Two Vietnam's for Obama: Bush's gifts to Obama just keep on coming!

Iraqi's Mourn After Worst Bombings in 2 Years

14 Americans killed in chopper crashes

In Iraq and Afghanistan it is Horrific and Horrific and don't forget Pakistan! As you know, three helicopters just crashed in Afghanistan killing 14 Americans supposedly in no hostile accidents. In Iraq the dual car bomb explosions that destroyed three Government Ministry buildings leaving so far 159 dead and more than 500 injured due to the Sunni Shiite civil war as Sunni's try to topple the Shiite led Government. Plus Pakistan!

Pakistan Battles Militants as Leaders Prepare to Meet

Obama is between a rock and a hard place in Afghanistan and Iraq compliments of Bush! I see nothing but disaster in Iraq. We knew this would be the case the day Bush ignored all good advice took his eye off Afghanistan so he could attack Iraq to get into the middle east as he spoke to God and God told him to straighten out the middle east. The civil war in Iraq will spread throughout the entire middle east before the entire world is engulfed as we knew would be the case from day one!

What do we do with the troops in Iraq? Another of my sons goes to Baghdad in November. If we add more troops in Afghanistan it is just more for the militants to kill. What can or will Obama do? Will any of this have anything to do with Obama's decision as to whether or not to add more troops in Afghanistan or how many to add? Please read on and watch the videos!

I do not believe either incident will affect Obama's decision. Security and safety can not be and will never be at 100%. Accidents will continue to happen, insurgents will continue to kill! I do not think the troop withdrawal from Iraq will or even can be changed. I still can not forget that Bush wanted a permanent Korea style force in the middle of his Iraqi civil war and middle east breakdown and wonder what Obama is going to do?

As soon as Bush illegally attacked Iraq he guaranteed a loss of both countries. All the troops in the world will change nothing besides creating more militants and getting more NATO troops killed. Before Bush attacked Iraq, Iraq and Afghanistan had nothing to do with each other. Today they are inextricably intertwined!

I understand the decision to add more troops may come before Afghanistan's runoff election and Friday Obama is going to have a meeting with the entire Joint Chiefs of Staff to listen to the input from the leaders of all branches before he makes a decision. At that point all fronts will have been heard from and I would expect to hear from Obama as to his decision shortly thereafter.

With increasing violence and a fraudulent Government in Afghanistan and violence erupting in Iraq prior to the elections as the Sunni's attempt to bring down the Shiite led Government we are stuck between a rock and a hard place with no good choices. Draw down in Iraq? Speed up the withdrawal? Pull out of Iraq all together? Stay in Afghanistan? Draw down? Add troops in the battle the Taliban call the End of Days War? I am afraid along with our and the worlds economic crisis Bush and the Republicans have succeeded in creating "Two Vietnams for Obama"

Two Vietnams? One Vietnam was one too many, man what a mess, How does a Government get "Peace With Honor" out of these two catastrophes? That's what's a stake here, how to pull out without losing face and appearing to be quitters. A way has to be found.

Holte the US Iraq Afghanistan the entire world is a mess and all compliment of that scum Bush who flew into the sunset saying he was proud of his disasters. I just see everything continuing to devolve I'm afraid!

There is only one way to end this and that will be to negotiate with the Taliban and Al Qaeda. I know that doesn't sound like a save face means but it is what happens in all stalemates. There's no way we can win this with the military even if we put 1/2 million troops there. And by what you said it looks like they'll use Iraq as a stepping off point to Afghanistan. Whether that is only a ploy to make them think we're doing a big surge in Afghanistan is anyones' guess. We do know however that Obama won't move troops in without a viable government there.

Demeur I have faith in Obama making the right decision though I do not think anyone can turn this around. You know I have 3 sons in this one on his way to Baghdad.

I was talking to his Bush loving older brother yesterday and by the time we finished a conversation on these two messes that scum caused IU volunteered to publicly slit his throat and you can bet I would!

Degociation is basically a great idea, only you can't negociate with insane people. And anti-social people, and that's what the great majority of terrorists are, do not respond positively to reason. That is the problem.

We are talking about a very small percentage of the population here and yet they control everything. The only solution is to educate decent and sane people about what an anti-social person is and that the only thing they can do is to stop supporting them!

Jim, I left a comment for you at Lil Bill's place, as a response to your comments.
Am in a rush, got folks form greenland flying in and have been renovating like mad (what else?!).
See ya!

Wow! Just read that about the great dane... geez! Better watch my neighbours' one then... but so far he's still pretending to be a hamster... especially when the little missus takes him for a walk, I guess the dog weighs 15 kg more than she does... so much for control!

Luckily I've never been bitten, but I guess if a dog ever tried that, it would get its throat cut - and I would probably land in jail for illeagal possesion of - a knife!!! Yep, that's Denmark!

What did you do afterwards? Did you need to sew it up or something?dere

All Obama needs to say is Bush was wrong about invading both countries and get out. Not one more person would hate America, than already does, if that happened.

The war on terror has been a war OF terror. The true corporate military industrial power of this country is running the show.

Obama would be riding into his own Dealey Plaza if he dared to wage peace. And he understands this.

It's easy to save face. Just say, "We did what we came for and now we're leaving"

Sarah Sofia-- Your comment about insane and anti-social people, and a very small percentage of the population controlling everything, could be used about both sides.

Sarah I have to laugh! You typed degotiation and I never heard of that and looked it up. What you said sounds like America. You can not form a government in Afghanistan, not to be a smart ass but they only know tribe!

Sarah that is funny about thinking he is a hamster. I had a dog so big and friendly at 1 year he weighed 110 and the kids used to ride him around the neighborhood.

Usually if it is a simple dog bite they just clean it out and let it heal and give you a rabies shot
.
I got bit in the rear when I was a kid and I still laugh picturing myself in my kitchen window showing all the kids outside.

Dave you're entirely right. Stabilize and get the hell out and advertise that!

Damn straight Brother! That mission accomplished Banner should have been flown over Afghanistan when it was noted that Al Qaeda was gone. Anything else whatever it is should be up to Afghanistan.
