36 have been accused of spousal abuse. 7 have been arrested for fraud. 19 have been accused of writing bad checks.
117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses. 3 have done time for assault. 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit. 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges.
8 have been arrested for shoplifting. 21 currently are defendants in lawsuits, and 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year.
Can you guess which organization this is? Give up yet? Neither,it's the 435 members of the United States Congress. Hell Bush, Cheney, Rummie, Rice, Condi, Gonzo, Wolfie, Feith, Addington, Bolton, Mukasey,Yoo, Perle, etc/etc You do not have to wonder why we are in trouble! Those that think they are too good to get into Politics are doomed to be led by those who are not!
Now the latest on the most recent of the "Innocent" Right! The indictment of Alaska Republican Sen. Ted Stevens on charges that he lied about accepting gifts from an oil contractor only adds to his party's already bleak electoral prospects in November, and not simply because it could cost the GOP a Senate seat that should be safe. While Stevens has vowed to fight charges and, through a spokesman, to move "full steam ahead" with his re-election bid, he's received little support from Alaska's Republican governor and no comment yet from his own GOP leader in the Capitol.
His indictment, though, could knock Republicans off message just as party leaders hoped to gain traction on one of the few issues in which voters solidly side with them: producing more domestic oil. Stevens is the single most prominent advocate of oil drilling in protected areas, and charges that he took more than a quarter-million dollars worth of unreported gifts from oil services contractor Veco Corp. and its executives will play right into Democratic efforts to paint Republicans as a party captive to Big Oil.Stevens, 84, the first sitting U.S. senator to face federal indictment since 1993, declared Tuesday, "I am innocent of these charges and intend to prove that." * Hell he is a Republican he didn't do anything either. Even if caught red handed and found Guilty he is innocent. Two things bother me about this! 1. He went right over to his friend Democratic Senator Henry Hyde looking for support and you know the lying scum will get it. 2. Even if found guilty the lying piece of crap still gets his $120,000 per year pension. There is no way in hell we would and no way in hell he should nor should all the rest of those guilty Bastards! I have thought about running for Congress before - not that I could win in this Republican stronghold, but you only have to serve one term - that's two years - to retire with a great retirement fund and free medical care for life.
As for Stevens, his upcoming election was already in peril in Alaska and this may be all we need to actually get a Democratic Senator from Alaska.

Funny, I was just on the phone with one of my sons and you know how I think. I was telling him wait until the fall something underhanded is going to happen to keep Repugs in power and he laughed saying that is what my sister's husband keeps saying about me.

I didn't realize that the conspiracy nut detection training set the threshold to such a sensitive level. My dad is a dyed in the wool believer in the invisible hand of the market. I was surprised that he doesn't believe that people work to gain more stuff.

I wanted to answer this a long time ago but had a very long conversation with TC and I left some of his thoughts on a comment to those that converse with him.
Hell Bud you know I won't say anything about your Dad but if he thinks you the searcher and speaker of the truth is a conspiracy theorist while he allows us all to fall victim to the real conspiracy the destruction of our American and world order then he is like most of my family part of the problem and they will take us down with them. I am convinced the proof will be in the pudding this fall!
