'Constant' Terror Threats: Are We Any Safer? No way, we are much less safer than before 9/11

'Constant' Terror Threats -- Are We Any Safer? Actually we are exponentially less safe!

Holder: Awlaki Is on Same List of Worrisome Terrorists as bin Laden so what? We see what that's worth!

looking at today's unwinding horrors we will be facing long into the future. We watch Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, Pakistan, Iran, Israel, Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, China and Taiwan, North and South Korea, water pollution, air pollution, global warming, water wars, food wars, numerous future wars in the making, under Bush's war mongering I have been long convinced we had not had the defining moment of our time, our moment of extreme challenge.

9/11 was not the defining moment of our time as we are told, that event has not occurred yet but that moment is coming and soon and it could very well be upon us. A lot of people tell me to get over Bush but the US and the world will never be able to as he upset US and world balance that will forever affect us all.

We are so much less safe today it is overwhelming! Our moment of reckoning has yet to come! To top off all the increasing problems we are facing we now have an American terrorist topping Osama Bin Laden as our biggest threat. He has been able to martial an ever increasing number of home bred radicals seeking to harming America and kill their fellow Americans.

We constantly hear how much safer we are here and we keep seeing our so called security at main airports circumvented and compromised. There are too many examples now, underwear bomber and shoe bomber aside as well as the explosives found in Bahrain and Britain after they were flown there on passenger jets. They were only found because of a repentant Al Qaeda member. We have up to now been lucky not overly vigilant.

We know a dozen would be terrorists were just caught in England before they could do any damage. We were also made aware of a widespread conspiracy to poison the food in Restaurants and hotels. For that matter we know how vulnerable our food supply is and from seed to market how difficult it would be to secure if it was to become a target as you can be sure it will be.

Since 9/11, Washington has spent billions of dollars on airport security. But the bigger terrorist threat may be at U.S. seaports There are some 16,000 containers passing through our ports every day. Heretofore we have captured only illegal immigrants. A 16 year old kid managed to get in the wheel well of a passenger plane, died and fell out. What if he had evil intentions?

We are not safer or safe! We have almost 100,000 miles of coastline. Look at it by State small air ports and landing strips number in the millions and are everywhere, heck for small planes you don't need a runway. we have over 7,000 miles of unprotected border The facade of safety is merely to make citizens feel an effort is being made and they are safer but safer? Not hardly!

It's all a state of mind Jim. After 911 did we see bombers in our malls or car bombings at police stations? No, we did not. What we've seen are home grown run of the mill crazies in our own country.
Knowing what I do about security I'd say we're a lot safer. It has tightened up by volumes since that fateful day. The problem as I see it isn't with our security but with airports around the world that let things slid.

Hi Demeur! No we didn't see what the fear mongers were saying to control us. However we are seeing a smattering of what is to come both home grown and foreign and not just Muslims but the so called lone wolves as everything gets worse.
