I am sick! My sons and the rest of the military have put an awful lot into this and many have paid with life and limb. All we have done is trade their lives for fraud and corruption! I told you 16 days ago our soldiers deserved a legitimate election and they did not get it. Afghanistan must honor our troops and their citizens and legitimize their election!

The Taliban is watching our troops habits and movements and have learned how to kill them better and are improving every day. We should be learning from them and we should be avoiding setting patterns. I do not get it! Amidst this we have an election as corrupt as Iran's. This is what our soldiers are dying for? Karzai the false President? Election fraud? Theirs is not a Democracy! I look at Karzai and I listen to him I see nothing but contempt for America. He is accusing us of trying to unseat him. Maybe we should and are!

Amidst all this crap General McChrystal has been trying to get to the bottom of what happened when the US fighter blew up those 2 tankers and civilians were killed. Unbelievably when he first tried to get answers about the air strike the Commanders were out getting drunk! Can you believe it? I'm stunned! After what we saw with our mercenaries getting naked and drunk? Then he could not get an answer because the men he tried to question were drunk. He then banned alcohol, what? Why the hell was this not done from the get go?

This is the kind of ineptitude we have running things over there? No damn wonder things are not going well and the Taliban is only getting stronger? Rising violence there rising opposition here and they are going out and getting drunk? In Afghanistan? No wonder we are losing here and in Afghanistan. This is winning hearts and minds? This is no friggen joke!

This crap better stop now! Start being professional! We do not want Karzai to insult our troops and their valor and our own people over there are doing it. Start being professional! Honor our fighting men and women. The policy there is Clear Hold and Build not Screw it and Get Drunk! Ours is a mission in crisis amidst a corrupt election and a rising American death count and some of our key front line commanders are out getting drunk.

We will have 68,000 troops in Afghanistan by years end plus 38,000 other NATO troops. They say it is not enough. I say BS! after 8 years of listening to one of my sons off and on, on the front lines over there and watching events in Afghanistan for eight years I believe wholeheartedly that we do have enough troops if the dedication of many of our ground troops was equaled across the board.

We are facing dangers seen and unseen innate and created in Afghanistan a country a battlefield the size of Texas. Not just our troops mercenaries or not but all of NATO to the man better honor our dedicated hard working troops and start taking this as serious as it is or we will be responsible for our own defeat. WE only have about a year to turn this around I understand.

You know, when all is said and done I keep coming back to What the Hell is it Worth with stolen elections a corrupt Government and an Afghan Army that seems to not want to stand up and fight? Our troops did their job we should honor them cut our losses and get the hell out of there now.

We did that long ago! All right I found it. We as you know already upset the balance of power in the middle east and Bush purposely did it to go after Iran. What Gates is supposedly proposing today was already done by us. I had to go back to July 2007 to find the story but you will find this interesting because even under Obama this is still going to happen.

Balancing power they call it. U.S. promises of military aid or arms sales to strengthen its Middle Eastern allies against Iran and other regional foes seem aimed at repairing a balance of power destroyed by the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. That is not what is going to happen or what this is about. Supposedly Toppling Saddam Hussein ended Iraq's role as a counterweight to Iran, a part it had played since the 1980s in a Gulf security system that Washington had hoped would contain the rival powers.

That was only the smallest of the repercussions. Toppling Saddam gave Bush the excuse to get into the middle east, upset the balance of the entire middle east as Bush knew would be the case, and set the stage for Bush's new middle east order that has long been planned and he will not stop now. This is still just beginning but it will increase rapidly once Bush has others to fight for him. I had some interesting conversations yesterday in relation to yesterdays conversation on this story.

That made me remember how long this has all been planned, and put the rest of this developing scenario together. After 50 years of middle east policy and not arming them to fight wars Bush has changed that in hopes of getting them to fight Iran and Syria. Bush will be freed to attack Pakistan and Iran from the Gulf as Iraq quiets and others fight Iran on the ground! Bush has now pushed his effort to attack Iran in part to a proxy war via Israel, Saudi Arabia, and other so called middle east allies.

He will now be free to go after Pakistan and Iran from the Gulf with our carrier and battle Groups while others will be doing the brunt of the fighting and ground combat. Everything is almost prepared. Bush is prepared in the Gulf and we have a seasoned fleet Admiral in command of middle east forces set to lead events while others expend their efforts on Iran. Gorbachev is right and this will not be good. I have heard that we are thinking of sending undercover special forces to Turkey in order to combat Kurds from Iraq. I wouldn't put it past Bush at all but that too will backfire on us.

You know there are those of us that expect Bush to attack Pakistan too. I expect it in conjunction with the attack on Iran this fall or shortly thereafter. Now he will be in a position to do it.With what he is now doing with Israel, Saudi Arabia, and other so called middle east allies, He will be freed to go after Pakistan while others focus on Iran. Yes, Ahmadinejad once again supplied the impetus for him to say that but the stage was set long ago and it will not be changed regardless of what we want because stolen or not Ahmadinejad is still in power and he will do his share to get this going as you can read. Ahmadinejad derided his nuclear and Political opponents by likening them to "pollutants" staining "the gown of the revolution

I hate to say it but a hospital can not be sacred ground it ca not be a safe haven for the Taliban as you know it would be. We must have the ability to check every possibility be it hospital or morgue. At any rate I am sure it will not help our image and will be played to the hilt as we continue to lose the so called war for hearts and minds!

I hate to say it but with destruction of of the cities on the increase and rising civilian deaths seems to be beating us in the war to win hearts and minds too! The more we try to minimize civilian deaths the more the Taliban keep them underfoot and the more we are killing them for the Talban. We are killing them with "kindness"

At this point like it or not we better realize it is time to take the gloves off. Respect for "tradition" is used against us as the"brave" Taliban dress as women to hide and escape or hide in places reserved for women only. yes they hide in hospitals and areas of the hospital that are by tradition for women only. I am sure they figured it all out by themselves but the Palestinians set the standard. They set the example for the rest of the "extremists" to follow.

Hiding behind civilians and in hospitals and schools was the routine and capitalized on by the Palestinians and went on until the citizens tired of the deadly game and took matters into their own hands as the Afghan citizens must. Pakistanis also did it and still are fighting bravely. As the Taliban are these extremists kill their own in the name of God!

Any traditional war zone respect of any sort must not be abused but must temporarily go by the road side. As we hear so often this is not a traditional war if there is any such thing. Our enemy has no rules just kill the infidels "us" and sacrificing their own people in any manner is a goal not something to avoid as their new "code of conduct" states.

We in turn are forced by the Taliban at least to temporarily disregard their traditions when they offer protection for cowardly Taliban. We must however be a respectful as possible but to do the job right we must leave no tradition unchecked. We can not put female soldiers in a situation like this nor do we have the available women to spare so despite it being disrespectful to have men or soldiers in many "female" areas of the hospital it simply has to be acceptable and tolerated. * In closing let the complaints continue As long as we are there we have a job to do and sadly we are forced to ignore some customs to do the job right. Sadly civilians will continue to die! I have to wonder what is next in Afghanistan or if it even matters to us! With Both sides claiming victory in Afghanistan it is Politics as usual since Bush! Amidst reports of vote rigging and voter intimidation both Abdullah and Karzai are declaring victory. Abdullah and Karzai are both saying they have enough votes to avoid a run-off. The level of voter fraud gets more obvious and worse every day. I am disgusted not with Afghanistan but us, Bush! That scum and the example he set in 2000 and again in 2004 set the example of do what you want to manipulate the vote as long as you gat elected.

The world has learned the lesson well. These are not Democracies we are not a Democracy. Democracy like Religion thanks to Bush has become a code word to enable you to get what you want. Democracy what the hell is that? I said Bush will go down in History as the destroyer of our and he is but I am afraid the scum will succeed in crediting that to Obama too.

These close election since Bush are now routine and all around the frigging world in these so called Democracies and like here always amidst cries of coercion and fraud. Iran succeeded at least for now in stealing their election but I have to wonder what is next in Afghanistan or if it even matters to us!

NATO said they made sure there were no civilians in the area in Kunduz after 2 fuel tankers were hijacked by the Taliban and attacked by NATO warplanes as they were being emptied by civilians supposedly recruited to help the Taliban unload them. We first heard 90 civilians were killed in our latest effort to win hearts and minds NATO admitted to zero with promises of an investigation meanwhile alliance chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen later acknowledged that some civilians may have been killed. This kind of "success" as we supposedly search and destroy in our battle to win hearts and minds of course has been reaping rewards since day one and is only getting worse like everything else there with the passing of every year there and despite an increased call from the public to get out we keep adding troops with the promise of more to come as this continues to get worse and Obama vows to see it through!

* Civilian casualties (2001-2003) between 3,100 and 3,600 civilians were directly killed by U.S. Operation Enduring Freedom bombing and subsequent Special Forces attacks between October 7, 2001 and June 3, 2003. This estimate counts only so called "impact deaths" deaths that occurred in the immediate aftermath of an explosion or shooting, That number does not count deaths that occurred later as a result of injuries sustained or deaths that occurred as an indirect consequence of the U.S. airstrikes and invasion. We continue to parse numbers and facts to get the results officials want. I am sick of this crap!

* Civilian and overall casualties (2005) An estimated 1,700 people were killed in 2005 according to an AP count. Everyone is lumped together this time. We are including civilians, insurgents and security forces members. Some 600 policemen were killed between Karzai's election in early December 2004 and mid-May 2005.

* Civilian and overall casualties (2006) A report by Human Rights Watch said that 4,400 Afghans were killed in 2006. More than 1,000 of them were civilians. Some 2,077 militants were killed in Coalition operations between September 1 and December 13 and we have to assume another 1,100 or 1,200 were Afghan security forces. Things are not getting better here!

* Civilian and overall casualties (2007) More than 7,700 people were killed in 2007, including: 1,019 Afghan policemen, 4,478 militants; 1,980 civilians and 232 foreign soldiers. Professor Marc W. Herold of the University of New Hampshire estimated in September 2007 that between 5,700 and 6,500 Afghan civilians had been killed so far in the war by American and NATO military forces He stressed that this was an "absolute minimum" and probably "a vast underestimate" because the figures do not include what I consider to be the whole wider scope of the nightmare known as life in Afghanistan. * Civilian and overall casualties (2008) The UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) reported that 2,118 civilians were killed as a result of armed conflict in Afghanistan in 2008. It is getting higher but until 2009 this is the highest civilian death toll since the end of the initial 2001 invasion and represents an increase of about 40 percent over UNAMA's figure of 1,523 civilians killed in 2007.

* Civilian and overall casualties (2009) For the first half of 2009 UNAMA recorded 1,013 Afghan civilian deaths for the six months from January 1st to June 30. This represents an increase of 24% over the same period in 2008, when 818 civilians were killed.

Mexican Drug cartels kill anyone trying to kick the drug habit or so it appears! Don't forget the Malandrines!

It just gets worse and worse in Juarez Mexico as the drug cartels fight for a bigger piece of America's Drug pie. Juarez is drug war central. I watched a show last week where Juárez Mayor José Reyes Ferriz said that the situation is getting desperate as August ended with an unofficial tally of more than 300 homicides, surpassing the record of 258 homicides set in July. executions and mutilations as everyone knows by now are common in the drug cartel war, which has claimed about 3,000 lives in the Juárez area since it started in January 2008.

As is the norm, when I start researching a story it never ends up the way is started. That is the case in Juarez, Mexico! I started to discuss that Gunmen shot and killed 17 patients and wounded two others in a drug rehabilitation center in northern Mexico late Wednesday. I automatically suspected a cartel of taking revenge killings for members or just drug users attempting to go straight thus hurting their interests.

Then I found out that Mayor Jose Reyes Ferriz suspected it was a rival drug gang killing rival cartel members who were operating out of the Rehab center. I then started to wonder about the Government themselves in what I thought was a new level of violence in Juarez but it has happened before as the attack was similar to an attack at a drug facility in March that left 20 patients dead.

The year is not over but so far more than 1,420 people have been killed in Juarez this year and. about 1,600 people were killed in 2008. More than 11,000 people have since died, about 1,000 of them police since Felipe Calderon started Mexico's end of this drug war in 2006. Juarez is the homicide Capitol of the world! Juarez had an estimated rate of 130 killings per 100,000 people. By comparison, the homicide rate in New Orleans, Louisiana, the deadliest city in the United States in 2008, was 64 homicides per 100,000 residents. This underscores the unbelievable level of blood letting going on in this free for all supposedly as rival gangs kill each other as they vie for lucrative drug trade routes. This is the arrest of just 4 men, 4 men responsible for the murder of 211 people. Last week, eight young men, suspected of ties to auto theft rings, were also gunned down, as have another 36 in Culiacán over the past several months. There’s a tendency to claim all criminal activity is somehow related to the U.S. backed “War on Drugs”given that police and security activities in Sinaloa and along the border are focused on the big time gangsters, I suppose there is some justification in that assumption as I am sure you can all agree. It is plausible that the highly organized cartels are moving with extreme violence of course, into the stolen car market but that doesn’t quite explain the murders in Juarez and I contend neither does blaming everything on drug cartel violence. Cheney Palin in 2012! WRONG!

Two days ago I started a story about both sides now calling for Obama to get out of Afghanistan. Once again it morphed into the true story as to what was really going on by looking at a lot of things all happening at the same time. Something I heard yesterday brought full circle what The Democratic Party The Republican Party Cheney and Palin have all been working towards as President Obama is being hung out to dry in Afghanistan and on healthcare. Thinking of war monger heart attack Cheney with Frau Eva Braun Palin as his VP you better do everything to avoid that nightmare scenario.

I first heard that right winger George Wills said we should get out of Afghanistan then I heard that Both Party's want us out of Afghanistan!

Then everything that has been occurring and is occurring with health care Afghanistan Palin abandoning her post and Cheney tearing Obama down at every opportunity as his polls now show 60% of Americans are buying his lies and think he will keep them safe. Nothing can be further from the truth. If there is another 9/11 it will be directly his doing! I am afraid there will be another timely attack Cheney will say I told you so and the small core of his eccentrics will get him elected to supposedly keep us safe. God forbid! If that happened we are done. People can not be that stupid. Imagine Palin one heart attack away from destroying us with her stupidity!

Anyway we keep hearing that support for Afghanistan is waning but I think it is support for Obama that is waning as Republicans and their lies are beginning to sway people from Obama and the truth as both sides are guilty of purposely creating Obama's and our Waterloo while they play their Partisan games only concerned about their own party and agenda. If they succeed in making Obama fail and allowing Republicans back in our Waterloo will be guaranteed!

A majority of Americans now want us out of Afghanistan! The left the Right Media they all want us out of Afghanistan. I remember when this Bush mess started to be labeled as Obama's war. Bush's mess of an economy is now called Obama's. The Bail outs increased socialism all started by Bush and now credited to Obama. Health care reform is his but in the effort to create his Waterloo I am afraid that will fail too.

I do happen to agree with our getting out of Afghanistan but like everything else that too was Bush's! Right from the start we kept hearing "We are not in the business of Nation building" What a lie! We did our job in Afghanistan as it was originally portrayed to the world and the American people! We supposedly attacked Afghanistan to get the Taliban out of control of the Government and get Bin Laden out. He is gone so now we should leave.

We should concentrate on the Afghanistan Pakistan border. We should withdraw from Afghanistan and concentrate all our efforts on defending Pakistan's border with the use of drones. That should be our primary goal. We should work with Pakistan a country that has proven they want to destroy Al-Qaida and the Taliban. They have proven they want their Democracy. They have shown they are willing to fight and die in defense of their Government and we should help them.

We should cut our losses and get out of Afghanistan before we have another Saigon as I originally feared. The Government of Afghanistan is corrupt to the core and Afghanistan's army in large appears unwilling to fight. Leave them to their own demise and see how much they want their Democracy!

Afghanistan is Bush's war! However a while back Republicans Democrats and the media started calling Afghanistan Obama's war now they are all calling for him to get out, cut our losses. Knowing Obama right or not will not do that and has already added more troops with promises of adding more if needed you have to think they are hanging him out to dry as they endeavor to create his Waterloo.Cheney is posturing to run in 2012 so you better hope they fail to make Obama fail.

President Obama is on a slippery slope! Cut and run seems to be the message. In every regard now, health care, the economy, everything, both sides seem to be hanging Obama out to dry and setting him up for failure. You better hope they fail because they only care about their party and their agenda not you. If we lose Obama the only one who has your best interest at heart you are on your own. I told you from day one that Obama is on his own.

I do however believe we should get out of Afghanistan. As the original goal in attacking Afghanistan was portrayed to the world and the American public was supposed to be to free the Afghan government of the Taliban and getting rid of Bin Laden has been met we should leave. I thought we were not in the business of Nation building? Our goal was supposed to be to keep us from being hit again, preventing another 9/11. We can do that from here.

I am just peeved that we never should have attacked Iran and Democrats wanted us out while Republicans wanted us to stay there. Why? I agree with leaving Afghanistan but beside wanting to see Obama fail why are they calling for Obama to withdraw? I think again it is all about making the winner Obama "the loser" Health care, Afghanistan, the economy, in every instance both sides seem to want Obama's thus our Waterloo. You better hope they fail.

57% now oppose the war in Afghanistan 60% now believe Cheney's lies and are on his side. I guess they forgot he wants us in Afghanistan. Democrats and Republicans both say Obama has no plan for Afghanistan and Obama has no health care plan. Wait a minute this was all Bush's mess before it was given to Obama what the hell was his plan? War, war, war? Let the insurance companies continue to decide who lives and dies and don't allow the Government to stop it?

Everything is making sense to me now. I wondered what Palin was up to when she abandoned her post. I wondered why Cheney kept injecting himself in the mix as being right and our savior. I just found out there is a drive for a Cheney Palin ticket for 2012. That will tell you the future they want and why they want Obama to fail. In researching I found out it was set up in April! Cheney Palin in 2012!

They do not care about "OUR" America they want to get in and finish us and their agenda off. Maybe we should hope for a Cheney Palin ticket. Maybe we should hope that the Republican Fascist pup tent party does nominate Cheney and Palin with a promise of a return to lies and control to fiinish their total Fascist America that supposedly Obama is trying to form.

* In closing I believe only then will these Fascist extremists will really be brought out into the open and the majority will finally stand up and be counted. We are all going to have to defend the new America Obama is trying to establish, the one that our founding father intended. We finally have it. We are going to have to fight for it!

When Baittulah Mehsud was killed we thought Mehsud in the end may prove to have been more important than Bin Laden as he gave the leaders protection and held them all together. As you know, Taliban commanders have been killing each other as they have been jockeying for position since Baittulah was killed. We know Hakimullah Mehsud was supposedly elected as Pakistan's new Taliban leader. Meanwhile Waliur Rehman said that Baittulah had given him full control over the network. Also Mehsud's in-laws were being murdered as they were suspected of targeting him for the drone. Civilian militia's have also as you know started helping the military and have been hunting down the Taliban.

My best hopes are coming true here! The Pakistani army is making tremendous inroads as Pakistan army kills 45 Taliban; border reopens There seems to be a decapitation of the Taliban and al Qaeda at least in Pakistan. As hoped the Taliban are in disarray and hopefully will kill themselves off.

I really do not care who is killing them as long as they are killed! I feel a bit sadistic but I am very happy to hear Taliban bodies keep showing up! 30 more Bodies were just found sprinkled around the Swat Valley bringing the total to more than 150 in the last month. The military denies any reprisal killings and the militia is not taking credit so I am hoping the Taliban continues to do what they do best and that is kill! Last week after it was announced there would be an investigation we wondered Who will take the fall and will it go to the top like it should? All right this is a good start but I thought appointing special prosecutors is a waste of time and money but believe Holder will do this right for once. We now know veteran prosecutor John Durham has been appointed to the task of holding a so called limited investigation "narrow in scope" of the CIA and"illegal" torture techniques.

We saw narrow in scope when Clinton was investigated for Whitewater and we ended up with Monica Lewinsky and Impeachment under Ken Starr? We are now hearing of CIA threats to kill suspects kids. One terrorist suspect was told his Mother would be sexually assaulted in front of him. One was told his family would be killed.Waving a handgun next to a prisoners head, revving a power drill next to his head while shackled and hand cuffed' whether you agree with it or not this is torture!

Bush Lawyers who okayed this torture and Cheney, Rummy, and Rice, who gave the go ahead should be prosecuted period. Cheney, Rummy, Rice, the Attorney General, they are the ones who should all be held accountable. They were the lying underhanded enablers in all the Bush misadministration injustice. They should not get away scot free but I expect they will. I think it is great that officially the White House is staying out of this and they must. So far NATO has had 44 troops killed this month in Afghanistan equaling last month the worst in 8 years. I am sorry to say as you already know but August is on track to be the worst month yet in this Deadly game of Bullets Bombs and Ballots. Afghanistan is heating up! Does the increase of troop deaths reflect a result of our troop increase of which even more look likely? Or is it due to an increase of Taliban activity in which Pakistan's Taliban promises increasing support? Both as you know!

This is coming amidst growing finger pointing on the election and its fraud by both leaders Hamid Karzai and Abdullah Abdullah. Abdullah keeps showing videos pointing out the fraud. I have heard of 300 allegations so far but Karzai is the President and you can be sure nothing will come of it. At this point I am sure the Taliban want Karzai to win so they can grow their Opium and continue to be unscathed by Karzai where Abdullah Abdullah is a more serious threat to them.

I in closing we are in serious trouble unless we get out right now and cut our losses. The longer we stay the more I see another Saigon! I know that won't happen nor can it happen. I firmly believe that President Obama will continue to get the money he wants and he will be okay as long as he keeps these two wars going. If he pulls out he will be killed. He will suffer the same fate as JFK, RFK, and MLK,and once again the truth will never be found. I am afraid I face the future with growing apprehension!

He served 46 years, Kennedy was the 2nd most senior member of Congress, the 3rd longest serving Senator in History. He fought for a fair and more just America the whole time. Health care was his passion! I see a Health care reform Bill being passed now as a tribute to Senator Kennedy! Top Democrats vowed to fight for it to honor Kennedy. He said we will all live on in the future we make. Well let us make it!

How do we remember Teddy Kennedy the last of the Kennedy men? His Irishness? His Compassion? His sense of Humor? His senate long fight for health care? His devotion to the common man? So far I have heard 10 to 20 cases must be looked at. Robert Gibbs said President Obama does not want anyone that was following the rules to be investigated. Those who were using drills and guns beating prisoners with flashlights etc. torture or not were not following the rules. Cheney himself said said we would use anything any means available to them. I keep hoping the Taliban will continue to in fight vying to replace Baitullah Mehsud. I guess that appears not to be the case as we are hearing rumors that his successor has already been chosen. Bush's 3D politics has spread around the world! Latest example Afghanistan! Afghanistan's flawed election, sounds like another American success! Seeing that the inept life long long loser was a total liar I was stunned that someone voted him in. He was voted to follow someone else's agenda. That turned out to be Rove and Cheney. Their controlling lying fear mongering led me to coin a phrase I now see the norm in our politics and every country around the world.

To me Rove Cheney and little Bush were the real axis of evil and were using their 3D politics to achieve their goals. (3D politics = Deceitful, deceptive, divisive politics) It seems in every election in every country we hear cries of fraud not just here in the US and more visibly in Iran during the June Presidential election. I have to tell you, I wrote a story about Afghanistan's election and that it must be legitimized the other day because it is important to the entire world and it was the first story I ever wrote that was not widely received. What is the Malaise? I want my sons and all our troops out. Our Democracy is still righting itself but it is the Republican goal to get it back to Bush's controlling low life standard.

You want to decry other Nations not just Afghanistan's election but their Politicians have learned their lesson well!Meanwhile I am listening right now to Admiral Mullins say the situation in Afghanistan is deteriorating and we must have successful elections so whoever the leader is can take control of the deteriorating country. I was listening to Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff say more troops may be asked for. 15,000 to 45,000 more on top of those just added because the situation is serious and deteriorating. The challenges of Afghanistan are extraordinary. Bush screwed around in Iraq and created another Vietnam for Obama. I have long dreaded seeing another Saigon rout. We should get out NOW while the getting out is good and monitor how much want their so called Democracy!

Afghanistan's presidential rivals claim victory



With Both sides claiming victory in Afghanistan it is Politics as usual since Bush! Amidst reports of vote rigging and voter intimidation both Abdullah and Karzai are declaring victory. Abdullah and Karzai are both saying they have enough votes to avoid a runoff. First, the brave citizens who defied the Taliban's threats and violence should be commended for wanting their leader and Democracy enough to come out and vote.

At least in disrupting and preventing the election the Taliban has failed. However if both sides declare victory it will delegitimize our efforts over there more importantly all our men and women over there for all our NATO forces. I have to hope the two front runners President Karzai and Abdullah Abdullah honor their Brave citizens and America's considerable effort and keep this election process honorable though I admit that would be too much to ask in our own sad Political state.

This is another test for Afghanistan's young Democracy. One man who came out of the poll with his young son after voting said we have only one life at the end of the day as in Iran Women came out in large numbers and carried the day Despite Taliban intimidation and violence. After just 3 polling stations were counted both sides see things in their favor but real results should start trickling in by August 25th with final results due around September 5th.

I did hear that one person with a voting card admitted that he was only 13 years old. I can only hope voting fraud in whatever shape was not wide spread and whoever wins the election it is legitimized and they can quell the violence as Abdullah and his supporters are confident he can do and we can get the heck out of there as soon as possible.

Our multiple millions spent on our efforts in Afghanistan are not my only concern but it might be with our $12 trillion in Debt and our rapid slide towards bankruptcy.
