McCain will finish off the new order mess Bush started in America and the world! He is the fear for martial Law and total control of us!

Martial law is perhaps the ultimate stomping of freedom. And yet, on September 30, 2006, Congress passed a provision in a 591-page bill that will make it easy for President Bush to impose martial law in response to a terrorist “incident.”

It also empowers him to effectively declare martial law in response to what he or other federal officials label a shortfall of “public order” – whatever that means. to me it is public outcry to what our so called leader is doing to our country and the world!

Section 1076 is more ominous in light of the Bush administration’s long record of Posse Comitatus violations. Since 2001, the Bush administration has accelerated a trend of using the military as a tool in the nation’s domestic affairs.

From its support of the Total Information Awareness surveillance vacuum cleaner, to its use of Pentagon spy planes during the Washington-area sniper shootings in 2002, to the Pentagon’s seizures of Americans’ financial and other private information without a warrant, the Bush administration has not hesitated to use military force and intimidation at home whenever convenient.
And Americans may have little or no idea of how far the military has actually gone on the home front, given the Bush team’s obsessive secrecy.

That is bad enough but I am starting to believe the military Industrial complex is the power behind the right! The Military-Industrial Complex: In his prophetic “Farewell Address” of 1961, President Eisenhower warned the nation about the serious threat that its “unwarranted influence” posed to the Republic. (1) Nick Turse, in his book, “The Complex: How The Military Invades Our Everyday Lives,” describes the current situation: “Just like the fictional ‘Matrix,’ the Complex is nearly everywhere and involved in almost everything and very few people aren’t plugged into it in some way, shape or form. Above all...most people are hardly aware that this ‘REAL MATRIX’ even exist.”

Turse says that the Complex reaches “deeper into American lives...than Eisenhower could ever have imagined.” For example, in 1961, the Pentagon was spending about $23 billion per year on weapons “and other military goods. Today, that would equal about $200 billion in the budget. [But], in 2007, the Department of Defense’s stated budget was $439 billion. Counting the costs of its wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the numbers jump to $600 billion. Factoring in all the many related activities carried out by other agencies, actual U.S. national security spending is NEARLY $1 TRILLION PER YEAR.”

In 1970, there were about 22,000 prime contractors doing business with the U.S. department of Defense (DoD). In 2008, Turse writes: “The number of prime contractors tops 47,000 with subcontractors reaching WELL OVER THE 100,000 MARK, making for ONE MASSIVE CONGLOMERATE touching nearly every sector of society.”

It may be paranoia but I think they actually run the country at this point. More so than The big banks. Are they the hidden controllers?

As you know I am very concerned about Bush lifting Posse Comitatus and declaring martial law.
However I now firmly believe that Declaring martial law will not happen under Bush but it will under President McCain.

* Yhep he is the next heir to the throne! The right has built the new phony American hero and he will get in somehow. Again, whoever tries to speak the truth about him will be labeled as anti military, unpatriotic, un-American, you name it.
He will get in one way or the other and he will be a lot worse than Bush if you can imagine that. People talk about his temper but just watch how ruthless McCain can be!

Well, you have just articulated my worst fears. I probably should act on my gut feelings and put my house on the market despite the fact that it's worth about a hundred thousand dollars less now than it was a year ago. Thanks, George. Then I should get my ass out of Dodge and head for Canada.

We seem lost in ignorance and brutality. Bad combination. It would be nice if a bunch of us could immigrate together so as to have a nice little friendly community, but with you or without you, it's time to start packing.

Hi Utah
I hate to say it but it is much, much worse. However you will be okay. Canada is not safe either so don't go anywhere. You know about the NAU (north American Union)_don't you?
You know what stinks? We are not paranoid, we are just realists. Did you look at my post yesterday? What is coming will not be avoided.
I saw it 30 years ago but people thought I was crazy. I am a lifelong survivalist! I remember a fellow survivalist wanted me to go to Nova Scotia as they believe that will be the only safe place but I don't think so.
I have been talking with Betmo teaching her some tricks for growing your own food. Before I went in the military and became an accoutant I was a life long farmer and grew and prepared veggies and animals. Anyway feel free to talk to me!

I denounced that law when it was passed and share your feat, Jim.

We have a lot on our plate but we can not stop! This is not paranoia! It is a fact that can not be denied that what is building will not be quelled and will dwarf anything the world has seen. Look around, that is a simple fact!

I don't believe there is really anywhere to go.

The world is shrinking and because of the oil decline that is just beginning, no place in the world is safe.

Start your victory garden. Set up a rainwater collection system. Get to know your neighbors. Learn to can and store food. either buy books on canning, or print out instructions for the internet. Buy basic canning and storage gear now, and learn how to use it. Avoid powered devices, unless you have a hand powered backup.

Think Perestroika. Even in the hardest times, the government will try to make sure some kind of food is available. But if you were to get to the store and they only have half the items you want, or you can't afford everything, what would you miss the most? Can you grow that yourself?

If your water didn't work for a few days, would you be ready? What would you do?

If your electricity went out, and your local store already sold all of their melting ice, what would you do with what you have in the refrigerator or freezer? What items do you stock that don't need refrigeration? What items do you keep in your refrigerator that could be canned?

Think about these things when you have the luxury of making choices. Imagine how you'd cope if something thought indispensable were removed from your life.

And on home gardening, there is bonus that most people don't know. Many vegetables from the garden, can last months just resting in a bowl on the table. Winter Squash and green tomatoes for instance, keep very well without refrigeration. The food you buy at the store, has been sprayed with ethylene to make if ripen and rot at an accelerated rate. So don't mix store bought veggies those that are fresh from the garden.

Be prepared.

Right now, I'm hoping against hope that things can and will change. However, I will err on the side of caution and continue to beg voters to come out en masse to ensure voting irregularities will be too obvious to ignore.

You know I have been training for this my entire life. Drinling water would be my only concern and I can take care of that.
You know meat and vegie wise I will remember a myriad of lessons. I always stored my stuff all winter too! My thing and I have yet to do it because I know my neihbors will think I'm crazy, is to organ at least the two on either side of me. One is a major gardener it is just too bad they're a group of 400 ponders. The other side has a big yard.
I have to get a roto tiller. My fiane thinks I'm crazy but we can make one big Garden and our friend across the street has a great yard.
You would be amazed at what is edible! If I closed your eyes and gave you milkweed at the same stage as the asparagus you eat you could not tell the difference.
I will be okay. My main concern believe it or not is loosing the internet and communication with the likes of you and need information resources. Can you believe it! I have been warning poeple for 30 years now it is right around the corner. Unbelievable!

Hey stranger, glad to see you! McCain is already chosen. Watch! Guys like you keep up the good work. I could be wrong but I 100% doubt it!
Did you see what weaseldog said? He is right on! Years ago people thought I was crazy and some still do but... I better shut up because there is so much here. Remember the rest of the population will want what you have so...

Jim,

with Helliry stampeding any prospect of change; I am beginning to subscribe to your pessimism!

If McCain (or Hillary) ends up in office, America deserves every peril coming her way; as that is gonna be the ABSOLUTE truth that this nation is gullible; with SEVERE learning disability!

I'm sorry, I know you were getting annoyed with at least me and tc so I figured I would be better off not giving you the average American's view. I won't get started as you are watching I think, things unfold In Iraq and the Gulf so I will shut up.
I am afraid it is not pessimism but plain unbiased fact. Just observe and I am afraid McCain is a given and he is worse than Bush if you can believe that.
The Iraqi envoy said whoever gets elected will stay in Iraq and Iraq will decide when we leave. Many here are gullible but those of us that are not just do not matter! Take care!
