NATO Bombs Tripoli, Fight Stirs East Front
Tripoli sites bombed, rebels claim Misrata: NATO warplanes struck a command center in Tripoli early Tuesday in the heaviest bombing of the Libyan capital in weeks, while rebels — capitalizing on other NATO air strikes — reported battlefront gains that could ease the siege of the port city of Misrata.
Personally we have enough going on already but NATO thus the US have already gotten involved with their 3rd war in a Muslim country. The no fly zone is a failure as I see it because Libya's extensive offensive air capabilities have not been taken out. Gaddafi is not going to stop regardless. His use of not just rockets and missiles were are being degraded but his use of balloons and parachutes to drop deadly ordinance on his people and their resources shows that we can not do enough unless someone in NATO gets their boots on the ground.
I do not want to see anyone's citizens being senselessly slaughtered but we never should have gotten involved in Libya in the first place. It was obvious to an idiot that Gaddafi is a mad man with extensive assets up his sleeves and he will not relent. He will do whatever he can to slaughter the rats who want a free Libya because Libya belongs to him and his family.
We are being forced to step this up and we should not. It was obvious from the get go that the rebels could not do this on there own not from lack of desire but because Gaddafi the mad man would kill as many as he could and he is. It would make him very happy if we put boos on the ground as it would in the very least motivate the mercenaries fighting for him and his loyal followers.
I am afraid this is just beginning unless we can kill them all and we can't so WTF are we doing there? We can't go in Osama style with seal team 6. Our only option is to get the hell out of there and supply the rebels with arms food money and medicine unless Gaddafi tries to mine the sea ports again. I said it when we first got involved in Libya but this whole thing just blows me away. Then there is Syria, Iran, and the rest of the middle east and Africa.
I said from the beginning in Libya that if we are serious we had to go directly after Tripoli and Gaddafi's extensive military assets there. We are finally doing that. If there was a way to totally neutralize Gaddafi's heavy weapons and defenses those rebels may stand a chance. Still, remembering Gaddafi's original statement that many thousands will be killed I am afraid he is getting closer to using his cyanide, mustard gas and vast reserves of chemical weapons.
Gaddafi already issued gas masks to those doing his murdering for him. What choice will we have but to drop a MOAB (mother of all bombs) or a 30,000 pound bunker buster in the middle of his compound designed to dig 7 or 8 stories underground before detonating and take as many of them out as we can. They are not going to relent period. We can not get any deeper than we are so I am happy to see the rebels making gains.

I do agree that Mommar Gadaffi is insane. He will not negotiate peace nor reform. Yes, it is a slippery slope as we have no idea who or what will follow Gaddafi if he is killed. Still, I wish a big piece of concrete falls and crushes him.
Damn good posting Jim as far as the detail's of the oil production and supply, and Good Morning Guy! I have done a fair chunk of posting's myself on this "oil game" (cause frankly that's all this is, is a political game for vote's basically, the oil industry is already spoken for, bought and paid for, and not nam politician is going to do much of anything that their not ordered to do, heh, heh, heh, heh, heh :) and all the political rubbish behind it. It isnt just the gas price's the GOP is solely blaming this administration on, they are blaming every damn negative issue on this administration, they know how short sighted American's are and quick to react to buzz phrases, cliche's, quick sales pitches and a schlew of other related. And this ole boy Lankford out of OK, I seen this on CNN I believe that was a GOP response to the President's weekly address, and had to be one of the worst sales pitches I have ever seen ... this Guy has what he's all about written all over him, and in his voice, he's easier to read than a nursery rhyme's book, heh, heh, heh, heh, heh ... and so full of shit I would have to grab my cowboy boot's just to indulge any more than that :) I mean seriously, this Guy was so bad in this response, that even as a republican after downing a 6 pack of brew, on a good day, in a great mood, couldnt even buy this ... I advise him to not make many public appearance's, or get an image overhaul, because he look's and sound's as phoney as they come, and too wimpy at that, heh, heh, heh, heh, heh :)

This isnt a "war" ... it's called "Odessey Dawn" and humanitarian only, America is not running it, and are only acting as the Salvation Army, Red Cross, or Ronald McDonald's Charity House, and the million's in bomb's are being paid for by foreign/ overseas lottery ticket proceed's and the petro industry ... brother Momar (Mudflap) is the last of the Great Pharoah's! Hi Vicki! You know, we have not seen or heard from Gaddafi since the bombing that killed his son and grandchildren so we don't even know if he is alive nor do we care. Any way you look at it the slaughter by his family and loyalists will continue and we can't kill them all or take this on. Good luck to them i say!

Thanks RC! I saw an analysis on how far south Republicans of gone since the last election. People see the danger and are waking up. That is hwy R's changed their tune on SS but the elderly and independents have their number that is why Obama's favorables are at 60%, Catching Osama didn't hurt either. Watch Obama get reelected!
