The Taliban needs to feel more pain before we can get real cooperation

Taliban Need 'More Pain' to Force Talks, US Envoy Says: Peace negotiations with the Taliban are unlikely to bear results until additional military pressure is brought on the insurgents, the new American ambassador to Kabul said, playing down talk of progress in efforts to end the 10-year-old war. Afghan President Hamid Karzai, center, shakes hand with the new U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan Ryan Crocker in July 2011. "The Taliban needs to feel more pain before you get to a real readiness to reconcile,"

More pain? Then give it to them! Since June more than 135 militants have been killed in the South and North Waziristan lawless areas used by Islamists as a staging area to kill American and NATO forces in Afghanistan along with numerous natives.

The Taliban think they are getting away with something but they are being watched closely by JSOC ready to pounce and take them out when given the command. I say give it now and and inflict more serious pain than the severe pain they have felt of late.

Pakistani forces advance in Taliban stronghold:

Pakistani security forces backed by gunships and fighter jets have advanced on the Taliban stronghold in a tribal region and consolidated positions, military sources said. Hundreds of Pakistani regular and border troops are attacking hideouts of militants in Kurram tribal region to eliminate and expel them, they said."Taliban militants did not show any resistance," a military officer said.
Dozens killed in Afghan fighting:

Afghanistan: Dozens dead after Taliban raid in Nuristan. Provincial Governor Jamaludin Badar told the BBC that 33 border police had been killed in two days of clashes. He said 40 insurgents and five civilians had also died after more than 150 heavily armed insurgents attacked from bases in Chitral in Pakistan.

This is really looking good. Since Obama was elected we have been killing many high and mid level leaders and numerous Taliban fighter. It is looking good and it is looking doable but? I invite you to read this and think about it all!

Obama's General "now General McRaven has the job" but McChrystal was Cheney's chief assassin If nothing else give this a quick read it is mind blowing!

This is a long held plan: The plan is a detailed plan to secure Pakistan's Soviet style mobile nuclear force if it appears they are in danger of falling into the hands of Al Qaeda, the Taliban, or any other "perceived" militants. Key word perceived! American intelligence sources say the operation would be conducted by Joint Special Operations Command, the super-secret commando unit headquartered at Fort Bragg, N.C.

The Taliban think they are getting away with something but they are being watched closely by JSOC ready to pounce and take them out when given the command. I say give it now and save lives. At least for me until a year ago JSOC and what they are doing in Pakistan and Afghanistan had not been divulged. I do not know if it is wise or not but Obama had let this out of the bag too. JSOC is the military's chief terrorists hunting squad and has units now operating in Afghanistan on Pakistan's western border.

A secondary mission is to secure foreign nuclear arsenals. As you know the mission has taken on added importance in recent months, as Islamic extremists have taken territory close to the capital of Islamabad and could destabilize Pakistan's shaky democracy. Pakistan appears to be holding off the Taliban threat thus the threat of the US too feel the need to act on defending their Nukes.

Just in case the US Has Plan to Secure Pakistan Nukes if Country Falls to the Taliban

Because of our secret plans to grab and secure Pakistan's mobile nuclear weapons I long ago came to the conclusion that securing them and the plan along the Afghanistan Pakistan Border to take out the Taliban when given the go ahead is the reason we are hanging around in Afghanistan. That is more than enough reason. Just imagine the peril of the world if Pakistan's nukes fell into the hands of the Taliban and other extremists. The entire world better come together and realize their very being is under threat here and they all must come together and do their share.

While we are decimating the Taliban we are hearing that Al Qaeda is resurging. This is an endless trap and we will be there for decades at a minimum unless we join the graveyard of Nations first. Our troops served magnificently. I just do not know the answer any more because we are looking at the Gulf of Aden opening up right now as the next so called front in the was on terror in this forever war and this is barely beginning. WTF?

Bottom line the Taliban are indigenous to Afghanistan and will not be eradicated so efforts in bringing them pain should be concentrated solely in accomplishing US and western goals at least until we can get out of there. If they want to rule the country after that I say fine have fun.

I think you missed it again here Jim. There is no military solution to this problem. Our military brass have said as much. Eventually the Taliban will have to come to some kind of agreement. But with the corrupt nature of the Afghan government I don't see that happening any time soon. They all want us there because it provides them with an income. We're paying overpriced contractors to do much of the militaries' work while paying off the Taliban not to attack us. Just how crazy are we?
