Japan like me warns of China's military
Japan warns of China's military rise People keep saying I am making too much about China and Japan's recent row over the capture of one of China's fishing boats by China but this is no joke. We do not have to be concerned about China responding militarily to us but I too am concerned that in one respect or the other Japan does and thus we will be dragged in and it wouldn't be pretty.
Japanese protesters accuse China of invading disputed islands
Cooler heads better prevail as this is no joke and it continues to ratchet up.I once again better reiterate the big picture and seriousness of an issue! This is no joke or normal diplomatic gamesmanship. Normally when we think of problems in Asia we think of North Korea and Taiwan. We forget about Japan's relationship but always China is in there somewhere.
China, Japan fishing boat standoff deepens amid delayed talks As you saw above it just keeps getting worse.
With no end to the fishing boat dispute in sight, relations between Asia's two biggest economies are in danger of backsliding. Taiwan has been trying to get involved in this too making their claims Row sees China cancel Japan visit it has been tit for tat ever since even though the boats captain has been released. Both sides want apologies and both want the other to pay. This has got to stop!
Remember the "incident this past spring with the 10 Chinese warships including destroyers and submarines off Okinawa? This put a new light on things to me. Look at the big picture once again. Japan has got to be rethinking their constant effort to get the US Military to leave Okinawa. It will behoove Japan to have us there. This puts a whole new light on China's turn around on Iran, their monetary finagling, and their last minute turn around on whether or not to attend the nuclear summit. This latest row really has to have Japan rethinking.
Remember Just prior to this sudden mood and cooperation change with the US we were being threatened for arming Taiwan, for meeting with the Dalai lama in Washington, and threatened with slowing our economic recovery. I fell for the line of thought that the so called experts were floating that China realized that if we go down so do they.
Cooperation between China Russia and the US is critical! Obama was right to say our ties will shape the future of the 21st century. The US and China are eying each other and moving very cautiously as they try to strike a balance. A few years back I began to view our relationship with China as the most important in the world. Not because we drove each others economy but because if at the time with Bush's instigation to war with Russia China due to the fact of how our 2 economies are so intertwined that if something happened China would side with us not Russia. I never imagined that today problems between China and Japan would be the issue.
As we discussed there have been at least three cases of groups of Chinese military ships crossing through the area of Okinawa since November 2008, first 4 ships then 6 then 8 and now 10 including destroyers and submarines. That case appeared to be the first involving surfaced submarines. The group of 10 ships, including the submarines, was observed about 90 miles (140 kilometers) southwest of Okinawa in international waters.
Two missile destroyers and three frigate ships from the same group were spotted participating in a flight exercise of carrier-based helicopters April 7-9, the Defense Ministry's Joint Staff Office said in a statement The war ships were in international waters but close to Okinawa and Japan was not notified. That area as you may know has natural resources under the ocean and islands claimed by both Nations. It is important that we stay in Okinawa as China plays a more important role in Asia and around the world as she gains strength militarily and economically as we just discussed. Remember our discussion on the importance of China and the US staying together to move successfully through the 21st century
We must maintain as much of the old world balance and order as we can to maintain a balance as we try to move progressively and successfully through the 21st century! I know of China and Japan's past, I know of the still ongoing Island disputes, the disagreement over natural gas in another area of the East China Sea, I also remember that with China's economic clout rising she took the number 3 seat on the world bank and we talk constantly that China is taking the leading role in Asia and Asia relations.
Being in a superior position puts one in a unique position of power and that power must be handled gracefully, with humility, responsibly, and not abused. That is something I taught all my sons and America under Bush did a lousy job of handling. I am a little worried that China too is getting a little too heavy handed and abusive with her new position of power and beginning to take what she wants instead of being content with what she has which is what I constantly lecture has to be the case if we are to have a future. The time when man and the planet could handle war and colonialism is over, period or else!

In Afghanistan, troops continue to kill important Taliban militants while to their demise Pakistan is still working to make NATO fail
In Afghanistan, troops kill Taliban militants
Pakistan finally opened the border but I can't be the only one that got a a very negative message from their allowing the destruction of around 100 trucks full of goods and the deaths of their own people trying to make a living.
Cheney Bush and Condi did all this. I discussed it ad nauseum and I have to get things together to go down to the VA and that takes most of a day but that is why Afghanistan became known as Pipestan. Everyone forgets but remember the secret White House meetings with the so called energy Czars?
They had meetings with the Taliban in the WH and in Crawford. After the Taliban said no to Bush putting an oil pipeline through Afghanistan Bush threatened to attack them and what a surprise, 9/11 was allowed to happen and we did. This is well worth a quick read at least after the Kennedy stuff but did you ever read we do not have clean hands in Afghanistan
This is another small part of this entire total package mess that is barely beginning. I was glad to hear Shahzad say that at his trial but the stupid idiots in charge hear just laugh it off and dismiss it as the talk of frustration. They don't have a frigging clue!
The Taliban, Al Qaeda, Islamists, terrorists, whatever you want to label them are playing. This is fun to them, this is what they want to do for a living, kill the infidel. This is the End of days fight they have long called for and right where they want it.
I gave you the link before but remember the Taliban get their first wish?
We have to get the hell out of there! Pakistan refused to open the Border and all our supply trucks were sitting ducks and got destroyed even though NATO apologized for accidentally killing 2 soldiers. I am more concerned than ever for their 65 or so nukes though we do have black ops there ready to secure them if necessary. That as you know will be another can of worms and make things much worse!
A month ago Gates said if need be we can depend on the navy for more forces if needed as they are not over extended. I beg to differ with that but it is becoming more obvious daily that we are losing Pakistan and look at Iran. WTF! We are going to end up going after both of them from the gulf, watch. At one time we had 5 carrier battle groups in the Gulf and France's Charles De Gaulle guarding the mouth.
Watch to see if there is another build up coming and refueling aircraft coming from Diego Garcia. that will be the tip off! I do not like the way this is looking and as I keep saying, this is barely beginning. Just think of the ramifications of all this at the same time, our Political BS and dire financial and economic condition, and world players at large.
We have been in Afghanistan going on 10 years over a lie and it is barely beginning and getting worse and worse as this forever war is barely beginning!

Remind Russia of their past desire to join NATO and offer it to them
Russia Demands Lifting Of US Blockade Against Cuba bans Iranian investments in nuclear industry, excellent, invite them to join NATO ASAP!
Over a year ago after Obama met with Dmitri Medvedev and proposed Russia and the US press the reset button after the mess Bush made of Russian US relations stupidly the issue being discussed was that Russia was trying to get control of the reset button. I am happy to see they have under Medvedev
We have unity with Obama and Medvedev instead of the race to war with Putin and Bush! Obama started this new detente, this new cooperation as had to be the case to send the message. Obama was criticized for it by Republicans as usual but it was the right thing to do. I am glad to see Russia under Medvedev has picked up the baton.
I like the way this new relationship is going, now one up them! Put the onus on Russia! Put them to the test and advertise it to the world. Supposedly Russia views the expansion of the alliance to include former Soviet republics as a direct threat to Russian interests but are ready again to seek together responses to modern challenges and threats to international security. Russia says ready to resume NATO ties
NATO is not a threat to Russia. We need Russia as an ally to fight the so called war on terror in Afghanistan and around the world and to successfully proceed through the 21st century. Remind Russia of their past desire to join NATO and offer it to them. There is only one choice! end all this! Invite Russia to join NATO. This is not a new idea.
Once upon a time, it was openly entertained in diplomatic circles East and West. In late 1991, the final days of the U.S.S.R Boris Yeltsin stunned a NATO meeting by sending a letter with this unilateral declaration: "Today we are raising a question of Russia's membership in NATO.
" Tom Friedman reported for the New York Times at the time, were "too taken aback ... to give any coherent response." In the ensuing years, as Yeltsin with characteristic bravura continued to raise the prospect, the West kept fumbling for a reply.
NATO'S LAST CHANCE The West Should Invite Russia to Join NATO ...<.a>
Let Russia join NATO - Los Angeles Times
Even Putin, in his first days in the Kremlin, seized on the issue. Instead of taking the perfect opportunity to unite the world Reagan and at least the Bush's chose to make a worse enemy of Russia and widen the gap between the west and Russia by instigating them to war.We had the perfect opportunity to unite the world in peace and our past leaders chose to divide it further by trying to rule the world.
We must put an end to this desire to rearm to fight each other, threaten each other, dominate each other. World unity is the only way for a successful future.

Red sludge only latest Hungarian calamity first the Turks, then the Austrians and finally the Soviets dominated for centuries
Red sludge reservoir 'ready to collapse' as Hungary fears 2nd toxic spill
Red sludge only latest Hungarian calamity
I thought 180 million gallons of that toxic radioactive sludge dumped in the towns, country side, and water supply was horrific. Environmental groups are now warning of other potential disasters, among them seven storage ponds about 60 miles (100 kilometers) northwest of Budapest that hold 12 million tons of sludge accumulated since 1945, more than 10 times the amount that spilled last week
A high risk of another up to 500,000 cubic meters of even thicker sludge escaping the reservoir due to a deterioration of a wall in the stricken part of the reservoir. the interior minister informed us that cracks have appeared in the northern wall of the reservoir, whose corner collapsed, which make it likely that the entire wall will collapse. Hungary's premier says red sludge reservoir walls 'very likely' to collapse
Hungary raced against time on Sunday to erect a dam around a ruptured reservoir and divert a new wave of toxic sludge that threatens to overwhelm already devastated villages. Remember the Danube and the already dead tributaries leading to it!
A huge and more toxic torrent will escape damaged reservoir soon, government warns, as neighboring countries wait for effect on Danube.Hungary braces for second wave of toxic sludge

Into the lost crystal caves airs tonight at 8:pm
NGC goes inside one of the greatest natural marvels on the planet - a giant crystal cave described as Superman's fortress, with magnificent crystals up to 36 feet long and weighing 55 tons. A team of experts venture into the cavern, enduring scorching-hot temperatures that could kill a human after just 15 minutes of exposure. They'll push the boundaries of physical limitation to explore a crevasse that could lead to another - and perhaps more spectacular - crystal cave. Read more
But remember this? We discussed this but please catch the program if you can
Unbelievable! Remember the movie journey to the center of the earth based on the Jules Verne story from 1959 with the fabulous larger than life wonders below the earth? I never heard of this! It was recently accidently discovered when a hole was knocked in a mine. It is thought of as an inconvenience and there are plans to flood it when the mine plays out. I hope they can not do it! This is a one time happening! Watch the video!
Unbelievable pictures of the cave
Despite unbearable conditions in the Crystal Cave someone has managed to get in there and caused some destruction. I was happy to hear the cave was sealed off! Please look at the pictures and watch the video. This is surreal and I was not aware there was anything like this on earth!
In the new issue of the journal Geology, García-Ruiz reports that for millennia the crystals thrived in the cave's extremely rare and stable natural environment. Temperatures hovered consistently around a steamy 136 degrees Fahrenheit (58 degrees Celsius), and the cave was filled with mineral-rich water that drove the crystals' growth.
Modern-day mining operations exposed the natural wonder by pumping water out of the 30-by-90-foot (10-by-30-meter) cave, which was found in 2000 near the town of Delicias (Chihuahua state map). Now García-Ruiz is advising the mining company to preserve the caves.
Knowing they pumped the water out Pumping the water back in to preserve them is only right and they blocked the entrance to prevent further destruction! Also it is near the Town of Delicias in Chihuahua State!

Avatar Director James Cameron Tours Tar Sands; Calls for Halt to destroying Canada for oil but no one can stop the self destruction of man
I agree and disagree with Cameron primarily because there is no way in hell I see any search for oil regardless of how destructive it is coming to a halt. Tar sands oil is the dirtiest oil on earth. It requires clear cutting ancient forest, digging up the dirt, and using massive amounts of water and energy to extract oil from it.
The process leaves behind giant toxic lakes and has been linked to cancer in nearby communities. The proposed 2,000 mile Keystone XL pipeline would carry tar sands oil across major sources of drinking water and farmland in the United States. Avatar Director James Cameron Tours Tar Sands; Calls for Halt to Project
I first wrote about Canada's oil sand and our massive amounts of shale oil 5 years ago when conventional oil source were getting increasingly scarce, expensive, and in jeopardy. I was unaware that we had more oil reserves than the entire world combined and have been mining and trying to find economical ways to convert it to usable oil since the 19th century. Under Bush that research was secretly stepped up while we were off war mongering in all the worlds oil areas.
What a coincidence huh? Look at this please!
As you look around the world and notice Bush and now Obama screwed with every oil producing Nation on earth you have to wonder why he was not concerned with gumming up the world's oils supply including ours or so most think! A war in the middle east including the Gulf would keep oil from flowing even to America especially if it's nuclear right, wrong!
I wrote this because oil was sky rocketing. You would laugh because oil was at $105 per Barrel and moving rapidly largely because of Bush was at $117 per Barrel and racing skyward. Thus I felt compelled once again to discuss this. Opec is right it is not their fault. They are supplying plenty. The bottle neck is ours and on purpose to keep the price inflated and that is the refineries. The deflating dollar doesn't help either.
Remember when the idiot was in Saudi Arabia trying to blame our worsening condition on them. Absolutely 100% everything is his fault. Oil alone was $28 per Barrel when he started. Then because of that idiots war mongering and mismanagement of his oil friends and everything else it was $105 and like everything else will get a lot worse. look at the list of Opec countries and think about his interference.

oil producing Nations Bush screwed with
You want to wonder why we are still preparing to block the worlds largest oil producing region with a war in the entire middle east until you remember something Bush initiated in 2005 while telling no one and I have gotten many investment offers on it. I was a bit surprised to find out the following on Shale oil!
A headline on an old newspaper reads: Oil Shale Development Imminent,". That edition of the defunct Grand Junction News, was published at the dawn of the 20th century. More than a hundred years later, instability is roiling world oil markets and shale oil and oil sand fever is again rising. Our shale oil is in the geologic region known as the Piceance Basin, part of the Green River Formation that stretches across the rugged plains of northwestern Colorado and parts of Wyoming and Utah.
There is no dispute that a thousand feet below the isolated ranch country here on Colorado's western slope lie almost unimaginable oil riches. It's locked in sedimentary rock -- essentially immature oil that given a few million years under heat and pressure would produce pools of oil easy to extract. Canada is pristine to Canadians and that area is pristine to me but we do not matter only corporations, industry, and Government.
The Energy Department and private industry estimate that a trillion barrels are here in Colorado -- about the same amount as the entire world's known reserves of conventional oil. The entire Green River Formation might hold as much as 2 trillion barrels.
supposedly secretly pushed by the Bush administration and legislation from Congress , and still ongoing under Obama, the energy industry is mobilizing to unlock the secret of oil shale. As it has before, shale oil holds out the hope of a USA no longer dependent on foreign oil. Shell Oil is engaged in a multiyear test of a new technology for extracting the oil. Previous efforts that were uneconomical and environmentally destructive entailed mining the rock, crushing it and heating it above ground to release the oil.
Shell's new process involves sinking heaters deep underground, cooking the rock at 700 degrees and recovering the oil and natural gas with conventional drilling. For a decade, Shell has been ramping up its research on private property here. It is also one of a handful of companies vying for research and development leases on larger tracts of federal land nearby. That could lead to full-scale development across 1,200 square miles of western Colorado.
Early results are promising, says Terry O'Connor, a vice president in the oil giant's unconventional resource division. But, he admits, "no one has been able to develop oil shale on a commercially sustainable basis.
Back to Canada: Legendary oilman T Boone Pickens said years ago he doesn't believe that the oil sands are an effective substitute for our fuel needs. Pickens said that huge development costs and a tight labor supply will prevent the Alberta oil sands and other unconventional means of production from covering the shortfall in supply. That said, Pickens holds a big stake in both the Canadian Oil Sands Trust [TSX:COS.UN] and Suncor Energy.
When Pickens was in the Alberta oil sand fields in the 60's somebody said this isn't going to work, it isn't possible. It'll all have to be subsidized to a level, said, before they'd make money you'd have to have $5 oil," Pickens says laughing. "We never thought it would happen."
Two years ago I did a story on shale oil and oil sand but it did not go over well because people felt it would never happen. Knowing all the research and development that has been put into these alternatives!
Knowing that T Boone Pickens had invested multiple millions in this! Knowing that between us and Canada we have the more reserves than the entire world combined!
Knowing that he said refining it would not be profitable until fuel hit $5 per gallon, you have to believe that $5 gas will be here before you know it, Canada, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado be damned, they are going to destroy what they have to in order to keep the oil flowing any way they can. Good luck James Cameron! Shale oil and oil sand

We're in danger of losing the war in Pakistan and that is grave!
Pakistan formally lodges protest with NATO as supposed Militants Attack Dozens of NATO Supply Trucks After Borders Shut
Pakistan formally lodges protest with NATO
Pakistani Militants Attack Dozens of NATO Supply Trucks After Borders Shut
The US is increasingly taking matters into its own hands inside Pakistan. The Haqqani network and their increasingly foreign fighters have become the main focus after 9 years of fighting. The Haqqani Network's North Waziristan leadership -- usually called the Miram Shah Shura consists of a number of Haqqani family members and closely associated long-serving commanders.
At the top of the network is Sirajuddin Haqqani, who oversees the group's political and military activities and is the main liaison to the Mullah Muhammad Omar led Quetta Shura Taliban, the Taliban's leadership body (named for the capital of Pakistan's Baluchistan province). He is also one of the network's liaisons to Pakistani Taliban figures and al-Qaeda.
He travels regularly into Afghanistan to coordinate with field commanders and occasionally to Peshawar and South Waziristan to connect with militants there. Remember Bowe Bergdhal? There are many field commanders in Afghanistan, but turnover is high because many get killed or captured. The most prominent is Mullah Sangin, who is believed to be holding Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl a captured U.S. soldier and Zakim Shah the movement's shadow governor of Khost province. Inside the Haqqani network
Jalaluddin Haqqani legendary leader who fought the Soviets and his son, Sirajuddin who directs operations are increasingly the targets of drones and now manned NATO aircraft in Pakistan as the Pakistani's have been leery to go in the area for whatever reason. Many are being killed, I heard over 80 in a week with no civilian casualties.
I wish we would quickly kill the Haqqani's, both Jalaluddin and Sirajuddin and leave the rest to Pakistan as our invasion of their country even to kill Taliban and Al Qaeda fighters who were known killers of NATO forces may be the straw that broke the camels back.
I would hate to see this unite the Haqqani network with Pakistan against us as Pakistan is furious and rightly so though it may be a ploy to placate civilians. I wish we would just come home. I do not want to see the scenario I discussed many times and that is taking on Pakistan from the Gulf and don't forget Iran. Damn, Damn, Damn!

The unification of world Religion must happen as they are all one
Moderate Muslims must rein in radical brethren, Religion should unify, not conquer and divide. About time and we must too!
Moderate Muslims must rein in radical brethren
Message of the Week: Religion should unify, not conquer and divide
It's about damn time! Some of us have been discussing tht even before 9/11 and most definitely since. We have instead turned this into a war on Religion depending on whose side you are on. Perverted Christianity on one side and perverted Islam on the other with all those millions of peace loving true followers of their perspective Religions caught in the middle.
I know our so called leaders are fond of saying we will fight the extremists wherever they are that means the world is the front in the so called war on terror. We are not winning this so called war on terror it has not even really begun. Our so called leaders and war mongering Republicans are fond of saying that we did nothing to deserve the attack on 9/11 but on the contrary we did everything to deserve it. This has been a long time coming. 1400 years of dissension has come to a head and it will not be quelled easily as you see.
Islam was established by Muhammad in order to give Muslims a formal religion and sense of equality and belonging with the Jews and Christians. It failed and Muslims have never been able to gain equal footing or be willing to accept their role in the worlds society.
The Christian Crusades to take back Jerusalem turned into a blood bath against Muslims. Our nation was born during the enlightenment and industrialization completed a gap between our societies which will never close unless the peace lovers and strict followers of Christianity and Islam reign in the hardliners in both Religion that goes for the so called fundamentalist and others in the now perverted Republican party.
Religion we are told is the savior of societies and the world. However in the past it has been the source of horror to practitioners practicing a different version than the one that felt it was in charge. Today is no different and seemingly getting worse. Religious wars as we know from experience are the longest and the dirtiest.
In the past I have said that the only way this is going to end is if we reign in the extremists. We are actively making at least a token effort to do that but can do much more. Islam however is not doing anything. Osama Bin Laden is solely responsible for all this war death and destruction. He's no frigging hero to Muslims. They should hunt him down themselves and end this!
Osama's war has nothing to do with the sanctity of Islam being violated though it was for centuries. This has nothing to do with Islam or Jihad. This all boils down to communications and I agree but Islamists are not interested in communicating. They are interested in our destruction. violence is their communication.
Osama stop bring shame on Islam. Stop killing your own people. Stop bring death and destruction on them. You forsook Mullah Omar who invited you into Afghanistan to give you protection. Bin Laden used Afghanistan for his own personal war against the west, the US, and Israel. This is not Islam , this is not Jihad. Restore Muslim integrity, end this now!
Osama is not going to do that as you know so it is up to law abiding Islam to reign him in, Al Qaeda, the Taliban, all of their extremists reaching out with violence to create death and destruction even to the very people they are supposed to be vindicating. Religion like the rest of the world must remember what they are supposed to be about and accept difference and lie in peace. There will be no future unless they all do!
The ultimate destiny of all the Worlds Religions is for them to be finally reconciled with one another and unified into a single whole. The necessary key for the realization of this difficult process is the propogation and wide spread acceptance of the original truth behind all Religion, namely the eternally recurring idea that Everyone is God. The unification of world religion

Afghan railroad almost complete, get a UN mandate and get China's military in there to defend their interests!
I have to tell you. I just spent a couple hours researching the China Afghanistan Border along with the railroad and China's considerable interest in Afghanistan. During Afghanistan's war with Russia China cooperated with the US and was sending arms and supplies to the Mujaheden. They have a small border with Afghanistan and a crossing that was closed in 2001 because we attacked Afghanistan.
Reading up on it finds that there really is no road in Afghanistan to the border and access in China is very rudimentary. Reopening the border has been proposed as has even extending the railroad into China by Afghanistan. Of course the future of any kind of mining depends on the security of the country let alone extending a railroad into China.
I would love to see it but I do not see the Taliban allowing it to happen though up to now they have not interfered with the building of the railroad which has been heavily guarded by Uzbeks. Up to now we have been defending China's interests but I firmly believe it should be up to China to defend the railroad not us. I do think it is a winning idea because there is no way I can envision the Taliban or Al Qaeda wanting Chinese troops in Afghanistan.
I understand China has sent peace keepers around the world in the past but never a military defensive force. It is time! I understand they may but will only do so under a UN mandate. Well what are we waiting for? Get that mandate as China's military should be helping too and the Taliban could keep their military out by stopping their efforts to keep out foreigners. Afghan Railroad
I have to reiterate what we already discussed as this really puts their mineral wealth in a new perspective at least for me!
Afghanistan the Saudi Arabia of Lithium The China of Capitalism, success or failure of tribalism is up to them, Afghanistan the curse of natural resources! As you know, US geologists found $1 trillion of mineral reserves in Afghanistan, the deposits, which include large veins of iron, copper, cobalt, gold and lithium are so large they could alter the Afghan economy, American geologists said after discovering the resources.
Plans were announced to start mining copper in the Aynak valley, southwest of Kabul, which holds one of the world’s biggest untapped copper deposits, estimated to be worth up to $88_billion (£44 billion) – more than double Afghanistan’s entire gross domestic product (GDP) in 2007.
In November, 2008 a 30-year lease was sold to the China Metallurgical Group for $3 billion, making it the biggest foreign investment and private business venture in Afghanistan’s history.
However despite the latest finds, with no mining industry in place it would take decades to develop an infrastructure to exploit the vast mineral reserves which are scattered throughout the country including along the border with Pakistan where some of the most intense fighting has taken place. US geologists find $1 to $3 trillion of mineral reserves in Afghanistan
China‘s involvement in Afghanistan is more than overdue! US troops providing security for China’s monstrous copper mine
China is mining what may be the largest deposit of copper on the planet. They stand to make tens of Billions and we are defending their interests.
For now this is justified as we have to be in the area anyway but once China builds a railroad in order to move the copper to port that better come to an end. You can bet every inch of that railroad and port is going to need 24/7 security. It will be a major target as the Taliban seek to keep what is Afghanistan’s theirs!
China should have her troops there providing her own security at the very least. If they were helping in Afghanistan as they should they would be less inclined to be trying to gum up the works for us everywhere else. We must make this a world effort if we are to succeed. I am happy to see we are moving in that direction.
In closing there are 1 to 3 trillion dollars worth of mineral resources alone. Enough to make them a power house if they could only come together in some manner and had someone in control of the country that knew how to capitalize from it. They are throughout Afghanistan including the Afghan Pakistan border which is significant to me.
There is enough lithium alone to power laptops computers Ipads Ipods everything you can think of in the age of lithium batteries, the 21st century. The heck with copper mines pipelines and oil and gas this could force the Taliban into being the China of Afghanistan allowing Capitalism to facilitate their preferred lifestyle of tribalism as the Chinese have used it to further communism.
Good luck trying to reach those riches and getting them to market!

Anti-outsourcing bill fails in Senate, time for Unemployment And Economics 101
Anti-outsourcing bill fails in Senate because of Lieberman along with four Democrats who voted with a united Republican caucus to block the bill
Unemployment And Economics: Outsourcing Bill Killed In The Senate
Do we need help? bring those companies back to help the people not the companies, let them adjust!
The overall poverty rate climbed to 14.3 percent, or 43.6 million people, the Census Bureau said last Thursday in its annual report on the economic well-being of U.S. households, plus the jobless rolls just increased by 465,000.Over? We have to get our manufacturing baser back and put average Americans back to work.
The share of Americans without health coverage rose from 15.4 percent to 16.7 percent or 50.7 million people mostly because of the loss of employer provided health insurance during the so called recession. If the tea party gets in control they will dwarf those numbers. Foreclosures were up again last month. The recession is over? Over and ended over a year ago? Tell that to the millions that know it is on going and see no improvement in sight. 1 in 7 Americans live in poverty
I started Blogging in 2005 as a means of talking with those that care about we the people, average Americans, those who live in the trenches of society and want to hear the truth and discuss that and how we really feel as we never ever hear it. Little did I know no one wants to hear it and no one cares. That goes for all societies all around the world.
The so called experts of the old world the pre 9/11 world became fond of saying this is a new world it will never be the same, we must adapt we must overcome this new world to survive as we are and proceed through the 21st century.
Those fools in the Government, the media, and corporations do not care about us or the truth only making money and playing their games. They do not have a clue and do not care period! Times have changed! I stopped writing books and started this Blog as a means of talking daily because ours and the worlds situation was devolving so rapidly I could not keep up with it. It keeps getting worse!
Watching the inept lying mindless Bush run and get elected "supposedly" along with his crew of lying enablers to control and change societal and world order to a new societal and world dis-order was frightening and absolutely no surprise in total including the timing of this so called recession and world financial collapse was frightening.
The entire lie we have lived since 9/11 so Bush could get the power he needed to get in the Middle East and do his world altering war mongering will never be admitted to or known, Along with the entire mess Bush created, the economic disaster was held off with bail outs and kick backs until Bush got out of office and Republicans could blame the whole mess they and Bush created on Obama and the Democrats, it worked.
I started warning in 2007 of the impending financial disaster when Bush Greenspan, Kramer, and other so called leaders the economy and the stock market were senselessly playing up how great things were. It was very exasperating!
Again, I was frightened at the portend of things to come and the truth was being ignored, maybe not seen, but it was frighteningly obvious we were rudderless and all our so called leaders only cared about themselves.
This recession is not over it has barely begun. Think of the frightening prospect of of putting this mess in the hands of the know nothing Republican party hijackers, the tea party voodoo fools. That is frightening! That possibility is what we are now facing. As we just discussed, only Bin Laden can end this so called war on terror he started and only keeping health care and staying on the track of the recovery of "our" America Obama is trying to get us on, will give us a future, success into the 21st century.
The Brown Shirts I mean tea party have successfully hijacked the Republican party as threatened if you have not noticed. If they get in control what happens will not be pretty nor will the "liberty" they want. You have seen it before and know the results. If the so called tea party gets in control of the US it will be much worse mark my words.
We need those companies that were increasingly incentified by Bush to send their companies and jobs overseas to be forced to come back to the US. Obama's plan is doable and not as destructive to companies as those against the plan want you to think. We have to start putting the people ahead of companies
We are in serious trouble as you know, if we can not get our manufacturing base back and put the people back to work and enable them to pay their mortgages and pay the bills. I refuse to believe Republicans and other turncoats can get away with voting against the people and a return to Bush's destruction of "our America and world order" Obama has finally started to gather forces again to finally get something done. We better show the tea party Republicans we are not going to let them undo any progress and finish destroying our America. We must come out and keep his agenda moving forward. Get out the vote!

Detente: Russia Demands Lifting Of US Blockade Against Cuba bans Iranian investments in nuclear industry, excellent!
First I have to say thanks to Obama lightening up the mood between Russia and the US I am feeling very optimistic about working together to proceed successfully into the 21st century. Switching to the Aegis missile system which is mobile and already used and proven and scrapping Bush's war mongering worthless MDS (missile defense system) Boondoggle was a GREAT IDEA!
First as I said already I am psyched that Russia has agreed to sanctions on Iran and their nuclear program, have limited Iran's access to advanced weapons, and demanded more openness with their nuclear program and uranium enrichment, along with better cooperation with IAEA and their inspectors. Russia bans Iranian investments in nuclear industry
Russia's U-turn on arms sale Reset button success, I love it!
U.S. Agrees to Press Russia's Bid for WTO
We will be important allies to a prosperous future in many instances not just Iran, Afghanistan, and the so called war on terror. There is now a possibility that NATO the US and Russia will work on a joint missile defense system thanks to Obama's smart move to use the Aegis missile system and scrap Bush's worthless missile defense shield, and China's row with Japan could use their help too.
We keep hearing from the war mongers on the right that we gave Russia the farm and screwed America and Europe. Quite the opposite is true and we continue to see the proof. Russia is right to demand that the worthless blockade against Cube be lifted. I was a bit surprised when a friend of mine from Canada told me Canadians have no ban and vacation in Cuba all the time bringing Canadian and US goods. Russia Demands Lifting Of US Blockade Against Cuba *

America is in Mourning but because of Republicans not President Obama as The new lying Republican Ad wants you to think!
Democrats are pushing a series of bills before elections doomed to fail and it's a great strategy!
Watch the stupid mourning in America Ad
Republicans Block Bill to Lift Military Gay Ban
Why Democrats are pushing a series of bills doomed to fail
'Mourning in America' Recalls Ronald Reagan's Famous Ad This too will backfire!
Al Franken is right: "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" kicks out thousands of willing and capable Americans in whom we've invested time and training--at a time when our military is desperately in need of recruits. And military commanders certainly don't need to spend their time investigating troops' sexual orientation at a time when we're engaged in two wars.
Militaries around the world have allowed gay and lesbian citizens to serve openly without issue, and a recent article in Joint Force Quarterly concluded that "there is no scientific evidence to support the claim that unit cohesion will be negatively affected if homosexuals serve openly." And, of course, the country is ready for it--a recent poll showed that 75 percent of Americans favor ending "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."
But the most powerful reason to repeal the policy has nothing to do with reasoned argument and everything to do with basic fairness. I've met gay and lesbian service members while visiting troops overseas on USO tours and as a Senator. They have the same pride, courage, and dedication to their jobs as every other American solider, sailor, airman, or Marine. And they shouldn't have to lie about who they are in order to serve.
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mike Mullen, said, "For me, personally, it comes down to integrity: theirs as individuals and ours as an institution." He's right. Don't ask Don't tell should be repealed because it rewards lying and I could never fathom the concept because of that and what we expect from our military.
We know gays are serving in the military and I am sure they have from day 1. They are lying right now so they can serve. Saying it will ruin moral and the military is pure Republican BS!
Since 2007 60% of all bankruptcies have been due to health care costs. With the total now being over 50 Billion with no health insurance, 43 million living below the poverty level, and foreclosures up once again it is a losing proposition for Republicans to run on pulling the plug on any hope at all the average American has of surviving in this society.
If the Republicans get control and succeed in reversing what Obama has achieved despite their efforts to make him fail we will fail. Mourning in America as you know is a play on Reagan's successful program called Morning in America however these tea party Republican's are not Ronald Reagan. They are trying to blame Bush's economic disaster on President Obama.
This too will play well with the tea party Republicans but most people know Bush did this too and Republicans want a return to his disastrous policies. Obama's job is to remind people who did this to us and how disastrous a return to that agenda would be. They must come out and vote. My big fear is not that they and their lies will get in control but what they will do in their desperation.

Tea Party star Christine O'Donnell thinks evolution is a myth: The more things change the more they remain the same
O'Donnell on Phil Maher: Evolution is a myth
Tea Party star Christine O'Donnell thinks evolution is a myth
First the ditz that is right there with her screwed up stances like her idol Sarah Palin has made the opening skit of SNL (Saturday night live) Look at their line on masturbation, read what they have to say then watch the video. I am stupefied that idiots like O'Donnell and Palin make total fools of themselves and then think it is funny being ridiculed by SNL. have a laugh
Anyway thinking about this continued debate on evolution which absolutely amazes me I remembered that this was an issue a while back (5 years ago to be exact) and I wrote about it from an unbiased viewpoint. Here it is in response to Bush's intervention and Pat Robertson who has once again proven himself to be a major quack. Until these idiots came out of the wall and started voicing their idiocy emboldened by the fact that Bush was their champion I never heard or paid attention to these perverted Christian zealots.
I refuse to believe anyone with half a brain can deny evolution. If you believe in intelligent design "God "invented" man okay but you can not deny evolution unless you have a selfish interest and must deny the truth. That has begun to be the mantra of being a Republican. Less than half a brain I have to laugh O'Donnell does qualify! The more things change the more they remain the same: A little Bush era perverted Christian fundamentalism history!
Thankfully to me Bush had proven once again the danger of Christian fundamentalism in our society. I had to talk about this because I thought as the President had no right to inject his beliefs into a religious debate. Then we heard from another crackpot that God wouldn't help the town of Dover because they didn't want divine intervention taught in their Schools. what happened to the god that loves everyone? what happened to the god that forgives all?
Those Fundamentalist seem to worship the same God as the Islamists do and that is extremely dangerous as we have said many times. We have discussed in the past the theory of intelligent design. I do not believe in this for Religious reasons but rather for common sense. like most, I happen to believe in evolution. I also believe in what we call intelligent design.
Both if thought about unbiased are fact. However due to personal bias most take one side of the issue or the other. Both views however are part of the whole which is man today as we know him. Religion should not be taught in our public schools. However, in teaching one or the other you are just giving half the equation and thus injecting your own personal agenda. Bush was speaking up for his base the fundamentalist Christian Right to lifer's and he had no right to advocate any principle and neither does O'Donnell, she should just keep her idiocy to herself and go away.
Evolution is an undeniable fact, so too is some kind of intelligent design. We must remember that in the end our selfish bias should not be the measure. Right or wrong, the truth, the whole story, should be the only measure. We must get back to Thomas Jefferson's ideal that once you became a member of society you would automatically obtain common sense and do the right thing for that society not your own self interest. Forget about it today.

NATO increases attacks on insurgents in Pakistan in manned and unmanned aircraft as Haqqani's try to reciprocate in Europe and the US
US Airstrikes Target Afghan Insurgents' Safe Havens
CIA foils Mumbai-style Europe terror plot with drone strikes on Pakistan militants Germany, France, Britain, and possibly the US were the targets of numerous Mumbai style attacks. We knew this was coming and we seem to be on top of it but we better kill the Haqqani's as soon as possible.
We were warned of this over a year ago by Haqqani
We just discussed the importance of our attacks and getting the Haqqani's: The US is increasingly taking matters into its own hands inside Pakistan.
We did not see any real success until Obama was elected and instantly attacks in the tribal regions were stepped up. They are increasingly killing more militants and their commanders and they are on the run. We can not let up an iota now but must increase pressure by NATO and by Pakistan. I just realized the Haqqani's are on the run now and that is why we have not heard any new mass murders and bombings of innocent civilians in Pakistan. Keep it up!

Obama reaches out to Iran with multiple messages while calling Ahmadinejad UN remarks 'Hateful' I think it's working but not what they think
Obama: Ahmadinejad UN remarks 'Hateful'
Obama reaches out to Iran with multiple messages This speech went to the Government but was aimed at the people but Obama does not realize that like here the people do not matter today.
Iran could halt higher enrichment: Ahmadinejad You know that isn't going to happen!
Allow me to paint the total picture and put it in its proper perspective with a conclusion at the end!
As you know, there has been decades of animosity "to put it mildly" between Iran and the US. At the turn of the 19th century we were taking their oil and Ahmadinejad is still trying to get the west to pay them back for what we did to them during WW2 not the least was taking their oil so it wouldn't go to Germany.
In the 50's we gave them nuclear help in a program called atoms for peace along with Pakistan. Then I would have to assume this was after we overthrew the democratically elected President of Iran Mohammad Mosaddeq to install our ruthless puppet the Shah of Iran. We built and supplied Iran's first reactor because we thought we were in control.
What the hell is wrong with us? That makes us personally responsible for the 1979 Revolution in Iran, the capture of our hostages, the disaster in the desert after a failed attempt to rescue them, the rise of the Revolutionary Guard, the protesters dilemma, the nuclear issue in Iran today, everything!
UN sanctions against Iran
United Nations Security Council Resolution 1737 - passed on 23 December 2006.
United Nations Security Council Resolution 1747 - passed on 24 March 2007.
United Nations Security Council Resolution 1803 - passed on 3 March 2008.
United Nations Security Council Resolution 1929 - passed on 9 June 2010.
Now we want peace with Iran in the mix? First there can be no peace that leaves the 1.5 million people of Gaza out and Hamas controls them with Iran's backing. Israel and the international community shun Hamas as a terrorist group and would have to make a tough decision to engage with the militants who refuse to recognize Israel's right to exist saying their resistance is continuous. Despite saying we will never talk to terrorists we have in the past but not this time.
As I have said since Bush's illegal invasion, Israel and Iran do not want peace only on their terms and that can't happen! You know from numerous discussions here that Iran is involved in every Middle Eastern country not just Yemen, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia where they have corrupted elections for Shiite interests in Iraq, backing rebels in Yemen, and instigating attacks on Saudi oil fields.
Bush freed Iran to instigate far and wide and are even training Taliban on their border. Any new actions will only serve to worsen their instigation and cause them to cause chaos everywhere they can and further Bush's total Middle East breakdown Period. Iran will never settle for peace with Israel only for peace in the middle east with a non existent Israel. WTF?
Well! Having Palestine join the UN and by 2012 as President Obama would like would be the game changer. Alienating Iran could win a restless peace in the Middle East I never thought was possible. Make an end run around Iran, a classic war move. Obama is good however, he is also right saying Ahmadinejad is deleterious to the Iranian people and the world.
* In conclusion knowing that, he does not have a clue about Iran and this goes for the entire world including here in the US. The awesome power today of Governments and their weapons have negated the power of the people if they indeed ever had any. They are a mere inconvenience that must be dealt with. They no longer matter and the Government in power legitimate or not is going to do what they damn well please as you know. You know what that means for Iran.

Russia's Putin says he wants peaceful division of Arctic: His actions in 2007 hmm?
Scrambling for the Arctic
Russia's Putin says he wants peaceful division of Arctic : Yeah right!
Putin's Arctic invasion: Russia lays claim to the North Pole and all its gas oil and diamonds
Anyway, I wanted to discuss that in 2007 when Russia declared that it had successfully planted their flag at the bottom of the Artic claiming it as Russian territory Russia was disturbed that Canada the US and others dismissed it as a joke saying that is worthless in the 21st Century. Myself I wasn't as sure as it seems like a scary ratcheting up of the race for future resources and world domination. Well attitudes are changing when recent events are taken into account.
It has been noted that Russian nostalgia for past greatness has been seen stretching from the North Pole to the Mediterranean via the Caucasus. First the Russians planted a flag on the bottom of the Arctic. Then they promised to return to the Mediterranean. You know what went on with Georgia, That the three events came close together may be a coincidence. That they all testify to Russia's new assertiveness is not.
The row with Georgia is not the only source of anxiety for its neighbours. Russia's naval commander proposed "to restore its permanent presence" in the Mediterranean, using the Baltic and Black Sea fleets. For years a Russian naval base in Syria has been standing empty. The return of their ships to Syria is a dream of Russia's admirals and a nightmare for Israel, which fears renewed Russian co-operation with Syria.
Russia's Mediterranean plans pale in comparison with its audacious foray into the Arctic where they collected soil samples and planted the Russian flag two and a half miles below the sea. The official purpose of this first-ever manned mission was "to prove that the North Pole is an extension of the Russian coastal shelf." Geologists say the region could have big oil, gas and mineral reserves.
Knowing that the Arctic features prominently in Russian Imperial mythology and the rising desire for Russia to regain prominence as a world power you have to be very concerned about this and Canada now is. Canada's prime minister went on a three-day trip to the Arctic in an effort to assert sovereignty over the region a week after Russia symbolically staked a claim to the North Pole by sending submarines.
Five countries -- Canada, Russia, the United States, Norway and Denmark -- are competing to secure subsurface rights to the Arctic seabed. One study by the U.S. Geological Survey estimates the Arctic has as much as 25 percent of the world's undiscovered oil and gas. PM Harper, who has pledged to spend billions defending Canada's sovereignty over the Arctic, is expected to announce the location of a planned military deep water port later in the week.
"Economic development -- unleashing the resource-based potential of the North, environmental protection -- protecting the unique Northern environment, national sovereignty -- protecting our land, airspace and territorial waters.
" In response to the building interest in the shelf Canada's PM Harper announced that six to eight new patrol ships would be built to guard the Northwest Passage sea route in the Arctic, which the United States insists does not belong to Canada. Canadian PM vowed in 2007 to defend Arctic
U.S. Ambassador David Wilkins had criticized Harper's promise to defend the Arctic, calling the Northwest Passage "neutral waters." This is all very troubling as we watch the ratcheting up of tensions around the world as we try to move into the future. The increased militarism around the world is tenuous but throw all the recent developments in with what is shaping up to be a fight over the Arctic and its resources which will only serve to ecologically destroy another very important part of the Ocean's and world's ecosystem in what is increasingly appearing

The continued devolution of Iraq in Bush's Middle East breakdown!
Video: Iraq blast kills soldiers
The latest: twin car bombs kill 31 wound 100, no claims of responsibility
US forces have helped repel an attack on an army base in Baghdad in which seven people died, security officials have told the BBC. Suicide attack on Baghdad base
Iraq suicide car bomb kills twelve On August 17, an al Qaida-linked suicide bomber blew himself up at the same east Baghdad military headquarters and killed 61 army recruits in the deadliest act of violence in Baghdad in months.
News Wrap: Gunman Kills 2 US Soldiers in Iraq
Two US soldiers killed, nine wounded by Iraqi soldier
Five killed in attacks as Baghdad bans motorcycles
Second Iraqi TV presenter killed
Shopkeepers in the neighborhood blamed lack of political progress and called promises of security 'empty. No kidding? Iraqi's have to be scared to death knowing we will leave them alone to their demise, their civil war and middle east breakdown that will spread throughout the middle east compliments of Bush. Suicide attack on Iraqi Army frustrates Iraqi hopes for security
Iraqi forces still frail as US troops head home: Mission accomplished, the middle east breakdown will continue as scheduled. President Barack Obama vowed to make good on his promise to end U.S. combat operations in Iraq by the end of August, despite a dangerous political deadlock in Baghdad and a recent surge in militant violence. Iraqi forces still frail as US troops head home
This is no victory! I have been saying this from day one of this guaranteed failure but for those who have not read it I will again reiterate what Bush knew would happen but ignored to do Gods work and "fix" the Middle East: War-torn Baghdad is the worst, a survey said for its annual survey, Mercer assessed the quality of living in 221 cities worldwide ranking Baghdad #221 the absolute worst. Baghdad ranked 221st, remaining at the bottom of the list with rankings also based on water availability and drinkability, waste removal, quality of sewage systems, air pollution and traffic congestion. The basic necessities of life! vienna is best city to live in, Baghdad worst: study
A 2007 U.S. Report gave Blame to Iraqi's for Bush's Guaranteed Failures!
While we continuously listened to the lies and propaganda that Bush has had many successes in Iraq and that his surge succeeded We already know but many of Bush's declared successes are in fact failures. Low and behold it all boils down to Security fears. What a surprise! What happened to his successful surge? Kill all the Al Qaeda you want they can not still provide the basic needs of life in a successful society.
Isn't that Bush's fault? If he had stayed in Afghanistan as he should have instead of diverting from the war on terror to attack Iraq so he could start implementing his new middle east order, Iraq may have had a Dictator but they would have security, electricity, water, fuel, and a lot more than they have now or will have in the future.
Al Maliki, Alawi, or whoever takes control they cannot and will not bring stability back to Iraq. Despite the political rhetoric it will get a lot worse and then spread throughout the entire middle east. We will never be able to bring services anywhere close to the level they were at when Saddam was in power. It is laughable to think that anyone thought they would be better post Saddam.
The Congressional investigation into reconstruction in Iraq found that six out of eight projects the Bush administration claimed to be a success were falling apart, throwing doubts over the long-term viability of much of the $30 billion program. I have to tell you, the entire program, the surge, Democracy, everything, was guaranteed lost from the get go. What ever is built will be destroyed.
The report which was published 3 years ago but could be today, looked at hospital projects that at last count there was only one capable of operating at all. It does not matter how much money or effort we put into Iraq. Iraqi's as a whole do not want new Iraqi order they want their own version. They want the basic needs of life satisfied and they do not care who supplies them in the end.
Each sect is only concerned with looking out for their own interest and future and as we are told to ignore everyday because it is not "the reality on the ground" reality is much worse! The inspectors found serious plumbing and electrical failures due to looting, equipment lying idle to me primarily because people are scared to death to venture out into the reality Bush has created for them. US report blaming Iraqi's for failures
From the Political system to the oil Industry, Hospitals, electricity, plumbing, security, everything, It will not be turned around and will only get a lot worse before it spreads throughout the entire middle east. Supposedly we are hoping to start withdrawing our troops this year and have them all out by next fall. Regardless of what happens we better stick to that schedule, leave whatever supplies the Iraqi's need, and see just how much they want to live together under a system that will supply their needs. It is in the end up to them!
I have to reiterate something I have said too many times since Bush chose to ignore all warnings of total civil war spreading throughout the entire Middle East so he could attack Iraq and straighten out the Middle East as God spoke to him and instructed him to. You know I firmly believe and have said so a million times by now that since 9/11 everything was construed to allow Bush to gain the power he needed to prosecute his new order not just in the Middle East but on the entire world! He diverted from Afghanistan to get back into the Middle East with the goal of setting up a larger safety zone for Israel and going after Iran.
Bush has created a hell on earth for Iraq that he calls liberty and success with promises to spread it throughout the entire Middle East and now Obama has no choice but to let it happen. We are leaving 50,000 troops thereto supposedly train for another year and the way Afghanistan is failing as expected because Bush ignored it to get back into the middle East to create a new (dis)order Iraq. will fail unless we go back and we will not be able to. The Middle East is still a massive disaster that has yet to begin but it is coming.

The so called recession is not over it is just getting legs!
America's recession: It's over | The Economist
They say it ended June of last year making it 18 months long the longest since WW2. I hate to be the one to tell them but this is not over. It will dwarf the longest recession in U.S. history during the nineteenth century which was between 1873 and 1879. Tell that to the still growing number of poor. The overall poverty rate climbed to 14.3 percent, or 43.6 million people, the Census Bureau said Thursday in its annual report on the economic well-being of U.S. households, plus the jobless rolls just increased by 465,000.Over?
Watching the inept lying mindless Bush run and get elected "supposedly" along with his crew of lying enablers to control and change societal and world order to a new societal and world dis-order was frightening and absolutely no surprise in total including the timing of this so called recession and world financial collapse.
