Supreme Court strikes down law banning dogfight videos: Wonder what Michael Vick thinks about that?
Remember Justice Alito's you lie moment during the SOTU address?
Supreme Court strikes down law banning dogfight videos
This is quite a supreme court we have on tap here. They gave our country to corporations saying donating as much as they want to a cause or a politician is covered under freedom of speech. Every time Obama has to look for a new Justice we hear Republicans cry that they do not want outlaw Justices. What the heck do they call this!
As you know, President Obama lambasted the Supreme court injustices for handing a huge victory to special interests and their lobbyists as the so called conservative led Supreme court lifted restrictions on campaign funding by corporations and unions. No kidding! What a coincidence huh? With mid terms approaching the corporations and unions can now lead the way in bringing down the Democrats and their agenda.
Blatant lying and fear mongering using radio and TV advertisements is what those scum are getting away with calling freedom of speech? Now we will just see the asinine lies used in the Health care debates used to bring down the Democrats only now the lying ads will be on steroids as they take the lead in defeating Obama's agenda and the Democrats.
Alito blatantly defending that move to subvert our Democracy mouthing "Not true, not true" while sitting in the front row during President Obama first state of the union address which was in fact a State of Disunion address" was dead wrong, shows there will be no coming together to solve we the people's growing problems, and led me to look at why Alito is so anti Obama!
However it was true! If then Senator Obama had been listened to Alito would not even have been in the chambers. As a senator, he voted against Alito's confirmation. He said President George W. Bush's second nominee to the court was a man of "great character" which is definitely now in question and that he was an accomplished jurist which I now doubt 100%.
"But it is too bad he was ignored because he was dead on when he said "when you look at his record when it comes to his understanding of the Constitution I have found that in almost every case he consistently sides on behalf of the powerful against the powerless; on behalf of a strong government or corporation against upholding American's individual rights. Man what else is there to say. As they say it is too late and the proof is in the pudding. History plays a role in Obama-Alito flap
I am sick of the idiocy coming from Republicans while consistently since Bush they loudly and ignorantly accuse the Democrats of doing what they are in fact doing so they can follow their hidden agenda. Everything has backfired on them and it will continue. I wonder what Michael Vick thinks of them striking down the ban on dog fighting videos after what he has gone through? Aren't these idiots radical Justices "whether they abstain or not" legislating from the bench? Conservatives, yeah!

Daily Examples by the Vicks and Craig's of America show a Nation in Decline, Our well taught children may be Societies Saviors!

The Rise and Fall of the American Empire? It's up to all of us!
Knowing that in the past I have written numerous times on the increasing decadence of our society and that we were heading the way of the Roman Empire and every society as a normal point in a societies cycle of life. Bush has merely sped up our demise in hi efforts for new societal and world order. We receive daily reminders from all levels of our society. The growing daily ration of rapes and murders but supposedly "normal" good citizens is highlighted by the sorry examples we have to follow in our Government and those many in this society revere and hold special as our sports figures.
I was thinking this morning of the special people I have met of late on line and the fact that I raised my own four sons to be leading citizens and to lead by example. You lead by example! A good leader is gracious to those at their command and you command respect you do not demand it as we see daily examples of. The latest sorry examples of our so called leaders are Michael Vick from the sport world and Sen. Larry Craig from the Political world.
I am sure every one of you can come up with multitudes of examples of our degrading standards and examples. I have said this many times and wanted to share this report I found this morning that backs up 100%everything I have been saying and what most of us know from personal experience. I heard some research information shared by a speaker a while back that shocked me. I don’t shock easily, but this data really caught my attention, just like an alarm bell clanging in my ear. The message was clear, and the call to action urgent.
The research was historical in nature, reviewing the decline of multiple civilizations and empires throughout recorded history. This research showed conclusively that there is a definite pattern to the rise and fall of every great nation, empire, and civilization. The author asserts that the very same patterns appear in every single case, without fail or significant variance -- and one key factor in every civilization is the role played by men in their families.
At the "front end" of a rising civilization, men are firmly, decisively in control, sometimes to the point of true, harsh, "male dominance." With the rise of that civilization, the male changes from strict authoritarian to a kinder, more noble man. It is in this phase of civilization that society comes to full flower, experiencing great prosperity, stability, and growth. In the third stage, the male begins to disengage from his family, losing his nobility, and abandoning his role of leadership.
Females in society are therefore forced to abandon their instinctive maternal roles and step forward to assume the leadership roles that men have relinquished. It is in this stage that society begins a rapid decline, eventually resulting in its demise. According to this research, eight specific patterns of domestic behavior have signaled the downward spiral and imminent demise of every culture:

Shocking, isn’t it? It’s just like reading today’s newspaper. If this research data is taken seriously, one can only conclude that America is a civilization in rapid decline -- a nation in serious, imminent danger. The author was noted Sociologist and Historian Dr. Carle Zimmerman. His book, "Family and Civilization," is a scholarly work, pure history, sociology, and science. Far from being current rhetoric from the "religious right," the book was published in 1947. We can turn this around and if it is to be turned around it will come from children that were raised to lead by good example and to "command respect" not demand it because of societal position!

What does Vick's vicious stupidity say of our Overall Morality? What should happen to him? Can his case help society?

I have been caught up with our crumbling infrastructure and our crumbling leadership and degrading environmental conditions around the world but particularly America. I have been following the sick case of Michael Vick particularly wondering what could make a person of his stature be so inhuman and with so much to lose? Then this morning I started gathering information that is out there because I started as usual to think of the big picture, that being the state of American morality.
When I first started writing I was motivated to write about life in the Trenches of Society and it encompassed a history of American Morality and how we must regain it to succeed into the 21st century. This unbelievable behavior by Vick and sadly numerous instances today shows our morality is an indication that our society as a whole is racing towards the demise of the Roman Empire. Can we use this outrageous example of inhumanity to help our society? How do you think this should pan out? How do you think this will pan out? Let's review what is known and tell me what you think!
As most know by now, now that Vick's accomplices in killing dogs let alone letting them fight and maim each other agreed to testify against him. It blows me away in the first place that someone with so much and so much to lose can do anything to jeopardize that. Anyway now Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick is waiting to hear if he'll ever play professional football again after agreeing to plead guilty and face prison in his federal dog fighting case.
Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank told the NFL Network Monday he could not speculate on Vick's future as a Falcon, at least not until he has seen "a statement of facts" in the case. As far as I am concerned it should be over and if society is to get anything positive out of this, it better be. Blank said he was "not really surprised" by news of the quarterback's plea deal. I was because he should have admitted to his stupidity and guilt a long time ago.
" From a personal standpoint, he's doing the right thing," Blank said. "That's been my counsel to him some while ago, and publicly as well, to get this behind him as quickly as he can." The plea deal, Blank added, was "a step, and we'll just deal with the facts as they become available." That means he will try to escape from the repercussions of those facts as they become known. He already knows what they are. Michael wishes to apologize again to everyone who has been hurt by this matter," Martin said.
After Vick's indictment last month, Goodell ordered the quarterback not to report to training camp until the league completed its own review of the case. An NFL spokesman said that the league "is aware" of Vick's plea agreement and is considering what, if any, sanctions they should impose on the 27-year-old. I don't understand? what is there to consider? He should be black listed or we are sending a terrible massage that will further degrade society in the future. Someone has to start doing the right thing for society and not their pocketbooks.
Federal prosecutors offered to recommend an 18- to 36-month prison sentence for the suspended star quarterback for his alleged role in the dog fighting operation, but that Vick's attorneys were trying to reduce that to less than a year. of course The judge in the case will have the final say over the plea agreement. He better do the right thing and give Vick an appropriate sentence for fighting, killing, and then burying 8 dogs and lying about it. His career should be over or this will only serve to harm society. Not only that but his two co-defendants say the money behind the Bad Newz Kennels dog fighting operation came "almost exclusively" from Vick

Falcons owner Arthur Blank is accusing Michael Vick of lying to him and the NFL and I'm sure he did. Now the Falcons must decide if they will sue Vick to get back some of the $22 million they paid him to cover the last three years of his contract. That would require owner Arthur Blank to swallow hard and keep Vick on the roster, a smart business move, but a potential public-relations disaster. Vick is still listed on the Falcons roster on their web site. He will have to wait to see if NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will bar him from playing in the league. There are a number of very good reasons why the commissioner should crumple Vick's future like a paper ball, toss it in the garbage can under his desk and be rid of the problem.
First, Vick almost certainly lied to Goodell when he denied any involvement in the dog fighting ring, let alone financing the operation and personally taking part in the grisly executions of animals that lost. As part of his plea agreement, Vick will have to own up to all those things and perhaps illegal gambling or associating with gamblers, which under NFL policy can get a player banned for life. this guy should be cooked. His career should be over, I don't care how promising it was. He should have thought about that before he did it not after he was caught. This crap has to stop!
Second, the league in general and the commissioner in particular has little to gain by letting Vick put on a uniform again. America loves its pets, and the outrage the indictments sparked outside NFL headquarters continued throughout opening day at the Falcons' training camp, with sign-wielding protesters at the gates and a fly-over by a plane trailing a banner that read: "New team name? Dog Killers?" That was only a taste of what Vick's next employer can expect. Third, plenty of league personnel directors and general managers already regarded Vick as poison. I don't care how much he apologizes. It is too late for apologizes. an example has got to be made. http://www.wsbtv.com/news/13932855/detail.html
I agree with Jay Mariotti that this is a disgrace to humankind and our society. So now he's 'very remorseful,' wants to apologize and 'accept full responsibility for his actions.' It's too late. Sick Vick has got to go. Lying to the commissioner's face can't help Vick's chances of playing in the league again. He lied to Goodell. He lied to Arthur Blank, the Atlanta Falcons owner who thought Vick was revolutionizing the quarterback position three years ago and gave him a $130 million contract. He lied to fans throughout the nation who were captivated by his skills, lied to his mother after promising her last month that he would clear his ''good name,'' lied to the people of Atlanta who used to worship him but watched him flip an obscene gesture at them last year. Worst of all, he lied to himself. ''We totally condemn the conduct outlined in the charges, which is inconsistent with what Michael Vick previously told both our office and the Falcons,'' Goodell's office said in a release.
If deceit doesn't nail Vick, gambling might. As detailed in the indictment, the Bad Newz Kennels dogfights involved racketeering. Vick was mentioned specifically by Tony Taylor, one of several chirping members of his former entourage. The NFL prohibits links with gamblers, and any player found to be involved in illegal gambling can be banned for life. ''It's certainly an issue,'' Goodell said. ''Law enforcement may be concerned about certain things about this. We may be concerned about other aspects of this. That's why we want to evaluate what the government has. We don't know all of the facts on that.''

I don't care how remorseful he is, of course he is remorseful for all those lost millions. Forgiveness is impossible and he is a disgrace to humanity. We have got to start sending the right message to society or else. Tell me what you think about all this?
