We're in danger of losing the war in Pakistan and that is grave!

Pakistani Militants Attack Dozens of NATO Supply Trucks After Borders Shut

The US is increasingly taking matters into its own hands inside Pakistan. The Haqqani network and their increasingly foreign fighters have become the main focus after 9 years of fighting. The Haqqani Network's North Waziristan leadership -- usually called the Miram Shah Shura consists of a number of Haqqani family members and closely associated long-serving commanders.

At the top of the network is Sirajuddin Haqqani, who oversees the group's political and military activities and is the main liaison to the Mullah Muhammad Omar led Quetta Shura Taliban, the Taliban's leadership body (named for the capital of Pakistan's Baluchistan province). He is also one of the network's liaisons to Pakistani Taliban figures and al-Qaeda.

He travels regularly into Afghanistan to coordinate with field commanders and occasionally to Peshawar and South Waziristan to connect with militants there. Remember Bowe Bergdhal? There are many field commanders in Afghanistan, but turnover is high because many get killed or captured. The most prominent is Mullah Sangin, who is believed to be holding Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl a captured U.S. soldier and Zakim Shah the movement's shadow governor of Khost province. Inside the Haqqani network

Jalaluddin Haqqani legendary leader who fought the Soviets and his son, Sirajuddin who directs operations are increasingly the targets of drones and now manned NATO aircraft in Pakistan as the Pakistani's have been leery to go in the area for whatever reason. Many are being killed, I heard over 80 in a week with no civilian casualties.

I wish we would quickly kill the Haqqani's, both Jalaluddin and Sirajuddin and leave the rest to Pakistan as our invasion of their country even to kill Taliban and Al Qaeda fighters who were known killers of NATO forces may be the straw that broke the camels back.

I would hate to see this unite the Haqqani network with Pakistan against us as Pakistan is furious and rightly so though it may be a ploy to placate civilians. I wish we would just come home. I do not want to see the scenario I discussed many times and that is taking on Pakistan from the Gulf and don't forget Iran. Damn, Damn, Damn!

The is probably a surge coming down the tube. That always seems to work.

I see no solution to this Jim. We're dealing with several factions of the Taliban and they all have their own agendas. They are not one cohesive organization. And this is why no one has ever been able to concur that country. We've tried bombing them, bribing them and negotiations and it hasn't worked. Ten years is long enough. Time to get out.

Tom we have to get the hell out of there! Pakistan is now refusing to open the Border and all our supply trucks are sitting ducks and getting destroyed even though NATO apologized for accidentally killing 2 soldiers.

I am more concerned than ever for their 65 or so nukes though we do have black ops there ready to secure them if necessary.

A month ago Gates said if need be we can depend on the navy for more forces if needed as they are not over extended. I beg to differ with that but it is becoming more obvious daily that we are losing Pakistan and look at Iran.

WTF! We are going to end up going after both of them from the gulf, watch. At one time we had 5 carrier battle groups in the Gulf and France's Charles De Gaulle guarding the mouth.

Watch to see if there is another build up coming and refueling aircraft coming from Diego Garcia. that will be the tip off!

I do not like the way this is looking and as I keep saying, this is barely beginning. Just think of the ramifications of all this at the same time, our Political BS and dire financial and economic condition, and world players at large.

We have been in Afghanistan going on 10 years over a lie and it is barely beginning and getting worse and worse as this forever war is barely beginning!

Demeur read what I just said to Tom, I so agree and it is sickening we are not smart enough to get the hell out but will stick until we join the graveyard of nations.
