No more Omar, no more Osama, Vote for Obama: Former ISI Chief Hamid Gul

Taliban denies report that Mullah Omar is dead: Afghanistan’s main intelligence agency said it is investigating reports that Taliban leader Mohammad Omar and some of his top commanders have left their hideout near the Afghan-Pakistan border and cannot not be located. The reports led some Afghan media outlets to say that Omar may have been killed.

Mullah Omar mystery: Afghan official says ISI took him Knowing he has been under their protection for years I believe that. two days ago a group of armed officers in plain clothes led by Gen Hamid Gul former ISI chief, took Mullah Omar in their custody. Supposedly he was moved from Quetta to North Waziristan but some feel he has been detained or killed. Well we can hope can't we?

An anonymous source inside Afghanistan's intelligence Agency under promise of anonymity has confirmed that mullah Omar was killed 2 days ago. Whether that is true or how he died is still in question. A Taliban spokesman said that Omar was not killed in Pakistan and was in Afghanistan fighting infidels with his commanders. They called rumors of his death typical western propaganda. I believe it, that is what they said about Osama Bin Laden's death.

*In closing, under Bush's misdirection we caught and killed no on because he was ignoring Afghanistan and everything else to attack Iraq to get into the middle east in order to help Israel with the disorder they thought would be a new middle east order. Under Obama we have had one high visibility kill and or capture after the other including as you know Osama Bin Laden.

I remember when McCain said it was naive of Obama to say he would violate Pakistan'ssanctity to get Bin Laden. Who is naive now? We have had one big accomplishment after the other under Obama but this is the head of the hydra and many more will keep taking their place. We need President Obama at the helm to continue the success we have had against the so called terrorists. Republicans painted him weak on defense, well, well, well, and oh yeah 9/11 happened on their watch too.

Memorial Day 2011

Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. men and women who perished while in military service to their country. First enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War

Traditional observance
Many people observe this holiday by visiting cemeteries and memorials. A national moment of remembrance takes place at 3 p.m. US Eastern time. Another tradition is to fly the U.S. flag at half-staff from dawn until noon local time. Volunteers usually place an American flag upon each grave site located in a National Cemetery.

In addition to remembrance, Memorial Day is also used as a time for picnics, barbecues, family gatherings, and sporting events. One of the longest standing traditions is the running of the Indianapolis 500, which has been held in conjunction with Memorial Day since 1911. Some Americans also view Memorial Day as the unofficial beginning of summer and Labor Day as the unofficial end of the season. The national "Click It or Ticket" campaign ramps up beginning Memorial Day weekend, noting the beginning of the most dangerous season for auto accidents and other safety related incidents. The U.S. Air Force "101 Critical Days of Summer" begin on this day as well. Many Americans use Memorial Day to also honor any family members who have died, not just servicemen.

Memorial Day formerly occurred on May 30, and some, such as the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW), advocate returning to this fixed date, although the significance of the date is tenuous. The VFW stated in a 2002 Memorial Day Address, "Changing the date merely to create three-day weekends has undermined the very meaning of the day. No doubt, this has contributed a lot to the general public's nonchalant observance of Memorial Day." Hawaii's Senator Daniel Inouye, a World War II veteran, has repeatedly introduced measures to return Memorial Day to its traditional day since 1987.

Community Observance
In addition to national observances, many individual communities hold memorial observance for fallen soldiers who were from that town by having a ceremony in a church or town memorial park. It is also common for fire and police departments to remember and honor members lost in the line of duty. Towns often hold a memorial day parade to remember those people. Participation in such a parade is by community organizations such as members of the local emergency services and their vehicles, Rotary Clubs, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and bands from the local high school or church groups. Communities may also hold a town-wide picnic barbecue at a local park in which the whole town is invited to attend.

History
Following the end of the Civil War, many communities set aside a day to mark the end of the war or as a memorial to those who had died. Some of the places creating an early memorial day include Charleston, South Carolina; Boalsburg, Pennsylvania; Richmond, Virginia; Carbondale, Illinois; Columbus, Mississippi; many communities in Vermont; and some two dozen other cities and towns. These observances eventually coalesced around Decoration Day, honoring the Union dead, and the several Confederate Memorial Days.

According to Professor David Blight of the Yale University History Department, the first memorial day was observed in 1865 by liberated slaves at the historic race track in Charleston. The site was a former Confederate prison camp as well as a mass grave for Union soldiers who had died while captive. The freed slaves reinterred the dead Union soldiers from the mass grave to individual graves, fenced in the graveyard & built an entry arch declaring it a Union graveyard; a very daring thing to do in the South shortly after North's victory. On May 30 1886? the freed slaves returned to the spiffed up graveyard with flowers they'd picked from the countryside & decorated the individual grave-sites, thereby creating the 1st Decoration Day. A parade with thousands of freed blacks and Union soldiers was followed by patriotic singing and a picnic.

The official birthplace of Memorial Day is Waterloo, New York. The village was credited with being the birthplace because it observed the day on May 5, 1866, and each year thereafter, and because it is likely that the friendship of General John Murray, a distinguished citizen of Waterloo, and General John A. Logan, who led the call for the day to be observed each year and helped spread the event nationwide, was a key factor in its growth.

General Logan had been impressed by the way the South honored their dead with a special day and decided the Union needed a similar day. Reportedly, Logan said that it was most fitting; that the ancients, especially the Greeks, had honored their dead, particularly their heroes, by chaplets of laurel and flowers, and that he intended to issue an order designating a day for decorating the grave of every soldier in the land, and if he could he would have made it a holiday.

Logan had been the principal speaker in a citywide memorial observation on April 29, 1866 at a cemetery in Carbondale, Illinois, an event that likely gave him the idea to make it a national holiday. On May 5, 1868 in his capacity as commander-in-chief of the Grand Army of the Republic, a veterans' organization, Logan issued a proclamation that "Decoration Day" be observed nationwide. It was observed for the first time on May 30 of the same year; the date was chosen because it was not the anniversary of a battle. The tombs of fallen Union soldiers were decorated in remembrance of this day.

Many of the states of the U.S. South refused to celebrate Decoration Day, due to lingering hostility towards the Union Army and also because there were very few veterans of the Union Army who lived in the South. A notable exception was Columbus, Mississippi, which on April 25, 1866 at its Decoration Day commemorated both the Union and Confederate casualties buried in its cemetery.

The alternative name of "Memorial Day" was first used in 1882 but did not become more common until after World War II and was not declared the official name by Federal law until 1967 . On June 28, 1968 the United States Congress passed the Uniform Holidays Bill which moved three holidays from their traditional dates to a specified Monday in order to create a convenient three-day weekend and for the first time recognized Columbus Day as a federal holiday.

The holidays included Washington's Birthday (which evolved into Presidents' Day), Veterans Day and Memorial Day. The change moved Memorial Day from its traditional May 30 date to the last Monday in May. The law took effect at the federal level in 1971 . After some initial confusion and unwillingness to comply at the state level, all fifty states adopted the measure within a few years, although Veterans Day was eventually changed back to its traditional date. Ironically, most corporate businesses no longer close on Columbus Day or Veterans Day, and an increasing number are staying open on President's Day as well. Memorial Day, however, has endured as one holiday during which most businesses stay closed because it marks the beginning of the "summer vacation season," as does neighboring Canada's Victoria Day which occurs on the prior Monday.

In literature and music
The southeastern U.S. celebrates Decoration Day as a day to decorate the graves of all family members, and it is not reserved for those who served in the military. The region observes Decoration Day the Sunday before Memorial Day. Jason Isbell of the rock band Drive-By Truckers chronicled such an event in his epic ballad "Decoration Day," which is also the title cut to the eponymous album.

Charles Ives's symphonic poem "Decoration Day" depicts the holiday as he experienced it in his childhood, with his father's band leading the way to the town cemetery, the playing of Taps on a trumpet, and a livelier march tune on the way back to the town. It is frequently played with three other Ives works based on holidays as the second movement of A New England Holidays Symphony. Memorial Day USA
I am going to post this tribute to our war dead, to my sons and all our men and women serving and those that have served in the past. I have to take some time out for a cook out etc. before my better half revolts but I will try to stop in on occasion. You all have a nice day!

Bill Maher: "Barack Obama Is One Efficient, Steely-Nerved, Multitasking, Black Ninja Gangster President"

This is great and right on: Bill Maher: Maher began by expanding on his view that Republicans don’t do what they say they do well very well at all:

“9/11 happened on your watch, and you retaliated by invading the wrong country, and you lost a ten-year game of hide and seek with Osama bin Laden.”

…but this segment was more about questions. Questions like, “How many Muslims does a black guy have to kill in one weekend before crackers climb down off his ass?” Or like, “Why focus on the terrorists who reduced Wall Street to rubble when you can help Wall Street reduce the whole country to rubble?” Or there was the following line, which…we don’t even know:

“Why can’t you just admit that Barack Obama is one efficient, steely-nerved, multitasking, black ninja gangster president?”

The segment was something of a mixed bag…one bit, involving Maher reciting facts while a graphic reading “FACTS” flashed on the bottom of the screen (in order to warn certain viewers who may be scared of facts), was so absurdly, intentionally on-the-nose we couldn’t resist it. And there was even a bit of balance – the “FACTS” graphic was essentially a Fox News dig, and Maher took a (slight) jab at MSNBC shortly thereafter. " thought it was great"

Ultimately, though, this segment was about political parties, not awkward references to skin color, and in a fitting cap to a segment featuring so many questions, near the end, Maher posed another:

“30 percent of this country will always vote Republican. I’m just asking why.” from newsvine I thought it was hilarious, right on, and pointed out exactly why to not vote Republican and why Obama should and will be reelected in 2012.

Analysis: The Islamist vision of post-revolutionary Egypt' Egypt sectarian deaths slammed amid civil war fear

Cairo tense after religious clashes

Egypt sectarian deaths slammed amid civil war fear

US condemns sectarian violence in Egypt

analysis: The Islamist vision of post-revolutionary Egypt

Egypt's Christians Continue Protests Against Sectarian Violence

I have to admit that when I first heard of the Sectarian violence on the streets of Cairo, Muslims against Coptic Christians I was very concerned. I was more concerned when I heard tanks were deployed on the streets of Cairo. However, they are not to be used against the citizens to lord over them. This is not Libya! They are merely to quell the Sectarian violence which I feel is promulgated by Islamists.

I still have faith in the Egyptian Army. Egypt's army has strong connections with the US military and our Government. Until I see otherwise I have faith that they are going to do the right thing for the people and the Democracy they want. There is unfounded concern that Egypt could become a Salafi State, a bastion of Sharia law. No way! Most families in Egypt have family members in the military. In Egypt they are in the military for life. The military is a reflection of it's citizens

They are average people in many cases. Yes many of the Generals benefit from illicitly from their positions but they are not Religious extremists and would not support it. You would need the support of the military especially if it is as strong as Egypt's. I remember in 2001 when the Taliban blew up the colossal Bamiyan Buddhas. I was horrified! Buddhas of Bamiyan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

That is not going to happen in Egypt. There are also unfounded concerns that the Muslim Brotherhood looking for 5 or 6 seats in the new Government but even they do not want Sharia law they want a place in a democracy. I think that is great. The people and the Army genuinely want their Democracy and I believe they will have it.

I remember when the people were first protesting they were embracing the Christians, they do not want to put them under their thumb or worse the way the Salafists do. They want a Democracy. In that Democracy the Pyramids and tourism play a very important role. Islamists have no place past or images only their own. The Islamists said they would not destroy the Pyramids, the sphinx, and other monuments but people do not believe it.

If a Democracy is to be in Egypt it needs the military's backing and the industry that is their heritage. The people will control their destiny in Egypt if any of the countries currently in turmoil do God willing. I do not share the concerns that Islamists will get in control of the Government and the people. This is not Afghanistan.

Taliban suicide bomber kills 6 more faithful Muslims in a hospital learning to be Doctors, wake up Islam extremists are your enemy

Suicide bomber kills at least six in Kabul hospital

The Taliban says two members carried out suicide attacks at the hospital

Pakistan stops NATO supplies after 16 people killed in blast

Pakistani civillian killed in attack on US vehicles in Peshawar

You listen to it daily. They continue on a daily basis to kill civilians more than NATO soldiers.

Wake up you faithful honest Muslims the extremists are your enemy not your saviors. They are killing you, they are your worst enemy. Stand up, get rid of them, Al Qaeda, Taliban, and all extremists, they are the enemies of true Islam. They have hijacked Islam for their and Bin Laden's personal vendetta against the west.

The 1980s mujahideen, the Taliban and the shifting idea of jihad It is not Jihad it is Islam hijacked just like we have with perverted Christianity on our side.

Pakistan Taliban warns of retaliation: Al Jazeera has obtained exclusive footage that appears to show the group vowing revenge for Osama bin Laden's death. This makes absolutely no sense knowing Bin Laden betrayed them but will gain new terrorism converts which is the only goal.True Islam is thanking us!

Knowing this and it will grow around the world as Bin Laden followers continue his vendetta I want to remind you or our discussion with a personal friend of his. Letter written by Noman Benotman, a former commander in the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group who fought beside Osama against Russia! He wrote this 8 months ago but you have to read what a real lover of Islam feels about the betrayal and dishonor Bin Laden has brought to his people and Islam.

The terrorist who said no to Bin Laden:You have lost your way! You are messing around with the DNA of Islam itself. I was impressed when I saw this interview on TV. It is obvious this man was a key high level player before 9/11 and was in on the meeting running up to it. This discussion was about an open letter written by Noman Benotman, a former commander in the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) and a former associate of Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri.

In al Qaeda strategy meetings in Kandahar in 2000, Benotman warned the al-Qaeda leadership of ‘total failure' to realize their aims and called on bin Laden and al-Zawahiri to abandon violence. As you know they did not and he is out for good reason. He was at the high level meeting running up to 9/11, the Davos or terrorism and said no to Osama you will be defeated, this is not about Islam this is not Jihad.

He came out and said no this must stop. We are not winning and I was right. We have betrayed Islam. We are killing the very people and cause we were supposed to be fighting for. Knowing our response to past attacks they thought our response would be 200 missiles or so, so they took the chance. Needless to say they did more damage and killed more people than they thought they would and this is just beginning unless the Islamists quit because we must fight for our lives.

Noman Benotman loves and respects Bin Laden but like Al Zawahiri Al Qaeda number two he does not think Bin Laden was very smart. However, he does not have to be. He got this so called Jihad going and has incited the Islamist rancor he intended. whether he's Dead or alive the battle on. For Islamists this has taken on a life of its own. In reality Bin Laden is the greatest enemy of his people.

Bin Laden is solely responsible for all this war death and destruction. He's no frigging hero to Muslims. They should hunt him down themselves and end this! Noman considered himself a freedom fighter and he was. He fought alongside Bin Laden against the Russians but said these wars have nothing to do with Islam. It is purely political and it is time to lay down arms, 100% and end all this senseless violence.

We know this but Noman says Al Qaeda and now Islamists of all stripes offers meaning to those who have none and gives them a cause but has nothing to do with Islam or Jihad. This all boils down to communications and I agree but Islamists are not interested in communicating. They are interested in our destruction. violence is their communication.

Bin Ladenists stop bring shame on Islam. Stop killing your own people. Stop bring death and destruction on them. Bin Laden forsook Mullah Omar who invited him into Afghanistan to give him protection. Bin Laden used Afghanistan for his own personal war against the west, the US, and Israel. This is not Islam , this is not Jihad. Restore Muslim integrity, end this now! An Open Letter to Osama bin Laden -- by Noman Benotman

* Osama Bin Laden is now dead, he has betrayed Islam and defamed and betrayed Muslims and their religion. His personal vendetta against the west will continue fueled by his death and fought by extremists who have nothing else to do. Fighting the west gives them a purpose. If it is to stop Islam must step up and police itself.

Netanyahu wants war not peace, Palestinians to head to the UN Reaction split over Israeli PM speech

Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas on Wednesday slammed a speech by Israel's prime minister and said the Palestinians would seek UN recognition if peace talks don't resume. Israel will never agree to share Jerusalem period and will resort to war period, especially knowing the US will come to their rescue and it bothers me. This is really getting old!

I wrote about it numerous times, to hell with Israel they are the problem. Netanyahu does not want peace until he gets everything he wants which includes all of Jerusalem. We have to take care of our own and let them hang themselves. Ahmadinejad was right in one thing when he said years ago that is Europe and the US felt so bad for what happened to the Jews in ww2 they should have given them part of their country. We would have no problem then. We are as guilty as them for not enforcing UN resolution 181. UN Resolution 181 that was established in 1947.
Make them go back to it and call it a frigging day!

I have been sick of Israel's lying about wanting a compromise, a two state solution. Ehud Barak had a viable solution Benjamin Netanyahu shot down. Netanyahu's lies to provoke and prolong this impasse holds the day. I am sick of this crap, I am sorry!

Israel's leader does not want to share Jerusalem

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the issue of settlements as a "marginal" part of peace talks and said he was glad the United States had abandoned its demand for a renewed freeze. BS, it is integral and proof Netanyahu does not want peace but all of Jerusalem!

Lack of a peace solution to the Israeli crisis we created keeps being blamed on the Palestinians and I for one am quite sick of it! Israel could lease Palestinian lands in exchange for Palestinian statehood: report I am thinking this can be done after all my apprehension. With Palestine rebuffing Iran, Iran would be the one left out in the cold however Israel does not want this to succeed. Leave Israel to her own demise, I am sick of the lies!

They say that Palestinian refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state shows they are not serious about two-state solution. What about Israel's refusal to go back to 1967 borders, to stop building settlements, or to let Palestine have a homeland free of Jews if they want? What about UN resolution 181 established in 1947?

PLO wants map from US with future Israeli border Can you blame them? It will never happen though because we are Israel's lap dog.

Vice Prime Minister and Strategic Affairs Minister Moshe Ya'alon said that he saw "no chance of reaching a peace deal with the Palestinians in the near future". There is no way in hell ever because neither side really wants it. They want the other subversive, end of discussion.

"In the eyes of Palestinians, the occupation began in '48 and not in '67," Ya'alon told Army Radio. "Not only Hamas thinks this – Abu Mazen [Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas does too." I think that too! I refuse to believe we took it upon ourselves to displace the Palestinians and give their land to the Jews in 1948 because we felt bad for them.

I reiterate: Palestinians for their part are doing their share for peace but it is futile: They are willing to let Israel control the wailing wall and just want East Jerusalem as their capital but there is no way in hell Israel is going to give that up as they swear it belongs to them. It does not belong to them. They do not want peace unless they get everything they want and they will not. This will only end in war and we will be dragged in. That is why Bush ignored Afghanistan to get into the Middle East. Right from the get go helping Israel against Iran was the goal.

Again I reiterate there will never be peace in the Middle East, period!Israel wants it her way and Iran/Syria want Israel obliterated, period, seems like peace is in Palestinian hands and depends on how much they are willing to bend because Israel will not. Israel and Iran have long been in preparation for this confrontation. As you know, when asked by a journalist how he felt upon returning to Iran in 1979 after 15 years in exile. Khomeini’s curt, one-word reply was “nothing” Whoa! From day one of his return to Iran Khomeini expressed no love for Iran only a love of the atom bomb. The drive even then was to possess a nuclear weapon though that desire is still denied until Iran can get their hands on one.

On the other side there is Israel who will give nothing and expects Palestinians to give up everything! I realized a long time ago that Israel is the world's chief war monger and we seem to do their bidding and fighting. If they get into a war with Iran we will end up coming to their rescue regardless of what they do or what is said or done and that is sad! We should in fact take care of Jewish American's and American's and our interests in Israel and otherwise tell them in no uncertain terms they are on their own if they continue to instigate war not peace and expecting us to come to their rescue.

* The ball is in Israel's court and I do not like what they are doing with it as they want to hold the ball till they get their way. Well the heck with them, we have given enough!

NATO Bombs Tripoli in Heaviest Strikes Yet as Libyan Rebel Council to Open Office in Washington and Obama, Cameron predict success in Libya

NATO Bombs Tripoli in Heaviest Strikes Yet

Tripoli attacked for second night Russia is not happy as this will not work and is not what they signed on for.

Libyan Rebel Council to Open Office in Washington

Obama, Cameron predict success in Libya: Predicting success in Libya, President Barack Obama said Wednesday that Moammar Gadhafi would ultimately be forced to step down if NATO keeps up its military campaign with the U.S. playing a key role. They are warning Gaddafi to step down but you can be guaranteed he will not. He will kill as many as possible until they kill or capture him and then others will continue his end until this gets much worse and spreads and many interests will make sure it does.

MUAMMAR Gaddafi's regime is on the run, a NATO official says, as alliance jets blasted Libya's capital and Russia slammed the blitz of Tripoli as a "grave departure" from UN resolutions. Gaddafi is not on the run he has yet to begin to fight, remember? Also Russia is right and we are going to pay dearly for it in many respects.

Glad to see this is going the way of the rebels and wonder what Libya and the region will look like without Gaddafi? That said it sickens me that we have frozen multiple $Billions of Gaddafi's assets and the rebels have been selling oil so I refuse to believe they are looking for funding. Stupid us will give it to them to. At the very least they should be given Gaddafi's Billions and should be paying us for the personnel and materials used in our efforts to help them acquire their freedom.

We are beginning to recognize the rebel Government more and more and more of the world are coming forward and speaking up against Gaddafi., that I am afraid means we are in this for the long haul and will have to come to the rescue if this goes south instead of leaving the rebels to their own demise. I am very concerned because this is not just Libya, this is all the tribes in the region many of who are right now recieving $1000 a day to fight for Gaddafi. I am convinced the end of Gaddafi is just the beginning of this mess.

I am afraid this is just beginning unless we can kill them all and we can't so WTF are we doing there? We can't go in Osama style with seal team 6. Our only option is to get the hell out of there and supply the rebels with arms food money and medicine unless Gaddafi tries to mine the sea ports again. I said it when we first got involved in Libya but this whole thing just blows me away. Then there is Syria, Iran, and the rest of the middle east and Africa.

I said from the beginning in Libya that if we are serious we had to go directly after Tripoli and Gaddafi's extensive military assets there. We are finally doing that. If there was a way to totally neutralize Gaddafi's heavy weapons and defenses those rebels may stand a chance. Still, remembering Gaddafi's original statement that many thousands will be killed I am afraid he is getting closer to using his cyanide, mustard gas and vast reserves of chemical weapons.

Gaddafi already issued gas masks to those doing his murdering for him. What choice will we have but to drop a MOAB (mother of all bombs) or a 30,000 pound bunker buster in the middle of his compound designed to dig 7 or 8 stories underground before detonating and take as many of them out as we can. They are not going to relent period. We can not get any deeper than we are so I am happy to see the rebels making gains but leery with Gaddafi forces encroaching on Tunisia and attempting to widen thus war or whatever you want to call it..

Osama Bin Laden had to be assassinated to protect the United State's and Pakistan secrets

Bin Laden journal reveals his calculations for another 9/11-style attack

Bin Laden Journal Discusses Terror Operations

WaPo: Bin Laden Remained Focused on US, Became 'Lazy and Complacent' It was not complacency it was cockiness!

More than 10 years in he was still at the helm running the show in his personal vendetta against the west. He wanted to expand his perverted Jihad against the US and urged all Muslim's and minorities to go after railroad's and small towns. Knowing that some in inter service intelligence agency and in the Pakistan Government were complicit from the get go and our Government knew that Osama Bin Laden had to be killed.

Eulogies and fury: Jihadists eager to avenge bin Laden's death Now is the time to open this wide open before the extremists have a chance to take the lead on this. I would rather be on the offense not the defense.

We have discussed many times since 9/11 how interests in Pakistan's inter service intelligence agency was aiding Osama Bin Laden and even paying Mohamed Atta and crew $100,000 days before the attack on the twin towers. the 9/11 movie "a press for truth", hidden facts about helping Osama Bin Laden

Noman Benotman loves and respects Bin Laden but like Al Zawahiri Al Qaeda number two he did not think Bin Laden was very smart. However, he did not have to be. He got this so called Jihad going and has incited the Islamist rancor he intended. whether he's Dead or alive the battle is on. For Islamists this has taken on a life of its own. Bin Laden is solely responsible for all this war death and destruction. He's no frigging hero to Muslims. They should have hunted him down themselves and ended this! Noman considered himself a freedom fighter and he was. He fought alongside Bin Laden against the Russians but said these wars have nothing to do with Islam. It is purely political and it is time to lay down arms, 100% and end all this senseless violence.

We know this but Noman says to Al Qaeda and now Islamists of all stripes the vendetta offers meaning to those who have none and gives them a cause but has nothing to do with Islam or Jihad. This all boils down to communications and I agree but Islamists are not interested in communicating. They are interested in our destruction. violence is their communication.

Osama id dead now so the message goes to Osama's followers: Stop bringing shame on Islam. Stop killing your own people. Stop bringing death and destruction on them. Osama forsook Mullah Omar who invited him into Afghanistan to give him protection. Bin Laden used Afghanistan for his own personal war against the west, the US, and Israel. This is not Islam , this is not Jihad. Restore Muslim integrity, end this now!

Yeah he was still in control, keeping a journal, and absolutely never expecting to get caught and killed in a thought to be safe area surrounded by military and retired ISI and Government officials. I am sure everyone is running for cover now so we better move quick as we did on Anwar al-Awlaki. We have stirred up a hornet's nest of extremists around the world. It is time for us to put it in overdrive and take advantage of the vast wealth of information gathered at Bin Laden's compound.

Libya rebels take diplomatic push to Turkey, Russia, the noose continues to tighten

France, NATO to deploy helicopters in Libya: source The French source said the move could not be considered as part of a strategy to use ground troops in the conflict. NATO also says shelling Libya's military assets from their naval ships is also a possibility so I have to wonder when boots on the ground will be necessary and whose they will be. We are getting reeled in and I do not like this!

Daily life begins to return to MISRATA: Less than two weeks after wresting itself free from a brutal siege and pushing Moammar Gadhafi's forces out of rocket range, the rebel-held city of Misrata is taking its first steps toward normalcy. The city, the only major urban center in western Libya under rebel control, was ...

NATO bombs Libya; rebels seek EU funding Glad to see this is going the way of the rebels and wonder what Libya and the region will look like without Gaddafi? That said it sickens me that we have frozen multiple $Billions of Gaddafi's assets and the rebels have been selling oil so I refuse to believe they are looking for funding. Stupid us will give it to them to. At the very least they should be given Gaddafi's Billions and should be paying us for the personnel and materials used in our efforts to help them acquire their freedom.

Libya rebels take diplomatic push to Turkey, Russia: Earlier this month Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged Moamer Kadhafi to "immediately" cede power and leave Libya. In Moscow, a rebel representative was due to hold talks with Foreign Minister Minister Sergei Lavrov a week after the top Russia diplomat met emissaries of Kadhafi.

Osama bin Laden killing could justify killing Col Gaddafi: No way! What the hell is wrong with us? Where the hell are we going with this?

Osama bin Laden killing could justify killing Col Gaddafi

There is no way in hell! What the heck have we come to? Osama Bin Laden was a unique case and his vendetta against the west is only increasing since his assassination and it will get much worse. Pakistan Taliban warns of retaliation: Al Jazeera has obtained exclusive footage that appears to show the group vowing revenge for Osama bin Laden's death. This makes absolutely no sense knowing Bin Laden betrayed them but will gain new terrorism converts which is the only goal

Osama Bin Laden was by his own decree America's number one enemy. He perpetrated 9/11 the worst attack on American soil in History and vowed to do worse still. Even in death he will do his damnedest to do worse. It was right for us to kill him. I do not understand though how anyone can compare the justification of killing Osama Bin Laden to justifying killing Moamar Gaddafi.

There is no comparison period! What the hell is wrong with us? We are not in the business of assassinating leaders who do not do our bidding or are we? Yes I agree we owe Gaddafi for personally ordering the bombing of Pan Am flight 103 over Lockerbie Scotland that killed 270, mostly American's. Pan Am flight 103 Wikipedia I do believe we should press ahead with legal proceedings on that issue but even that does not justify assassination by us.

I firmly disagree with Gaddafi murdering thousands of his own people because they want their freedom and ordering his mercenaries to rape as many of their women as possible. Gaddafi and even his family has earned the ire of his own people, "his own people". I said from day one that Gaddafi will not stop killing as many as he possibly can before he is taken out.

It is up to the rebels or one of his confidants to take out Gaddafi but assassinating him will do nothing. His entire family and all of his followers willow have to be taken out.

You know I firmly believe we should drop a MOAB (mother of all bombs) or a 30,000 pound bunker buster in the middle of his compound designed to dig 7 or 8 stories underground before detonating and take as many of them out as we can. They are not going to relent period. In this current situation Gaddafi is guilty of committing crimes against humanity, crimes against his people not ours.

In closing: There is absolutely no comparison between what Bin Laden did and what Gaddafi is currently doing unless we are looking for justification to assassinate him and impose our will once again. What the hell have we come to? What would this mean to the future of the unstable worlds stability?Think of the myriad of repercussions. Mind boggling! When are we going to draw the line?

The noose is tightening as fighting continues on Tunisian side of Libya Tunisia Border

Nato strikes hit eight warships at ports in Libya What I want to know is what took so damn long?

Toughing it out: When the Libyan government announced plans earlier this week to deploy human shields to protect telecommunications sites from Nato bombing, it quickly prompted comparisons with Saddam Hussein's past tactics in Iraq. It smacked too of desperation Sounds like they are using human sacrifices as you know NATO will not stop in fact they have gone so far they can not.

Libya: gunmen on both sides should withdraw from cities I could agree with that if there was an independent force on the ground that could verify for once that Libya was being honest.

South Africa's top diplomat charged Friday that Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi fed South Africa misinformation about a journalist whose death in the north African country weeks ago has just been confirmed. South African foreign minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane told ... His death at the hands of Gaddafi forces was confirmed by photographers who saw him shot in the stomach and killed by Gaddafi forces once they were safe outside the country themselves.

Gaddafi's fall from power inevitable says Obama: Only Muammar Gaddafi's exit from power will allow Libya a democratic transition and the clock is ticking on his four-decade rule, U.S. President Barack Obama said.

European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton pledged support for rebels in east Libya on Sunday, making the most senior visit to the area by a foreign official since a revolt against Muammar Gaddafi began. Her visit was to open an EU representative office.

NATO widens air strike attack on Libya: NATO widens campaign to weaken Muammar Gaddafi's regime with air strikes on desert command centers and sea patrols to intercept ships, the military alliance said on Saturday amid growing anger over fuel shortages in government territory.

We are beginning to recognize the rebel Government more and more, that I am afraid means we are in this for the long haul and will have to come to the rescue if this goes south instead of leaving the rebels to their own demise.

I am afraid this is just beginning unless we can kill them all and we can't so WTF are we doing there? We can't go in Osama style with seal team 6. Denmark to lay claim to North Pole joining Russia, the US, Canada, and Norway

Denmark to lay claim to North Pole: DENMARK which already counts Greenland and the Faroe Islands as its Arctic territories, is planning to lay claim to the North Pole. This will put Denmark on a collision course with Russia, the US, Canada and Norway but they all better make a share deal and avoid conflict over this.

I wanted to discuss that in 2007 when Russia declared that it had successfully planted their flag at the bottom of the Arctic claiming it as Russian territory Russia was disturbed that Canada the US and others dismissed it as a joke saying that is worthless in the 21st Century. Myself I wasn't as sure as it seems like a scary ratcheting up of the race for future resources and world domination. Well attitudes are changing when recent events are taken into account. I am sure Denmark's joining this venture will simply be dismissed.

It has been noted that Russian nostalgia for past greatness has been seen stretching from the North Pole to the Mediterranean via the Caucasus. First the Russians planted a flag on the bottom of the Arctic. Then they promised to return to the Mediterranean. .

Russia's Mediterranean plans pale in comparison with its audacious foray into the Arctic where they collected soil samples and planted the Russian flag two and a half miles below the sea. The official purpose of this first-ever manned mission was "to prove that the North Pole is an extension of the Russian coastal shelf." Geologists say the region could have big oil, gas and mineral reserves. Massive oil reserves is more like it!

Knowing that the Arctic features prominently in Russian Imperial mythology and the rising desire for Russia to regain prominence as a world power you have to be very concerned about this and Canada now is. Canada's prime minister went on a three-day trip to the Arctic in an effort to assert sovereignty over the region a week after Russia symbolically staked a claim to the North Pole by sending submarines.

Five countries -- Canada, Russia, the United States, Norway and Denmark -- are competing to secure subsurface rights to the Arctic seabed. One study by the U.S. Geological Survey estimates the Arctic has as much as 25 percent of the world's undiscovered oil and gas. PM Harper, who has pledged to spend billions defending Canada's sovereignty over the Arctic, is said "Economic development -- unleashing the resource-based potential of the North, environmental protection -- protecting the unique Northern environment, national sovereignty -- protecting our land, airspace and territorial waters were his priorities.

" In response to the building interest in the shelf Canada's PM Harper announced that six to eight new patrol ships would be built to guard the Northwest Passage sea route in the Arctic, which the United States insists does not belong to Canada. Canadian PM vowed in 2007 to defend Arctic

U.S. Ambassador David Wilkins had criticized Harper's promise to defend the Arctic, calling the Northwest Passage "neutral waters." This is all very troubling as we watch the ratcheting up of tensions around the world as we try to move into the future. The increased militarism around the world is tenuous but throw all the recent developments in with what is shaping up to be a fight over the Arctic and its resources which will only serve to ecologically destroy another very important part of the Ocean's and world's ecosystem in what is increasingly appearing in trouble.

Denmark's interest and claim is also old. The scramble for the Arctic also gathered pace in 2007 as Denmark prepared to challenge Russia's bid for the North Pole and Canada vowed to defend its "sovereignty" over the region's frozen waters. Boy are they getting desperate! Over the next month they searched for evidence that the Lomonosov Ridge, a 1,200-mile, underwater mountain range running close to the Pole, is a geographical extension of Greenland, a Danish possession. The mission it was felt would strain relations between Denmark and Russia, which claims to have found evidence linking the ridge to Siberia. Both countries will seek adjudication from a United Nations commission in the next few years that could award a large swathe of Arctic territory to the country with the most compelling case. The scramble for the arctic The time is coming closer!

Netanyahu 'no' dashes hopes of Palestinian peace talks: Palestinians set on UN statehood bid in September as UN, EU, Russia back Obama's Mideast 'vision'

US, Israel Differ on Peace Plan; Palestinians Seek UN Help: Palestinians say they will move ahead with plans to seek U.N. recognition of a state in the West Bank

UN, EU, Russia back Obama's Mideast 'vision'

Palestinians set on UN statehood bid in September That would ratchet this up for sure. Remember when Obama said he wanted an independent Palestine to join the UN? We could take this out of Israel's hands. They will never agree to a two state solution with a shared Jerusalem. They believe it is all theirs period.

The only thing to do is to force the instigating war mongers Israel to adhere to 181 or leave them to their own demise and Iran would see to it. You know, first reading how Israel and Palestine was allotted their territories in 1948 I do not condone that Israel has not been forced to adhere to that resolution. We, the US Britain and Europe especially are as guilty as Israel for not insisting Israel adhere to UN Resolution 181.

You know I say often that we are Israel's lap dog, her pit Bull that will do the fighting for her when she gets in trouble. Israel I came to realize is the worlds chief warmonger and the US the enforcer. It became obvious that coming to Israel's rescue would be how the US has the excuse to go after Iran. No bargaining make Israel adhere to UN resolution 181, no alternative! It is more than fair and equitable. We could help Israel from there and kill that indefensible argument.

The Israel, Palestinian, Iran, Syria, Middle East issue will never be resolved peacefully Knowing that I have to agree with Ahmadinejad when he said if the US and Europe felt so bad for what happened to the Jews during WW2 then they should have given them part of their country.

The best we could hope for is an adherence to UN resolution 181. That will never happen either and all I can see is a total Middle East breakdown that Bush guaranteed when he attacked Iraq to help Israel set up their buffer zone. If the Iranian Revolutionary Guard interfere with the Israeli Blockade of Gaza as they have offered to do it will guarantee war with Iran, take the heat off Iran and the dissidents protesting the corrupt regime, guarantee US involvement and worse. There will never be peace in the Middle East period unless there is a return to the original borders set in UN resolution 181! Force these SOB's I am sick of this!

Netanyahu at the White House: Netanyahu says the US does not understand but the problem is we do, the problem is Israel!

Divisions Clear as Netanyahu and Obama Discuss Peace Obama says we must return to pre 1967 borders and Netanyahu says absolutely no way, they call that a start, sounds like the end to me.

Obstacles to peace, Borders and settlements: The modern Israeli state was forged in the fires of the first Middle East war in 1948-1949, but from the beginning it was a state without clear borders. The fact that complete, permanent borders still have not yet been drawn around Israel 60 years later is testimony to the rancor of its relations with neighboring Arab states.

Obama speech: Mid-East reaction It was generally accepted favorably if you read the link with the exception that the violent suppression of Syria with the aid of Iran not being addressed.

Israeli gamesmanship at the fore in WH meeting

Arab League calls for action on Palestinian statehood: Arab League chief Amr Moussa called on U.S. President Barack Obama to follow through with his support for a Palestinian state based on Israel's 1967 borders, Egypt's state news agency MENA said on Friday. Netanyahu wants an apology and calls the 1967 Border indefensible. It makes you think it is right to go back to the 1967 Borders but wonder why the Arab League wants a return to them or why they were established in the first place if they are indefensible.

Anyway, Netanyahu says the US does not understand but the problem is we do, It is Israel! Leaked documents released by al-Jazeera TV suggest Palestinian negotiators agreed to Israel keeping large parts of illegally occupied East Jerusalem. Whose side is Erakat on anyway? Erakat: This is part of campaign targeting the Palestinian Authority, Abbas refused to make far-reaching concessions on Jerusalem; Abbas: We have nothing to hide. What the hell do they call giving away Jerusalem? Nothing will make Israel happy! I am sick of this so called negotiation. No I am not Palestinian I just believe in honesty and fair play and we are seeing nothing but lies and deceit from the so called "chosen ones"

Erakat calls the documents a distortion Again I say Palestine has already given enough, whose side is he on?

The Palestinian's have given away enough. Israel will only be happy with Palestine as a subservient slave State and that will never go over with Iran and Syria. Resolution 181 that was established in 1947.

Netanyahu disavows Barak plan on sharing Jerusalem BS, it is integral and proof Netanyahu does not want peace but all of Jerusalem!

Again I reiterate there will never be peace in the Middle East, period! Israel wants it her way and Iran/Syria want Israel obliterated, period, seems like peace is in Palestinian hands and depends on how much they are willing to bend because Israel will not. * The ball is in Israel's court and I do not like what they are doing with it as they want to hold the ball till they get their way. Well the heck with them, we have given enough force their hand!

Obama Backs Deal between Israel and Palestine Based on 1967 Lines, Netanyahu cries foul

Syria: Assad regime denounces sanctions, says they serve Israel, Obama's speech proves Arab spring and everything in the middle east is about Israel

Troops deploy in Syrian village: Syrian troops backed by tanks deployed in a border village on Thursday, witnesses said, ignoring growing pressure from Washington, which imposed sanctions on President Bashar al-Assad for rights abuses. From the Lebanese village of Boqaya, Syrian soldiers could be seen across the border deploying ...

SYRIA: Assad regime denounces sanctions, says they serve Israel

Obama addressed the Arab spring and what he and Bashar Assad said put everything from Bush's attack on Iraq to get into the middle eat to democratize as many countries as he could and create a buffer zone for Israel into perspective. You know I am a big picture guy! You have to look at the full picture not just a snapshot.

Assad is right, sanctions against him and Syria are to help Israel. I now have to wonder why we are really backing all these middle east and African nations in their bids for Democracy. I now wonder who al our sanctions really benefit. yes hopefully they help those fighting for their freedom. Yes hopefully sanctions benefit us as we attempt to create an environment beneficial in coaxing current dictators to allow their citizens to have their Democracy. However I now think bottom line is to create good neighbors for Israel who must live with their Arab neighbors. It is the Persian Iran I worry about the most.

I thought that was another great speech Obama gave on expectations for the middle east but speaking about Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Bahrain, Syria, Israel Hamas, and Palestine it was all about Israel. I was impressed when He came out and said Israel must go back to the 1967 borders which I do not believe they will ever do but he is the first US President to take the right stance. Obama Backs Deal Based on 1967 Lines

As Obama Endorses '67 Borders, Netanyahu Objects Of course, they do not want a two state solution and they will never share Palestine.

As we discussed there is a rising cry around the world for Israel to return to 1967 borders but they do not care and never will, only Israel matters to them period!

The only thing to do is to force the instigating war mongers Israel to adhere to 181 or leave them to their own demise and Iran would see to it. You know, first reading how Israel and Palestine was allotted their territories in 1948 I do not condone that Israel has not been forced to adhere to that resolution. We, the US Britain and Europe especially are as guilty as Israel for not insisting Israel adhere to UN Resolution 181

Anyway our President's have been shoring up the dictators in the middle east as long as they do our bidding for a century. President Obama is the first one to come out and back the people not the dictators regardless of his motive. Bush started this middle east democratization and failed because he tried it by force. Obama will succeed because he is letting the people who want it take charge.

Bush failed to capture or kill Bin Laden because he was focused on Iraq, Iran, and creating a new middle east order for Israel. Obama focused on Bin Laden and got him while the people in Africa and the middle east worked on democratizing the middle east as they want it not us and that is the key. I have to be concerned about Iran because they are not and will not sit still for this.

In closing it is time to put this entire package called a new middle east "dis"order together and I believe Obama is the only US President who can do it. He must be reelected to work on it and he will be. The one feat that will elude him and the rest of the world that wants to see it happen is the implementation of a two state solution between Palestine and Israel. I do however see peace between those in the Arab spring and Israel as Democracy and getting along is their goal not Sharia law or Muslim Supremacy. Islamists are trying to keep Bin Laden's message alive but to those in the Arab spring the message died with Bin Laden.

Gaddafi's wife and daughter flee to Tunisia, this is big

Gaddafi's wife, daughter in Tunisia - source: The wife and daughter of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi crossed over the border into Tunisia several days ago, a Tunisian security source told Reuters. Gaddafi's wife Safia and his daughter Aisha came to Tunisia with a Libyan delegation, the source said. Can you blame them?

High profile defections in Libya gaining momentum, it is really looking like Gaddafi's regime is going down. NATO is stepping up pressure on the Libyan government's strongholds with targeted aerial attacks and psychological warfare operations. Wing Commander Mike Bracken said Tuesday NATO has air-dropped leaflets and broadcast messages to troops loyal to Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi asking them "to return to their barracks and homes".

A Tunisian official told the German Press Agency dpa on Tuesday that Libyan Oil Minister Shukri Ghanem had crossed into Tunisia and was on the island of Djerba. The Tunisian official, who wished not to be named, said he did not know the purpose of Ghanem's stay upon Djerba, an island some 500 kilometers south of the capital Tunis, but that he had crossed into Tunisia late Monday.

The Tunisian state news agency TAP had reported on Monday that a number of Libyan officials were in Djerba in official meetings aimed at resolving the crisis in Libya. A Libyan official in Tripoli denied rumors that Ghanem may have defected and fled the country, telling dpa instead that he was on a diplomatic trip. Yeah a diplomatic trip all right, like all the rest of the military and Government officials jumping ship. I love it!

Russia has called on Libya to stop using force against civilians and fully comply with UN resolutions. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who met two envoys of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi in Moscow, said the answer "cannot be called negative"
Okay I'm impressed.

A network of high profile Libyan defectors, including the former regime stalwart Moussa Koussa, are helping Nato to destroy Muammar Gaddafi's military sites, including bunker complexes from which much of the war has been run, according to senior officials in Libya. Nato planners have stepped up their operations over the capital, Tripoli, and the western mountains in recent days,

Three more Libyan military officers have defected from Moamer Gaddafi's regime and escaped by boat to Tunisia, state-run Tunisian news agency TAP reported Monday, citing unnamed Tunisian officials. 'Such defections have occurred several times in recent days, with an influx of defectors coming to Tunisia by sea,' the official said.

I am stupefied that Gaddafi and in this case his envoys insist NATO and the rebels must also stop targeting civilians. They are protecting the citizens that's what much of this is all about. Gaddafi is putting targets on his own supporters back to force NATO and the rebels to kill them to get at him, his weapons, and his murderers. We now have proof.

Gaddafi is also issuing Viagra to his murderers instructing them to rape and impregnate as many women as possible. Several hundred women are so far known to be raped in this way. These people call themselves Muslims? That religion was founded under great principles that most Muslims adhere to. The more I hear about the perversion of Islam to practice murder, rape, and other practices against everyone's laws the more I am sickened that the wider the problem seems to be.

Many see an impasse but I do not as long as we can make life miserable for those that support Gaddafi. Keep pointing out that the coward has built his destruction structure underneath places where they live their daily lives. He points out we are bombing playgrounds, Imam's, and hospitals but the scum is hiding underneath them. The people can end this and now. Take the Gaddafi's out!

It really looks like Gaddafi's Libya is going to unravel, knowing how volatile that country is going to be you really have to wonder what kind of hell Libya is going to be. Once again am going to say be careful what you ask for you may get it and you know what you have but you don't know what you're going to get!
