Abbas says Israel must accept foreign border force on the 1967 Frontier border: That would work but will not happen! UN 181 would work!

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said he'll resume direct peace talks if Israel accepts its 1967 frontier as a baseline for the borders of a Palestinian state and agrees to the deployment of an international force there. It is unlikely Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would meet Abbas' demands. Netanyahu has refused to be pinned down on a framework for negotiations, insisting on talks without conditions.

The Palestinians are wary of entering talks with the hardliner Netanyahu, after 17 years of intermittent talks with a succession of Israeli leaders failed to bring them any closer to statehood. It will never happen, they claim the same territory as their own. The Palestinians want to establish their state in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and east Jerusalem, territories Israel captured in the 1967 Mideast War.

Netanyahu has not said how much occupied territory he is willing to relinquish for a Palestinian state. However, he has said he will not give up control of Jerusalem and has insisted on a continued Israeli troop presence on the eastern border of a future Palestinian state.Abbas says Israel must accept foreign border force on the 1967 Frontier border

As you may know, Israel was created in 1948, after UN Resolution 181 partitioned the territory of the British Mandate for Palestine into two states for Jews and Palestinian Arabs. At the time, there were approximately 1.2 million Arabs and 650,000 Jews in all of Palestine. The Arabs objected to the creation of the Jewish state and fought a war against it. The Arab side lost the war, and the Palestinian state never really came into being.

The territory allotted to the Palestinian state by the UN partition resolution was taken over by Israel and Jordan. About 780,000 Palestinians became refugees, many of them living in the Gaza strip as well as in the West Bank. Background of Palestine and UN resolution 181

You know, first reading how Israel and Palestine was allotted their territories in 1948 I do not condone that Israel has not been forced to adhere to that resolution. We, the US Britain and Europe especially are as guilty as Israel for not insisting Israel adhere to UN Resolution 181

You know I say often that we are Israel's lap dog, her pit Bull that will do the fighting for her when she gets in trouble. Israel I came to realize is the worlds chief warmonger and the US the enforcer. It became obvious that coming to Israel's rescue would be how the US has the excuse to go after Iran.

The Israel, Palestinian, Iran, Syria, Middle East issue will never be resolved peacefully Knowing that I have to agree with Ahmadinejad when he said if the US and Europe felt so bad for what happened to the Jews during WW2 then they should have given them part of their country.

The best we could hope for is an adherence to UN resolution 181. That will never happen either and all I can see is a total Middle East breakdown that Bush guaranteed when he attacked Iraq to help Israel set up their buffer zone. If the Iranian Revolutionary Guard interfere with the Israeli Blockade of Gaza as they have offered to do it will guarantee war with Iran, take the heat off Iran and the dissidents protesting the corrupt regime, guarantee US involvement and worse. There will never be peace in the Middle East period unless there is a return to the original borders set in UN resolution 181!

All I can say is who wants to eliminate whom? Looks like the Israelies are doing a good job of it. Also wonder why the other Arab countries didn't put their foot down and demand a Palestinian state?

Demeur that's right, you have been on this too! Those images really tell it all don't they. The Arab states didn't put their foot down because we can be sure the US's was on their neck! This mess is our fault too for not enforcing 181 and their will never be peace as they both claim the same land as theirs!

Well I guess we're stuck. I'd like to see us say goodbye and good luck to all involved. I know that would never happen. Perhaps when Israel attacks Iran the American people will wake up a tad. I know, I'm dreaming.
No we're doomed over being Israel's big brother, ready to do their fighting.

We're their lap dog Tim! They know we will be there for them regardless and that's not good considering the source.

I now believe they are the worlds chief war monger and we do their bidding.

3 if my sons are lifers and you have to wonder where they will be abused and ill used next.

I tell them to just relax because they are in it for the long haul.

I know Lisa but sadly as I say too often, this is out of our control and it is barely beginning. Stay home or not they are going to take it to us so we have no choice but to fight! By the way, Hi Lisa!

Your numbers are very misleading and are in fact out right lies to justify the occupation of Palestine, 60 years of propaganda and the dumbing down America has really done a number.
We shovel 8 million a day for Israel to exist directly from American tax dollars...Israel is a racist Nazi state, and the Zionist regime need to be removed if Israel has any hope of existing in the future, the more they stay on occupied land the more they tighten the noose around their own necks!
