Gadhafi warns of 'long-drawn war' after airstrikes: Maybe but only for Libyan citizens

I just heard the first US fighter aircraft just went down. The pilot bailed out and was rescued by rebel forces. I hope and we will keep watching. Plus as some of us suspected I just heard a retired General say you can bet we have had special forces there from day one and there will eventually be ground forces but not ours. Damn!

Live feed: Libya crisis

Did you see the decimation of the Gaddafi convoy on the way to slaughter civilians and blame it on us? We have to neutralize Gaddafi's murderous forces and get out, job done. It has to be up to the rebels if they really want a new Libya just like Iraq and Afghanistan the other 2 Muslim countries we interfered in and created a generations long civil war.

Gaddafi forces are going door to door in Misrata dragging people out of their homes, pulling them off the street and slaughtering them. The people have to take this on because we can not be dragged in any deeper than we are as Gaddafi wants.

US, Allies Pound Libya, Gadhafi Vows Retaliation

Gadhafi warns of 'long-drawn war' after airstrikes No way, not for us but it will be for Libyans trying to get out from underneath his rule and desire to slaughter them. Gaddafi can't be allowed to succeed because it would send a terrible message to all the countries in Africa and the middle east to crush Rebellions rather than give the people what they want.

Western warplanes, missiles hit Libya, cause casualties No way! Gaddafi is trying to use our media against us. I saw an interview from eyewitnesses thanking us for our attacks on Gaddafi's military convoys which were heading back into Benghazi to kill more civilians.

I saw the set up at a morgue showing people he killed saying we did it and killed 50 women, children, and religious leaders. This will work with his people he has armed to the teeth to fight the rebels but the rebels now have to come out at night and take on Gaddafi forces trying to murder them. It is up to them! UK hails Libya action 'success'UK officials say they are "entirely comfortable" with the outcome of airstrikes on Libya, which saw British jets and a submarine attack a range of targets.

Libya TV reports attack on Tripoli, fuel tanks You can bet Gaddafi is blowing up those oil fields. Makes no sense for us to be targeting oil fields if we are after the oil as he says.

Fury Turns To Fear Inside Gaddafi's Compound: We were inside Colonel Gaddafi's compound in the heart of Tripoli when the hostilities began.

Gaddafi Threatens Attacks In Mediterranean, Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi has threatened attacks on allied targets in the Mediterranean in a phone call to state television.

At Qaddafi’s compound, hundreds of supporters offered themselves up as human shields, cheering to newly minted dance songs about their adoration for their leader. This would only guarantee that their will be an attempt to take him out at his compound and his human shield will fulfill their desire to be martyr's. Can anyone say Bunker buster Bomb?

I wish I could be certain as to who the USA is going after in Libya.

I can see the USA playing against both sides, in order to shatter the country for it's oil.

Our New War President already has his Nobel Peace Prize. Unlike other Presidents, he was granted his legacy before he took office. There is no need for him to do anything to justify his term as he's now designated one of the Great Men of Peace, and so is free to wage war as pleases.

It's impossible for us to know what is really going on. All I can be sure of, is that our government lies to us constantly. We have guess at what the truth actually is through a veil of incomplete evidence and intentional misdirection.

It never occurred to me, to view the US involvement as 'being dragged in'. It seems more like an opportunity to stick our noses in.

Other countries have devolved into a civil war and engaged in horrible crimes against humanity without the US being dragged in.

But those countries didn't produce oil.

Uncle Sam is a sociopath that loves wading into wars for oil.

You know wease I was thinking about it and in relation was revisiting our extensive war history. We have been at war almost our entire 235 years.

I know Jim.

There was a time when I believed we were a peace loving nation. I'm all better now.

That's one of those things I believed, because everyone else believes it.

I agree Wease, I no longer trust all our wars. You may have seen it before but I think at the end of the week I am publishing our 235 years of warfare.

Qaddafi isn't nearly as bad as Assad, at least historically, but we don't seem to have the least bit of interest in helping the Syrians. Wonder why that is?

Yes, of course-we know why. that's why roughly 2 out of 3 of us are either completely opposed, or real skeptical, about this. The numbers in Britain are about the same.
