Despite the Childish Political games Pennsylvania residents reaffirm Obama was right! Newspapers Super delegates also ignore the games and endorse Obama!
These Political children posing as adults stupefy me as they continue their ignorant games while the US and the world are going to hell in a hand basket. To explain Obama's latest gaffe, currently playing all over the airwaves. Speaking at a fundraiser in San Francisco, the hippie heart of the great 60s Satan, Obama made some casual remarks about the good citizens of Pennsylvania and the Mid-west, suggesting that "they haven't had jobs for twenty five years, they're bitter, they cling on to their guns, their religion...". Mr. Change was speaking loosely, because it was a closed event. Yet of course there are no closed events these days. He was right! It was not a gaffe but by his opponents was made into one to be used in their favor and twisting the truth against him!

As usual, they were not casual remarks little pieces were picked from the whole! They were correct and measured as the words of a politically naive would be. Obama is damn right and it is worse than that. However Hillary jumped right on it and twisted it to use in her favor and against Barack to deflect from her own lies and inequities. Her and McCain have a lot of B's calling Obama elitist when McCain is worth incomprehensible hundreds of millions and Billary just finally announced her hidden tax returns stating in the last 7 years they have earned $109 million much of it in the middle east more then questionably. I hate the friggen games. I just wish too god instead of buying into the childish same old Political games Obama would reiterate the facts on MSM and force those other idiots to confront the horror really facing us and the world.

Anyway the truth is starting to overwhelm the childish Political games! Barack Obama lashed out Sunday at Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, mocking her sudden vocal support for gun rights, and saying he better understands the concerns of working class people.

The Illinois senator has spent three days on the defensive after comments he made at a San Francisco fundraiser suggesting working class people are bitter about their economic circumstances and “cling to guns and religion” as a result. Clinton has pounded him for the remarks, calling him “elitist and divisive.” “Now I am the first to admit that some of the words I chose I chose badly, because as my wife reminds me, I’m not perfect. She reminds me of this frequently, and events often remind me as well,” Obama said, reiterating his regret for his choice of words. “So I’m not a perfect man and the words I chose, I chose badly. They were subject to misinterpretation, they were subject to be twisted, and I regret that. I regret that deeply. But. But. But. When people suggest that somehow I was demeaning religion. When I know that I’m a man of deep faith, somebody who in my own life has held on to faith, held onto my confidence in God during times of trial and tribulation, then it sounds like there’s some politics being played.

“When people suggest I was somehow being elitist and demeaning hunters when I have repeatedly talked about the tradition that people pass on from generation to generation, hunters and sportsmen, and how I have consistently spoken about my respect for the Second Amendment. When people try to suggest that I was demeaning those traditions, then it sounds like there’s some politics being played. And what really burns me up is when people suggest that me saying that folks are mad, they are angry, they are bitter after 25, 30 years of seeing jobs shipped out, pensions not fulfilled, health care lost. The notion that people are surprised, and are suggesting that I’m out of touch because I spoke honestly about people’s frustrations, that tells me there’s some politics going on,” he said.

He then turned the tables on Clinton — noting that she accepted campaign contributions from drug and insurance company lobbyists and mocking, among other things, her sudden fealty to the rights of gun owners. “She is running around talking about how this is an insult to sportsmen, how she values the Second Amendment. She’s talking like she’s Annie Oakley,” Obama told an audience at a union hall here, invoking the famed female sharpshooter immortalized in the musical “Annie Get Your Gun.” Obama continued, saying “Hillary Clinton is out there like she’s on the duck blind every Sunday. She’s packing a six-shooter. Come on, she knows better. That’s some politics being played by Hillary Clinton. … She knows better. Shame on her. Shame on her.” Obama: I'm not perfect; mocks Clinton's support for gun rightsObama:

I have to laugh! I heard Cheney challenge her to a shooting match. She then said she "misspoke" that would have been funny! Anyway Barack Obama furthered his recent criticisms of Hillary Clinton Monday by mocking the fact that she recently "threw back a shot and a beer" in front of the media. After first saying too many candidates are only giving voters "rhetoric," the Illinois senator said, "They'll promise you anything. They'll even give you a long list of proposals. They'll even come around with TV crews in tow and throw back a shot and a beer." The shot came Saturday at Bronko’s Restaurant in Crown Point, Indiana. With the national media in tow, Clinton made a stop there to drink a beer and speak with voters. After ordering her beer the bartender asked, “You want a shot with that Hillary?” After some deliberation, Clinton settled on a shot of Crown Royal, a Canadian whiskey. But Obama is not totally in the clear himself when it comes to photo-ops at bars. The White House hopeful nursed a beer in front of cameras with Pennsylvania senator Bob Casey at a sports bar during his Pennsylvania bus tour on March 28. He has since mentioned that moment of drinking in front of audiences on the trail in the Keystone State.Obama mocks Clinton 'throwing back a shot and a beer

I just wish Politicians would grow up and stop play in harmful to America Political games! People are finally seeing through them! Since the "gaffe" Ignoring the "bitter" flap, two Pennsylvania newspapers Sunday endorsed Barack Obama. The Allentown Morning Call noted Hillary Clinton's experience but said, "Leadership also depends on having a vision, plans to pursue that vision, and an ability to inspire others to follow." In Scranton, where Clinton has family roots, the Times-Tribune called Clinton "a political lightning rod" and said Obama "portends a new approach to governance that can help to dissipate the political miasma that has engulfed Washington at least since the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton."

Super delegate decides: One of Minnesota's last uncommitted Democratic super delegates is backing Obama. Nancy Larson, a Democratic National Committee member, says she has decided to support Obama because his campaign will bring new people into the political process, and he has the best chance of winning in November. Leno's laugher: "Experts are suggesting that if Hillary loses Pennsylvania, she could be finished. I don't want to say Hillary's days might be numbered, but her new Secret Service code name is ‘Katie Couric.'" - Jay Leno Pennsylvania papers back Barack

The final proof people are seeing through the childish games! CNN Senior Producer Sasha Johnson traveled to Coaldale, Pennsylvania, to talk to voters, including some members of her extended family, about how a typical small town like Coaldale might vote in 2008 and what issues are on their minds. Coaldale is a borough of 2,200, nestled in the anthracite-rich mountains in the northeastern part of Pennsylvania.

It's exactly the type of place Sen. Barack Obama referenced last week when he said some Pennsylvanians were "bitter" over their poor economic situation. Obama said he regretted the word choice but continued to argue that some voters feel desperate. After spending a day talking with Coaldale voters, it seems to me the anger Obama described in his now controversial comments might not have been too far off the mark. "It's time for the politicians to come down to our level," said Ruth Weiss during the lunch hour at Tommy's, Coaldale's only casual eatery among a row of shuttered shops and next to a 60-year-old movie theater that has survived.
"People can't afford food. I'm paying for oil for the restaurant out of my own Social Security check." Ruth and her husband, Tommy, describe their small pizza and sub restaurant on East Phillips Street as a "country store," a place where the regulars can gather to talk, share a meal or -- as is the case lately -- sip a cup of coffee. "This is my business, but people can't afford it," said Ruth. She detailed the myriad of problems she and others are facing -- rising gas prices, increased taxes, out of control food and prescription costs. It is no wonder, she said, people can't afford lunch or dinner at the restaurant they've owned for 25 years.

* Today, many of Coaldale's residents are elderly and on fixed incomes. Claire Remington, Coaldale's mayor since 2001 and lifelong resident, said her constituents are "tightlipped" about who will get their vote in the primary. On a drive through town, only a "Ron Paul for President" yard sign could be found. "I'm a die-hard Republican, but I have to say this year things are going to be a little different for me," said Remington, who is part of the town's tight-knit Russian Orthodox community. "The party is going to be upset with me, but I feel that we need a change. "At this point Remington plans to cast a write-in vote for Obama in the primary. She joins her husband, Otis, in supporting Obama. "This time around I'm dead set against voting for Hillary Clinton," said Otis, a longtime Democrat and retired Navy reservist. "As far as Barack goes, he's young, he's inexperienced, he's new, but I think given a chance he could be a good president." please read it. It is a good picture of how rural America really feels and not how Politicians portray them!Behind the Scenes: Small-town voters talk economic pain, politics

I think Obama was pandering to the audience to whom he was speaking. Despite the accuracy of his words, he couched then foolishly. It's not a big deal. Sadly all politicians pander. That's what Clinton was doing when she talked up guns drinking boilermakers with the boys. And nobody out-panders McPander. Does that make Obama elitist? It's a strange charge coming from two multi-millionaires.

Both Clinton and Obama need to concentrate on records and positions where each other are concerned, while working together to go after McFuhrer.

You're right tc! I wish they would concentrate on the problems in the country and around the world and undoing the nightmares present and future Bush created.
I was happy to see that despite McCain and Hillary trying to twist his words in their favor that it is not working with the people only the damned MSM who is playing it for all it's worth!

I can't seem to summon the will to wade into the campaign muck.

It would be easier if I believed that it matters.

But that won't change until we fix our voting system.

I sympathize but we have to try to make a difference. I don't think it matters but I will keep trying. You know how I feel. I expect McCain is already the chosen one to finish off Bush's nightmare and our voting system will not be changed for the better as it is increasingly designed to be stolen and will be again this year! Sucks doesn't it?

I'm sick to death of Hill's act! Barack did good by mocking her because how else you gonna deal with it.

Did you see this poll?

Are you offended by Barack Obama's Comments?

Yes 25%

No 75%

Hi Karen!
I am sick of her crap too! Obama was right. Hillary and McCain are trying to turn it around and use it against him. Can you imagine the audacity of those two multi millionaires calling Obama an elitist. It isn't working but MSM will keep it going because it works for them instead of focusing on the myriad of real problems that aren't worth money. And thank you! I did not see that poll but saw the proof in the links so thanks! i will check the one you supplied!

The one thing I am constantly amazed at is the large number of Hillary supporters who cry about Obama running such a dirty and negative campaign - yet nearly every news article I read, nearly every newscast I watch contains more negative, dirty campaigning coming from the Clinton campaign. When will this Lewis Carroll election be over?

jmsjoin said...

Gee Robert!
Always a pleasant surprise to see you out and about! It is sickening isn't it? She succeeded a long time ago in crying to MSM saying they were picking on her and giving Obama a buy.
Now they are relentlessly after him. Hillary and McCain are getting him from both sides. Hmm! I think many are starting to see the underhanded childish crap and are waking up. I saw some of the small town interviews today and it did turn them but I hope they wake up. You have young kids and it bothers me that we are so screwed if it goes as I fear with McCain. Oh man, we can't stop trying!

I hold out hope that the media is not reflecting reality but rather in vain trying to shape it.

The media has been wrong time and time again in this election. And while they want us to think Obama's campaign is imploding and that this is the proverbial nail in the coffin, Pensylvanians have yet to vote.

Hillary was expected to win Penn anyway. The discussion will then revolve around if Hillary wins by more than 8 points then by golly the 'Bitter-Gate' hurt Obama who was 'clearly' surging in Penn before 'Bitter-Gate'.

If Hillary wins by less than 8 points then we can conclude 'Bitter-Gate' had only a nominal effect and we'll be left with the likes of Chris Mathews and Tim Russert once again scratching their heads with that nervous laugh appologizing for gettting it wrong again.

Have we all forgotten that in 2000 Bush was portrayed as the Beer Drinking every day hard working small town American while Al Gore was made out to be an 'Elitist'?

Remember how that played well in small town America?

Yet what is the truth? Bush is Ivy Leaugue born into an Elite Family Dynasty. Yet half the country bought into his country bumpkin beer guzzling act.

The media is trying to shape reality. They will not leave this alone and as you pointed out they are ignoring our real troubles while feeding these political games. they eat this shit up and often create. They will not leave this alone!
You know, Obama has made good inroads on her but If he doesn't stay on top of this elitist BS he is going to have trouble. Some are believing it and MSM won't leave it alone.
It reminds me that we always say MSM is in Bush's pocket and that slime wants Hillary to win because as he said, they will beat her.
It pisses me off but bush is as stupid as he looks and sounds but he made enough fools think that was endearing now we're all paying.

Obama an elitist? Give me a break! A black man raised by a single Mom? I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am in Clinton. I don't think Obama has been as nasty as she has. I wonder how all this will play out when one candidate has to support and campaign for the other. The Republicans will have a field day! and in the mean time McCain is getting a free ride. How sad is that.

jmsjoin said...

It's sickening MB!
It is the ultimate in hypocrisy when the likes of Hillary and McCain can paint the likes of life from the ground up " Obama" as elitist and some people believe it.
McCain has to be worth a half billion and Hillary made $109 million since they have been out of office.
I see some are buying it but many are not including Newspares and Super Delegates. I just hope he plays their game better than them.
I said a long time ago in regard to the Repugs but it applies to the NeoCon in Dem clothing Hillary that unless we figure out a way to beat the disinformation juggernaut righteousness and honesty is worth nothing!

Its sooooo obvious what Clinton is doing. Her political tactics are an example of what kind of president she would be – a personality that nobody should want. Again she will do anything for this nomination = power hungry.

Welcome, nice to hear from you! She is an underhanded self serving liar. A NeoCon in Democrats clothing. It sickens me that she is trying to destroy Obama and the party. She is defeatable that's why Republicans want her to continue to fight and ultimately get the nomination.
I saved a story this morning about Gore and Carter teaming up to get her to relinquish but there is no way in hell she will!

jmsjoin said...

I know! Under normal conditions it is. But this is not normal. A new openly underhanded standard has been set by Bush and Rove and the Clinton's are masters. Lying is the new truth and I can't stand it!
The best person loses period and we can not afford it anymore. I think McCain is only going through the motions and is the next Republican Presidential false God anyway probably by stealing the Presidency once again but we will know soon!

I am sorry I want to thank you too for coming by. The conversation and new opinions are more then welcome. We must save our America!

So it doesn't bother any of you that these words spoken by a black person about white small town America are pretty darn racist. Think about every time a white person tries to lump a black community together like that! Coming from a small town just like those, I'm offended. I am not a bigot and don't cling to guns, religion, etc. So let's just belittle the struggling white, gun-totin',country bigots... It's fine if the Messiah says it!

jmsjoin said...

I honestly never thought of it in terms of racism. Funny but neither did MSM, Hillary, or McCain, who surely would have if they could have spun that too.
I think he was right that many in small towns are left behind. i think he went over board though and he said as much but I don't know about leaning on guns though unless they feel real threatened and I am starting to sense that emotion around the entire country in average Americans.
