Forgive and forget is greatly over rated!

Ted Haggard: Evangelicals can do what they want! Remember he was Bush’s spiritual advisor! I was disgusted with Ted Haggard years ago but remembering that he was George W. Bush’s spiritual adviser and seeing his lying catching him again, it brought the whole George Bush Hypocrisy issue full circle. Pastor Ted Haggard was President Bush's "spiritual" adviser and leader of the 30 million member National Association of Evangelicals,.

He was a big force in turning out the Evangelical vote for his spiritual protégé; George W. Bush. His rising star crashed in November 2006, when a male prostitute went public about his alleged trysts with Haggard. He at first denied it but when “caught with his pants down” admitted to a temporary indiscretion and begged for forgiveness! Ted Haggard admitted to being sexually immoral, a deceiver and a liar and his followers saw his humanity and forgave him.

That always bothered me but even more so with someone of his stature at the time! Then I saw a preview of Anderson Cooper 360 and he is going to be interviewing Ted Haggard after his exile from the church and about his promoting an upcoming Documentary about his attempts to rebuild his life and his on going efforts to find a job. That blows me away, In regard to President Bush every single day the hypocrisy never ended and he never blinked an eye!

Knowing he is also going on Larry King live to discuss his life and his fling with the male prostitute in his own words I have to wonder what is going to be said about the latest development with his perverted sexual life and continuing lying? I wonder how they will feel about forgiving him now? While all this is going on, a new disclosure and not by him!
In recent days, a former church volunteer at New Life has gone public with his story. His name is Grant Haas, and he says Haggard performed a sex act in front of him and sent him illicit text messages. That in itself doe not mean much to me but he is still lying and the church is covering up for him or them? They want to keep their flock deceived? The money coming in? This whole damn Evangelical hierarchy more and more appears to be the major scam many of us always thought it was. But what is it worth!

* Say one thing and do another: I hear he is battling his own sexuality and I still do not care about that! What I care about is he told Grant Hess that if you espouse God‘s principles you can do what you want and have a little fun on the side! Another words say one thing and do another! Think about it! Remember he was President Bush’s “spiritual adviser” Think about George Bush’s entire Hippocratic philosophy! His entire Hippocratic Presidency! Do as I say not as I do!

His entire supposed God fearing Administration advocated and fought for a principle only applied to us and then many of them got caught in one unlawful illicit affair or another, extra marital affairs, pedophilia, bribery, treason, they run the gamut! The amount of underhanded deceitful Politicians saying one thing and doing another has blossomed since Bush’s horrible example!

I always said he could talk out of both sides of his mouth while his foot is in it and smile all the while. His example has fostered to our detriment a lot of company! He was a total hypocrite and set a terrible example! His brand of say one thing and do another politics was sickeningly obvious and debilitating to the entire world as we saw it daily!

Thinking of all this and knowing he went back to Crawford proud of his lies and destruction of our lives and morality Just remember who his spiritual adviser was! The purveyor of perverted Religiosity, Ted Haggard! Remember his Administrations never ending indiscretions. Forgive them all? No way not now not ever! Not this time. Let them pray about that. Forgive and forget is greatly over rated!

yeah- i am not a big forgiver. i hold grudges forever if necessary, and if i do forgive- i certainly don't forget. i don't so much give a rat's ass about blago or haggard. they were ousted for power plays whether it be dems or religious whack jobs. but bushco needs to be held accountable and i really hope i see rovie's mugshot. :)

Hi Betmo
I agree! It always amazes me when people say forgive and forget, move on!
I will always move on but forgive and forget? I am not one to forgive and have no idea how you firget something that affected your life but I always move on.

Speaking of moving on, it is time to listen to the UN and try Cheney and Bush for war crimes. They are making Obama take a stance by asking him to adhere to a law Reagan enacted holding leaders accountable for war crimes. This could be what it takes to get this going!

Yep, I saw an interview last night on CNN.

The man is simply delusional. He admits he isn't quite sure of what his sexual orientation is, yet he thinks he's a heterosexual with some perverted gay feeling. That's psycho babble if you ask me...

The Bible counsels us to forgive, but does not require us to forget. Forgiveness does not negate consequences. We all needs to be held to account. All debts need to be paid. They can be paid now or they can be paid later, but as with all debts, interest accrues. Hypocrisy was a major thorn in Jesus' side.

He AdB
Love seeing your Avatar! Yes he is a psycho! Worse and more important is that he was Bush's spiritual adviser advocating do what you want as long as you pray to God. That is sick! Advocating Bigotry!

Hey Brother
It is a pleasure to see your face! Hope you are getting things accomplished, back to "normal" and you wife is okay!
I do not know how to forgive and forget! I put it on the back burner and move forward but how do you forget something you have experienced?
You made me think of my favorite headstone in Salem's old Burial Ground "death is a debt to nature due, I paid mine and so must you!
