What happened to McCain saying no " personal attacks" and will keep his lying campaign against Obama clean? yesterday's ad was too much!

Yesterday our friend Robert Rouse posted a Hitler Quote that said it all about what is being done to us by Bush and what McCain is doing to Obama! “All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach."

I realize that Rove is working hand in hand behind the scenes with McCain instructing him how to undermine Obama's credibility with manufactured lies. Yesterdays ad comparing Obama to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton and mocking him was way over the line. Goebbels all over! We are getting the divide and conquer crap all over again and I fear it will work once again as many just do not get it.

Check this out: McCain as you know is doing his damnedest per advice of Bush and Rove to scare the people about Obama. It is getting bad even by the Right's low life standards and I am afraid many are falling for it despite hearing the truth from Obama because they are told by supposedly honorable people not to believe the truth! Barack Obama has been compared to prominent political figures such as President John F. Kennedy, but opponent John McCain’s campaign on Tuesday tried to portray him as an arrogant Hollywood diva, who doesn’t have the credibility to be commander in chief. “Barack Obama is the biggest celebrity in the world, comparable to Tom Cruise, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton,” Rick Davis, Sen. John McCain’s campaign manager, wrote in an e-mail addressed to interested parties after throwing out a similar line on a conference call with reporters.

“Only celebrities like Barack Obama go to the gym three times a day, demand “MET-RX chocolate roasted-peanut protein bars and bottles of a hard-to-find organic brew — Black Forest Berry Honest Tea” and worry about the price of arugula,” Davis said. Davis was riffing off news coverage that the Illinois senator told congressional Democrats Monday that he has become the “symbol” for the world’s aspirations for America, and that the country is now at “the moment … that the world is waiting for.” Obama’s supporters said the comments were not about him, per se, but about the world’s view that the U.S. could be returning to the global community after years of ostracism following the war in Iraq. “Only a celebrity of Barack Obama’s magnitude could attract 200,000 fans in Berlin who gathered for the mere opportunity to be in his presence. These are not supporters or even voters, but fans fawning over The One,” Davis wrote. “Like most worldwide celebrities, this status has fueled a certain arrogance.”

The attempts to paint Obama as a diva followed comments by conservative blogger Michelle Malkin, who on Monday compared the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee and his wife’s fame to that of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. “You couldn’t pass a grocery store line this weekend without seeing the picture-perfect smiles of the Obama family,” she wrote in a piece distributed by Republicans on Wednesday. “There were Barack Obama’s young daughters (whose privacy their parents so sanctimoniously claim to want to protect) flashing their pearly whites on the cover of People magazine. Malia and Sasha competed for attention right next to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s toddler daughter, Shiloh, whose cherubic face was splashed on the cover of another celebrity tabloid.” For his own part, Obama on Wednesday compared himself to western legend Wild Bill Hickock while talking in Springfield, Mo., about taking on John McCain on taxes. McCain compares Obama to Hollywood Diva's

Obama thinks he can just dismiss this crap as bunk! White House hopeful Barack Obama has hit back over a TV ad which questions his readiness to lead the US. Republican John McCain's campaign released the ad, which juxtaposes images of Mr Obama with those of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. Titled "Celeb", the ad calls Mr Obama the "biggest celebrity in the world", but questions his economic policies. The Democrat responded by accusing his rival of negative campaigning, and of only revealing what he was against. "You need to ask John McCain what he's for, not just what he's against," Mr Obama said while on the campaign trail in Missouri.

The ad shows images of the Illinois senator speaking to a 200,000-strong crowd in Berlin last week, interspersed with shots of celebrities Spears and Hilton. The ad, set to be broadcast in nearly a dozen key states, was followed by a rival ad from Mr Obama's own campaign team. It accuses Mr McCain of practicing the "policies of the past", and uses images of him with President George W Bush. Mr Obama's chief strategist, David Axelrod, told MSNBC the McCain ad was "baloney". "I am going to paraphrase, oops he did it again," he said, playing off the title of a Britney Spears song and album. "This is not the John McCain we expected." The Republicans have been keen to stress their belief that Mr Obama is not tested, not ready to lead and too out of touch with the public. please watch the asinine ad and Obama's response

* I am sick of this crap! McCain says he want negative because Obama did it first! What an ignorant lying child! Obama merely telling the truth so people know the difference. He is not creating an illusion a lie many will believe. Obama has become a celebrity. The entire world recognizes America needs Obama if we and the world are to have a future. Obama must start being more aggressive in countering these lies or we are in serious trouble.

I have to run up to New Hampshire to go food shopping. I'll be Baack!

Damn....did they run outta food in Massachusetts?

McCain is so senile and eaten up with dementia, that even his surogates say he doesn't speak for the McCain Campaign.

What a bunch of dumb-asses. I've got a gross of bottle-rockets I'd be willing to donate as a campaign contribution. ;)

Brother
You riot! I went to my post wondering where I said that then I remembered.
We go food shopping in Rindge because New Hampshire is tax free and food for another thing is a hell of a lot cheaper though we seem to have spent a lot more for the same amount.
Everybody seems to be getting pissed at McCain but he only has to please Rove and sucker voters and he is in. I believe they are going to suck in this one too with their scummy underhanded crap.
I have to laugh! The first thing I thought about with the bottle rockets was that Dub ass E you sent today as I am sure you were alluding to. That guy must have been a Republican!

The corporate media are singing the Reich's tune on cue, from both ends yet.

First they tell us Obama is a universally recognized celebrity. (As in: out of touch elitist and not like the rest of us.)

Then they immediatley go into their " American people still don't know who Obama is, and think he is the risky choice," parroting the Rovian propaganda.

Pure Orwellian "doublethink".

All while they still dutifully refer to McCain as the "strait-talking maverick war hero".

AAAAAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!

Dave--
Over the years, I've heard and read stories of McCain's captivity in Hanoi. Of how he, amongst other things, traded info on the flight paths of U.S. sorties, etc, for the 5-star medical treatment he recieved.

That doesn't make him a hero in my eyes, it makes him a traitor. As for the 'straight-talk' schtick, the last couple of months have proved that to be a steaming pile of BS.

Dave Dubya said...

Even giving McCain a pass, or allowing for, his POW circumstances and behavior, what the hell makes him a "hero"?

Militarism. It is the official US culture. It infects the media and even the words of Obama.

well..well Brother Tim kind said it all....but seriously....Should McGramps really compare Obama to a RICH BLOND COTTON CANDY BRAINED HEIRESS...boy that seems so stupid....I mean doesn;t he kind of live off the wealth of an RICH BLOND COTTON CANDY BRAINED HEIRESS ????

jus sayin'???

we knew it would turn into gutter balll- it just a matter of time....

Hang in there...

Comparing Obama to the likes of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton is a ruse. What they were doing is very similar to what they did to Harold Ford, Jr. in Tennessee. A black man with two WHITE blonds. Let's face it folks, I don't think anyone in their right mind would really believe that those two are in the top three celebrities in the world. Just off the top of my head, I could come up with at least a dozen celebs who are a lot more well known than those two.

In addition, those two are known for their troubles with the law. Besides, it's apples and oranges. Wonder why they didn't mention Ronald Reagan or Ah-nold. Two California governors who came from the world of glitz and glamor.

This is all BS and they know it.

In addition, did you hear that the McCain campaign actually had an ad prepared to attack Obama if he DID visit the wounded troops in Germany? They were going to say he was only visiting them as part of his campaign. They were simply ready to sling mud in his direction no matter what he did. Have I mentioned how much I despise how the Reich Wing is running McLame's campaign?

McCrazy is withewred old phony who has always played dirty but his supposed love fest with the press overlooks that even today.

I thought the press was supposed to be so liberal! Where in the hell are they now? They need to start uncovering mcCains military history instead of always calling him this great American hero, his treatment of his first wife and his phoney stance on cleaning up Washington when he is one of the biggest pollutors!

It blows me away! Here we go again! They create a lie you can believe then harp on it incessantly till you believe the lie is the truth. Create an issue where there is non to divide and conquer. It really peeves me because we know it is alive and many believe it and we are powerless once again to do anything. AAARRRGGGHHH!

Brother
McCain is no hero he is another created Republican false God and the next chosen President. All that is left is how to steal this bastard in too. Robert Rouse, Polishifter, and I think you, have done extremely good posts on the scum McCain but I am afraid once again anyone who speaks the truth about him will be labeled anti American and unpatriotic!

an average patriot said...

Dave
The media and the right make him a hero! I am sure you have read the many truths about him he has managed to evade like the scum before him. He is far from a hero but the lies will prevail as they are the new truth today sadly!

an average patriot said...

Hey enigma
Love seeing you her! You just stay positive and take care of yourself! Rove's goal thus McCain's is once again to create a lie people will fall for. Create an issue where there is none and divide and conquer. This is you so I will shut up and stop there. Take care!

You are always a wealth of information! I know it is true about the damned if you do damned if you don't "pincer Ads" McCain was prepared to use in regards to Lanstuhl. It is in a nice place by the way I have been there. Anyway why has no one let that knowledge out? These scummy things are what we must harp on or we are screwed!

Larry
McCain is so obviously visually vicious and evil I refuse to believe people do not see it and are friggen falling for it once again! We are so....

Glad to see you! Hope you are well! The MSM is not liberal they in actuality are once again in the hands of the perverted right. If the truth leaks out which it sometimes does, the right has to make that false accusation to keep their hidden agenda moving forward. This is the fourth Reich!

The Liberal Press is a myth. Had there been a real "Liberal Press", the Downing Street Memo would have been front page news in May 2005. Had there been a real "Liberal Press", Bush would not have gotten away with his lies. Had there been a real "Liberal Press", Al Gore would have won in 2000 and Kerry would have won in 2004 (actually, Gore would have won his second term in 2004 - unfortunately, we would be looking at a Lieberman candidacy today instead of an Obama candidacy).

Robert you are right there is no liberal press that accusation is merely used to keep bias in the rights direction and we friggen fall for it! There frigged up agenda will keep moving forward unless we can beat their crap!

Brother man I hope you are right! At this point it better be one hell of a silver lining.
