Bush looking for advice About Iraq: What would you tell him?

First a newsflash! Bush is in Baghdad on a surprise visit!
Now my post: Less than a week after top terror leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is killed in Iraq, President Bush uses the momentum to hold a summit on the war. He won't give a timeline for troop withdrawals, but the talks have some speculating about when soldiers could start coming home. What do you think should happen in Iraq?
The Daily Pulse, June 12- what-should-happen-in-iraq - AOL News

Here is a link to the conference. Please read it if you think it worth it but I didn't!

They wouldn't want to hear or listen to what they should do. I understand that Bush is on a conference call with the powers to be on what to do in Iraq after Zarqawi's death.
First I would have to remind them that between the lot of them they have proven that they are not capable of a thought process.
They are the same people that stupidly prosecuted this mess against good advice. They are the ones who have managed the mess known as Iraq. They are the ones responsible for destabilizing the middle east and the world.
Obviously they are not the ones to prosecute the war in Iraq for starters. With that said they should realize that Zarqawi may be dead but his job has been done successfully.
He has already been replaced. A militant named Abu Hamza al-Muhajer was appointed the group's new leader to succeed the slain Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
The name was not immediately known. The name al-Muhajer, Arabic for "immigrant," suggested he was not an Iraqi but a proven Al Qaeda killer..

Bushco should take the threat seriously that things will get worse in Iraq and they definitely will.
They should take seriously the threat that the war will spread to other countries be cause now we are going to the next level and it will. If I was Jordan I would be extra alert because they helped with the intelligence that killed Zarqawi.
Bushco should then pay attention to the advice of Al Gore and start a strategic withdrawal. That is the only way we will see the reality of the mess Bush created and the futility of trying to train the Iraqi's to persevere over the insurgents.
We set the wheels of collapse in the middle east in motion. It is too late to stop it.We should re concentrate our effort in Afghanistan where the situation is becoming increasingly tenuous thanks to Bush's inept creation of insurgency in Iraq.
Get back to the real issue. Prosecuting the war on terror. Setting up a free Nation in Afghanistan free of insurgency.
Re stabilize the world and our standing in it. It would go a long way to help us in the war on terror. Another words we must change directions. Straighten up and fly right. Make believe we care about doing the right thing for the country and not Bushco. We as Bushco must realize our attempt at new world order has failed and get back to all the priorities we said we would address after 9/11 that as of yet have not been addressed.

What would I tell Bush? A hell of a lot, and be patient about it too, as I'm an old Southern lady and have talked some real knotheads into wise action with the 'honey verses vinegar' reasoning. Unfortunately, Bush and his bubbas are so far beyond reason...

I have a simple take on the mess in Iraq at this point. It's fucked, and we're fucked whether we stay or go. Pull Westerners out. It's already civil war there, complete with ethnic cleansing; we are just adding to the problem. The time for us to 'fix what we broke' is long past. And by pull out, I mean our bombers, too. Enough civilians have been collateral hamburger.

Don't get me wrong...I'm not a force is always wrong pacificst; but our government has screwed the pooch so many times on this one it ain't even funny. If you leave these folks be, there might be a chance they'd sort it out themselves.

And it's high time the Guard and the Reserves got a chance to do what they are supposed to do...be available to truck some supplies down in case the next hurricane ain't as benign as Gonzales...er, I mean Alberto.

But I don't think Bush is going to listen to such thoughts when the only thing built in Iraq lately is the new American Palace/Embassey.

As my mama would say, pearls before swine.

Hi meldonna
Whoa! you happen to agree with me. I don't know if you have read any of my past post's here or elsewhere but at this point Bush has done his job.
He no longer matters. He has set the wheels of divisivness in motion here, in Iraq, the middle east, and around the world.
This is still just beginning and is beginning to take on a life of its own.We are winning nothing yet, this is still just getting started.
It will be a hell of a lot longer and dirtier than Bush and others can imagine.
I'm reading your comment again, good one! I agree and you are alright!
