Aerial video of the wave that hit Japan: Japan finally put Fukishima on the same level as Chernobyl but it will get much worse
This is the first picture I have seen from the air. I cannot imagine the force of this water and the devastation. When you see this, it's time to count your blessings. Aerial video of the wave that hit Japan.
Japan put its nuclear calamity on a par with the world's worst nuclear disaster, Chernobyl, on Tuesday after new data showed that more radiation leaked from its earthquake-crippled power plant in the early days of the crisis than first thought. No, we knew and there is worse to come!
Analysis: As bad as Chernobyl?
Life inside the evacuation zone
Q&A: Health effects of radiation
Looking at the Aerial video of the awesome destructive power of that Japanese Tsunami it is easy to understand the havoc raised at Fukishima, I just wish Tepco and or Japan would be honest about the damage done, the fact that some areas will never be able to be inhabited again, and the dangers to come.
Japan Expands Nuclear Evacuation Zone I thought the situation was improving?
Fukushima: What must be done? Cement all 4 reactors and get on with it! Even Chernobyl was encased by now, what is Tepco and Japan waiting for?
The growing concerns of nearby South Korea and China about radioactive fallout from Japan were underscored when China's health ministry reported trace amounts of radioactive iodine in spinach in three Chinese provinces. Japan's fishermen and farmer's are more than angry that their livelihoods are being destroyed and receiving a mere apology.
Radioactivity from the Fukishima plants has now been detected throughout the US, Canada, Russia, Scotland, the UK, South Korea, around the world, this is an environmental catastrophe our frail planet did not need.!
This really concerns me because the crisis in Japan just keeps getting worse despite the lies. It had to cross the country to get here on the east coast of the United States. This is not the legacy Japan wanted to leave for its children nor the one I want for mine. I have been saying from the beginning that this was going to dwarf Chernobyl and it will. It was obvious they were lying from the beginning and they still are.
They found that #2 and #3 were leaking plutonium and uranium directly in the sea but don't worry it will be diluted. What? That reactor three is the only one of the 6 that uses the deadliest of the deadly, a mixture of plutonium and uranium. Now we are hearing there is another in as bad a shape and they are worried about another hydrogen explosion from #1.. Seal them in cement now before things get any worse. Chernobyl was a 7 now they are talking 7, eventually it will be a 10 or for which they of yet do not have a classification.
I was blown away that Chernobyl is now a vacation destination knowing how much they are still hiding and that 25 years later the Germans pay hunters half a million apiece for wild boars to keep them off the table as they are still radioactive. This is 4 reactors and will dwarf Chernobyl!
Radioactive fallout from the Chernobyl nuclear disaster is still poisoning Germany's boars nearly 25 years on, with authorities fighting to keep toxic meat off the market as the wild boar population rockets. Besides all the other problems there is still a 35 square mile area around Chernobyl that is dead and off limits.

This is quite a posting AP ... and that video of the waters coming ashore was incredible ... I dont like thinking about this stuff much for personal reason's, but ... IT IS REALITY, whether I like it or not. I want to know if you would have any objection's to me linking this post of your's to my blog/ journal to highlight your posting(s) on this? I want to ask your permission first, of course it would be to focus on your keeping updated and posting's on this.
Thanx Guy ....
Thanx RC link away! Wasn't that video something? Sure had me floored!
I wish they would hurry up and cement those reactors, the Russian's had Chernobyl done by this time. They keep saying this is only 10% of Chernobyl but that is BS.Chernobyl will be wreaking havoc for centuries and so won't Fukishima.
It is where this is and what it will do to the ocean long term despite the dilution that should gravely concern everyone.
I agree it seems the Japanese should be farther along toward encasing the plants by now. They should also be farther along in spelling out how bad it is and what troubles they're having.
In part, I fault our downsized news media, so heavy with on-air "personalities" and so obviously shy of on-scene reporters, especially overseas.
Japan and Tepco's leaders acknowledge it's "very bad." Some more specifics are in order.
Hi S W, I agree on both counts! Investigating and reporting the "clean" news is no longer the emphasis. I refuse to believe they are still screwing with this and getting away lying about it. The new truth "lying" is all pervasive all around the world and it sucks.
