NATO Allies Look to Tripoli to Topple Qaddafi in Libyan Endgame, may arm Rebels: Forget on both counts

Colonel Moamer Kadhafi urged world powers meeting Tuesday in London to end their "barbaric" offensive against his oil-rich country as his forces beat back a rebel push on his home town Sirte. He wants to be able to continue the slaughter of his people that he calls rats and will eradicate!

Can Libya's people be protected if Qaddafi stays? No way and Libya will at least be divided into two.

NATO Allies Look to Tripoli to Topple Qaddafi in Libyan Endgame Never happen!

Rice says US has not ruled out arming Libyan rebels

Rebel Advance Stalls as Qaddafi Forces Counterattack Gaddafi forces have gotten smart. After losing many tanks due to the no fly zone they have started to blow out buildings and hiding the tanks in them and under trees so they can not be seen from the air. They are still slaughtering Libyan citizens and there is no way to stop them unless France and Britain is so passionate about helping them that they are willing to put boots on the ground because we can not.

Libya rebels flee as Gaddafi retakes Brega

We are looking at arming these rebels who turn around and run at the drop of a hat it seems. What is the guarantee that they are going to stand their ground and fight for their lives? Also that would mean clothing feeding and paying them. Are we willing to spend another trillion dollars? I say we because I am sure we would get stuck with that too as well as the training which would make Obama a liar as he said there would be no boots on the ground.

We can't do this again. So far I am on Obama's side, I think he has done the right thing. He did not wait during a year of slaughter as Clinton did in the Balkans, He did not go full bore and unilaterally as Bush did. It is already obvious that the no fly zone is a failure without the US running it. We can not get dragged in further. We must get out now and the rebels must fight the good fight or die. We can not do this for them!

I want the Obama administration to do some industrial-strength arm-twisting on the Arab League nations, especially the UAE and Saudi Arabia. They have the wherewithal in money, manpower and sophisticated weaponry (thanks largely to U.S.oil money and arms makers) to go in, find and arrest or eliminate Gadhafi, and be done with it. What they lack is the cojones.

Me to S. W.! U.A.E. and Qatar are helping on the no fly but it is failing since we walked away. I want to see the Arab League and the African Union along with France step up and be the boots on the ground as they are needed.

I don't know how much the UAE is chipping in, but I read Qatar sent two — count 'em — two fighter jets. Kind of underwhelming.

You're right but the best thing I saw about Qatar is they mad an oil for guns supplies and training deal with the rebels. They are going to have to fight to the death tooth and nail but they can do it. They are going to have to kill all the Kaddafi's!
