I assume there is at least one melt down happening. If that's the case why can't they just say so. Do you think the same Jim?.

Sure is a terrifying mess over there. I hope they can keep the reactors under control. Those poor people.

So much for the future of clean nuclear energy. Mg I hope they can keep them under control too for our sake as well. If all three reactors go anyone living on the West coast is in for trouble.

Hi Tom, you bet! They just said there is a third in danger so we will see. There were 6 at risk to start with so 3 of them are really in trouble. I am so sick of hearing how safe the plants are. Don't fool with mother nature!

I know! They have taken quite a hit. Worst disaster since WW2 now the nuke plants. This has to be the worst of a growing number of natural and man made disasters.

Demeur I am sick of the repugs saying how safe drilling and nuclear power as and we just see disaster after disaster. The bastards are blaming Obama for the gas prices because he is cautious about drilling.

Clearly, there is no way to safely use nuke power in a place that gets quaked as often as Japan does.

We've got a big one coming ourselves, sooner or later. New Madrid was a long time ago, but it was probably worse than even this was. Now imagine New Madrid with a bunch of nuke plants.

I know! Cali is the only one in the ring of fire not hit hard yet. I refuse to believe Japan of all people have been half stepping with security at nuclear plants. I was reading that they have been warned since the early 70's that their back ups were inadequate. This is not good! one in melt down, 4 others exploded now and another one in warning. WTF?
