No more Omar, no more Osama, Vote for Obama: Former ISI Chief Hamid Gul

Taliban denies report that Mullah Omar is dead: Afghanistan’s main intelligence agency said it is investigating reports that Taliban leader Mohammad Omar and some of his top commanders have left their hideout near the Afghan-Pakistan border and cannot not be located. The reports led some Afghan media outlets to say that Omar may have been killed.

Mullah Omar mystery: Afghan official says ISI took him Knowing he has been under their protection for years I believe that. two days ago a group of armed officers in plain clothes led by Gen Hamid Gul former ISI chief, took Mullah Omar in their custody. Supposedly he was moved from Quetta to North Waziristan but some feel he has been detained or killed. Well we can hope can't we?

An anonymous source inside Afghanistan's intelligence Agency under promise of anonymity has confirmed that mullah Omar was killed 2 days ago. Whether that is true or how he died is still in question. A Taliban spokesman said that Omar was not killed in Pakistan and was in Afghanistan fighting infidels with his commanders. They called rumors of his death typical western propaganda. I believe it, that is what they said about Osama Bin Laden's death.

*In closing, under Bush's misdirection we caught and killed no on because he was ignoring Afghanistan and everything else to attack Iraq to get into the middle east in order to help Israel with the disorder they thought would be a new middle east order. Under Obama we have had one high visibility kill and or capture after the other including as you know Osama Bin Laden.

I remember when McCain said it was naive of Obama to say he would violate Pakistan'ssanctity to get Bin Laden. Who is naive now? We have had one big accomplishment after the other under Obama but this is the head of the hydra and many more will keep taking their place. We need President Obama at the helm to continue the success we have had against the so called terrorists. Republicans painted him weak on defense, well, well, well, and oh yeah 9/11 happened on their watch too.

The only way this is going to change is if it is changed on an educational level and we know that won't happen because it is too time consuming and would cost far more than any military operation. Forget who's said it but didn't somebody mention that the end to this war will not come from a military solution.

I am opposed to war and killing as the primary means of conflict resolution. But I am a realist and understand that these terrorists are not people governments can negotiate with. I did support candidate Obama's pledge to leave Iraq to pursue Islamic terrorists in Afghanistan and Pakistan border region. I think the US under his leadership has been effective in militarily confronting the problem although it has been at a great cost. I do think we need to begin our withdrawal from Afghanistan at this time and to continue our State Department strategy as the primary means of conflict resolution. That is why we need to resolve the Isreal-Palistinean border and security issue. It will be the biggest blow to terrorism (and the growing influence of Iran). We need to continue to pressure Isreal to negotiate borders and stop building more settlements in Palestine and we need to pressure the Palestinian government to assure security for Isreal. This will be the toughest challenge of all to Barack Obama's leadership, for sure, and his biggest opposition will not be from terrorists, but rather from his fellow Americans who are Neocons, militarists, and ignorant politicians who inflame anger and hatred for this President.

Demeur I believe it was Gates that said that and of course we know it but I believe we are staying there to help protect Pakistani nukes when it comes time too. Chilling the the Taliban just said they will not attack them because they want them to use on the world. Wake up call world!

Vicki I agree Obama has been pretty effective fighting extremists despite constant haranguing by Republicans. We are supposed to start withdrawal from Afghanistan next month but you just made me realize we haven't heard anything.

Anyone who resists the bombing and invasion of their homeland is a terrorist.

Now that we are bombing and invading Pakistan, it is becoming a land full of terrorists. As this forever war continues, we'll eventually be fighting 1.2 billion terrorists in India.

The 9/11 hijackers came from and were funded from Saudi Arabia. Well some came from Egypt...

But those countries are off limits. So we had to invade countries that the hijackers didn't come from, because we had to get revenge, and war profiteers need to make a lot of money.

Because the war profiteers want to make even more money, we won't be leaving Afghanistan. We'll be going deeper into Pakistan, Libya and Yemen instead.

Karzai is threatening repercussions if we keep killing civilians in Afghanistan. that's a good excuse to heat up the war there.

There's a story gaining traction that the raid on Osama's compound went differently than advertized. In it, a helicopter dropped off men speaking Pashtu. then left.

The men banged on doors ordering people to stay in their homes or get shot. The men raided the compound and came out with prisoners, the helicopter returned, and picked them up. As it was lifting up, two other the helicopters drew near. The first helicopter then exploded, and the second and third helicopters left the scene without landing.

The neighbors all went into the compound to see, and saw body parts everywhere. A short time later the Pakistan police arrived and secured the compound and put up screens around the helicopter. That's where the picture of the helicopter said to have suffered mechanical failure came from.

Later that evening American forces arrived.

Days later they got the exploded helicopter out of the compound.

And that's the other Osama Bin Laden Capture Story.

Newest story hot off the press is that private military (think Blackwater or whatever they are called now) is in Libya fighting for us. Just wonder who's paying them?

Wease you are 100% right. I wish to god we would just come home but it is obvious war is our mantra, economy, and future, and it is not good. Hope the garden is in and everything is well there!

Wease some of that is believable but we will never know the truth once again. Differences will keep coming out to support one purpose or the other as usual. You can bet that UBL was down from the shot in the stomach and the head shot was to take him out, all the rest will always be speculation and hearsay sadly.

Yeah Demeur Blackwater "XE" has been in there spying and helping the rebels almost from day one. They are also in Bahrain where they have created a foreign security force for the leadership. You can bet they are all over, that is a given and a goals of there's since they first showed up in Iraq.

It would've been nice if an independent panel was able to confirm the body suspected of being OBL's.

All we have is the say so, of politicians that are constantly telling lies for personal and political gain.

I have a problem with trusting people that lie to me a lot. Obama supporters tell me that I could use counseling for this, as we should forgive people who lie to us, and trust them. I think I'll pass.

If I follow their advice, I have a relative that will come straight over and steal more of my wife's jewelry.

The same corporate communist's that are f'ing us, are the one's who also inspire these terror cell's for the most ... as I have said so many time's ... those region's are not our business, in a weird way ... our enemies of the global population and real terrorist's are the one's that no one mention's. We all know what it would take to stop all this in a heartbeat ... nothing else to say.

Thanx Jim ....
