Taliban code of conduct just initiated already horrifically broken, the Citizens better act!

Taliban code of conduct

25 years of recent war including with Russian Afghanistan and IED's were never used. IED attacks are now used routinely under the tutelage of Al Qaeda who has now joined the fray with their so called brother terrorists to repel the infidel us! They are now being used more and more and their use and the increasing attacks will get much worse and deadlier.

This is happening at the same time we are increasing our force levels. July was the deadliest month on record for American and Nato troop deaths. August is on track to be even worse.Anyway this will continue to get a lot worse unless Karzai and Afghanistan stands up. I said it too many times but I believe to the average Afghani we are the enemy. I do not believe they have a clue as to how tenuous their situation is. The citizens themselves must get involved as they have in Pakistan because they know the threat to them and their autonomy. I do not believe they do in Afghanistan.

Despite Mullah Omar's concern for rising innocent civilian deaths by the Taliban and his issue of a Taliban code of conduct Excerpts from the Taliban rule book

In order to minimize civilian deaths so they would not turn on the Taliban as they have in Pakistan they are increasingly hitting a nerve in their killing of innocent civilians. Afghan bomb kills 21 wedding guests. Taliban breaking promise?

Anyway Mullah Omar is increasingly feeling the pressure largely thanks to Pakistan as they are closing in on him. Mullah Omar still has a $10 Billion Bounty on his head but the US is ready to talk with the So called terrorist leader along with the other 3 leaders. Only demand: Lay down your arms and get involved with the Political process in Afghanistan. They may do that but they absolutely refuse to gave a Democracy.

Why are Taliban issuing code of conduct?

U.S. dismisses new Taliban 'code of conduct'

Mullah Omar's concern about alienating the Civilians by killing them will not be prevented as killing American's is the only concern and all "collateral dameg" is acceptable as I am sorry to say seems to be the case with us. Nothing will change with the Taliban until they get us out. Omar's code of conduct is merely a A terror manifesto in disguise

Pakistan's civilians have taken the matter of eliminating Al Qaeda and the Taliban into their own hands and I am very proud of them. Afghan civilian's must do the same thing if they really want peace as I do not see the US or the so called terrorists quitting. What is it going to take to get the civilians to realize their survival is in their hands? What will be the straw that breaks the camels back?

Do you realize we have been at this in Afghanistan for going on 8 years now? That is twice as long as US involvement in WW2. Like it or not this is still just beginning unless Karzai grows a spine and takes this seriously, the citizens get involved for their own good, their rights, their freedom if they really want it and peace. Either that or we should just leave and leave them to their own demise. They have not shown me any desire to help themselves. We can then monitor and decide what to do from here. Hell that seems to be our policy around the world why not here?

Kind of ironic that a terrorist would have a code of conduct, but then again terrorism is just a tactic, part of a strategy to wear us out, empires have a history of getting sick of the casualties, even though they could turn Afghanistan into rubble.

Fear rules the local population, who is the enemy? The coalition forces, the Taliban or their own inept, corrupt government.

The Taliban are in Afghanistan because it was easy, what they really want is Pakistan and the Islamic bomb. We are on a very slippery slope.

I'm not worried about the Taliban getting the nukes. We would definitely pre-empt that.

Who are the real terrorists when multiple hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis, Afghans, and Pakistanis are killed all because some Saudis crashed some planes into America?

Just who are terrorizing who?

Who exactly are the Taliban? We see pictures of masterminds and assistant masterminds sitting on a pile of rocks somewhere unknown. We here of somebody's brother or wife has been killed by a drone. They earn a lot of money from the opium trade, but the real cash comes from their Wahhabi masters on the Arabian peninsula.

Generations have grown up in Pakistan and Afghanistan knowing nothing but fighting folks like Russia and the U.S.

It makes me cry and I am sick of the carnage.

I guess it was us that got Mehsud bu the Pakistani's are doing a great job. It is only a matter of time there I think. Us in Afghanistan is my big concern. Karzai and the citizens have to step up like Pakistan did.

Like you I think of us as the worst terrorists. It stinks doesn't it? I wrote about it before but we have everything in place over there to take them over if we think they are in danger. That concerns me because I hate to say it but I do not trust our decision makers!

You are right Holte! Like Bin Laden they are generally Saudi and everyone else with nothing to do and a desire to protect their soil and kill the infidel. If the shoe was on the other foot we would do the same thing!

Dusty it's terrible and sadly I am afraid it is barely beginning. One of my sons just admitted to me that he has PTSD but he is trying to get back at it. I feel for the citizens but some of our troops now seem to see combat as a way to not have to deal with PTSD and family life.

You need to remember that the average Afghani and Pakistani is stuck between a rock and a hard place. It would be nice if they could pick up arms and defend themselves but in doing so they get stuck between us the Pakistani army and the Taliban. Who'd want to put themselves in that situation?
As for your son, if he's not planning on making the military as a career tell him to get help asap. Been there done that. There's plenty of help for PTSD right now.

Hi Demeur
You know, those poor citizens are stuck between a rock and a hard place big time already. They have to do something to help themselves. The Pakistani's are and if they want some kind of control back in their lives they will too.
As for my son, well three of my sons are lifers. Jim is half way through. He is extreme hard core and in his "first" stateside assignment in 10 years "can you believe it" he is an instructor at the EOD school in Florida.

They quickly gave him control of the students. All branches all countries. He is my oldest and got me early. He is a hardcore disciplinarian and he will never say uncle. His wife though?
