Israel faces its most complex diplomatic challenges in decades, Israel and the US purposely created this growing crisis

Palestinian president requests statehood: The time has come for a "Palestinian Spring," to join the Arab Spring in reshaping the Middle East, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas told the U.N. General Assembly on Friday in a historic plea for support for his application for full membership in the international organization.

"My people desire to exercise their right to enjoy a normal life like the rest of humanity," Abbas said. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, later taking his turn to address the General Assembly, said Palestinians are looking for a "state without peace" that he argued would continue to threaten his tiny nation's security. "Palestinians should first make peace with Israel, and then get their state," he said.

Palestine's Mahmoud Abbas requested full membership to the UN and an independent State side by side with Israel but you know despite the world wanting it, it will not happen because Israel and the US does not want it but want status quo including talking for eternity.

After listening to Benjamin Netanyahu talk about the 4000 year history behind his name and Israel it reinforces even more what I have said too many times and that is that there will ever be peace in the middle east, ever, as long as there are Jews, Arabs, and Persians.

Mid-East media critical of Obama UN speech

Palestinian Authority: Obama will be responsible for failure of peace process

Israel faces its most complex diplomatic challenges in decades: Even before the focus shifts to the Palestinian arena, with the bid by the Palestinian Authority to have the United Nations recognize it as a state, Israel has had to deal with the return home of senior envoys from three of the region's most important countries. So far this month, Ankara expelled Israel's ambassador to Turkey, Israel's ambassador to Egypt was forced to flee Cairo in the middle of the night amid a mob attack, and on Thursday all Israeli diplomats were evacuated from Amman due to warnings that Jordanians intended to copy the Egyptian demonstrations.

Abbas: Palestinians seek full UN membership: PLO chairman says he will hand in request to Security Council for full recognition of Palestine at the United Nations. He said that more than 120 countries have already promised to support the Palestinian bid. Abbas also mentioned US President Barack Obama's 2010 speech at the General Assembly, when he expressed hope that a Palestinian state would join the UN within the next year.

Israeli Prime Minister: Palestinian Statehood Bid Will Fail Israel blames the Palestinians, I am sick of US and Israeli crap!

US veto set to upset Palestinian UN move: The admission of new members to the United Nations is decided by the General Assembly. Normally, if a state wants to join, it presents its application to the Security Council first. If approved, the Security Council gives its recommendation to the General Assembly.Article 18 of the UN Charter states says that the final decision rests here: “Decisions of the General Assembly on important questions shall be made by a two-thirds majority of the members present and voting. These questions shall include… the admission of new members to the United Nations.”

A Veto has never been used but it is my understanding that as long as we have a 2/3 majority Palestine is in. Can somebody help me here? I am just totally sick of US and Israeli lies! What the hell is this when the US has sole authority to block the will of the world?

The US will veto Palestine's bid for statehood at the UN because they are Israel's lapdog

UN: Israeli-Palestinian conflict in 'profound and persistent deadlock: No kidding, "Israelestine only"

Israel knows they are over their head but they know they can ignore the world because they own the US. Right or wrong they have the US in their pocket!

They have the US! Israel does not care what anyone thinks period! I realized a long time ago that Israel is the world's chief war monger and we seem to do their bidding and fighting. If they get into a war with Iran who wants Israel wiped of the map we will end up coming to their rescue regardless of what they do or what anyone says and that is sad! We should in fact take care of Jewish American's and American's and our interests in Israel and otherwise tell them in no uncertain terms they are on their own if they continue to flaunt the worlds will and instigate war not peace and expecting us to come to their rescue.

I must admit Israel's hypocrisy and lies are a plan I have discussed often and I have to disagree with the assertion that says an attack on Iran's nuclear program would be counter productive. I beg to differ! The General hit the nail on the head though and does not know it. I have long asserted that Israel would attack Iran's nuclear interests and we would come to her rescue.

That is a fact that is why I find this statement troubling and prophetic. An Israeli General correctly said One strike is not practical. In order to delay the Iranian program for three to four years one needs an armada of aircraft, which only a super-power can provide. Only America can do it. Bingo! You know from numerous discussions here that Iran is involved in every Middle Eastern country not just Yemen, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia where they have corrupted elections for Shiite interests in Iraq, backing rebels in Yemen, and instigating attacks on Saudi oil fields. Bush freed Iran to instigate far and wide and they are.

Israel is not going to back down. When all is said and done they know the US will be there for them. I am sure the US plans to come to Israel's rescue and do it largely from the Gulf with numerous carrier fighter groups. When are we going to realize this entire mess I call a forever war is just beginning and this is our future. A future of war for us and profiteering for the elite!

Israel and the US will continue to flaunt Palestinian and world desires for a free Palestine and a two state solution until one way or the other what is happening in the Arab spring countries gets Iran and us openly involved. There is so much other degradation happening in the US and around the world I hate that this is happening and it is all unnecessary. We can only hope this does not turn into WW3.

I find it interesting that until recently that it's been the US policy not to deal with a country that didn't have an official government. And just how can anyone expect permenant agreements without the backing of an official nation to enforce those agreements?
Is this Orwellian or what?

Yeah, it's fine for the state of Israel to be created by the UN, but not Palestine. No justice, no peace.
