Canada is required to arrest George W Bush:

4
Canada is required to arrest George W Bush: “Canada is required by its international obligations to arrest and prosecute former president Bush given his responsibility for crimes under international law including torture,” Amnesty’s Susan Lee said in a statement. “As the U.S. authorities have, so far, failed to bring former president Bush to justice, the international community must step in. A failure by Canada to take action during his visit would violate the UN Convention Against Torture and demonstrate contempt for fundamental human rights,” Lee said.

The whole lot of the Bush cronies should be arrested. What the hell gives Cheney the right to decide whether or not he is going to cooperate with a Special prosecutor? Last week after it was announced there would be an investigation we wondered Who will take the fall and will it go to the top like it should? Cut it off at the head doesn't only apply to killing snakes! All right this is a good start but I thought appointing special prosecutors is a waste of time and money but believe Holder will do this right for once. We now know veteran prosecutor John Durham has been appointed to the task of holding a so called limited investigation "narrow in scope" of the CIA and"illegal" torture techniques.

We saw narrow in scope when Clinton was investigated for Whitewater and we ended up with Monica Lewinsky and Impeachment under Ken Starr? We are now hearing of CIA threats to kill suspects kids. One terrorist suspect was told his Mother would be sexually assaulted in front of him. One was told his family would be killed.Waving a handgun next to a prisoners head, revving a power drill next to his head while shackled and hand cuffed' whether you agree with it or not this is torture!

Bush Lawyers who okayed this torture and Cheney, Rummy, and Rice, who gave the go ahead should be prosecuted period. Cheney, Rummy, Rice, the Attorney General, they are the ones who should all be held accountable. They were the lying underhanded enablers in all the Bush misadministration injustice. They should not get away scot free but I expect they will. I think it is great that officially the White House is staying out of this and they must. I am sure Bush pundits made a deal with him that there would be no prosecutions by him of higher ups.

It’s no surprise that Karl Rove puts politics before due process, democracy and civil rights. That’s why even when faced with a subpoena from Congress, Rove has refused to testify. Unlike Don Siegelman, Karl Rove is breaking the law. Rove believes that he is not only above the law, but that he controls it. He’s wrong. Check out Send Karl Rove to Jail, and sign our petition to ensure that the House Judiciary Committee holds Rove in contempt.

It was actually already attempted by citizens in Iowa and Des Moines police arrested four people Friday who attempted a citizen's arrest of former White House adviser Karl Rove. Rove was in Des Moines to speak at a fundraiser. A news release says a retired minister and three members of the Des Moines Catholic Workers community were cited for trespassing and released.

The four accused Rove of election fraud and conspiracy to commit offense or to defraud the United States in the time before the Iraq war. The arrest complaint also says they accused Rove of treason, sedition and subversive activities for fraudulent acts leading to the deaths of 300,000 Iraqi civilians and 4,000 U.S. Military personnel. Kirk Brown and Mona Shaw, two of the four arrested Friday, attempted a similar arrest last March when Rove spoke at the University of Iowa. attempted citizens arrest of Rove

* I understand this has already been attempted on John Boltonz and Condi Rice. I do not see any of them ever being held accountable but like the WW2 Nazi's I am having increasing hope that people will wake up some day and hold the perpetrators of this still just developing nightmare even though it will come too late to affect the outcome!

I think it is not only calculated but great that the White House is staying out of this. This is perfect because Eric Holder will take charge. The special prosecutors will start with the interrogators and go right to the top. As you know I think the interrogators thought they were protected so should be disciplined but keep their jobs. However when they do get to the top heads should roll and holder is the man to see it through!

Holder said only techniques not authorized by the CIA should be investigated. Supposedly firing guns on the other sides of prisoners cells so they would believe they would be shot was something else that was not authorized by the CIA but that authorization order is what should be closely perused. If the CIA did not authorize it the interrogators should be prosecuted if not go right to the top and prosecute them to the limit of the law! Cheney and Rummy did and they are the ones who ultimately should be prosecuted.

It is beyond me how Cheney has gotten away from day one of being an obvious fascist dictator and above law. It was obvious from the day he picked himself as dictator I mean Vice President that he was the real Decider. Now the scum is saying Obama has gone against his word in allowing Holder to hold investigations. Cheney just gets more ignorant every day. This is not the Bush misadministration when the AG did Cheney and Bush's bidding to enable their illegalities! Ridge, Cheney Assailed Holder's Decision

Why are they letting Cheney foam at the mouth and placate his mindless followers? Why has no one spoken up and reminded that Obama is not above the law like Bush was. He to my knowledge is doing things right. He was very smart to have Holder do this. Someone should speak up and shut Cheney up! The Attorney General does not do Obama's bidding they are an independent agency for a good reason as you saw under Bush and Cheney.

Someone of consequence better start speaking up. We are watching ourselves devolve into chaos and we have idiots like Cheney saying they do not know if they are going to cooperate with the law or not. How the hell can he say whether I cooperate or not depends on whether or not I like the line of questioning? He is accused Holder of making this Political while he reasserted that he is above the law. Someone better start Growing some and quick! Cheney shrugged off CIA-torture investigation

If we can not arrest and jail Bush and all his treasonous enablers we can only hope they are stupid enough to go to another country where they must be held accountable by UN law. It is a sad commentary where they can roam around the US because for some screwed up reason they are above the law here. WTF?

Whistleblower Pilot Posts Video Exposing Airport Security Flaws! We need many more everywhere

Pilot shows ?serious flaws? in airport security

Whistleblower: Pilot Posts Video Exposing Airport Security Flaws

He should be commended. It is obvious that we are nurturing terrorists and extremists and are much less safer today than we were before 9/11. The airports are just one small part of the whole. Other experts in their field better start speaking up and may be instead of a facade of security we can have some real security. We really have yet to start!

To top off all the increasing problems we are facing we now have an American terrorist topping Osama Bin Laden as our biggest threat. He has been able to martial an ever increasing number of home bred radicals seeking to harming America and kill their fellow Americans.

We constantly hear how much safer we are here and we keep seeing our so called security at main airports circumvented and compromised. There are too many examples now, underwear bomber and shoe bomber aside as well as the explosives found in Bahrain and Britain after they were flown there on passenger jets. They were only found because of a repentant Al Qaeda member. We have up to now been lucky not overly vigilant.

We know a dozen would be terrorists were just caught in England before they could do any damage. We were also made aware of a widespread conspiracy to poison the food in Restaurants and hotels. For that matter we know how vulnerable our food supply is and from seed to market how difficult it would be to secure if it was to become a target as you can be sure it will be.

Since 9/11, Washington has spent billions of dollars on airport security. But the bigger terrorist threat may be at U.S. seaports There are some 16,000 containers passing through our ports every day. Heretofore we have captured only illegal immigrants. A 16 year old kid managed to get in the wheel well of a passenger plane, died and fell out. What if he had evil intentions?

We are not safer or safe! We have almost 100,000 miles of coastline. Look at it by State small air ports and landing strips number in the millions and are everywhere, heck for small planes you don't need a runway. we have over 7,000 of unprotected border The facade of safety is merely to make citizens feel an effort is being made and they are safer but safer? Not hardly!

'Constant' Terror Threats: Are We Any Safer? No way, we are much less safer than before 9/11

'Constant' Terror Threats -- Are We Any Safer? Actually we are exponentially less safe!

Holder: Awlaki Is on Same List of Worrisome Terrorists as bin Laden so what? We see what that's worth!

looking at today's unwinding horrors we will be facing long into the future. We watch Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, Pakistan, Iran, Israel, Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, China and Taiwan, North and South Korea, water pollution, air pollution, global warming, water wars, food wars, numerous future wars in the making, under Bush's war mongering I have been long convinced we had not had the defining moment of our time, our moment of extreme challenge.

9/11 was not the defining moment of our time as we are told, that event has not occurred yet but that moment is coming and soon and it could very well be upon us. A lot of people tell me to get over Bush but the US and the world will never be able to as he upset US and world balance that will forever affect us all.

We are so much less safe today it is overwhelming! Our moment of reckoning has yet to come!

If Proposition 19 passes Feds will stop playing nice

When I first heard of Eric Holder's stance on California's proposition 19 if it passes I dismissed it knowing California at this point has implemented a full business plan including pot farms, factories, stores, an advertisement plan, taxation plans, the whole 9 yards. They also had the backing of retired cops judges lawyers and other notables. look how deep into this California is.

I do believe it will pass! My original thought was what are they going to do arrest millions? Now that this is getting closer Holder is coming out with his intentions and it is very disconcerting. We have real issues to deal with, we have wars to fight. These BS games have got to stop! There is no reason cannabis is illegal other than the fact that it would encroach on millions of harmful so called legal products.

Knowing how useful cannabis is along with how harmless it is, it is sick that they ever got to lump that in with pot.Funny enough they re legalized it during WW2 because they needed the products and made it illegal again when they thought people would not fight and Russia would use it against us after the war.

My concern now is that people all over that State on every level have exposed themselves and the feds now know exactly who they will have to go after. Attorney General Eric Holder who once promised to be easy on medical marijuana users now now says that If California voters pass Proposition 19, which largely legalizes pot, Washington will come down hard. If Prop. 19 passes Feds will stop playing nice

His stance should clear away any misconceptions about the legal status of marijuana or who is in charge. Marijuana though this is dead wrong remains an illegal drug under federal law, whether state voters feel otherwise. Growing, smoking, or selling the marijuana is against the law Holder indicated but I believe like gay marriage this too should be up to the state period.

President Obama's top law enforcement officer said the administration will "vigorously enforce" federal drug laws. Holder signaled a legal kitchen-sink approach was in the works if Prop. 19 wins. He would go after sellers and organizations that distribute the weed. The attorney general would also go to court to stop the measure from taking effect. We have better things to do damn it!

Holder promises to enforce US drug laws if Prop. 19 passes: Too late! What are they going to arrest millions?

California struggles with pot legalization

We already know but according to marijuana California Marijuana is, in all likelihood, the largest cash crop in the United States, at an estimated $35.8 billion a year.

Holder promises to enforce US drug laws if Prop. 19 passes

Too late they let it go to far!

Pot growing Grandmother Kristi, 68, has been growing and dispensing marijuana from her home in northern California since the 1970s.

California marijuana vote draws unlikely foes, allies into ring

Proposition 19, also known as the Regulate, Control and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010 Wikepedia

Oakland, California (CNN) Dan Rush stood in front of Oaksterdam University, a cannabis college two blocks from City Hall, enthusiastically describing his mission to unionize marijuana workers. Retired Cops, Judges and Lawyers Push to Legalize, some ex-cops, state assemblymen and billionaire businessmen favor legalization, while there are pot growers and dealers who want to keep it outlawed. This really has promise! I didn't even know there was a pot College!

Now I hear In addition to Oaksterdam, where more than 7,000 graduates have taken classes on law, horticulture and "cannabusiness," there are plans to turn Los Angeles' aging Hotel Normandie into pads for pot tourists. Just north of Laytonville, in the ganja-flush Emerald Triangle, lies Area 101, a rural 165-acre roadside retreat where visitors "can get down and get high with the spirit of the land."

There are entire towns packed with hemp stores, head shops and feed-and-seeds, cater to growers in the Emerald Triangle. At a bar in Redway, growers sat on the porch of a local bar smoking "Blue Dream" marijuana. I have a 68 year old friend from Boston who lives there and smokes and I never heard of this. Taxing Cannabis, by the numbers

I really am impressed with the way this is going in California and believe this should be country wide though the Fed is still a road block but I think it is a big hurdle that canbe hurdled if only because of our financial crisis. We have been discussing California's progress from pot factories and legal marijuana farming to their first advertisement on it. If you missed it here it is for you to elaborate on if desired. Here

It is obvious the Feds are not going to be able to go after those that offend Federal marijuana laws if proposition 19 passes as Holder threatens, they have let this go too far and I love it! This is now a full business model with an industry and millions of so called offenders. "Forget about it" fight your other wars, California has gone to far with this to turn back.

7 former CIA directors try to hide the truth as CIA Chiefs Ask Obama to Stop Abuse Inquiry but Obama refuses to halt torture probe!

7 former CIA directors try to hide the truth as CIA Chiefs Ask Obama to Stop Abuse Inquiry

Obama refuses to halt CIA probe into torture
I just love this because Holder taking the point on this frees up Obama from any involvement though as a constitutional Lawyer I have to believe he is behind having the "alleged" torture investigated. Hmmm! 7 CIA Directors agree with Cheney. I as you most likely agree have to assume they have been guilty at one time or the other of indiscretion. I have to ask! If Cheney can decide whether or not he will cooperate and you know he will not what is to stop all the rest of them?

I reiterate What the hell gives Cheney the right to decide whether or not he is going to cooperate with a Special prosecutor? Last week after it was announced there would be an investigation we wondered Who will take the fall and will it go to the top like it should?
