NATO Bombs Tripoli in Heaviest Strikes Yet as Libyan Rebel Council to Open Office in Washington and Obama, Cameron predict success in Libya

NATO Bombs Tripoli in Heaviest Strikes Yet

Tripoli attacked for second night Russia is not happy as this will not work and is not what they signed on for.

Libyan Rebel Council to Open Office in Washington

Obama, Cameron predict success in Libya: Predicting success in Libya, President Barack Obama said Wednesday that Moammar Gadhafi would ultimately be forced to step down if NATO keeps up its military campaign with the U.S. playing a key role. They are warning Gaddafi to step down but you can be guaranteed he will not. He will kill as many as possible until they kill or capture him and then others will continue his end until this gets much worse and spreads and many interests will make sure it does.

MUAMMAR Gaddafi's regime is on the run, a NATO official says, as alliance jets blasted Libya's capital and Russia slammed the blitz of Tripoli as a "grave departure" from UN resolutions. Gaddafi is not on the run he has yet to begin to fight, remember? Also Russia is right and we are going to pay dearly for it in many respects.

Glad to see this is going the way of the rebels and wonder what Libya and the region will look like without Gaddafi? That said it sickens me that we have frozen multiple $Billions of Gaddafi's assets and the rebels have been selling oil so I refuse to believe they are looking for funding. Stupid us will give it to them to. At the very least they should be given Gaddafi's Billions and should be paying us for the personnel and materials used in our efforts to help them acquire their freedom.

We are beginning to recognize the rebel Government more and more and more of the world are coming forward and speaking up against Gaddafi., that I am afraid means we are in this for the long haul and will have to come to the rescue if this goes south instead of leaving the rebels to their own demise. I am very concerned because this is not just Libya, this is all the tribes in the region many of who are right now recieving $1000 a day to fight for Gaddafi. I am convinced the end of Gaddafi is just the beginning of this mess.

I am afraid this is just beginning unless we can kill them all and we can't so WTF are we doing there? We can't go in Osama style with seal team 6. Our only option is to get the hell out of there and supply the rebels with arms food money and medicine unless Gaddafi tries to mine the sea ports again. I said it when we first got involved in Libya but this whole thing just blows me away. Then there is Syria, Iran, and the rest of the middle east and Africa.

I said from the beginning in Libya that if we are serious we had to go directly after Tripoli and Gaddafi's extensive military assets there. We are finally doing that. If there was a way to totally neutralize Gaddafi's heavy weapons and defenses those rebels may stand a chance. Still, remembering Gaddafi's original statement that many thousands will be killed I am afraid he is getting closer to using his cyanide, mustard gas and vast reserves of chemical weapons.

Gaddafi already issued gas masks to those doing his murdering for him. What choice will we have but to drop a MOAB (mother of all bombs) or a 30,000 pound bunker buster in the middle of his compound designed to dig 7 or 8 stories underground before detonating and take as many of them out as we can. They are not going to relent period. We can not get any deeper than we are so I am happy to see the rebels making gains but leery with Gaddafi forces encroaching on Tunisia and attempting to widen thus war or whatever you want to call it..

Mornin Jim ... I heard briefly on the news about this, this morning (ABC News) ... also I thought I heard that not just Russia, but the Chinese are upset over something, what get's me is this Jim ... what are the Chinese or even Russian's spending in this? I am really lost here Jim, and have no bloody idea where this may go, I only made the first posting the first few dayz of this out of humor and sarcasm, because US was trying to tell us, this isnt war, were only a humanitarian service, blah, blah, blah, and the usual mush- mush talk when folk's are lying through their teeth. So I just figured it would get more deeper, but not expecting this crap to go on indefinitely. Another thing I want to ask you since you are more on the "up & up" on this ... you mention about dropping the MOAB's in many posting's on this "bunker" ... are you saying that we actually know where Ghadaffi is, as far as a location of a known bunker? ... and if so ... why hasnt a MOAB's been dropped on it, instead of all these random target's?

Thanx ....

Oh yeah, we know where Gaddafi is or was. His right hand man defected and is feeding us info.

Anyway Russia is pissed because we are upsetting things again. After you read this you will be surprised at those partaking and not voicing opposition. China was getting a lot of Libyan oil that is why they are pissed. Plus they are oppressing and killing their own too. Here

Serves Libya right for trying to go to the Gold Standard and making the world trade gold for the American oil buried under their country.

Don't they understand that our money is more valuable than gold because we print in vast quantities by typing n commands on a computer keyboard? Fiat inflationary printing is hard work, you know.

Wease I just don't know about anything any more. Everything is so purposely convoluted so everyone can follow a hidden agenda I don't have a clue about anything any more.

That's intentional Jim. Remember your Sun Tzu?

When retreating make it appear you're attacking. When attacking make it appear that you are retreating.

Never disclose your goals. If you wish to accomplish Goal A, make it appear that you are trying to accomplish Goal B.

"All war is deception." - Sun Tzu

If we take Sun Tzu seriously, then what we learn is if you decide to wage a war, you should lie to everyone (not in on it) about everything. you should definitely lie to the public about your goals and motivations, because your enemies are going to hear everything they hear.

Thanx for the Economist link Jim, and that explain's actually the whole goddamn thing in few word's and a nutshell, and what I suspected all along, but was not hoping for. This mean's that were in this for the longhaul and it's "ALL" about oil and money and not as damn thing else, and the reason why we are going to foot most of the lives and cost's is because we owe China so much and made them too many promises, they hold probably the largest portion of US debt, etc .. and basically our political structure done sold this country out across the board. So it's a moot point for me to even think that we have any chance of not getting drained of everything, we have nothing left, and a dysfunctional government who cant do a damn thing for this country either, because their all bought and paid for too. Which mean's bottom line, about the only thing left for the American people to do, is actually vote both these polarizing parties out of existence, make term limit's for them, and stop these pay- off's that our politician's take, or just to have an all out revolution in this country and take it back by force.
