No global warming? 2010 will be the hottest year on record! Can anyone say water wars?

NASA: First half of 2010 breaks the thermometer — despite “recent recent minimum of solar irradiance”

It still seems likely that 2010 will be the hottest year on record, ... Also, on Thursday, Sudan recorded its hottest temperature in its history when the ... July 10, 2010 at 6:52 pm. Sunspots activity is at a record low – and has .... Six months later they set the all time rainfall record there. Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Chad, Niger, Pakistan, and Myanmar have all set new records for their hottest temperatures of all time over the past six weeks.

The Asian portion of Russia recorded its highest temperate in history yesterday, when the mercury hit 42.3°C (108.1°F) near the Amur River border with China. The previous record was 41.7°C (107.1°F) at nearby Aksha on July 21, 2004. (The record for European Russia is 43.8°C–110.8°F–set on August 6, 1940, at Alexandrov Gaj near the border with Kazakhstan.) Also, on Thursday, Sudan recorded its hottest temperature in its history when the mercury rose to 49.6°C (121.3°F) at Dongola. The previous record was 49.5°C (121.1°F) set in July 1987 in Aba Hamed.

We’ve now had eight countries in Asia and Africa, plus the Asian portion of Russia, that have beaten their all-time hottest temperature record during the past two months. This includes Asia’s hottest temperature of all-time, the astonishing 53.5°C (128.3°F) mark set on May 26 in Pakistan…. This week’s heat wave in Africa and the Middle East is partially a consequence of the fact that Earth has now seen three straight months with its warmest temperatures on record, according to NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center.

At the same time we’ve just had the 500-year deluges in Oklahoma City and China and Tennessee’s 1000-year deluge. Dan's Wild Wild Science Journal » Blog Archive » NOAA: First 6 Months of 2010- Hottest On Record.

The first six months of this year have been the hottest in recorded history, weather experts have said. Heat wave across Europe! The figures have been released after a heat wave in the UK and soaring temperatures have put large parts of Europe, from Italy to Russia, on alert. The scientists said that while rising mercury has been typical across the globe in recent months, the most prominent high temperatures have been seen in Peru, the central and eastern parts of the US and western Asia.

The report was published as the US Senate prepares to debate a climate and clean energy bill later this month. Climate change is not some abstract phenomenon that will affect us sometime in the distant future as many want you to think. "It is happening now and its impacts are being felt across the country in the form of record-shattering heat waves, flooding rains, persistent droughts and other extreme weather events.

"The changes we are already experiencing are not just causing uncomfortable living conditions for Americans. "They are threatening human health, destroying our natural heritage, jeopardizing our agriculture industry and putting our economy and national security at risk." 2010 Temperatures: First Six Months Of This Year Hottest On Record

Too bad so many people prefer to deal with global warming by swigging that ice cold, refreshing Reich Wing koolade.

What the wingnuts fail to realize is that there's a difference between climate change and weather. As the polar caps melt I'll be expecting the weather here to get much colder. As it is this years has been the coldest on record with too much rain at the wrong time in spring meaning the fields were rotting and farmers were unable to do a second planting. In British Columbia farmland it was a total disaster with flooding.

And if it's this hot world wide imagine what that will do for hurricanes and typhoons.

Yeah by the time people wake up to the problem they'll be waste deep in salt water. Even at that point they'll still want to drill baby drill.

Dave man made natural, natural enhanced by man, whatever it can not be denied except by a self serving idiot.

Demeur the weather is all askew too much violent weather in too many places for too long periods. This is not good! I remember when I was a kid in the early 70s I was aware things were changing and my friends use to laugh at me when I use to say some day people are going to visit Mass for the heat and visit Florida's winter wonderland.

Tim they'll never change, they will just move further inland and higher up until they kill themse3lve's off. We are a pretty screwed up species. I say often that mans role here is not to nurse the planet as we should be at this stage of her life if survival was the goal, but to bring the planet's life cycle full swing, end it!

Just saw the documentary Blue Gold about what corporations want to do with our water. If any corporation wants to privatize your local water district you can tell them where to go.

I've lived out here 30 years and noticed a distinct change. There's been less rain and cooler temps.

Here we go, I just heard a seepage has been detected coming from near the well. Undetermined anomalies, can anyone admit or say we cracked the sea floor?

Demeur maybe I should know but you say out here, where the heck do you live? One of my brothers has been trying to get me out to Kingman, Az for years but I keep telling him to get out of there while he can. We are pretty safe right here in Ma and I was just talking to a friend who gives me yesterday about perpetual crops as I am a survivalist and he grew up off the land in Canada.
