Supreme Court strikes down law banning dogfight videos: Wonder what Michael Vick thinks about that?
Remember Justice Alito's you lie moment during the SOTU address?
Supreme Court strikes down law banning dogfight videos
This is quite a supreme court we have on tap here. They gave our country to corporations saying donating as much as they want to a cause or a politician is covered under freedom of speech. Every time Obama has to look for a new Justice we hear Republicans cry that they do not want outlaw Justices. What the heck do they call this!
As you know, President Obama lambasted the Supreme court injustices for handing a huge victory to special interests and their lobbyists as the so called conservative led Supreme court lifted restrictions on campaign funding by corporations and unions. No kidding! What a coincidence huh? With mid terms approaching the corporations and unions can now lead the way in bringing down the Democrats and their agenda.
Blatant lying and fear mongering using radio and TV advertisements is what those scum are getting away with calling freedom of speech? Now we will just see the asinine lies used in the Health care debates used to bring down the Democrats only now the lying ads will be on steroids as they take the lead in defeating Obama's agenda and the Democrats.
Alito blatantly defending that move to subvert our Democracy mouthing "Not true, not true" while sitting in the front row during President Obama first state of the union address which was in fact a State of Disunion address" was dead wrong, shows there will be no coming together to solve we the people's growing problems, and led me to look at why Alito is so anti Obama!
However it was true! If then Senator Obama had been listened to Alito would not even have been in the chambers. As a senator, he voted against Alito's confirmation. He said President George W. Bush's second nominee to the court was a man of "great character" which is definitely now in question and that he was an accomplished jurist which I now doubt 100%.
"But it is too bad he was ignored because he was dead on when he said "when you look at his record when it comes to his understanding of the Constitution I have found that in almost every case he consistently sides on behalf of the powerful against the powerless; on behalf of a strong government or corporation against upholding American's individual rights. Man what else is there to say. As they say it is too late and the proof is in the pudding. History plays a role in Obama-Alito flap
I am sick of the idiocy coming from Republicans while consistently since Bush they loudly and ignorantly accuse the Democrats of doing what they are in fact doing so they can follow their hidden agenda. Everything has backfired on them and it will continue. I wonder what Michael Vick thinks of them striking down the ban on dog fighting videos after what he has gone through? Aren't these idiots radical Justices "whether they abstain or not" legislating from the bench? Conservatives, yeah!

Obama was right during Alito nomination: Alito is paying Obama back!

* Now Obama is hoping Congress can get together, both sides of the aisle as the super majority is gone and I doubt it 100% as the Republicans see their much worked for defeat of President Obama and his ours and the Democrats Waterloo. They are giddy but knowing the election of independent Scott Brown was a vote against them too they most likely are creating their own Waterloo!

Obama Holding Court!

Justice Steven's leads the Left in the Supreme court so Obama does not have to concern himself with choosing a leader but of course he will. What Obama needs of course is a female version of himself. I think he is married to her. Too bad he couldn't appoint Michele. That said I am sure he will make an awesome pick. As usual he will make the best decision for the Constitution and our America. As you know, Souter told Obama two days ago or so we are told.
I loved Obama interrupting the daily press briefing and announcing Souter's retirement and how he would pick a replacement. His enthusiasm and desire to do the right thing for the Constitution and all Americans never ceases to impress me. He will pick someone like himself who is tried and true and has a real passion for the Constitution unlike Bush who picked people who would parse the Constitution to do what he wanted period.
I think Obama can find a very qualified Hispanic woman who fits the Bill. However he will pick the absolute best regardless of sex or race. In a perverse way I am looking forward to his decision whoever it is because regardless the Republicans will find fault. I have to wonder what kind of idiocy we are going to hear this time. Obama said he will pick someone who is sharp and can empathize with people in every situation.
Obama wants who respects and has love for the Constitution. I love it! I love Obama's love for the Constitution and doing the right thing for America and not himself as Bush always did. Because the laws did not allow his interracial parents to marry at the time I think Obama will pick someone who allows gay marriage and equal rights for all. A Supreme court pick is a super bowl decision for a President. This is a super bowl Obama will win!
Obama wants empathy, I really am impressed. With that in mind and knowing Bush picked totally Partisan and people who would parse the Constitution for him Obama voted against Alito and Roberts. I have not followed them to see if Obama made the right decision but I must admit I myself have not been disappointed with Roberts. Please feel free to fill me in.
Following President Obama has been interesting from day one and this will be no exception. A brilliant fair minded President is going to make a brilliant fair minded liberal pick who will set the tone for years to come. I am psyched! Did I say that? There has been 115 Justices appointed in 220 some years. I fully expect Obama's appointment to be even among such an elitist field, exceptional.
I do believe Obama wants a female minority as I said but when all is said and done he will make sure he picks someone with the principles he so eloquently stated. Privacy, Justice, and equal opportunity for all! How about Sotomayor? She is more than qualified and Hispanics are due. A champion of Justice will be priority one, the Constitution and how it affects everyone period.
In closing Republicans will create an issue where there is none with the goal of rallying their base to divide and conquer the Democrats. Once again they will fail. It is a Conservative court and Obama will pick a Liberal with the goal of centering the court again. Gays and guns will continue to be an issue and once again Obama will make the right decision for the majority. However, Republicans are already busy trying to dig up dirt on every possible choice they think Obama may make. They are gearing up for a big fight. However it is waste of time as whoever Obama picks will be our latest Chief Justice.

I wanted to Discuss the Supreme Court but this is too much! Obama's economic proposals would harm America, WTF?
I just heard the Supreme Court narrowly uphelp our right to bear arms! I don't know how I feel about that but we may need them in the future to fight off the enemy within! I was going to discuss the Court's mis rulings yesterday but will supply 2 videos instead and hope you find them useful. McCain and his followers idiocy just blows me away. He is as bad if not worse than Bush. I just don't friggen get it! How the hell do they get away with destroting us and threaten that Obama would be our demise. What the hell?
Supreme Court says rape America's kids and we'll take care of you for life!
Supreme court shows they are on Big Oils side!
* Anyway wrapping up his three-week economic tour, Obama today is holding the kind of wonkfest that would warm the heart of the former president, who became famous for holding a series of them during his 1992 campaign. The "summit on ensuring America’s competitiveness in the global economy" at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, according to Obama's campaign, "will bring together economic, educational, community-based, and industry leaders to discuss the challenges facing our workforce and craft solutions for the 21st century." In introductory remarks, the presumptive Democratic nominee says he's been listening on his cross-country tour to the stories of Americans struggling to make ends meet. "It’s time for us to recognize that these individual stories connect to a larger American story," he says in prepared remarks. "All of us have a stake in our common prosperity. When folks are struggling out on Main Street, that pain is going to trickle up to Wall Street. And just as we must provide relief to Americans who are struggling, we also have to recognize that we’re failing to put ourselves in a position to compete in the global economy." To fix that, Obama says, means alternative energy to free America from foreign oil, providing world-class education and affordable healthcare, and improving the nation's infrastructure, among other priorities.
** I don't friggen get it! In a pre-buttal to Obama's appearance, Republicans in a conference call on Wednesday argued that Obama's economic proposals would harm America. They mean the new America they are creating right? The local GOP chairman, Jim Roddey, even made reference to Obama's much-dissected remarks during the primaries about struggling to connect with small-town voters in Pennsylvania who, "bitter" about their economic fate, "cling" to guns or religion. “I don’t know maybe [Obama’s] punishing us for still being bitter or something, but for Pennsylvania, I think his proposals are an absolute disaster,” Roddey said. Obama's punishing us? What the frig are they doing? Republican John McCain, meanwhile, plans a town hall meeting in Cincinnati -- the latest in a series where he challenged Obama to appear. Forget it! His campaign has also issued a strongly worded memo in which senior adviser Steve Schmidt argues that "Too many in Washington are putting politics first and country second." "For John McCain, country first is how he has lived his life and how he has worked in Washington," the memo says.
** That is BS! As for Obama, while "certainly a fresh face, his campaign offers more of the same old typical politics that have broken Washington. In his time on the national stage, he has consistently put his party and his self-interest first." WTF, WTF, WTF, somebody please tell me! Schmidt cites as evidence Obama's reversal last week on public financing for the general election, his rejection of McCain's invitation to the joint town halls, and his loyalty to liberal activists on Iraq and energy policy. "Yeah it is wrong for Obama to so the right thing how dare he? "There has never been a time when Barack Obama has bucked the party line to lead on an issue of national importance," Schmidt writes. "He has never been a part of a bipartisan group that came together to solve a controversial issue. He has never put his career on the line for a cause greater than himself." UPDATE: The Democratic National Committee responded with a memo of its own, citing a series of polls that suggest that many voters believe McCain would mean a third term for President Bush and don't trust him on issues. No kidding? "Four months after becoming the presumptive Republican nominee, John McCain has still failed to connect with the American people," the memo says. "As recent polls show, Senator McCain has not made inroads with voters on key issues of character and values as voters continue to view Senator McCain as out of touch." Obama's economic proposals would harm America, WTF
I just can't take any more of this crap! Give us back our America!

As We feared, Chief Justice John Roberts clearly Demonstrated he is the leader of a dangerous Court!
As we feared Chief Justice John Roberts clearly demonstrated he is the conservative leader of a conservative-leaning court. We continue to be subjugated and it only gets worse.
I haven't heard this discussed of late and we have to stay on top of this too. I want to discuss recent rulings in the Supreme Court that are favoring the right and threatening to undermine years of gains for the people. Back when Bush ridiculously attempted to put his lap dog Meirs in there we were concerned Bush was stacking the Supreme Court to push his perverted agenda through for years to come.
There use to be a measure that once someone got on the Supreme Court they tend to vote the opposite as expected. I was hoping that would continue to be the case with Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Alito. It isn't appearing that way right now.
First I woke this morning to hear a nameless Senator say that never before in history have so many people disagreed with and been upset with the direction of the country. I am afraid we are all part of that group. Then they cut to the chief idiot who was saying everything is great including the immigration Bill and it must be passed.
Then I came in and turned on my computer to see the headline that Bush predicted another win, this time on the arm twisting of the immigration Bill. I say it so much I am sick of saying it as Bush just continues to get his arrogant underhanded way as he drags us into his new societal order.
Anyway with that in mind I was listening to recent developments in the Supreme Court thinking Bush is getting his way there too and it too will continue long after he is gone. Bush is a nightmare that keeps repeating, for us, the middle east, and the entire world. In Monday's Supreme Court rulings, Chief Justice John Roberts clearly demonstrated he is the conservative leader of a conservative-leaning court. In two of the court's high-profile cases, Roberts showed he will take an incremental approach to curbing some of the court's precedents.
In a case testing whether the 2002 campaign reform law could bar certain types of TV ads, Roberts supported the First Amendment right of a Wisconsin Right to Life group to air ads urging two senators to oppose the filibustering of judicial nominees.
That also means that an antiabortion group should have been allowed to air ads during the final two months before the 2004 elections. The law unreasonably limits speech and violates the group's First Amendment rights, the court said. The decision could lead to a bigger role for corporations, unions and other interest groups in the 2008 presidential and congressional elections.
That is a scary thought to me as I can see it being abused further to push these perverted right wing agenda's on us. This is very discomforting and can only get worse. The Supreme Court also ruled Monday that ordinary taxpayers cannot challenge a White House initiative that helps religious charities get a share of federal money. This is really troubling to me. We have to get Religion out of politics.

I am a to each his or her own find of person and I do not have a stance either way on the issue. I do not however appreciate being inundated by Religious right to life groups or perverted right wing agenda's. I do not like it at all! We are being further incapacitated. Where is the outrage?
