Capitalism run amok part 1: John Kenneth Galbraith

John Kenneth Galbraith was dead on when he said corporations were too powerful and had to be reigned in. Instead they are still getting bigger and more powerful. We are now a Corporatocracy controlled by the corporations. Our Supreme court gave them the right to spend as much money as they want to get what they want.

We are seeing right now the dangers to the planet and society of giving too much control to oil and energy companies. Remember when Bush and Cheney met secretly in the White House with the so called energy Czars? They decided what was right for them and their and Cheney and Bush's wallets while disregarding us and the planet. Cheney said they did not have to use the 1/2 million dollar acoustic valve that would have prevented this disaster.

The rest of the world by law has to use them but here they do not because this country belongs to the corporations not we the people. The companies that were working on the platform being questioned by Congress merely lied and put the blame on everyone else. Another worthless inquisition as those being questioned are in charge not that charade of a Congress. We have got to take our country back somehow!

In the 1950s, John Kenneth Galbraith cautioned that corporations were becoming too powerful. In the 1960s he warned President Kennedy about the dangers of unilateral military action abroad. Son of a gun!

He continually criticized conservative administrations' fiscal policies. He tried to bring environmental issues into the limelight. Son of a gun!

"He was a half of a century ahead of his time," said his biographer, Richard Parker.

His influence remained relevant long after his 1958 work "The Affluent Society" argued that the American economy produced individual wealth but did not adequately address public needs such as schools. Son of a gun!

The Canadian-born economist and unabashed liberal served as adviser to Democratic Presidents from Franklin D. Roosevelt to Bill Clinton and was John F. Kennedy's ambassador to India.

Galbraith, who was outspoken in his support of government intervention in social and economic problems, became a larger figure on the American political scene after World War II. How the hell can you justify ignoring a source of wealth like this?

Although an economist, his impact reached far beyond economic circles. He thought across disciplines, Benjamin Freeman, a Harvard economics professor and friend of Galbraith's said, "Not just in the field (of economics), but broadening the discourse to encompass the world at large."

With having advised the likes of Presidents Roosevelt, Kennedy, and Clinton I think he had a proven record of success.

His 1958 work "The Affluent Society" argued that the American economy produced individual wealth but did not adequately address public needs such as schools. Son of a gun! He hit the nail on the head, John Kenneth was 50 Years ahead of his time! We keep seeing the results of not listening to John Kenneth Galbraith.

President Clinton's Donor List spans Politics and the Globe but it will not present a conflict of interest or influence President Obama in any respect

Bill Clinton Releases Donor List

This speaks volumes to me: From a Republican on Bush's cabinet to Donors of millions throughout the middle east and around the world! Clintons donor list spans the world! I still firmly believe there will be no conflict of interest with Hillary as Secretary of State! Anyway The former president's charitable foundation has received as much as $131 million from foreign governments. The names are released to clear the way for his wife to become secretary of State.
Hoping to allay conflict-of-interest concerns as his wife prepares to become secretary of State, President Clinton released a donor list Thursday that shows he has raised as much as $131 million from foreign governments -- including Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Norway -- for the William J. Clinton Foundation.

More than 200,000 patrons that have given nearly $500 million since the foundation's inception in 1997 were identified by name only. The disclosure provides a window into a charity that had closely guarded the identities of its donors -- countries, companies and individuals with keen and sometimes less-than-altruistic interests in U.S. foreign policy. Clinton's foundation has focused on providing healthcare, particularly for people with AIDS in underdeveloped countries. It also works to promote economic growth in Africa and Latin America, combat global climate change, and solve such problems as childhood obesity in the United States. Many of the top donors have been major campaign supporters of Bill and Hillary Rodham Clinton. They include Los Angeles entertainment mogul Haim Saban, a strong backer of Israel; producer Stephen Bing; and Chicago billionaire Fred Eychaner.

The foundation also took in millions from foreign nationals, domestic and foreign corporations, and government entities that by law could not give to the Clintons' political campaigns. The Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office, Oman, Brunei, Qatar and Kuwait are among the high rollers that have given $1 million to $5 million. When President-elect Barack Obama selected Hillary Clinton, the junior senator from New York, to be his secretary of State, he made clear that her husband would have to disclose the foundation donors. In a statement late Thursday, Obama said Bill Clinton's disclosure "meets our goals of transparency and goes above and beyond in preventing conflicts." The list includes several businesses and individuals either from India or with strong ties to the country. Steel billionaire Lakshmi Mittal gave between $1 million and $5 million; Suzlon Energy Ltd. contributed in that range; and the Confederation of Indian Industry donated $500,000 to $1 million. A spokesman for the Pakistani Embassy shrugged off any question about Hillary Clinton's ability to fairly mediate the chronically tense relationship between his country and India, both nuclear powers.

"It does not cause concern. This has to do with charity and not with politics," Nadeem Haider Kiani said. The foundation's two biggest donors, at more than $25 million each, were the Children's Investment Fund Foundation, a London philanthropy started by hedge fund operator Chris Hohn; and UNITAID, an international drug purchase organization formed by Brazil, France, Chile, Norway and Britain to combat AIDS, malaria and other diseases in developing countries. AUSAID, the Australian government agency responsible for managing Australia's overseas aid program, donated between $10 million and $25 million, as did Saudi Arabia and a Dominican Republic government agency formed to fight AIDS. Individuals giving between $10 million and $25 million included Bing, Eychaner, Lions Gate Entertainment founder Frank Giustra, Gateway Computer founder Theodore Waitt of San Diego and Paychex founder Tom Golisano. Giustra is a Canadian mining businessman who in 2005 accompanied President Clinton on a trip to Kazakhstan. Giustra's company later signed deals for uranium projects in Kazakhstan, a country with an authoritarian government and a much-criticized record on human rights.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation also gave between $10 million and $25 million. Contributing between $5 million and $10 million were Saban, Norway and the Dutch Lottery. Other million-dollar-plus donors include Los Angeles billionaire Eli Broad; foundations established by billionaire George Soros and the Walton family (founders of Wal-Mart); and Victor Pinchuk, a Ukrainian steel tycoon and son-in-law to former Ukrainian President Leonid D. Kuchma, who was denounced by the State Department for "scandals, corruption and human rights violations." Blackwater Worldwide, which has the contract to protect State Department officials in Iraq, is listed as giving $10,001 to $25,000. The disclosure also lists some donations given by corporations and individuals that since have fallen far: American International Group Inc., the insurance company that was bailed out in the Wall Street crisis, gave in the $250,001-$500,000 range. San Diego trial attorney William Lerach, now in federal prison on kickback charges, gave between $100,001 and $250,000, as did the now-bankrupt Lehman Bros. Holdings Inc.

Most if not all of the high-dollar donors had been previously disclosed. In many instances, however, the amounts they gave had never been revealed. Other former presidents have not made such detailed disclosures. The list released Thursday served to jog memories that the Clintons and Obama might prefer to forget. Clinton's donor list spans the globe

* I must admit that world wide concerns for Health care and the poor around the world will in no wayinfluence or conflict with anything Hillary and the Obama Administration is trying to accomplish regardless of what party or country is concerned. Obama is the new Decider and I may be naive but I firmly believe he will not be influenced or swayed by those who donated to President Clinton's causes!

With important names increasingly invoked by Obama his chances skyrocket: Oprah, Gore, Bill Clinton, Rove? No wonder it's getting dirty! What's up?

What is Rove up to advising obama how to defeat Bush's nominee Hillary?

You know I can't possibly see the tremendous power Bush has amassed allowed in the hands of a Democrat and 100% expect the Presidency to be hijacked by anyone of many scenarios. With that said I still have an interest in who we nominate. I would prefer Edwards as our nominee and I would vote for Hillary if I had to in lieu of any Republican except Paul. Again, with that said I see Obama's star rising and his chances increasing daily as he is saying the right things and powerful names are being dropped in his favor, I just have to wonder what Rove is up to?

This is the first underhanded issue with Rove's attempt to influence the 2008 elections in an interview with Chris Wallace. Mr. Rove, how do you turn what sure looks like a strong Democratic trend for 2008 into a Republican victory? KARL ROVE: Yeah. Well, if you look at the polls that match the leading Democrat against leading Republicans, the margin that the Democrats enjoy disappears or gets very, very narrow. That is standard Rove BE.S. used to influence and direct attitudes and opinions. It is typical underhanded undeserved cockiness. I am sick of the crap!
And the question for both parties is going to be what do they do between now and next September, October and November in order to demonstrate a positive and optimistic agenda. ROVE: Well, first of all, taxes and spending, because this current Congress has got a lousy record on both. The Republicans, though, also have to begin to deal in a very visible and vocal and powerful way with issues that people care about and talk about around the kitchen table like, "What about the cost of my health care? How can my kid go to college? What do we do to create more jobs and energy in America?"

And I'm confident, seeing our candidates around the country and seeing our presidential candidates, that there's a willingness to engage in these issues which heretofore Republicans have got good ideas about but have not been willing to talk about. ROVE: Well, the Democrat Congress will be on the ballot. And it's because they have proposed big taxes, big spending, have failed to support our troops in the war, are undermining our intelligence collection efforts, have shut the Republicans out of any meaningful discussions to move the country ahead as they had promised to do during the campaign, and have demonstrated an utter lack of fiscal responsibility by recommending $205 billion in additional spending over the next four years and two of the biggest tax increases in American history — the repeal of the Bush tax cuts, which is over $1 trillion in tax increases, and then a tax reform plan from the Ways and Means Committee chairman which is $1 trillion in additional taxes. Please read the rest I couldn't take the BE.S.

I am so sick of the outright lying and underhanded ignorant games. This idiot has absolutely no compunctions! It will destroy our America! If there are elections Obama I am prepared to say will get the Democratic nomination. I remember when it was first announced that Oprah would be campaigning for Obama there were many who said she would not be much help. I was not one of them and I beg to Differ. She has powerful great public influence and I think she will gain him much support.
I am not going to invoke race or her reason for supporting him. You draw your own conclusion. I was offended that Obama brought race into the issue as we have enough problems. I happen to agree with him as I am appalled at the rise of racial tensions and Obama is trying to get black support away from Hillary but this is not the time or place to invoke racial justice

Anyway as we watch the campaign between Hillary and Obama get increasingly underhanded to our demise I wondered why! Barack Obama's surge over Hillary Clinton in Iowa marks a new turn in the race that Clinton is describing as the "fun" part — the month before voting begins for the Democratic presidential primary nomination.
Whether it's fun for the candidates remains to be seen, but the slugfest is undoubtedly underway. Obama announced on Monday that he is launching a new Web site to document all the attacks against him by Clinton's campaign. click here to view web site

The move comes after a harrowing day in which Clinton lambasted the Illinois senator for everything from a kindergarten essay to his health care plan and use of his political action committee to funds candidates in early primary states. On Sunday, Clinton's campaign issued a memo suggesting that Obama is lying when he told voters in Boston that he has has "not been planning to run for president for however number of years some of the other candidates have been planning for," a seeming reference to Clinton. Obama up in the polls and Rove is telling him how to win
Amidst this Obama is making wise moves as he said In an interview with Time Magazine that hit newsstands Friday, the Illinois Democrat said he'd offer the former president a job in his administration "in a second." "There are few more talented people," Obama said. In the same interview with Time, Obama also said he would be happy to offer Al Gore a position in his administration tackling climate change issues. "He has been working on this for decades," Obama said. "The country and the world caught up to him. Clinton and Gore in a Obama Administration

* Saying he will listen too and have that team in his Administration is a great plus and will go a long way towards getting him nominated. Rove though is advising him on the dirty Politics to sink Hillary and I have to wonder what he is up to. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is getting advice from an unlikely source: former top Bush aide Karl Rove. The man behind Bush's two presidential victories took to the pages of the Financial Times Sunday to offer the candidate some unsolicited suggestions on how to beat rival Hillary Clinton. In an open memo to Obama, Rove said the Illinois senator currently appears "weak and ineffectual," and should start sharpening his attacks on the New York Democrat.
"Stop acting like a vitamin-deficient Adlai Stevenson," Rove writes in reference to another Illinois Democrat who twice ran for president and lost. "Striking a pose of being high-minded and too pure will not work. Americans want to see you scrapping and fighting for the job, not in a mean or ugly way but in a forceful and straightforward way."

Rove also suggests Obama exploit the "real doubts" many Democrats feel about Clinton, take clear stances on the issues, and better articulate the type of change he is hoping to represent. Finally, Rove says Obama needs to decry what he calls Clinton's complaints that she is "being picked on." "Find a way to gently belittle her whenever she tries to use disagreements among Democrats as an excuse to complain about being picked on," Rove writes. "The toughest candidate in the field should not be able to complain when others disagree with her. This is not a coronation." "Blow the whistle on her when she tries to become a victim," he continues. "Do it with humor and a smile and it will sting even more." Rove advising Obama on defeating Hillary

* Knowing he is the father of these modern day Politics I have to wonder what Rove is up to? Knowing Bush wanted a Hillary nomination because they would defeat her what is Rove up to? Knowing he is 100% dedicated to Republican leadership what is going on? Can someone help me with this?

Hillary and Bill, our best bet at repairing Bush's damage if there is a chance now that I know her plan for Bill! What do you think?

I have been holding on to a story about Hillary and Bill for about a week. Looking over today's ever growing list of problems around the world it just blew me away. The entire friggen World is erupting and personally I blame it all on Bush and his warmongering new world order Forever War. I thought Al Gore is the only one capable of saving the country and the world but I am personally sickened that he must not realize how dire things are, how badly we and the world need him, and has not come forward.

That said, after seeing the countless messes around the world and many of them Bush created I am rethinking my own feelings about a Hillary nomination, her chances of surviving Rove and the Republican disinformation juggernaut, and weather or not she can do the job. I started thinking about what I have said about a Hillary Presidency right from the beginning and that is that the best thing about Hillary is that you get Bill too, a proven success at least as President.
That thought made me revisit this Hillary story because I now see a Hillary Presidency as able to happen and our best hope of surviving into the future and cleaning up after Bush if we even have elections in 2008.

I have to believe all the positives we are starting to hear about Hillary is because of her plan for Bill. The latest ABC News-Washington Post poll released Wednesday shows Sen. Hillary Clinton passing a significant political milestone. For the first time, a majority of Democrats nationwide supports Clinton for their party's nomination. Clinton's support in the Washington Post-ABC News poll jumped 12 points from last month, to 53 percent. She's 33 points ahead of her closest competitor, Sen. Barack Obama. That establishes Clinton as the clear national front-runner. Being front-runner means being a target of criticism from other Democrats.

"I heard Sen. Clinton say on Sunday that she wants to continue combat missions in Iraq. To me that's a continuation of the war," her Democratic presidential rival John Edwards said about her views on Iraq in a debate last month. Obama attacked her attempt to reform the health care system during her husband's administration. Anyway does it mean she's likely to get the nomination? Well, yes, if you look at the record. Which CNN did going back to the 1980 election. Every candidate who has gotten majority support in polls taken the year before the election has gone on to win the nomination. hillary passes milestone

If you read the story at the link you see the debate is why the sudden surge. I reiterate that it is because of her voiced plan for Bill. She now has my vote for sure. The plan in a minute! first her fundraising has also picked up! Sen. Hillary Clinton raised $27 million in the third quarter for her 2008 Democratic bid for the White House, a Clinton aide said Tuesday. All but $5 million of Clinton's funds can be spent trying to win the Democratic presidential nomination in the primaries, the aide said. More than 100,000 new donors contributed to the New York Democrat, the aide said. Clinton outpaced Sen. Barack Obama over the last three months, a reversal of positions from the second quarter. The turnout of Hillary being the nominee was declared a given by Bush and many others but I did not see it that way until I saw how she plans on using Bill. Now I see it as a foregone conclusion. fundraising also picks up because of Bill

This is what has given Hillary the kick and I am pleased at this. If Hillary Clinton wins the US presidency, Bill Clinton will be given the job of repairing America's damaged international reputation, the former president tells the Guardian in an interview today. Mr. Clinton, 61, reveals that his wife has said she would ask him to "go out and immediately restore America's standing, go out and tell people America was open for business and cooperation again" after eight years marked by unilateralist policies that have "enraged the world". For the first time in his political life, Mr Clinton says, "ordinary US voters in the heartlands are concerned about who would be most likely to restore America's standing in the world" in the wake of the Iraq war, lack of action on climate change and other policies.

"The average American knows instinctively that we have almost no problems in the world that we can solve all by ourselves," he says. "And that, I think, is helping her candidacy, because people believe - I think rightly - that if she were elected she would quickly move to restore our standing in the world, and tell people there may be a few occasions when we have to do something on our own, but our strong preference is going to be to be cooperative." The collective effect of American unilateralism has been "to enrage the world at the very moment when we had more support than we've had in recent memory, because of 9/11", Mr Clinton says.

Mr Clinton argues that American voters are tiring of a politics and media that have been under the sway of "the most ideological, rightwing element of the Republican party", leading to a national climate in which "three-dimensional reality" has been turned into "two-dimensional cartoons, and then [the rightwing media] try to get people to divide up on the basis of whether you like the cartoon or not ... I want the American people to stop rewarding the ideological wing of the Republican party, so we can have a centre-left party and a centre-right party and they can have real debates about real things."

Ms Clinton's presidential campaign is looking stronger than ever. One recent poll shows the New York senator opening up a 33% lead over her closest contender for the Democratic nomination, Barack Obama, and a Washington Post/ABC News poll released yesterday suggested she would beat the Republican frontrunner, former New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani, by a 51-43% margin in an election. Please read on

I am very happy that she has gone public about her plans for Bill. It isn't just our image Bush has damaged. He has purposely destroyed world order. I think Bill can help bring it back but he will certainly have his work cut out for him. I now believe that a Hillary nomination will happen and because of Bill. I also believe the 2 of them can survive Rove and the Republican disinformation juggernaut. Together Bill and Hillary are what we need to clean up the country and the world after Bush and his purposeful damage. What say you?

Gotta Love Bill: He's right but feigned Republican outrage makes Democrats back off, Bush's mess will be Divvied up as expected!

Gotta love Bill: He's right but feigned Republican outrage makes Democrats back off, Bush's mess will be divvied up, Watch!
CNN) — Former President Bill Clinton blasted Republicans Wednesday for their recent uproar over a MoveOn.org newspaper ad questioning Gen. David Petraeus' credibility, telling CNN's Anderson Cooper their "feigned outrage" was completely "disingenuous."
"This was classic bait and switch — focus on that as opposed to focusing on what's happened," the former president said. Clinton also highlighted a string of past questionable campaign commercials targeting Democrats, and suggested Republicans are acting hypocritically. "These are the people that ran a television ad in Georgia with [former Sen.] Max Cleland — who lost half his body in Vietnam — in the same ad with Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. That's what the Republicans did," he continued. "And the person that rode to the senate on that ad was there voting to condemn the democrats over the Petraeus ad.
"I mean, these are the people that funded the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. And the president appointed one of the principal founders of the Swift Boat ads to be an ambassador," Clinton added. "But they're really upset about Petraeus. But it was okay to question [Massachusetts Sen.] John Kerry's patriotism on a blatantly dishonest play that had dishonest claims by people that didn't know what they were talking about. CNN Political Ticker

You have to admit, regardless of what you think of Bill he is absolutely correct but it did it's work as all of a sudden The leading Democratic White House hopefuls conceded Wednesday night they cannot guarantee to pull all U.S. combat troops from Iraq by the end of the next presidential term in 2013. That means no immediate start of withdrawal! "I think it's hard to project four years from now," said Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois in the opening moments of a campaign debate in the nation's first primary state.
"It is very difficult to know what we're going to be inheriting," added Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York. "I cannot make that commitment," said former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina. I hate to say it but knowing Bush has a lot of warmongering to go before we have some chance of getting rid of him, who knows how deep Besides Iran he will have us before he is gone!

Sensing an opening, Sen. Christopher Dodd of Connecticut and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson provided the assurances the others would not. "I'll get the job done," said Dodd, while Richardson said he would make sure the troops were home by the end of his first year in office. I would like to see them started then but it is certainly impractical and very Political to make such a ridiculous statement.
Foreign policy blended with domestic issues at the debate on a Dartmouth College stage, and several of the contenders endorsed payroll tax increases to assure a stable Social Security system.Sen. Joseph Biden of Delaware and Rep. Dennis Kucinich of Ohio, as well as Dodd, Obama and Edwards all said they would apply the tax to income now exempted. Richardson said he wouldn't, and Clinton refused to say. "I'm not putting anything on the proverbial table" unilaterally, she said. Current law levies a 6.2 percent payroll tax only on an individual's first $97,500 in annual income.Biden also said he was willing to consider gradually raising the retirement age, which is now 67. Kucinich said that while he favors taxing additional income, he wants to return the retirement age to 65, where it stood until the law was changed in 1983.

I just want to say that I love the idea of taxing the people a little more, that Bush has been giving breaks too and only wish we could recapture what he gave away. I also say down with Biden and Hooray for Kucinich for wanting to roll back the retirement age to 65. That is the way it should be. It should be up to you not the Government to work beyond that and many of us would anyway.
Now I just want to say that in regards to the games Bush has played with his civil war in Iraq and the fact that it will spread throughout the entire middle east regardless of whether we stay there or pull out eventually, the Senate though it does not matter right now, has it right here. Implicitly criticizing the Bush administration's reliance on the Iraqi central government to unify the country, the U.S. Senate on Wednesday overwhelmingly endorsed the decentralization of Iraq into semi-autonomous regions.
The nonbinding measure sponsored by Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-Del.) -- which supports a "federal system" that would divide Iraq into sectarian-dominated regions -- won unusually broad bipartisan support, passing 75 to 23. It attracted 26 Republicans, 47 Democrats and both independents.
"Slowly but surely we're building a consensus in the Congress around a way forward in Iraq," said Biden, who worked with conservatives, such as Sen. Sam Brownback (R-Kan.), and liberals, such as Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), to get the measure through. "That is a very hopeful sign." After the vote, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) cast it as an indictment of Bush's war strategy, though the measure will not compel the administration to do anything differently. entire story

This breakup was only one of the givens Bush ignored to get our military back into the middle east. we will discuss Iran tomorrow. I do not understand Bush's aversion to the obvious breakup of Iran. the U.S. helped craft a federated system in Bosnia-Herzegovina that separated Serbs, Croats and Bosnian Muslims after years of bloody civil war. Despite Bush this is going to play out as expected, Sunni against Shiite with the Kurds in the north and they will all be absorbed by willing "partners" despite Bush staying in the middle east that will only worsen matters exponentially.

In light of today's events, telling and very scary quotes by great men of the past!

This is disconcerting, pay particular attention to Roosevelt, Einstein, Mayor Hylan, F Frankfurter, Woodrow Wilson, Schlesinger, Congressman McDonald, and Kissinger on NAFTA being necessary for the New World Order and damn Bush on the Constitution.

"In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

"Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States —in the fields of commerce and manufacturing—are afraid of somebody. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it." - Woodrow Wilson

The individual is handicapped by coming face to face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists. - J Edgar Hoover

By the time you become the leader of a country, someone else makes all the decisions. You may find you can get away with Virtual Presidents, Virtual Prime Ministers, and Virtual Everything. - Bill Clinton

The real rulers of Washington are Invisible and exercise power from behind the scenes. - Justice Felix Frankfurter - US Supreme Court Justice

"The real menace of our republic is this invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy length over city, state and nation. Like the octopus of real life, it operates under cover of a self created screen....At the head of this octopus are the Rockefeller Standard Oil interests and a small group of powerful banking houses generally referred to as international bankers. The little coterie of powerful international bankers virtually run the United States government for their own selfish purposes. They practically control both political parties." New York City Mayor John F. Hylan, 1922

The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know that a financial element in the large centers has OWNED the Government of the U.S. since the days of Andrew Jackson." (History points to the last truly honorable and incorruptible American President as "Old Hickory") - FDR to Col. E. Mandell House 11/21/1933

"Give me control of a Nation's money and I care not who makes the laws." - Mayer Amschel Bauer (Rothschild)

"The Trilateralist Commission is international ...(and)...is intended to be the vehicle for multinational consolidation of the commercial and banking interests by seizing CONTROL of the political government of the United States. The Trilateralist Commission represents a skillful, coordinated effort to seize COTROL and consolidate the four centers of power: Political - Monetary - Intellectual - and Ecclesiastical." - Barry Goldwater , U.S. Senator AZ. "With No Apologies"

"We shall have World Government. Whether or not we like it. The only Question is whether World Government will be achieved by conquest or consent." - James Paul Warburg , Foreign agent for the Rothschild dynasty - Major Player in the Federal Reserve act scam / Feb. 17, 1950 speaking before the U.S. Senate.

"We are grateful to the Washington Post, the NY Times, Time Magazine, and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings, and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years. It would have been impossible for us to develop OUR PLAN for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a World Government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual ELITE and World Bankers is surely preferable to the national auto - determination practiced in past centuries." - David Rockefeller CFR Kingpin, Founder of the Trilateral Commission, NOW Godfather / June 1991

"The age of Nations must end... The Government of nations has decided to order their separate sovereignties into ONE GOVERNMENT to which they surrender their arms." - United Nation's World Constitution

"The Technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more CONTROLLED society. Such a society would be dominated by ELITE, unrestrained by traditional values." - Zbigniew Brezhinsky , Advisor to 5 U.S. Presidents - Executive Director Trilateral Commission. "Between two Ages"

"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our Banking and Monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a Revolution before tomorrow morning." - Henry Ford

"We can't be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans" - Bill Clinton 1993

"The interests behind the Bush Administration, such as the CFR, the Trilateral Commission – founded by Brzezinski for David Rockefeller – and the Bilderberg Group have prepared for and are now moving to implement open world dictatorship within the next five years." - Dr. Johannes Koeppl – former official of the German Ministry for Defense and adviser to NATO.

"We are on the verge of a Global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order." - David Rockefeller

"Democracy tends to ignore, even deny, threats to its existence because it loathes doing what is needed to counter them," explained Revel. "It awakens only when the danger becomes deadly, imminent, and evident. By then, either there is too little time left for it to save itself, or the price of survival has become crushingly high." - Jean Francois Revel

"For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." - David Rockefeller, Memoirs , 2002

"Stop throwing the Constitution in my face! It's just a goddamned piece of paper!" - George Bush

If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny. - Thomas Jefferson

"I came to America because of the great, great freedom which I heard existed in this country. I made a mistake in selecting America as a land of freedom, a mistake I cannot repair in the balance of my lifetime." - Albert Einstein, 1947

"We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the world - no longer a Government of free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominant men." - Woodrow Wilson [U.S. President during World War I]

"We are not going to achieve a new world order without paying for it in blood as well as in words and money." Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., in Foreign Affairs (July/August 1995)

"The drive of the Rockefellers and their allies is to create a one-world government combining supercapitalism and Communism under the same tent, all under their control.... Do I mean conspiracy? Yes I do. I am convinced there is such a plot, international in scope, generations old in planning, and incredibly evil in intent." Congressman Larry P. McDonald, 1976, killed in the Korean Airlines 747 that was shot down by the Soviets

"In the next century, nations as we know it will be obsolete; all states will recognize a single, global authority. National sovereignty wasn't such a great idea after all." Strobe Talbot, President Clinton's Deputy Secretary of State, as quoted in Time, July 20th, l992.

"The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes." Benjamin Disraeli, first Prime Minister of England, in a novel he published in 1844 called Coningsby, the New Generation

"The governments of the present day have to deal not merely with other governments, with emperors, kings and ministers, but also with the secret societies which have everywhere their unscrupulous agents, and can at the last moment upset all the governments' plans. " British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli, 1876

"Today the path of total dictatorship in the United States can be laid by strictly legal means, unseen and unheard by the Congress, the President, or the people. Outwardly we have a Constitutional government. We have operating within our government and political system, another body representing another form of government - a bureaucratic elite." Senator William Jenner, 1954

"The New World Order will have to be built from the bottom up rather than from the top down...but in the end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece will accomplish much more than the old fashioned frontal assault." CFR member Richard Gardner, writing in the April l974 issue of the CFR's journal, Foreign Affairs.

"... when the struggle seems to be drifting definitely towards a world social democracy, there may still be very great delays and disappointments before it becomes an efficient and beneficent world system. Countless people ... will hate the new world order ... and will die protesting against it. When we attempt to evaluate its promise, we have to bear in mind the distress of a generation or so of malcontents, many of them quite gallant and graceful-looking people." H. G. Wells, in his book entitled The New World Order (1939)

"Further global progress is now possible only through a quest for universal consensus in the movement towards a new world order." Mikhail Gorbachev, in an address at the United Nations (December 1988)

"We believe we are creating the beginning of a new world order coming out of the collapse of the U.S.-Soviet antagonisms." Brent Scowcroft (August 1990), quoted in The Washington Post (May 1991)

"...This regionalization is in keeping with the Tri-Lateral Plan which calls for a gradual convergence of East and West, ultimately leading toward the goal of "one world government'....National sovereignty is no longer a viable concept..." Zbigniew Brzezinski, National Security Advisor to President Jimmy Carter.

"NAFTA is a major stepping stone to the New World Order." Henry Kissinger when campaigning for the passage of NAFTA.
