Russia revises U.S. missile Defense, as Europe urged to join "Son Of Star Wars"

Russia revises U.S. missile Defense, As Europe urged to join "Son Of Star wars" Russia says Bombers will supress Missile Sield!
Russia said it was revising its military doctrine to reflect other powers' growing use of military force, while a Russian general warned again that Moscow could knock out elements of the US missile defence system planned for eastern Europe. The comments came as Angela Merkel, German chancellor, added her voice to the heated international debate over the missile defence system by calling for Nato to be given responsibility for defusing concerns over the plan.
Nato is the best place for discussion of this issue," she told the Financial Times in an interview, arguing that Washington should step up consultation with its western allies and Russia.
Her statement reflects concerns over increasing east-west tensions since Vladimir Putin, Russian president, delivered a speech in Munich sharply criticising US unilateralism, and the US formally asked Poland and the Czech Republic to host parts of the anti-missile system.
Russia disputes Washington's claims that the system is not aimed at Russia but designed to intercept missiles from "rogue" states such as Iran or North Korea.

Like Russia, I do not believe Bush's missile defense system is not intended to threaten Russia but I became interested in those "Rogue States" and who we were protecting ourselves from. More of that later!
So what do we do to ally their concerns? A top US military defence chief Tuesday urged European countries to join the controversial missile defence system to ward off a "serious threat" from countries such as Iran and North Korea. I mean, come on can Bush really think Iran and North Korea are serious threats?
Anyway Lieutenant General Henry Obering, director of the United States Missile Defence Agency, told a high-powered meeting of security and defence experts in London that it would be "prudent" for European countries to join a US-backed anti-ballistic defence system, also known as "Son of Star Wars."

Just what is the purpose of Son Of Star Wars? A furtherance of Bush's new world "dominance" order!
In response to Bush's instigation we of course get this expected response from the Russian's! Russia's strategic aviation has sufficient potential to suppress elements of a U.S. missile defense shield should it be deployed in Central Europe, the commander of the Strategic Air Force said Monday.
"Missile shield elements, which are located in silos, are very vulnerable and have weak defenses," Lieutenant-General Igor Khvorov said. "Therefore, all aircraft deployed by [Russian] strategic aviation can either apply electronic counter-measures against them or physically destroy them."
Russia, which has been anxious about NATO bases that have appeared in former Communist-bloc countries and ex-Soviet republics, has blasted U.S. plans to deploy anti-missile systems in Central Europe as a national security threat and a destabilizing factor for Europe.

Anyway, as I said at the start of this I decided to look at the countries that possess these Ballistic missile threats as I was wondering just where the threats were coming from. Interesting but Confusing!
This table represents the Carnegie Non-Proliferation Project’s best assessment of the world's ballistic missile arsenals. The Project counts 35 nations as fielding some type of ballistic missile. Missiles reported to be in development are listed in italics. Endnotes and a key are provided below.

Please check them out but looking at the main prolferators of weapons we could realistically fear, USA, Russia, China, France, I realized that Bush is again full of shit and if we had someone to fear it is ourselves. We must protect ourselve's from ourselve's it seems!
