Today's examples of self serving idiocy: Going through the news the so called experts make me laugh, they just do not get it! They don't care!

Engage!

I'm just going to scratch the surface because you can write a book on it in fact several and I have. However those that capitalize from what we call life today do not care that they just do not get it!
Report says Saddam's Iraq and Al Qaeda not linked No kidding we know that. Somehow McCain is getting away running for office being wrong on this doesn't matter. Why the hell did we spend the time and money to find out what we already knew and what doesn't matter? I just don't get it?

Senate rejects earmark moratorium The U.S. Senate overwhelmingly shot down an effort Thursday night to ban "earmark" spending for one year -- quashing an effort backed by all three senators seeking the presidency. personally I don't know how how I feel about them. I guess if it something that a State really needs then it would be acceptable. However McCain says you are by definition of receiving them a dirty bad Politician. But self serving underhanded Lobbyists and Politician's like McCain are okay? I just don't friggen get it?

Bush confident about our failing economy Trying to calm jitters about the economy, President Bush conceded on Friday that the country "obviously is going through a tough time" but expressed confidence about a rebound. In a speech to The Economic Club of New York, Bush said this was not the first time the economy has been rattled and that he is certain that it will ride out its troubles. "These are uncertain times," he said. The president spoke as evidence of an ailing economy piled up. The dollar fell, oil and gold hit record highs, the economy is shedding jobs, retail sales saw a big drop and the effects of a severe credit squeeze linger. Economic worries have replaced the Iraq war as the No. 1 concern of voters in this presidential election year. I wrote about it over a year ago. This is no bump to overcome and this story I wrote more than 2 months ago forecasting world wide violence and recession best describes The Second Greatest Depression

There's only one place left in America that they don't get it says McCain The SOB is smiling while he says that. I hate to tell him. They are all out of touch and none of them care. I just don't get it!
House defies bush on surveillance they don't get it they Don't matter he will veto

Bush wants weaker smog standards Doesn't give a damn!
Clinton apologizes to Black voters Ah Ah!
minister off Obama's campaign Ah Ah!
ferraro forced out Pshaw! They don't get it! We know damn well Racism is alive and well. More so in today's environment than ever but being Politicians they have to hide it!

As the Dow tumbles and Bush bails out Bear Stearns Bernanke says he will help the home owners as bush warns of too much help and vows veto if there is an attempted bailout of speculating wanabe homeowners. Now I don't friggen get it? Meanwhile the chief idiot paints this brain dead, naive, unrealistically upbeat picture!

I hate to say it but another unrealistic endeavor is The unrealistic gun Ban in DC I must admit I am not a big fan of gun ownership primarily because of the style of guns people own and what they do with them. I am afraid right now that it is futile to try to get guns off the street and if the shit hits the fan we may be thankful we have them around. It is a catch 22!

Now let's finish this with Iran and what they naively call "speculation" Hard-line allies of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are ahead in Iran's parliamentary election, partial results suggest. But conservative critics of Mr. Ahmadinejad also appear to be making a strong showing that could undermine his domination of the parliament. Reformists are said to be struggling after large numbers of their candidates were barred from the race. The United States says this means the results were "cooked". NAW!
The Iranian authorities had called for a big turnout to defy the US and other countries they say are Iran's enemies. The election will shape the political map ahead of 2009's presidential poll. President Ahmadinejad flew in from an Islamic summit in Senegal to cast his vote. He said the world had chosen Iran as its "role model and saviour". They are preparing to take on Bush

stunningly knowing what Bush is doing, why, and the negative consequences of it all and that Iran is stacking the Right war wing and military to take on what they too se is in immanent inevitable war with the US there are 6 signs to prove the war is immanent and this so called expert says they are six signs the US is not headed to war with Iran

Last but not least as I always say, Experts don't have a damn clue! The world's anti-terrorism experts met for a conference in Stockholm this week and, as Roger Hardy, the BBC's Islamic Affairs Analyst, found, optimism was in short supply. What struck me most, in three days of debate, was the degree of pessimism about the task at hand. Yes, there has been a learning curve. It is now widely recognized that Muslim hearts and minds matter and that military successes mean little if the battle of ideas is being lost. But there is still a long way to go.
This came home to me when I spoke to an American military man who had helped produce the US Counter-Insurgency Manual. How long did he think the "long war" - as many now call it - would last? It is the kind of question journalists ask, and I did not expect that he would put a number on it. But he did. "Thirty years if we get it right," he said. "A hundred years if we get it wrong." That's not pessimism that's optimistic Realism
I have said it a million times these so called experts don't have a clue! War with Iran was only one of the reasons for attacking Iraq and this total world eruption will make the 100 years war look short. Depressions, wars, they don't get less significant over time they get more pronounced and much worse as time goes by. This will be no exception! Old regional wars were a prelude to WW1. WW1 was a preparation for WW2, and WW2 was a warning if we were stupid enough to allow it to happen, WW3 would be the longest and the worst!

Hey man! I responded to something you wrote but it was an older post so you might not have seen it. My son that was just home before heading back to Iraq was here and I didn't have much time.
You are right Bernanke is tripping and he's a trip. Did I say something about Bernanke? I'll have to check it out. His biggest problem is taking the Helm after Greenspan engineered this financial collapse for Bush that is just starting .
It is necessary for people to give total control of their lives up and they are just about ready. Then the next worse step!

By the way, I comment to all of Jerome's work because I want him to see reality from an average american though he does not answer. He only educates. I correspond daily with his 65 year old son.

That's what they do man at least on the right. Bush practices his Rove taught 3D Politics (divisive, deceitful, deceptive, Poltics) Divide and conquer hasn't failed yet. As I was afraid it would be, race is being used to divide us hopefully we will not be cinquered!

Yhep the whole friggen thing was a setup. Just watch 2008 bush has yet to do his worse. You're a thinker I like that.
When you hit on the truth you are dismissed as a conspiracy theorist so the biggest conspiracy of the world can be prosecuted and that is the desturction of societal and world order.
It is now well on its way and if we are lucky enough to have elections and they are fair Obama will be elected and will have to fight the future wars Bush has set the foundatiom for.

Greg Palast has some great insight on the that sheds light on why the Chimps personal attorney, Michael Mukasey, is pursuing this.

This is a must read, Jim.

I agree but it would be nice if they cared about it or listened but as you know, they do not because they are doing their own thing and us and the better of the rest of the world is not a concern and the Bastard has so much power he can discount everything and screw the world. I am sick!

Damn, Damn, Damn! I'm sickened! This underhanded screwing of average Americans just doesn't end and all the while the chief scum is screwing you he is saying how much he cares! I was wondering what the truth was here!
Up until Wednesday, there was one single, lonely politician who stood in the way of this creepy little assignation at the bankers’ bordello: Eliot Spitzer.

Here’s what happened. Since the Bush regime came to power, a new species of loan became the norm, the ‘sub-prime’ mortgage and its variants including loans with teeny “introductory” interest rates. From out of nowhere, a company called ‘Countrywide’ became America’s top mortgage lender, accounting for one in five home loans, a large chunk of these ‘sub-prime.’

When the Bush regime took over, Countrywide and its banking brethren were told to party hearty – it was OK now to steer’m, fake’m, charge’m and take’m.

But there was this annoying party-pooper. The Attorney General of New York, Eliot Spitzer, who sued these guys to a fare-thee-well. Or tried to.

Instead of regulating the banks that had run amok, Bush’s regulators went on the warpath against Spitzer and states attempting to stop predatory practices. Making an unprecedented use of the legal power of “federal pre-emption,” Bush-bots ordered the states to NOT enforce their consumer protection laws.

Indeed, the feds actually filed a lawsuit to block Spitzer’s investigation of ugly racial mortgage steering. Bush’s banking buddies were especially steamed that Spitzer hammered bank practices across the nation using New York State laws.

Spitzer not only took on Countrywide, he took on their predatory enablers in the investment banking community. Behind Countrywide was the Mother Shark, its funder and now owner, Bank of America. Others joined the sharkfest: Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch and Citigroup’s Citibank made mortgage usury their major profit centers. They did this through a bit of financial legerdemain called “securitization.”

When the housing bubble burst and the paint flaked off, investors were left with the poop and the bankers were left with bonuses. Countrywide’s top man, Angelo Mozilo, will ‘earn’ a $77 million buy-out bonus this year on top of the $656 million - over half a billion dollars – he pulled in from 1998 through 2007.

But there were rumblings that the party would soon be over. Angry regulators, burned investors and the weight of millions of homes about to be boarded up were causing the sharks to sink. Countrywide’s stock was down 50%, and Citigroup was off 38%, not pleasing to the Gulf sheiks who now control its biggest share blocks.

Then, on Wednesday of this week, the unthinkable happened. Carlyle Capital went bankrupt. Who? That’s Carlyle as in Carlyle Group. James Baker, Senior Counsel. Notable partners, former and past: George Bush, the Bin Laden family and more dictators, potentates, pirates and presidents than you can count.

The Fed had to act. Bernanke opened the vault and dumped $200 billion on the poor little suffering bankers. They got the public treasure – and got to keep the Grinning’s house. There was no ‘quid’ of a foreclosure moratorium for the ‘pro quo’ of public bailout. Not one family was saved – but not one banker was left behind.

Every mortgage sharking operation shot up in value. Mozilo’s Countrywide stock rose 17% in one day. The Citi sheiks saw their company’s stock rise $10 billion in an afternoon.

And that very same day the bail-out was decided – what a coinkydink! – the man called, ‘The Sheriff of Wall Street’ was cuffed. Spitzer was silenced.

Do I believe the banks called Justice and said, “Take him down today!” Naw, that’s not how the system works. But the big players knew that unless Spitzer was taken out, he would create enough ruckus to spoil the party. Headlines in the financial press – one was “Wall Street Declares War on Spitzer” - made clear to Bush’s enforcers at Justice who their number one target should be. And it wasn’t Bin Laden.

It was the night of February 13 when Spitzer made the bone-headed choice to order take-out in his Washington Hotel room. He had just finished signing these words for the Washington Post about predatory loans:

“Not only did the Bush administration do nothing to protect consumers, it embarked on an aggressive and unprecedented campaign to prevent states from protecting their residents from the very problems to which the federal government was turning a blind eye.”

Bush, Spitzer said right in the headline, was the “Predator Lenders’ Partner in Crime.” The President, said Spitzer, was a fugitive from justice. And Spitzer was in Washington to launch a campaign to take on the Bush regime and the biggest financial powers on the planet.

Spitzer wrote, “When history tells the story of the subprime lending crisis and recounts its devastating effects on the lives of so many innocent homeowners the Bush administration will not be judged favorably.”

But now, the Administration can rest assured that this love story – of Bush and his bankers - will not be told by history at all – now that the Sheriff of Wall Street has fallen on his own gun.
We have to somehow get the truth out as to this scum and what he has really done to us!
