Climate is our greatest security risk as Bush still refuses to fund the results instead creating a risk for his hidden Agenda!

Climate our greatest security risk as we are witnessing and Bush still refuses to fund the results such as Katrina!

I never cease to be stupefied by Bush's perceived ineptitude as he pursues his hidden agenda in America and around the world. I am nonplussed at his ability to lie, supposedly under perform constantly, and get away with it, never being held accountable. Anyway I am preparing to watch the battle of the undefeated as Indianapolis plays new England. I wish all you Colt's fans luck in what promises to be a great game.
That said I quickly want to discuss something we have covered over and over. like you I have been watching with nervousness the increasing natural disasters around America. Continuously we watch Bush ignore a crisis until it becomes a disaster and then he responds for a photo op and in thee end does nothing he said he would. What's new. Anyway, knowing that the climate is now our biggest security threat: AMSTERDAM, Netherlands — Climate change could be one of the greatest national security challenges ever faced by U.S. policy makers, according to a new joint study by two U.S. think tanks.

The report, to be released Monday, raises the threat of dramatic population migrations, wars over water and resources, and a realignment of power among nations. During the last two decades, climate scientists have underestimated how quickly the Earth is changing — perhaps to avoid being branded as "alarmists," the study said. But policy planners should count on climate-induced instability in critical parts of the world within 30 years.

The report was compiled by a panel of security and climate specialists, sponsored by the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the Center for a New American Security. The Associated Press received an advance copy. Climate change is likely to breed new conflicts, but it already is magnifying existing problems, from the desertification of Darfur and competition for water in the Middle East to the disruptive monsoons in Asia, which increase the pressure for land, the report said.
At the very least, the report said, the U.S. can expect more population migrations, both internally and from across its borders; a proliferation of diseases; greater conflict in weak states, especially in Africa where climates will change most drastically; and a restructuring in global power in line with the accessibility of natural resources. Left unchecked, "the collapse and chaos associated with extreme climate change futures would destabilize virtually every aspect of modern life," said the report, comparing the potential outcome with the Cold War doomsday scenarios of a nuclear holocaust. There is quite a backlash scenario. Please read it

Anyway, as we watch the threat in America and never see the situation remedied but rather allowed to worsen as Bush follows his nightmare scenario, Everything else aside here I am reminded of Katrina and how those poor people were hung out to dry and still Bush is refusing to fund much needed projects.
An increasingly confrontational President Bush on Friday vetoed a bill authorizing hundreds of popular water projects even though lawmakers can count enough votes to override him. we will see! In doing so, Bush brushed aside significant objections from Capitol Hill, even from Republicans, in thwarting legislation that provides projects for a host of aims, including those that would repair hurricane damage, restore wetlands and prevent flooding in communities across the nation. This level of opposition virtually assured that Bush would have a veto overridden for the first time in his presidency. He has used the veto very sparingly for most of the time he has been in office, but has made more use of it recently.

Harry Reid said Bush's veto indicates that he's out of touch with the American people and their priorities."When we override this irresponsible veto, perhaps the president will finally recognize that Congress is an equal branch of government and reconsider his many other reckless veto threats," he said. Reid said that with his veto, Bush has said "no" to providing authority for new navigation projects and programs to combat flood and coastal storm damage and restore ecosystems.
"More than two years after failing to respond to the devastation and destruction of Hurricane Katrina, he is refusing to fund important projects guided by the Army Corps of Engineers that are essential to protecting the people of the Gulf Coast region," said Reid, D-Nev. The Audacity

As we watch the changing environment become our biggest security threat and feel its increasing wrath I refuse to believe that Bush gets away with lying and ignoring the suffering of Americans he claims to want to help, only so he can follow his supposedly hidden agenda and his so called new societal and world order.

Thanks for the information. Very helpful. Scary to know that we will undoubtedly see these drastic changes in our lifetime. It just didn't need to happen either...

Hey Sumo, not only in our life time but the total world chaos many have asked me not to talk about is now happening and it is too late to stop. As RR and others are doing we must continue to try and wake people up but it is now out of America's hands and beyond anyones control. Take care and stay in touch!

All right Anok!
I was just on your site and both meanings of Anok apply. i was just getting ready to write about the developing unstopable world chaos.
Glad you stopped by! I have been in a turmoil and lost all my data except for my site so I am slowly geting things back.
I am right now listening to Biden say the world is a disaster and we may not survive four moore years. He is right on. I am preparing to write on the fact that the breakdown i have been talking about for years is well in progress and will ne longer be controlled. What Musharraf did will dictate the future of the US and the world.
Anyway me and mine are fine. I sincerely hope you and yours are too! Take care and stay in touch!

Thanks a bunch, I hope you get all your info back!

I agree, I have been watching with great anxiety about Pakistan....

I just don't even know what to make of it anymore.

Even my husband (who is usually spot on with predictions) has been saying that so much has been happening so fast that he just doesn't know anymore.

yikes.

I'll tell him! Pakistan will blow, Bush is set to attack Iran and Pakistan from the Gulf with his 3 Carrier Battle Groups and France's Charles De Gaulle guarding the mouth, Russia and China will intervene and don't forget the nasty space surprise they have for Bush to disable our armada called "the assassins mace, then world war three will really get under way and their is a lot more but I will spare you for now.
