Metal Storm, a surprise for Russia?

Just a thought: Ukraine would have to deal with the Russian's they let into Ukraine and Crimea but this  is the perfect well tested answer to hoards of Russian soldiers crossing the border without endangering Ukraine soldiers: Metal storm the deadliest fastest most powerful weapon on the battlefield, this is scary, scary! Perfect for the demilitarized zone. I would be stunned if these are not already in place there.
I was asked a question about smart weaponry. It is a very wide and complex field so I will just concentrate on one weapon we have discussed in the past as it is a smart weapon, it is here now, it will control the battlefield, and is very frightening. This is the scariest weapon I have ever seen or heard of in my life short of nukes. A million rounds per minute, 180 bullets being fired in less than one-hundredth of a second is perceived as one enormous noise to a human ear. Wow! Metal storm is more deadly than its name implies. Watch the video this is scary

Metal storm delivers pinpoint accuracy from ships, planes, helicopters the back of any vehicle, the ground, anywhere any time. This is super smart and lethal. 16,000 rounds per second and can even fire 1/4 million rounds of 40 mm grenades per minute. Metal storm can be operated unmanned and unattended. This is downright sinister. look at the pictures of versatility this is scary

Even unmanned Metal storm can detect movement anywhere watch this silent assassin it is down right scary All you need is a tube to hold all the rounds and it can go anywhere and be carried and shot from anything! It watches everything giving you total situation awareness.

I can't say it enough, this is a scary weapon. There is only one moving part, the Bullet. Bullets or high powered grenades are preloaded and fired electronically. No moving parts no jamming! General Downing former Commander in Chief of Special Forces is the adviser for what is the fastest and most powerful weapon on the battlefield.

This is a weapon the likes of which has never before been seen on a battlefield. It can monitor entire battle fields sensing any motion whatsoever and react accordingly. Using 40mm grenades it can flatten building, crush hardened bunkers, one can take out a battalion of tanks in seconds. watch this silent assassin it is down right scary

This is lethal and can even take down an intercontinental missile in seconds, dispatch a torpedo, used on mines, fired from planes laying down the most lethal barrage known to man. Just one question, if limiting killing non-combatants is a goal I would say that will not happen with this weapon and is the only drawback I can think of after watching the video.

Israel will never get serious about negotiations for a two State solution

whose fault is the lack of a two state solution Israel pr the United States?

Peace quartet asks Israel and Palestine to get serious about negotiations:Top officials from the U.S., Russia, European Union and the United Nations have called on the Israelis and Palestinians to demonstrate their seriousness in reaching a settlement by next year.

The Associated Press reports that the quartet has called on the two parties to refrain from any actions that would undermine trust, and stressed the importance of leaders from both parties issue positive messages.

Remember this? It is sadly still true:

'EU report says Israel undermining two-states' Of course they are!

Listen to this article. Powered by Odiogo.com

'EU report says Israel undermining two-states': Late last year, Israel harshly rejected criticism of its settlement activities levied against it by Britain, France, Germany and Portugal at the United Nations. A Foreign Ministry statement at the time suggested that UN Security Council members - and the EU states on it - would be better served concentrating their condemnation on the violence in Syria and Iran's nuclear program. Another words there is no way in hell Israel will allow a 2 state solution.

Israel has been stalling for years and will never stop stalling. Israel will never agree to a two state solution or share Jerusalem period and will resort to war period, especially knowing the US will come to their rescue and it bothers me. This is really getting old!

I wrote about it numerous times, to hell with Israel they are the problem. Netanyahu does not want peace until he gets everything he wants which includes all of Jerusalem. We have to take care of our own and let them hang themselves. Ahmadinejad was right in one thing when he said years ago that is Europe and the US felt so bad for what happened to the Jews in ww2 they should have given them part of their country. We would have no problem then. We are as guilty as them for not enforcing UN resolution 181. UN Resolution 181 that was established in 1947.

Make them go back to it and call it a frigging day!

I have been sick of Israel's lying about wanting a compromise, a two state solution. Ehud Barak had a viable solution Benjamin Netanyahu shot down. Netanyahu's lies to provoke and prolong this impasse holds the day. I am sick of this crap, I am sorry!

Israel's leader does not want to share Jerusalem BS, Netanyahu does not want peace but all of Jerusalem!

Lack of a peace solution to the Israeli crisis we created keeps being blamed on the Palestinians and I for one am quite sick of it! Israel could lease Palestinian lands in exchange for Palestinian statehood: report I am thinking this can be done after all my apprehension. With Palestine rebuffing Iran, Iran would be the one left out in the cold however Israel does not want this to succeed. Leave Israel to her own demise, I am sick of the lies!

They say that Palestinian refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state shows they are not serious about two-state solution. What about Israel's refusal to go back to 1967 borders, to stop building settlements, or to let Palestine have a homeland free of Jews if they want? What about UN resolution 181 established in 1947?

PLO wants map from US with future Israeli border Can you blame them? It will never happen though because we are Israel's lap dog.

Vice Prime Minister and Strategic Affairs Minister Moshe Ya'alon said that he saw "no chance of reaching a peace deal with the Palestinians in the near future". There is no way in hell ever because neither side really wants it. They want the other subversive, end of discussion.

"In the eyes of Palestinians, the occupation began in '48 and not in '67," Ya'alon told Army Radio. "Not only Hamas thinks this – Abu Mazen [Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas does too." I think that too! I refuse to believe we took it upon ourselves to displace the Palestinians and give their land to the Jews in 1948 because we felt bad for them.

I reiterate: Palestinians for their part are doing their share for peace but it is futile: They are willing to let Israel control the wailing wall and just want East Jerusalem as their capital but there is no way in hell Israel is going to give that up as they swear it belongs to them. It does not belong to them. They do not want peace unless they get everything they want and they will not. This will only end in war and we will be dragged in. That is why Bush ignored Afghanistan to get into the Middle East. Right from the get go helping Israel against Iran was the goal.

Again I reiterate there will never be peace in the Middle East, period! Israel wants it her way and Iran/Syria want Israel obliterated, period, seems like peace is in Palestinian hands and depends on how much they are willing to bend because Israel will not. Israel and Iran have long been in preparation for this confrontation. As you know, when asked by a journalist how he felt upon returning to Iran in 1979 after 15 years in exile. Khomeini’s curt, one-word reply was “nothing” Whoa! From day one of his return to Iran Khomeini expressed no love for Iran only a love of the atom bomb. The drive even then was to possess a nuclear weapon though that desire is still denied until Iran can get their hands on one.

On the other side there is Israel who will give nothing and expects Palestinians to give up everything! I realized a long time ago that Israel is the world's chief war monger and we seem to do their bidding and fighting. If they get into a war with Iran we will end up coming to their rescue regardless of what they do or what is said or done and that is sad! We should in fact take care of Jewish American's and American's and our interests in Israel and otherwise tell them in no uncertain terms they are on their own if they continue to instigate war not peace and expecting us to come to their rescue.

* The ball is in Israel's court and I do not like what they are doing with it as they want to hold the ball till they get their way. Well the heck with them, we have given enough!

Why Turkey is different from other Muslim countries:

Turkey very much wants to be part of the western world: Germany & Turkey celebrate 50 years of their ground-breaking Labor Pact, the process signed in October 1961 that opened the gates to Turkish migrants to Germany as guest workers.

Turkey is in a very stra tegic location and wants to be part of the EU: Turkey will strengthen the EU and garner badly needed points from the Muslim world but there would be great negatives too for both the EU and Turkey.   Turkey must join EU, says UK PM

Turkey in the Crossroads or cross hairs: A model for the middle east to follow or a set-up for additional future middle east crisis? In the 1920s, with the Ottoman Empire in ruins, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk imposed Western laws, replaced Arabic script with the Latin alphabet, banned Islamic dress and granted women the right to vote.

The ruling party, however, has supported religious schools and tried to lift the ban on Islamic head scarves in public offices and schools. Secularists are also uncomfortable with the idea of Gul's wife, Hayrunisa, being in the presidential palace because she wears the traditional Muslim head scarf.''We don't want a covered woman in Ataturk's presidential palace,'' said Ayse Bari, a 67-year-old housewife. ''We want civilized, modern people there.''

With the Religious fervor having been awoken in my mind largely by Bush's attack on Iraq and our intrusion into middle east politics wherever we can and the ever growing call for a return to Islamic values in the middle east and in the entire Islamic world I find it spectacular that Turkey believes it can go its own way and be allowed to be secular and hopefully become a member of the EU.   Turkey wikepedia

We have discussed Turkey and its efforts to join the EU often as well as its importance to Europe, the US, Russia, Iran, the middle east and the world many times over the years. We just discussed this! We need Turkey, the EU needs Turkey, the world needs Turkey. However the US and the EU as you know has long frustrated Turkey. Supposedly she is turning towards Iran but while we tighten sanctions and money Iran is using Turkey to fill the void but in the end Iran as you know will go her own way and Turkey will stay with us. Earlier this year Turkey getting increasingly frustrated in her efforts to join the EU had lobbied Germany for their help in gaining membership.

The US needs Turkey for its Middle East policy but it is obvious the rest of the world does too. Turkey and the world are at a crossroads which way will we go!? Let Turkey join the European Union! There are drawbacks as membership would give them freedom in the rest of the member countries but it can be managed and I think there are more positives than negatives.

* Turkey is different from most Muslim countries, Turkey very much wants to be a part of us!

Germany and Turkey celebrate 50 years of their ground-breaking Labour Pact: Turkey has proven herself, let Turkey join the EU?

Germany & Turkey celebrate 50 years of their ground-breaking Labour Pact, the process signed in October 1961 that opened the gates to Turkish migrants to Germany as guest workers.

Turkey will strengthen the EU and garner badly needed points from the Muslim world but there would be great negatives too for both the EU and Turkey.Turkey must join EU, says UK PM I agree Turkey will strengthen the EU and garner badly needed points from the Muslim world but I think there would be great negatives too and for both the EU and Turkey.

I again reiterate the whole story: Turkey's future is tied to a pipeline! It really drives me crazy but the more you research the more you realize all throughout the middle east, Georgia, Afghanistan, everywhere, all the wars and controversy can be tied back to gas and oil. Russia's interest in Iran in numerous and as such is not singular to nuclear cooperation. You might have already known Russia was also interested in Iran's gas and oil but an interesting possible relationship and cooperation just dawned on me.

I am sure you remember Russia creating a crisis a couple years back shutting off Europe's gas and oil supply after its confrontation with Georgia, that and the fact that Turkey has long desired and endeavored to become a member of the European Union. This opens up a win, win for all involved!

Tell me what you think about this: Center pin Turkey, King pin Russia, center pin Iran! Winner US, European Union, Iran, Russia, and all our union and future! Remember the missile defense shield President Obama killed as an issue by switching to the Aegis? The missile Defense shield was starting to look like a necessity with N Korea in pressing on missiles capable of carrying war heads and the ability to reach Hawaii or so we hear. Iran we still do not know about but they will not compromise their nuclear desires so with a responsible credible ally if Russia is one, the responsibility to ensure Iran's real intentions would be there's under scrutiny of course. There is room here.

** The winners in all this is everyone, but Turkey and the EU above all! Russia wants the franchise for Iran's gas and oil! Turkey is at the crossroads of the middle east and the European Union. This is a major point for compromise in all our problems! Give Russia the franchise, the EU lets Turkey join in turn for Turkey allowing a pipeline from Iran through Turkey into the EU. Everyone wins! A win, win for all and a chance for us to move into the future as one.

I reiterate the future is up to a pipeline! In the Middle East we have been living a total lie from 9/11 on! You have not heard the truth once! Not on the events of 9/11, the Anthrax attacks which scared Congress to pass the so called Patriot Act and give Bush the abusive power he needed to attack Afghanistan for not allowing his pipeline through Afghanistan. The only remaining obstacle on 9-11 was the remaining agreement between the Taliban and Bridas Corporation. The Bush Administration, Congress, many in our major media, and even the 9-11 Commission and Cheney Energy Task Force all know about Bridas Corporation because that Argentine oil and gas company was standing in the way of our US oil companies and UK oil companies. The Caspian Basin oil is landlocked and there are only so many ways to get that oil out of the ground, to the ocean ports and into your gas tanks or home heating oil tanks.

What a coincidence huh? There is the direct route from Turkmenistan across Iran to the ocean, but that is not politically popular since the overthrow of the Shah of Iran many years ago. There is: 1.) the route across the Caspian Sea westward, which is extremely costly; and through Azerbaijan through Turkey to the Mediterranean; and 2.) from Turkmenistan through Georgia to the Black Sea; and 3.) through the Ukraine to Europe; and 4.) the Turkmenistan through Afghanistan and Pakistan to the ocean. Until one of those solutions was in place, the holes being drilled into the ground by British Petroleum, Chevron, Exxon and others could not go anywhere and could not produce revenues for those companies. A route northward through Russia would put US oil companies at risk to changes in Russian politics and the Eastward route through China was not deemed secure enough since China is soon to become the second largest user of petroleum in the world after the United States.

Lastly Many of us have said numerous times that Bush was advised before hand that if he attacked Iraq he would destabilize the Middle East. He knew before he ignored all good advice that the neighbors would get involved and they are. He knew that it was most likely that Iraq would be divvied up between the Kurds, the Sunni's, and the Shiite and it will be. In the past I have written extensively the entire Middle East would blow and then the entire world would be involved in war.

I know that both Turkey and Iran are fighting Kurds that are looking for Autonomy but never really thought that a free Kurdistan would encompass areas of Iran and Turkey as well as Iraq. Knowing the close American Kurdish relationship I really have to rethink what Bush's real goal was here after I discovered an old story. Tell me what you think!

Kurdistan Observer: A Free Kurdistan! Recent nuances and nudges in government policy as well as tacit support for the most obscene anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism by the ruling political party of Turkey ought to cause the United States to begin to rethink its comprehensive policy toward Asia in general and toward one non-Arab minority in Iraq in particular: the Kurds. What, today, is the most intractable political problem in Iraq? It is the very real political and religious aims of Shiite, Sunni and Kurdish regions of the nation. Since the inception of Operation Iraqi Freedom, President Bush maintained that the unity of the nation of Iraq was non-negotiable. In politics and in war, however, nothing should be non-negotiable.

This sounds vaguely familiar but Iraq is not a nation in any real sense, it was rather three separate concentration camps each with differing degrees of oppression. An answer? Maybe but there are numerous counties involved and they all want their answer as a result there will be none I am afraid because peace and prosperity is not the goal but getting ones way and individual National Sovereignty is!

Gaddafi's compound has been hit and another 124 missiles fired, this is growing. soon it will be up to the rebels

Live feed in growing Libya crisis 110 cruise missiles fired from battleships and American and British subs. Libyan spokesman called this a barbaric action against peaceful citizens Are those the ones he armed with AK47's? Am I missing something?

Obama: U.S. military action against Libya has begun

Jet 'shot down' over Benghazi Watch, In pictures: Libyan fighter crashes, Uprising in maps

Gadhafi: UN Resolution on Libya 'Invalid' People are waking up in the middle opf the night as Gaddafi's forces go door to door and massacre them and they are listening to rocket fire.

Rebels say Gaddafi troops enter Benghazi

Tanks from pro-government and opposition sides headed toward each other today in the Libyan city of Benghazi as families -- fearing a massacre -- fled. Earlier, a jet fighter went down over the city. We have to get going! These people are being massacred and desperately need to see allied aircraft over their heads!

Qaddafi Warns West Not to Enforce Libya no fly zone so he can exterminate the citizens: Reports indicated that Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi’s forces were continuing to press their attacks against rebels in the east despite warnings that such moves would provoke military action from the West.

President Obama issued a stern and final warning to Moammar Gadhafi to stop all attacks against civilians. top the warnings already and get this going!

Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's ramshackle Libyan air force appears to be no match for the international forces heading for the region. Despite the braggadocio Gaddafi's army does not appear too ramshackle if we don't hurry up and act!

I finally heard it confirmed that French aircraft are finally over Libya. French President Sarkozy made the confirmation that the planes were over Benghazi and would protect the people against tanks and planes. He called for an immediate withdrawal of Gaddafi's forces. The future belongs to the Arab people not Gaddafy and it is our job to supply a chance at a future to the Libyan people! Gaddafi must go and the Libyan people must chose their own destiny!

updates: Libya coverage,Obama: U.S. military action against Libya has begun!

Live updates: Libya coverage

Obama: U.S. military action against Libya has begun

ICC prosecutor warns Gaddafi not to attack civilians The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court warned Gaddafi against committing war crimes against civilians. Now he says he wants to give them humanitarian aid. Too late!

Libya called for a cease-fire and a halt to military action on Friday, hours after the UN Security Council authorized the use of force to protect besieged civilians in Libya. Too late, now the world wants Gaddafi and his sons dead or before a war crimes court! Despite a cease fire declared by Gaddafi the scum and his gutter sniping scummy sons are killing as many civilians as they can and the people are screaming for immediate help!

Al Arabiya said several mosques, schools and residential buildings were badly damaged in the attack on the city. Misrata has been under siege by Gaddafi's forces for days. Water supplies have been cut off, there are frequent power cuts and communications are difficult, residents told Reuters earlier this week. They are murdering as many as they can even at the Hospitals before the international community can react!

The Libyan government has announced an immediate ceasefire, less than two hours after Prime Minister David Cameron said British fighter jets (tornadoes) would be deployed to enforce a United Nations no-fly zone.

The United Nations has spoken - and so too has Libya's ruling regime, telling the world it is not afraid of military intervention, which is now certain. Egypt is already helping and Qatar and UAE have also expressed an interest, very good!

Gaddafi killing as many civilians as he can, the no fly zone is on and Hillary is in Cairo promoting Democracy. The cold world of reality

UN approves no-fly zone over Libya; raids may begin Friday Well, well, well, this changes everything for everyone!

Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi's forces shelled the rebel-held city of Misrata Wednesday, killing civilians and creating havoc, an opposition leader told CNN. "He is bombing his way into the city and he doesn't care if all the people in Misrata are dead by the end of the day," Witness: Gadhafi forces pound rebel-held city This is in Misrata!

The BBC's Jon Leyne in Benghazi says that, after heavy bombardment, government soldiers have made their first ground assault on the town. The advance by troops loyal to Libya's leader comes ahead of the UN Security Council discussing a no-fly zone. Ground assault on Libyan rebels This is in Ajdabiya - the last town before rebel headquarters in Benghazi.

Those poor people are on their own! We are ignoring cries from the rebels and others for the US to take the lead and impose a no fly zone now before it is too late. Instead Hillary is in Egypt touring Tahrir Square meeting the people as she and Obama know Gaddafi is going to squash resistance and Egypt is the best shot at having a Democracy. The cold world of reality! Clinton tours Cairo's Tahrir Square, US secretary of state pushes for more democratic reforms and pledges help during two-day visit.

UN approves no-fly zone over Libya; raids may begin Friday Well, well, well, this changes everything for everyone! Now what?

Rebels vow to fight, retake Brega as efforts stepped up on no fly zone

France stepped up efforts on Monday to persuade world powers to impose a no-fly zone over Libya, as Muammar Gaddafi's troops battled rebel fighters for control of the strategic oil town of Brega.

Rebel forces in Libya say they have retaken the eastern town of Brega, capturing a number of elite government troops and killing many others.

Hague: Libya No-Fly Zone Decision Near

As you may know by now the Arab League called on the UN to impose a Libya no-fly zone and recognized Rebels as Libya's legal Government. This has to be a result of our close ties with Egypt's military but this is very concerning! Reporting from Cairo The Arab League decided Saturday to support a no-fly zone in Libya, paving the way for Western countries to decide whether to move forward with the plan. The decision, announced on Egyptian state television, ends weeks of debate among Arab nations, overcoming widespread resistance to the idea of Western intervention in an Arab state.

Egyptian state television said the Arab League also decided to open channels of communication with a Libyan rebel council based in the eastern city of Benghazi and to formally recognize the council as the representative of the Libyan people. This is big and I am afraid I see a war in another Muslim country but what are we to do? UPDATE 1-Arab League calls on UN to impose Libya no-fly zone

The African Union Peace and Security Council (PSC) on Friday expressed "deep concern" at the events in Libya as observers raised questions on the body's slow and reserved response to the crisis in the North African country. Libya: African Union Rejects 'Foreign Military Intervention'

The African Union says it wants to join efforts to stop the fighting in Libya, but the organization's Peace and Security Council rejects any kind of foreign military intervention. African Union seeks Libya talks

Obama: US is 'tightening the noose on Gadhafi'

The AU (African Union) was rebuked for its conservative statement on Libya as they should have been. Libya is a member and had a representative at the last meeting to see what to do about Libya. After what they have been doing to the people they should have been out immediately. The African Union despite the slaughter said they flatly deny any outside intervention so they better do something if they care about the Libyan citizens as they say they do.

I have been giving this a lot of thought! I remember originally with the ire of the West and their growing threats of forming a no fly zone that the Arab League and the African Union made the announcement that they did not want us to intervene and they were thinking about imposing a no fly zone on Libya themselves.

As this has been progressing and become more of a slaughter of any thought to be against the regime or complicit in the rebels cause disappeared or was mercilessly slaughtered with aircraft, tanks, bombs, and machine guns it became increasingly obvious that the rebels were on their own unless we came to the rescue. Despite the chest thumping and saber rattling we cannot and better not.

We are at war in 2 Muslim countries already. It will be easy for Gaddafi to paint it as another war against Islam and many in Libya and in the Middle East and Africa would join his call to action against us. It has become obvious that with many Muslim countries in Africa and the Middle East facing insurrection they are not going to come to the rescue of the Libyan people as they too are going to take a hard line if they have to. What happened in Egypt will very likely remain an anomaly. If I am wrong they better get going with that no fly zone and we can advise, give them intelligence, and supply them.

We can not militarily come to the rescue of every Nation where some of their population want freedom from the repression and dictatorship we once sanctioned as long as they did our bidding. I listened to one fighter last week hit it right when he said "we started it we will finish it" any outside intervention and we will side with Kaddafi to repel them. What to do? Someone better do something quick!

Muslim war #3 coming: Arab League calls on UN to impose Libya no-fly zone and recognizes Rebels as Libya's legal Government

Wow this has to be a result of our close ties with Egypt's military but this is very concerning!

Arab League backs no-fly zone in Libya Wow this is big and I am afraid I see a war in another Muslim country but what are we to do?UPDATE 1-Arab League calls on UN to impose Libya no-fly zone
The African Union Peace and Security Council (PSC) on Friday expressed "deep concern" at the events in Libya as observers raised questions on the body's slow and reserved response to the crisis in the North African country. Libya: African Union Rejects 'Foreign Military Intervention'

West splits as Gaddafi slaughters rebels, civilians, and Doctors

The military forces of Moammar Gadhafi on Friday pounded Ras Lanuf, the key oil port once in the hands of rebel forces, and its leadership confidently vowed the retake all territory from the opposition. That is putting it lightly, they slaughtered those people and bragged about it!

First country recognizes rebels as Libya's true government as Gaddafi forces intensify onslaught on Libyan rebels

Qaddafi bombs tanker in first blow to Libya's oil infrastructure, Rebel leader calls for 'immediate action' on no-fly zone

France on Thursday became the first country to formally recognize Libya's opposition National Transitional Council as the legitimate government. Seems to me like we are going to start recognizing the opposition as the legal Government and then find it necessary to come to their aid with a no fly zone.
First country recognizes rebels as Libya's true government as Gadaffi's war planes move deeper into the country What do you think?

A team working for the BBC in Libya said it was arrested, tortured and subjected to a mock execution by security forces of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's regime. BBC crew beaten by regime henchmen

Britain and Germany want EU emergency summit to call for Libyan leader to step down, as pressure grows over no-fly zone UK pushes EU to demand that Gaddafi quit

Qaddafi bombs tanker in first blow to Libya's oil infrastructure

The head of the interim government in eastern Libya pleaded Wednesday for the international community to move quickly to impose a no-fly zone over Libya, declaring that any delay would result in more casualties. "It has to be immediate action" I agree but it would be another war in a Muslim country regardless of how good our intention is. A no fly zone is war then we would have to go after resources on the ground. Rebel leader calls for 'immediate action' on no-fly zone I'd say we are at about the end of that regime but the people's suffering has just begun!

A no fly zone is not as easy as it sounds. All the surface to air missiles will have to be taken out and it is an act of war. It would need regional support in fact it should be done by the Arab League and the African Union who have expressed an interest. Regardless of the war monger outcry from Republicans in the United States we must keep hands off and boots of the ground. Our help should be logistic. If they can't do it, oh well!

No-Fly Zone Over Libya a 'No-Brainer'? Yes it is with Gaddafi using Russian built Hinds helicopter to machine gun and slaughter his so called people there are increasing calls for a no fly zone enforced by NATO or the US by Libyans rebels and war mongers such as McCain and Lieberman but that said a no fly zone can be tutored by NATO and the US but it is a must it must have an Arab and or African union face! Arab League Opposes Foreign Intervention in Libya Arabs may impose Libya no fly zone in cooperation with the African union

Someone in the inner circle must do the country a favor and kill the mad Gaddafi family! We are at a major and serious crossroads and must keep an African Libyan face on this fight and hopeful victory for the people whatever that entails! If Gaddafi is allowed to murder his own people who only want a voice in their future it will send the message around the entire world that all these revolts can be dealt with extreme violence in order to keep the status quo.

Bottom line on this issue, anything being done has got to be done by Libyan's, they must do the heavy lifting and if there is any outside help it must come from the Arab League and the African Union who we can reinforce and advise but that is it. This is the right and only way to go about it! Otherwise I do remember Russia and China saying it could be done and sanctioned if it was done By NATO so we will see!

Turkey should be allowed to join the EU! is Turkey at the crossroad or in the cross hairs?

Turkey will strengthen the EU and garner badly needed points from the Muslim world but there would be great negatives too for both the EU and Turkey.Turkey must join EU, says UK PM I agree Turkey will strengthen the EU and garner badly needed points from the Muslim world but I think there would be great negatives too and for both the EU and Turkey.

Despite call for united front Somali Piracy surges: There is a simple solution

EU naval officer: Piracy in Somali Basin "surges"

UN chief urges fight against piracy

EU's top diplomat warns over piracy ahead of Africa visit

Medvedev urges tougher measures for punishing pirates

There is a simple solution here now and Somalia has supplied it! It would be nice if we could feed the people there and get cooperation but that is not going to happen. The firing of mortars at Representative Payne's plane shows it is not even safe to be there. We do know where the Pirates come from. We know where they live. We know where they are. I listened to an expert and for once he had it right. Must be because he was foreign. Anyway he said he knows where they come from. He said it was two clans in northern Somalia. I hope to hell someone is talking to him on the sly.

Somali pirate's made $80 million from ransom's last year. We pissed them off! They have made a lucrative business of intimidating the world's shipping interests. It has become a game to them and they up to now have killed no one. We had to react the way we did but the ante has now been upped! Black Hawk Down taught us years ago we can not even help these people. We certainly can not leave them to fester either.

We can deal with this but I have not heard the right answers yet at least not from our so called experts. With one million miles of ocean to cover there, there is only one way to do this. We do not have enough ships in the world to monitor and secure all shipping interests in the world in the Indian ocean the way it is done now but a 3 pronged attack at the issue would bear instant results.

* 1. Let Puntland monitor the coastline and the gulf given the equipment they need. Seems like a good business for them and it would be a win, win for us. 2. Sounds like a great job for unmanned drones. One of the links above show we are thinking of attacking pirate bases. We should do that but should be watching with the drones land and sea areas. Lastly 3. This most definitely will work and I can not believe it is not employed. We have already moved the shipping lane to now 20 miles off the coast. That should be a safe zone! Anyone in it must be preregistered. It can be as wide as specified with a one mile buffer zone. Any little boat screwing around in there should be immediately sunk no questions asked. These guys are obvious as they did with the Alabama they harass ships for weeks. This is no game and we must start treating this like the serious issue it is!
