6 Years ago we had a particularly bad climate report and it got me on to the subject of fresh water which amongst many things has become a pet peeve. Of late the question has been posed often as to why would oil, energy, and other corporations destroy the planet and ruin our fresh water supply when they too depended on it. Then I remembered why.

Climate Report's are increasingly dire but after discussing it with you, the poor getting hit and the rich fleeing to South America which has been the case for years made perfect sense!

We discussed the growing apocalyptic climate situation. During the course of discussion I learned an awful lot that really makes sense now that I see the dire predictions and how they will affect the worlds poor, ours included. political semantics aside just look at this and what I learned from you.

The world faces increased hunger and water shortages in the poorest countries and even in the richest, massive floods and avalanches in Asia, natural and man made catastrope's around the world, and species extinction unless nations adapt to climate change and halt its progress "you know it never will" according to a report approved by an international conference on global warming. I hate to say it but I do not see a 100% turn around changing anything in time but we still must do it.!

"People who are poor are least able to adapt to climate change.The report said up to 30 percent of species face an increased risk of vanishing if global temperatures rise 3.6 degrees above the average in the 1980s and 1990s.

The world will face heightened threats of flooding, severe storms and the erosion of coastlines.This is a glimpse into an apocalyptic future the Greenpeace environmental group said of the final report. "You and I know it is here already"

Man's livable habitat will shrink starkly, said Stephen Schneider, a Stanford scientist who was one of the authors. "Don't be poor in a hot country, don't live in hurricane alley, watch out about being on the coasts or in the Arctic, and it's a bad idea to be on high mountains with glaciers melting."

We discussed yesterday the fact that a worsened return to the Dust bowl in America is forecast. We already are experiencing more severe storms with human and economic loss, and cultural and social disruptions.We are also already experiencing more hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, droughts, heat waves and wildfires. Knowing this is already happening it makes sense now what I learned from some of you but in a minute please!

We also learned and this only makes sense, that Africa will be hardest hit. By 2020, up to 250 million people are likely to be exposed to water shortages. In some countries, food production could fall by half, it said. Knowing the cries around the world already to increase aid and help to the starving people of Africa this is telling and Dire news indeed. We also know that Parts of Asia are threatened with massive flooding and avalanches from melting Himalayan glaciers. Europe and Australia will be greatly affected from even moderate increases in sea temperatures and changing temperatures as we already see.

That does make me remember that when I was in College a Woman who was a survivalist wanted me to go with her to Nova Scotia because it was believed even then that, that would be one of the only areas spared. Now that brings me to what some people brought to my attention and to put 2 and 2 together.

I have heard here half jokingly that Bush had purchased 3,000 acres in Paraguay and after he screwed up America he was going to flee to Paraguay.
Then someone educated me as to what sits under Bush's little Paraguayan Paradise. the Guarani Aquifer!

After learning this I found out The Guaraní Aquifer System (SAG) is one of the world´s most important fresh groundwater reservoirs, due to its extension (1,200,000 km2) and its volume (40,000 km3). The SAG is shared by four countries: Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay (South America), which use this resource for various purposes with different exploitation levels. GUARANI AQUIFER SYSTEM

After I found this all out I was told that Ted Turner recently bought 37.000 hectares (1 Hectare = 2.471 Acres)from Argentina and they have sold a ton of their land to the rich who were buying up land in water. Hearing the news from the report and that it would affect the poor and our water and food supplies the most it all dawned on me.

The rich are destroying the world for their profit and while the rest of us are doomed to try and survive in the mess they created for their financial gain they will flee to relatively safe areas with protected underground water sources and they will be protected to start over again.  Drought And Heat Waves Are Costing The Federal Government Billions In Crop Insurance Payouts: According to the report, released Tuesday by the Natural Resources Defence Council, the Federal Crop Insurance Program paid out a record $17.3 billion in insurance claims to farmers in 2012, just one year after the program set a record at $10.8 billion in claims in 2011.

 Climate change played a large role in these historic payments — in 2012, 80 percent of all payments made by the FCIP were for farmers whose crops had been lost to heat, drought or high wind, according to the NRDC. Many Midwestern states were hit even harder by these impacts...

In 1989, when “climate change” had just entered the public lexicon, 63 percent of Americans understood it was a problem. Almost 25 years later, that proportion is actually a bit lower, at 58 percent.

Climate change 'should be elevated beyond a scientific debate to a US national security concern', say the authors, Peter Schwartz, CIA consultant and former head of planning at Royal Dutch/Shell Group, and Doug Randall of the California-based Global Business Network.

An imminent scenario of catastrophic climate change is 'plausible and would challenge United States national security in ways that should be considered immediately', they conclude. As early as next year widespread flooding by a rise in sea levels will create major upheaval for millions. A group of eminent UK scientists recently visited the White House to voice their fears over global warming, part of an intensifying drive to get the US to treat the issue seriously.

Sources have told The Observer that American officials appeared extremely sensitive about the issue when faced with complaints that America's public stance appeared increasingly out of touch.

One even alleged that the White House had written to complain about some of the comments attributed to Professor Sir David King, Tony Blair's chief scientific adviser, after he branded the President's position on the issue as indefensible.

Among those scientists present at the White House talks were Professor John Schellnhuber, former chief environmental adviser to the German government and head of the UK's leading group of climate scientists at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research. He said that the Pentagon's internal fears should prove the 'tipping point' in persuading Bush to accept climatic change.

Sir John Houghton, former chief executive of the Meteorological Office - and the first senior figure to liken the threat of climate change to that of terrorism - said: 'If the Pentagon is sending out that sort of message, then this is an important document indeed.'

Bob Watson, chief scientist for the World Bank and former chair of the intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, added that the Pentagon's dire warnings could no longer be ignored. 'Can Bush ignore the Pentagon? Why not? It won't be the first time but It's going be hard to blow off this sort of document. Its hugely embarrassing. After all, Bush's single highest priority is national defence.

 The Pentagon is no wacko, liberal group, generally speaking it is conservative. If climate change is a threat to national security and the economy, then he has to act. There are two groups the Bush Administration tend to listen to, the oil lobby and the Pentagon,' added Watson.

'You've got a President who says global warming is a hoax, and across the Potomac river you've got a Pentagon preparing for climate wars. It's pretty scary when Bush starts to ignore his own government said Rob Gueterbock of Greenpeace. Already, according to Randall and Schwartz, the planet is carrying a higher population than it can sustain.

 By 2020 'catastrophic' shortages of water and energy supply will become increasingly harder to overcome, plunging the planet into war. They warn that 8,200 years ago climatic conditions brought widespread crop failure, famine, disease and mass migration of populations that could soon be repeated.

Randall told The Observer that the potential ramifications of rapid climate change would create global chaos. 'This is depressing stuff,' he said. 'It is a national security threat that is unique because there is no enemy to point your guns at and we have no control over the threat.'

Randall added that it was already possibly too late to prevent a disaster happening. 'We don't know exactly where we are in the process. It could start tomorrow and we would not know for another five years,'he said.

'The consequences for some nations of the climate change are unbelievable. It seems obvious that cutting the use of fossil fuels would be worthwhile.'

So dramatic are the report's scenarios, Watson said, that they may prove vital in the US elections and that better mean election for Al Gore who knows climate change as a real problem.

Symons, who left the EPA in protest at political interference, said that the suppression of the report was a further instance of the White House trying to bury evidence of climate change. 'It is yet another example of why this government should stop burying its head in the sand on this issue.'

Symons said 'This administration is ignoring the evidence in order to placate a handful of large energy and oil companies,' he added.

I have to say that those who have read my articles on the state of the planet know these observations might not be pleasant but I am afraid it is as bad as all that.

There are no surprises here! What is happening with our infrastructure and financial collapse, 9/11, the supposed Anthrax attacks, the lie called the Patriot Act to give Bush the power to subvert our American and world order to emplace his version, the attack on Afghanistan, the slide to Iraq to get into the middle east to help Israel install a buffer zone and new middle east order. It and more has all been done on purpose!

Katrina, everything, right under your complacent unsuspecting noses while those who saw the life long alcoholic failure for what he was right from the start have been forced to watch this fool and suffer along with the rest of you and the world. At this point this mess is just beginning and the timing of this manufactured storm coming to a head right now is no coincidence but a set up for failure for Obama so the right can get back in and finish us off and finish emplacing what they think will be their New World Order! There is enough documentation on our oil pipeline in Georgia to circumvent Russia and our efforts to go to war with Russia while once again lying and saying we only want peace but just read that little item on Randy Scheunemann!

In the middle east we have been living a total lie from 9/11 on! You have not heard the truth once! Not on the events of 9/11,the Anthrax attacks which scared Congress to pass the so called Patriot Act and give Bush the abusive power he needed to attack Afghanistan for not allowing his pipeline through Afghanistan. The only remaining obstacle on 9-11 was the remaining agreement between the Taliban and Bridas Corporation. The Bush Administration, Congress, many in our major media, and even the 9-11 Commission and Cheney Energy Task Force all know about Bridas Corporation because that Argentine oil and gas company was standing in the way of our US oil companies and UK oil companies. The Caspian Basin oil is landlocked and there are only so many ways to get that oil out of the ground, to the ocean ports and into your gas tanks or home heating oil tanks.

What a coincidence huh? There is the direct route from Turkmenistan across Iran to the ocean, but that is not politically popular since the overthrow of the Shah of Iran many years ago. There is: 1.) the route across the Caspian Sea westward, which is extremely costly; and through Azerbaijan through Turkey to the Mediterranean; and 2.) from Turkmenistan through Georgia to the Black Sea; and 3.) through the Ukraine to Europe; and 4.) the Turkmenistan through Afghanistan and Pakistan to the ocean. Until one of those solutions was in place, the holes being drilled into the ground by British Petroleum, Chevron, Exxon and others could not go anywhere and could not produce revenues for those companies. A route northward through Russia would put US oil companies at risk to changes in Russian politics and the Eastward route through China was not deemed secure enough since China is soon to become the second largest user of petroleum in the world after the United States.

In short, the people that were in the Cheney Energy Task Force were the same people that stood to gain if we attacked Afghanistan and took the deal away from the Taliban and Bridas Corporation. They had spent years getting the deals, invested billions into drilling and could not turn a dollar of cash flow or profits until that pipeline was under US control. That is Economics 101 and when one considers that there is over $12 trillion in oil at stake and over $3 trillion in natural gas, that also might be Prime Motive Number 1 for 9-11. They probably could have joint ventured that pipeline with Bridas, but then Argentina would have been raking in billions in hard cash and not hanging on for dear life as they are now. Zbigniew Brzezinski, former National Security advisor to Carter and Foreign Intelligence advisor to Reagan even wrote a book titled The Grand Chessboard , American Primacy and It's Geostrategic Imperatives about the grand adventure to take over the Caspian Basin and its mother lode of oil and natural gas. If you are like me, you see no "geostrategic imperative" about sending your sons or daughters, wife or husband, off to some far away place just so a few elite insiders can make billions in oil in a deal they have conspired to take over for at least the past three presidential administrations. Consider for a moment Condoleezza Rice, who used to sit on the Chevron Board of Directors at that exact time that Chevron made the decision to invest billions into oil and gas production in the Caspian Basin and without any way in sight to get that oil to ocean ports. You cannot convince me that Ms. Rice was unaware of Bridas Corporation and that they had beat US and UK oil companies to the punch way back in 1992 and 1993 when they starting signing oil and gas deals with the Turkmenistan government. Last week the Bush administration came under heavy fire from a large body of respected scientists who claimed that it cherry-picked science to suit its policy agenda and suppressed studies that it did not like. Jeremy Symons, a former whistle blower at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), said that suppression of the report for four months was a further example of the White House trying to bury the threat of climate change.

Senior climatologists, however, believe that their verdicts could prove the catalyst in forcing Bush to accept climate change as a real and happening phenomenon. They also hope it will convince the United States to sign up to global treaties to reduce the rate of climatic change.
A group of eminent UK scientists recently visited the White House to voice their fears over global warming, part of an intensifying drive to get the US to treat the issue seriously. 

Sources have told The Observer that American officials appeared extremely sensitive about the issue when faced with complaints that America's public stance appeared increasingly out of touch.

One even alleged that the White House had written to complain about some of the comments attributed to Professor Sir David King, Tony Blair's chief scientific adviser, after he branded the President's position on the issue as indefensible.

Among those scientists present at the White House talks were Professor John Schellnhuber, former chief environmental adviser to the German government and head of the UK's leading group of climate scientists at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research. He said that the Pentagon's internal fears should prove the 'tipping point' in persuading Bush to accept climatic change. 

Sir John Houghton, former chief executive of the Meteorological Office - and the first senior figure to liken the threat of climate change to that of terrorism - said: 'If the Pentagon is sending out that sort of message, then this is an important document indeed.'

Bob Watson, chief scientist for the World Bank and former chair of the intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, added that the Pentagon's dire warnings could no longer be ignored. 'Can Bush ignore the Pentagon? Why not? It won't be the first time but It's going be hard to blow off this sort of document. Its hugely embarrassing. After all, Bush's single highest priority is national defence.

 The Pentagon is no wacko, liberal group, generally speaking it is conservative. If climate change is a threat to national security and the economy, then he has to act. There are two groups the Bush Administration tend to listen to, the oil lobby and the Pentagon,' added Watson.

'You've got a President who says global warming is a hoax, and across the Potomac river you've got a Pentagon preparing for climate wars. It's pretty scary when Bush starts to ignore his own government said Rob Gueterbock of Greenpeace. Already, according to Randall and Schwartz, the planet is carrying a higher population than it can sustain.

 By 2020 'catastrophic' shortages of water and energy supply will become increasingly harder to overcome, plunging the planet into war. They warn that 8,200 years ago climatic conditions brought widespread crop failure, famine, disease and mass migration of populations that could soon be repeated.

Randall told The Observer that the potential ramifications of rapid climate change would create global chaos. 'This is depressing stuff,' he said. 'It is a national security threat that is unique because there is no enemy to point your guns at and we have no control over the threat.'

Randall added that it was already possibly too late to prevent a disaster happening. 'We don't know exactly where we are in the process. It could start tomorrow and we would not know for another five years,'he said.

'The consequences for some nations of the climate change are unbelievable. It seems obvious that cutting the use of fossil fuels would be worthwhile.'

So dramatic are the report's scenarios, Watson said, that they may prove vital in the US elections and that better mean election for Al Gore who knows climate change as a real problem.

Symons, who left the EPA in protest at political interference, said that the suppression of the report was a further instance of the White House trying to bury evidence of climate change. 'It is yet another example of why this government should stop burying its head in the sand on this issue.'

Symons said 'This administration is ignoring the evidence in order to placate a handful of large energy and oil companies,' he added.

I have to say that those who have read my articles on the state of the planet know these observations might not be pleasant but I am afraid it is as bad as all that.

I never even heard about his Mother committing suicide or the fact that he had a second father or he was gay until Rove just mentioned it for his gain. Karl Rove: I did not pull dirty tricks BS! He is top class scum! He built his entire career as a Republican starting with Nixon because of his willingness and ability to pull dirty tricks and lie unabashedly.

First I was surprised to find out the purveyor of Bush's 3D Politics (deceitful, deceptive, divisive, politics) never Graduated from College. I find it amazing for two reasons. We, or I never heard that and he was so close to the top. And that is Bush's Brain! Go figure. remember, with life long executive privilege he can not be touched and is more brazen and dangerous than ever.

Not even a mention of it in his White House autobiography. I found that surprising and that it was never mentioned. While I was digging besides the numerous interesting articles out there many which were never mentioned I found that he was "born" in 1950 and said he dreamed about being in the White House from that day.

Worse I found that his lying underhanded tactics is what got him his start in Daddy's administration and the rewards for this started from day one and as you know continue today

Rove, along with his friend and College Republicans ally Lee Atwater, became favored Bush protégés. Rove moved to Texas in 1977 to toil as a fundraiser on George Sr.'s failed presidential-exploration PAC, the Fund for Limited Government. A year later he worked on an unsuccessful primary run for the Texas legislature by George W.

He was ruthless in chasing his goals, especially when it came to rivalries or power struggles with his own Republican cohorts. I was really surprised to see the well documented trail of underhanded Politics starting with Richard Nixon through his Fathers Presidency and now bush's and he continues to get away with it and be rewarded for it. With Rove's proven record of lies and deceit going back to day one in the Nixon Administration along with the fact that even by Bush's father he has been rewarded for being a division causing underhanded Liar I refuse to believe he is even allowed to talk and should at the very least be censured to his destructive lies if doing the right thing for America mattered at all! Why do the Democrats continue to let Republicans in this case Rove with their obvious lies and are incapable of turning it around on them as it should be? It is now obvious the target for Bush's missile Defense System is Russia!

 Romania starts building its end of anti Russian missile defence shield

Romania starts work on US missile defense base: The Missile Defense Facility will be maintained by US service personnel and house SM-3 interceptor missiles as well as radar equipment.

Russia is concerned that the missile system could be used against Russian interests. Moscow has threatened to aim a new generation of missiles at European military targets and deploy its own missile interceptors.

What's next now? Knowing that in the past Russia had expressed their anger over the missile Defence system proposed for Poland and Czechoslovakia and at one point to counter this proposal even offered to have them housed on their soil. Of course this offer was turned down as was the offer by Britain to have them on their soil.

The Bush line was that these systems are needed to counter the threat from Iran and North Korea. That sounds absolutely ludicrous if you ask me. In response to Bush's refusal to not deploy the systems Russia countered when President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia would suspend its compliance with a treaty on conventional arms in Europe that was forged at the end of the Cold War.

Instead, Putin said, the Kremlin would use future compliance with the treaty as a bargaining point in the dispute with United States over its proposals to install missile defences in Europe. Can you blame them?

Putin's announcement, made in his annual address to Parliament, underscored the Kremlin's anger at Washington for proposing a new missile-defense system, which the Bush administration and now Obama  insists is meant to counter potential threats from North Korea and Iran. But Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice brusquely dismissed Russian protests, saying the missile-defense system the United States plans to install in Poland and the Czech Republic would pose no danger to the security of Russia. http://www.iht.com/...
 
I thought quite to the contrary! What they are proposing to set up are boost phase interceptors--missiles that target a missile during it's relatively slow lift-off stage while it's still in the atmosphere.

 To accomplish a take down, the chase missile has to take off within 50 seconds--i.e. it has to be in relatively close proximity to the missile it wants to take down. That's why the argument that missiles in Poland and Romania  are supposed to deal with missiles coming from Iran or North Korea is nonsensical. Condi using the word nonsense against Russia gives the game away. They always ascribed their own motivation to others.

Looking at today's statement that Russia cannot alter a U.S. plan to set up a missile defense system in nearby Poland, a senior U.S. official said in an interview published on Wednesday that is likely to stoke Russia's anger over the project. Russia is enraged! "We have listened to them but they have been so intransigent in their position that most NATO allies now support our proposal," he added.

6 years ago U.S. Under secretary of State Nicholas Burns said Russian fears were unjustified as the project was purely defensive and could not be modified to launch attack missiles. These statements by Burns just told ignorant little me that while these systems could not be modified but they were solely to neutralize any interference by Russia in our plans. The only result of these rising tensions and the purposeful politics of confrontation practiced by the U.S. is to bring us closer to WW3 and our goal of what we think will be our version of new world order. These are my thoughts on the worsening situation, what are yours?
