Bush in middle east warning of Obama and Nazism! with what we discussed yesterday again and grampies past that is disgusting even for him!

First I have to say that even by today's horrendous standard of daily bad new today was particularly horrific. Not only is the situation worsening in South America with rumors of putting an American Base in Columbia as you can imagine. The natural disasters in Myanmar and China are getting worse as expected as China realizes the enormity of the disaster and Myanmar faces another storm in the same area as we feed their military and they let their people die of disease and starvation. I was monitoring also the growing water wars an America this time on the Great Lakes as the battle ramps up to control their water. I wanted to discuss our growing food wars as we are warned our food system is facing collapse. Overwhelming I tell you! I was very happy to hear Edwards endorsing Obama thinking now Gore and we stand a chance but the chief idiot and his lunacy once again takes the cake.

In light of Our discussion yesterday on American Fascism under Bush and his Grandfathers anti American efforts during WW2 along with his efforts in financing the Nazi's amongst other things I was stunned to hear that two faced underhanded slime in the middle east talking about Obama and the Nazi warnings in the same breath warning of him and the middle east. I am disgusted! To me he should shut the hell up anyway and stay out of this. He of all people has no right to talk about Nazi connections and warnings about Obama. I just heard him talking about Nazi tanks closing in on Poland and we can't allow that to happen again alluding to "Obama would" The ass was speaking in Israel but forgot to tell the Jews his Grandfather was financing the Nazi's. first this is a good story I did on the issue of Bush Nazi connections and McGovern calling for Bush Cheney Impeachment

Just peruse the numerous stories on Bush family Nazi ties and you will be stunned Why was Prescott never tried and Bush allowed to happen? But having said all that let me highlight what Bush said in Israel while Egypt is facing such hunger people are killing each other and getting no help from their brethren in this middle east success that is the total failure Bush Guaranteed.

Now in light of the bush family Nazi connections and thanks to Bush the middle east openly allowing countries to fail and guaranteed eruption anyway look what the idiot said in Israel yesterday. President Bush launched a sharp but veiled attack Thursday on Sen. Barack Obama and other Democrats, suggesting they favor "appeasement" of terrorists in the same way some Western leaders appeased Hitler in the run-up to World War II.

The president did not name Obama or any other Democrat, but White House aides privately acknowledged the remarks were aimed at the presidential candidate and others in his party. Former President Jimmy Carter has called for talks with Hamas."Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along," Bush said at Israel's 60th anniversary celebration in Jerusalem. "We have heard this foolish delusion before," Bush said in remarks to Israel's parliament, the Knesset. "As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history."

The remarks seemed to be a not-so-subtle attempt to continue to raise doubts about Obama with Jewish Americans. Those doubts were earlier stoked by Sen. John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee in the 2008 presidential election, when he recently charged that Obama is the favored candidate of the Islamic fundamentalist group Hamas, which the U.S. government has listed as a terrorist group. Obama last week called the Hamas allegation a "smear" and lashed out Thursday at Bush's speech in Israel. "It is sad that President Bush would use a speech to the Knesset on the 60th anniversary of Israel's independence to launch a false political attack," Obama said in a statement released to CNN by his campaign. "It is time to turn the page on eight years of policies that have strengthened Iran and failed to secure America or our ally Israel…." Bush aides say the President was aiming his remarks at Obama and other Democrats.

Everything Bush touched is a failure to us but a success to him and his hidden agenda. Damn! What do you think?

A reminder: Analysis of American Fascism under Bush / examples and pictures blow by blow under Bush It's getting closer every day!

I have to prepare to go down to the VA so I thought I would repost this from a year ago because of the every day reminders that total control by Bush or his successor is rapidly getting closer! todays reminders below!

Naomi Wolf's too late book on the End of America is not news but john Kasich's response was frightening and why we are in trouble!
I was sent information pertaining to Naomi wolf's new Book America, The End of a Democracy. I read it of course and agree with it but in my reply I said as I do in every instance that we have discussed all of this numerous times and by the time someone who will be listened too writes a book about it, it is already too late to stop it. In light of numerous past discussions I first want to list the 10 steps listed to end a Democracy as they pertain to us and you will agree.

1. Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy. After 9/11 the Patriot act was passed, fear constantly pressed on us and Bush started his power grab.
2. Create a gulag . Once you have got everyone scared, the next step is to create a prison system outside the rule of law
3. Develop a thug caste: Blackwater and private security even at times various Governmental agencies.
4. Set up an internal surveillance system
5. Harass citizens' groups
6. Engage in arbitrary detention and release
7. Target key individuals: Threaten civil servants
8. Control the press
9. Dissent equals treason: We know only Bushco can commit treason as they set up their new America
10. Suspend the rule of law: The John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007 gave the president new powers over the national guard. He can now send New York's national guard against another State if "He" deems necessary!
Fascist America in 10 easy steps

Remember the 14 common threads of Fascism: keep the entire world in mind but particularly how everyone of them applies in America today. This is scary!

* 1. Powerful and continuing expressions of nationalism. Bingo!

* 2. Disdain for the importance of human rights. Bingo!

* 3. Identification of enemies/scapegoats as a unifying cause. Bingo!

* 4. The supremacy of the military/avid militarism. Bingo!

* 5. Rampant sexism. This is the only thread "I hope" does not apply here but does with the Islamists

* 6. A controlled mass media. Bingo!

* 7. Obsession with national security. Bingo!

* 8. Religion and ruling elite tied together. Bingo!*

9. Power of corporations protected. Bingo!

* 10. Power of labor suppressed or eliminated. Bingo!

* 11. Disdain and suppression of intellectuals and the arts. (at the link read how it does apply)

* 12. Obsession with crime and punishment.

* 13. Rampant cronyism and corruption. Bingo!

* 14. Fraudulent elections. Bingo!*
Even more frightening is a collection of news articles dating from the start of the Bush presidency divided into topics relating to each of the 14 points of fascism including proof in pictures.Blow by blow examples in pictures of American Fascism under Bush
Talk about this, spread it where it can get heard!

Anyway no one capable of a thought process can deny what is happening today unless they are one of the enablers. With that said I caught Faux news John Kasich interview Naomi and I use to respect him until I watched the interview video and he wouldn't let her get a word in edge wise. He was sarcastic and kept cutting her off. Very quickly he shut her off and said no more the conversations over. Please watch the ignorance

It was hilarious watching john Colbert's interview of Naomi and you will enjoy it too. The Colbert Report

* Anyway you look at it we know Naomi is right but enough will not listen and I am afraid it is too late to alter what is going to happen here and around the world but I, you, we cannot stop trying and must stay together. Today I awoke to hear once again that Congress wants Bush to stop hoarding oil while we hurting but once again he refused with a stupid excuse so he could continue to hoard oil in preparation for the upcoming attack on Iran. I also awoke to another reminder that the situation around the world is worsening as is our own environmental, food, and water, problems and the idiot is in the middle east ignoring everything here while instigating war in the middle east and feigning a desire for peace. He will soon have his excuse to take total control of America as he prosecutes his new societal, middle east, and world order. Hold on!

Goverments fear Revolution of the hungry: Worsening Global conditions dictate we become "Selectionist" not Isolationist!

Amid mounting food crisis, governments fear revolution of the hungry By Bill Van Auken: Last week’s meetings in Washington of the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the Group of Seven were convened in the shadow of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s. While Wall Street’s turmoil and the deepening credit crunch dominated discussions, leaders of the global financial institutions were forced to take note of the growing global food emergency, warning of the threat of widespread hunger and already emerging political instability. The seven major capitalist powers in the G-7—the US, Japan, Germany, Britain, France, Italy and Canada—made virtually no mention of the global food crisis, referring in only one brief reference to the risk of “high oil and commodity prices.” Instead, they focused on the stability of the financial markets, promising measures to shore up investor confidence.
The IMF and World Bank, however, felt compelled to acknowledge the emerging worldwide catastrophe, in part because while these agencies are instruments of the main imperialist powers, they must posture as responsive to the needs of all countries. It would be too revealing for them to focus exclusively on the fate of major finance houses, while ignoring the fact that hundreds of millions across the planet are being threatened with starvation. More decisive, however, is the realization that this crisis confronting the most impoverished countries and poorest sections of the world’s population is threatening to unleash a revolution of the hungry that could topple governments across large parts of the world. Even as the IMF and World Bank were meeting, the government of Haiti was forced out in a no-confidence vote passed in response to several days of demonstrations and protests against rising food prices and hunger that swept all the country’s major cities. Clashes between protesters and United Nations occupation troops left at least five people dead and scores wounded and saw crowds attempt to storm the presidential palace.

Food prices in Haiti had risen on average by 40 percent in less than a year, with the cost of staples such as rice doubling. The same essential story has been repeated in country after country, from Africa to the Middle East, south Asia and Latin America. * In Bangladesh, on Saturday, some 20,000 textile workers took to the streets to denounce soaring food prices and demand higher wages. The price of rice in the country has doubled over the past year, threatening the workers, who earn a monthly salary of just $25, with hunger. Scores were injured in clashes with police, who used gunfire in an attempt to disperse the crowds. * In Egypt, protests by workers over food prices rocked the textile center of Mahalla al-Kobra, north of Cairo, for two days last week, with two people shot dead by security forces. Hundreds were arrested, and the government sent plainclothes police into the factories to force workers to work. Food prices in Egypt have risen by 40 percent in the past year.

* Unions and shopkeepers staged a two-day general strike in the West African nation of Burkina Faso last week to protest high prices. The strikers demanded a “significant and effective” cut in the price of rice and other staples. * Several hundred demonstrators marched on parliament in Phnom Penh, Cambodia April 6 to protest food price hikes. The cost of a kilogram of rice has risen to $1 in a country where the average income is barely 50 cents a day. Police armed with cattle prods broke up the protest. * Earlier this month, in the Ivory Coast, thousands marched on the home of President Laurent Gbagbo, chanting “we are hungry” and “life is too expensive, you are going to kill us.” The country has seen food prices soar by between 30 percent and 60 percent from one week to the next. Police broke up the protest with tear gas and batons, injuring over a dozen people. Similar demonstrations, strikes and clashes have taken place in Bolivia, Peru, Mexico, Indonesia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Yemen, Ethiopia, and throughout most of sub-Saharan Africa. With terrifying rapidity, hundreds of millions of people all over the planet have been confronted with the inability to obtain the basic necessities of life. The global capitalist market is dictating intolerable conditions for masses of people on every continent, provoking a worldwide eruption of class struggle. It is the concern that this struggle will spin out of control that found expression in the statements of concern issued by the IMF and World Bank leaders together with finance ministers and central bank chiefs gathered in Washington. Governments fear revolution of the hungry

Knowing that and as we discussed yesterday, the growing worsening environmental conditions around the world and the rapidly increasing natural disasters. Yesterdays Discussion on Disasters
Knowing we are feeding Myanmars military While they let their people starve

Knowing Spain's worst drought in decades forced the city of Barcelona to begin shipping in drinking water Tuesday in an unprecedented effort shipping 5 million Gallons of water and this is only a sign of what is happening around the world and of things to come.

Knowing our own middle class is being driven in increasing numbers to food pantries that are injcreasingly overwhelmed and may be hit by food rationing. Check out some of these dire stories

* I remember when the chief idiot was running to destroy the Nation and the world he accused Democrats of wanting to become Isolationist. With our infrastructure is being allowed to fail and we are increasingly overwhelmed by man made and natural Disasters right here at home I know we are not smart enough but it is time to hunker down and take care of ourselves first! Take care of our Allies Second! Thirdly take care of everyone else as we can. We must become "Selectionist" not Isolationist! This is still just beginning and it will not go away or just get better. We must adapt to make it successfuly through the future! This is just beginning folks be prepared!

As the world races to war a reminder the Planet Can not sustain it! Every day a new reminder!

While I watched the first plane hit the twin towers I started singing R.E.M.'s It's the end of the world as we know it! every Day a New Reminder:

I knew that was no coincidence! as I sat in front of the TV and watched the next plane hit. when the hero's brought the next plane down I was wondering what is next and immediately started singing to myself it's the end of the world as we know it. That was a given! However Bush and MSM's first response was the "terrorists" will never change the way we live! Remember? I knew that was an irresponsible statement as usual and nothing would ever be the same again. Of course as time went by the Government, MSM, and everyone, realizes that everything has changed and not just because of so called terrorism. By and large I blame the vast majority of it on Bush because of what he has done to us and around the world under the guise of fighting terrorism and playing the witless victim while all along being the instigator.

Witless the entire world can believe but more of that shortly. I have been trying to alert people to Bush since before he was elected and to no avail. for more than 35 years I have been trying to get people to realize not only that the environment was changing but that our society was going the way of the Roman Empire. I must admit I never foresaw that a US President would be purposely leading the way and bringing the entire world with us. Every day our situation becomes more obvious. We have some here in our circle of Bloggers who want to believe everything will be okay and I respect that and try to keep reality on my own site. one can be hopeful and keep trying to make a difference but you must be real. in College Psych I tested out as a realistic Optimist or an optimistic Realist if you will!

Having said that! Of late the price of oil has sky rocketed having gone up $100 per barrel since Bush got in and started his war mongering. Also in his creation of our new dual economy society he has enriched the wealthy to the tune of Billions while worsening the plight of average Americans many of which are losing their homes, health insurance, and savings while the stock market keeps rising proving that there are two economies despite denials. To top it off the entire countries infrastructure is failing and nothing is being done. Not just Katrina, California's wild fires, Minneapolis's Bridge catastrophe, absolutely every single episode Bush says how much he cares and the Government will be there to help while they do nothing and all would be lost if it were not for volunteers and average Americans coming together!

Anyway with everything else you have the entire world having problems with militaristic leaders and a clamping down on whoever is against the designs of the Government however ill they are under the guise of fighting terrorism and sadly that includes us as the world takes sides and prepares for the next world war poor Bush is instigating while playing the poor victim! While we are living in this facade of a Democracy watching this facade of an election we watch developing water wars and food wars around the world. It is just beginning to hit home! As we watch gas climb towards $4 per gallon It has affected the way average Americans live. It is now determining if and where they go for vacation. What they will eat, If they can even take a frivolous trip, absolutely every aspect of their life as it has for many years for Europe and much of the world while the second economy that Bush says does not exist is doing well and will never have to do without. this will only lead to future mayhem and division here in America and it gives me angst for our situation in the future knowing we can be imprisoned and totally controlled if we are perceived as being a danger to the Government! I hear of rice rationing but do not see it as a problem yet but this is just beginning. It will get much worse soon.

The entire situation will ramp up I expect this fall before we can have this facade of an election! As you know, I believe Bush attacked Iraq so he could get into the middle east with the goal of going after Syria and Iran. Both are coming soon! the excuse to be able to attack Iran as we know is on going and has been ramped up of late in an effort to accuse Iran of fueling the problems bush created in Iraq. We found out yesterday that General Petraeus will take over for Fallon as CentCom Commander this September. His installation is the key to when Iran will be attacked. Now today we are hearing about the efforts to link Syria to nuclear designs too!

* The senseless race to world war at a time when the life sustaining ability of our planet is waning is mind boggling and makes one believe bringing about The End Of Days is indeed the goal. Otherwise someone has to be able to live here. It is very concerning knowing the lies Bush used to justify starting a war with Iraq and that it was done so he could get our military into the middle east with the ultimate goal of helping Israel create a new middle east order while starting a war with Syria and Iran. This is going to ramp up quickly as Bush is running out of time. It will lead to world war and fuel and food shortages we have not seen for years and who knows what else. I merely advise you to look at everything that is happening here and around the world and put it all together as a whole and just be prepared for what may come!

* This morning would seem as good a time as any to size up the truly global reach of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Its many branches are dealing with disasters from Myanmar, where a cyclone killed at least 28,458, to the Missouri, Oklahoma and Georgia where tornadoes killed at least 23 people over the weekend. And the major earthquake in western China seems likely to add another site to the list, less than a month after Red Cross relief workers were dispatched to another part of China in the aftermath of a destructive typhoon. The organization also recently responded to a huge pile-up on an Austrian highway and an explosion of an ammunition stockpile in Albania.

In each case, the humanitarian organization, which proudly says it is the worlds largest, works through one of its national societies, which number 186: in Egypt, Estonia, El Salvador, and so on. The branch societies fly a cross flag in most countries, but a crescent in the Muslim world. (Separately, the International committee of the Red Cross focuses on military conflicts.) A recent Red Cross news release on the situation in Myanmar, which the organization says is is accepting more and more aid shipments, cited local roots as the core of its disaster response, including thousands of Burmese volunteers who pitched in after the cyclone struck:

Local volunteers –- fluent in the local language, culture, and landscape –- can often be overlooked and considered dispensable. Time and time again, however, they are the ones on the front lines, saving lives, preventing diseases, and rebuilding communities after the wake of tragedy.

growing world disaster

Democratic Race is over as Republicans rely on sinkable nemesis with Lebanon and the world exploding W. H. acknowledging failure...

Democratic Race is over as Republicans rely on sinkable nemesis withith Lebanon and the world exploding W. H. acknowledging failure, the daunting task of saving us and the world will be up to Obama!

Rasmussen Reports has been tracking the race for the Democratic Presidential nomination daily for nineteen months… since November 2006. For the last few months, the most remarkable feature of the race has been its consistency and stability. Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are both running historic campaigns and both have captured the votes and hearts of distinct and important constituencies within the Democratic Party. Obama has won Primaries in states where the demographics favor his campaign and Clinton has won in the states that favor her campaign. However, while Senator Clinton has remained close and competitive in every meaningful measure, she is a close second and the race is over. It has become clear that Barack Obama will be the Democratic nominee. With this in mind, Rasmussen Reports will soon end our daily tracking of the Democratic race and focus exclusively on the general election competition between Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama. Join the poll Hillary, McCain, or Obama? Rasmussen calls Democratic race over, ends tracking

Against Obama The Republican political establishment is looking to the devil to deliver them, the man many have depicted as the incarnation of evil: John McCain. Republicans in the U.S. Congress are petrified about a November debacle, a fear stoked on May 3, when they lost their second straight special election in a district held by Republicans. The party's fundamental situation is terrible: Republicans are saddled with an enormously unpopular president, a war, a troubled economy and a Democratic opposition that's being energized by important constituent groups.

"The generics are as bad as anytime since I have been here," said Representative Tom Davis, a Virginia Republican and one of the most politically astute members of Congress in either party. Davis, a 14-year veteran, is retiring this year, frustrated with his party's long-term prospects. In a delicious irony, the one bright spot is McCain, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee. A few months ago, McCain spoke to the party's caucus in the House of Representatives and said that he would campaign in any district where he was wanted and stay out of any where he would be a liability. Republicans forced to turn to their nemesis: John McCain

Meanwhile in just one example of middle east peace Heavy fighting broke out between pro- and anti-government supporters in northern Lebanon amid the country's power struggle, security officials said Sunday.Muslim West Beirut has been mostly calm since Hezbollah and its allies seized control of many neighborhoods Friday from Sunnis loyal to the government. In the eastern Bekaa Valley, sporadic clashes took place between the two groups in different towns and villages. The road leading to the main border crossing point with Syria was still closed by pro-government supporters in retaliation for the opposition's closure of the airport road. Arab foreign ministers were to meet in Egypt on Sunday to try to find a solution to the latest deadly crisis. with fighting flaring the Pope can not help

Finally The 2008 race for the White House is casting a long shadow over President Bush. So long, in fact, that it may extend all the way to the Middle East. With Bush's middle east meeting coming up The talks are so tenuous that even Stephen J. Hadley, Mr. Bush’s ever-optimistic national security adviser, conceded there was little reason for the three leaders to get together. Mr. Bush will meet Mr. Olmert in Jerusalem and see Mr. Abbas separately in Sharm el Sheik, Egypt. “It’s hard to remember a less auspicious time to pursue Arab-Israeli peacemaking than right now,” Mr. Alterman said. “The politics on the ground are absolutely miserable. U.S. power and influence are at low ebb in the region. The Bush administration is beset by challenges — the combination of a faltering economy, persistent difficulties in Iraq and a growing threat from Iran — all at a time that the president’s popularity is at a historical low, and his administration is settling more and more into lame duck status.”

Arabs across the region are looking past Mr. Bush with a hopeful eye — particularly if his successor is a Democrat, said Aaron David Miller, a longtime Arab-Israeli peace negotiator who worked for the first Bush administration and the Clinton administration. Mr. Miller said countries like Syria, which Mr. Bush has branded a state sponsor of terrorism, were hopeful that a new administration would be more willing to engage. “If the Democrats come in after eight years, there will be a lot of new ideas, a lot of new enthusiasm to look at the Middle East in a different way, with more engagement, more diplomacy, ” Mr. Miller said, though he added that “there may be less of a change from Bush policies” than many Arabs think. As Bush Term Wanes, Mideast Peace Appears as Elusive as Ever

As we keep saying, this entire mess will be left to the next President and barring assassination or a pre election attack on Iran or another stolen election that should be Obama and he is smart enough to surround himself not with yes men but intelligent knowledgeable people. This is a hell of a mess Bush is leaving to the next President if he doesn't destroy the entire country by staying in power. Seeing us to a successful future is an indomitable task at best and requires a person of Obama's tenacity, intelligence, and Diplomacy!

Myanmar suffers with China and Russia okay as Russia warns and throws military power parade!

Russia accuses NATO of attacking its Bombers while expanding, preparing for war with Georgia and parading military might Soviet style, war getting closer!
Amidst growing tensions between the US, NATO, and Russia, we have Russia expanding around the world most notably South America and the Arctic shelve. They are threatening war with Georgia and not only threatening most presumably Bush with their recent parade showing off their military might and latest hardware we are getting closer daily to WW3: Russia's air force chief has accused NATO fighters escorting Russian bombers on patrol flights over neutral waters of violating safety rules.

Col.-Gen. Alexander Zelin said on Saturday that NATO aircraft were approaching Russian bombers too closely and too often, creating risky situations."They approach our strategic bombers at unacceptable distances and at unacceptable intervals, conduct various maneuvers around them and violate flight safety rules in every way," Zelin was quoted by the Interfax news agency as telling reporters Saturday. No one answered the phone at the Air Force's press service Saturday.

An increasingly assertive Moscow is seeking to showcase its military might and clout in the international arena. During Friday's Victory Day parade, Russia displayed tanks and missile launchers on Red Square for the first time since the Soviet era, evoking the Cold War. Russia's military spending has increased eightfold to an annual $40 billion during the past eight years, thanks to the nation's oil bonanza. Analysts, however, say the armed forces still suffer from the problems that have dented its capability and prestige since the Soviet collapse.

Zelin complained that NATO F-15, F-16 and F-22 fighter jets regularly "attack" Russian bombers over the Arctic Ocean."It is not a misuse of the word 'attack' because our partners are training for combat actions, reaching the point of an attack," Zelin was quoted as saying. "I must confess that this is quite unpleasant and even dangerous. Naturally, we rehearse our counteractions." There was no immediate comment from NATO. Russia itself has been the subject of similar disputes. In February, Russian bombers flew over a U.S. aircraft carrier in the Pacific, prompting the U.S. to scramble fighters to escort the Russian aircraft. In September last year, Russian jets were accused of violating Finnish airspace. Russia said the jets were flying over neutral territory. Russia furious over NATO air attacks

You know I believe it is almost exclusively due to Bush's instigation around the world with his rapidly increasing cockiness and encroachment into others territory but as our economy increasingly fails we are getting rapidly closer to confrontation with Russia, China, and Iran, and the frightening scenario of ending our elections so Bush can head his instigated Forever Wars. I am dismayed that I was listening to the so called experts say Russia is not much of a threat! What the Hell is up here?

With Aid confiscated we're feeding the Military will we go to war to help the people again!

I wanted to discuss the soon to come to a head perfect storm created by Bush so he could seize control and it is imminent. However I found it more critical to discuss Myanmar as last weeks threats of helping the people by force and feeding the Junta are becoming more of a reality!

A top United Nations official says he is "furious" over the Myanmar's government's refusal to allow the organization to distribute aid flown in for cyclone disaster victims. In response, the U.N. suspended future flights but then later Friday said it would resume emergency airlifts on Saturday. Two planes that landed Friday morning in Rangon carrying 38 tons of high-energy biscuits, medical kits and other items were seized by officials at Yangon International Airport, said Tony Banbury, Asia director of the U.N.'s World Food Program.

The cargo is enough to feed 95,000 people, he said. "We off-loaded the food, and then the authorities refused us permission to take that food away. "We were told we needed a special letter from the Minister of Social Welfare. We hand-delivered a request to him. The answer back was 'No, you can't have the food.' "That food is now sitting on the tarmac doing no good." Under U.N. rules, the organization must control and distribute its aid supplies. "I'm furious. This is unacceptable," Banbury said.

"The World Food Programme has decided to send in two relief flights as planned tomorrow, while discussions continue with the government of Myanmar," spokeswoman Nancy Roman said Friday. As many as 6 million people lived in the Irrawaddy Delta, the low-lying region that bore the brunt of the storm. More than 2,000 square miles of land are under water. The Myanmar government says last week's cyclone killed 22,000 people, but the top U.S. envoy in the country says the death toll may exceed 100,000. Thousands are without food, shelter and clean water, and aid workers say boats and helicopters are needed to reach remote areas. What's next in Myanmar?

* As the delivery of aid supplies lags, the possibility of diseases such as malaria rises, medical authorities say. I now hear that come Monday more shipments should be allowed in but without feet on the ground I absolutely expect the masses to be allowed to suffer disease and starvation as we are now supplying the military. I heard earlier that China urged cooperation from their Junta allies but told us hands off until they were ready. The UN says they have the right to go in to help forcefully but I only see war coming out of that. Do we air drop and start anarchy there? This is just one more growing crisis in the worlds tumultuous future!

What about an Obama Hillary ticket and end this as under growing veil of Gloom, Pelosi wants it continued? Limbaugh & Republicans target Obama!

A Democratic Unity Ticket with Obama as president and Hillary as vice president would satisfy party factions, lower the temperature, lead to a landslide victory in November. Obama would bring to the marriage the young, the black, and the liberal suburbanites. Hillary would attract her proven constituency of older voters, women, whites, workers and Hispanics. On to victory. Yesterday I heard that Hillary wants Veep. I don't know if Obama can handle her and Bill but that would work for me.

Meanwhile this is getting worse! It ain't over 'til it's over, but a growing number of Hillary Rodham Clinton's closest friends now think it's really over. A veil of gloom descended on Clinton's campaign Wednesday, with people close to her questioning how long the former first lady could -- or should -- remain in the race following a surprisingly thin Indiana win and blowout loss in North Carolina on Tuesday. "I don't see any way she can put this together any more -- she can't win the popular vote or the delegate count -- so what's the rationale?" said a major Clinton supporter from New York, speaking on condition of anonymity. "I think the challenge now is letting her leave with dignity and grace and letting the process go forward. She has got to leave on a high note. She's got to determine her own exit strategy." Clinton's growing veil of Gloom

To make it even worse is trying to keep this mess going: The race for the Democratic presidential nomination is "alive and well" and must continue, according to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. "The people should all have the opportunity to speak as long as two candidates wish to compete in those primaries and caucuses," Pelosi said during a news conference Wednesday to promote Democratic energy proposals. "In a few weeks, we will be on our way to nominating the next president of the United States." Sen. Hillary Clinton is facing renewed pressure to drop out of the race following Tuesday's double-digit loss to Sen. Barack Obama in North Carolina and a narrow win in Indiana. Pelosi, D-California, said either candidate would be a great president. She said the "tremendous turnout" is "something positive that is coming out of this race." Asked if she could see any path to victory for Clinton, Pelosi said, "You never know in elections." Pelosi says race should continue

What the hell is wrong with this Republican wanabe? we have spoken, we want it over but I think we can really seal the Presidency but we better hurry up or we will be fighting on two fronts here to our detriment too!

For weeks Senator John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee, has directed his most pointed barbs at Senator Obama. The Republican National Committee features an anti-Obama advertisement on its website home page, which has no mention of Senator Clinton. And at least one independent group that had ads attacking Senator Clinton is compiling new ones attacking Senator Obama. Officials in the McCain campaign team and at the Republican National Committee say that they have not counted Senator Clinton out, but some Republicans say the outcome is clear. "Right now Hillary Clinton may not be able to do the math, but Republicans have been for the last couple of weeks," said Kevin Madden, a Republican consultant.
Some of the issues that Republicans are beginning to raise paint a picture of what the election strategy against Senator Obama might look like. This includes using Senator Obama's support for withdrawing US troops from Iraq to portray him as weak on national security and his opposition to suspending the federal gas tax this northern summer to show that the senator is a tax-and-spend Democrat. A senior adviser to the McCain campaign team, Charlie Black, said it was prepared to face either Democrat in the general election and did not have a preference. Yet a memo written on Wednesday by Senator McCain's campaign manager, Rick Davis, analyzed the race as if Senator Obama, and not Senator Clinton, would be the opponent. Republicans target Obama

The thing that really annoys me is that Limbaugh has turned his mealy mouthed attention on Obama! He has publicly urged Republicans to vote for Sen. Hillary Clinton to keep the divisive Democratic nomination fight alive, but talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said Wednesday he really wants Sen. Barack Obama to be the party's nominee. "I now believe he would be the weakest of the Democrat nominees," Limbaugh, among the most powerful voices in conservative radio, said on his program. "I now urge the Democrat super delegates to make your mind up and publicly go for Obama. Rush Limbaugh urges vote for Obama

* I have to agree with the jerk. Lets get this over so Obama can go after McCain who I think one on one will be an easy target! Coulter, Rove, Limbaugh, the complicit MSM, are all trying to prolong this to the detriment of Democrats but it will be to the detriment of them and the world too. Romney threw his two cents in yesterday saying Hillary has the experience and should stay in. They see that Obama will win so now they are turning on him but I can't wait with an Obama McCain one on one because the true nightmare of McCain will sink him.I wish Al would run! He would instantly unite the party and be our next President. Whoever he endorses will be the nominee! McCain is too Damn old and vile! I believe an Obama Hillary ticket would unite the party and defeat McCain big time! I would be very interested in what the rest of you have to say.

Getting scary as Rove tries to drag it on saying Clinton still has a chance but Al Gore can end it today by coming out for whoever!

Of course Hillary vows to move on and win in West Virginia and she very well may but this chaos being fueled by the likes of Coulter, Limbaugh, Rove, and the complicit media must come to an end for the good of the country and the worlds future. I wanted to discuss Myanmar where I am hearing now that there may be up to 80,ooo dead. please watch any of many videos

That said once again I have to digress! I stayed up last night following events in North Carolina and Indiana. North Carolina was decided early on for Obama as expected but Indiana dragged on and on until I gave up and went to bed at 1:am expecting that I was right expecting a 50/50 split. Hey I was close and expect that if the Limbaugh, Rove factor was negated then Obama would have taken that to.

This is getting very chaotic instead of winding down as it should then it dawned on me that the man Al Gore can put an immediate end to this mess! It's an endorsement that both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama would love to score, but Al Gore has remained firmly neutral — even as the Democratic presidential race drags on months longer than expected. Many have speculated why Gore, one of the party's most popular figures, has decided to stay on the fence, but the former vice president said Tuesday the reason is really quite simple — and he still may yet come out for a candidate.

"My purpose in not endorsing a candidate is nothing elaborate," he told National Public Radio. “I’m simply watching and listening to the campaign. As a delegate to the convention I will cast my vote at the proper time. I haven’t ruled out making an endorsement prior to that time, but I haven’t been moved to do so.” Gore added, "I have respect for both candidates, they both have strengths, and I’m simply listening and watching like a lot of people."

The party's 2000 presidential candidate is easily the most sought after remaining undecided super delegates and his is perhaps one of the few remaining endorsements that could significantly alter the state of the race. But several political observers have suggested Gore is remaining neutral should he be called in to play the role of "party elder" and forge a compromise between the two candidates.

"I don't like that phrase party elder," Gore said of that suggestion. "I am not anxious to be playing that role. I just turned 60, which is the new 59. I am just a voter, and a recovering politician, and watching it carefully. "I don't know if that role really exists," Gore added. “I think the odds are overwhelming that it will tip rather decisively in one direction or another before the convention even meets.” But Gore acknowledged the party may have to review its nominating system after the presidential primary race has finally ended. “Probably it should be re-examined, but I prefer to wait until this is over to get a full picture on this has worked," he said. "I guess there’s widespread dissatisfaction with the idea of having so many so-called superdelgates, and maybe that will be the prevailing view when this is all over.” Gore may endorse and should quick

* Myanmar, the democratic nomination, Al Gore, feel free to discuss it in the comments. I will be there! Anyway, Al Gore as you can agree is right . We have to revamp the way the party works and this supposed Democratic voting process works or does not work but for now he can put and end to this whole chaotic divisive process by coming out right now for one or the other preferably to me Obama!

60 Minutes Pat Tillman - We'll never know What Really Happened To Pat Tillman!

Keith Olbermann tells the rest of the terrible lie!

Pat Tillman was a heroic face of the war on terror - an NFL star who left behind a $3.6 million contract and his new wife to fight for his country after the attacks of Sept. 11. When he died in Afghanistan on April 22, 2004, the Army told his family he'd been killed by enemy fire after courageously charging up a hill to protect his fellow Army Rangers. But as Katie Couric reports, that story didn't hold up. He had really been killed by friendly fire, shot accidentally by his fellow soldiers. For the past four years, his family, led by his mother Mary, has been searching for answers about what really happened, beginning the day she heard the news from Pat Tillman's wife Marie.

"And she answered the phone just the way she always does. Her voice sounded just the same. And I just sort of breathed a sigh of relief, like, 'Oh, you know, everything's fine.' And I said, 'What's wrong, what's wrong?' And she said, 'He's dead.' And I said, 'Who's dead?' And she said, 'Pat's dead.' Within minutes of that, the Army had sent a soldier, a young, female soldier, to come tell me about what had happened," Mary Tillman remembers. Asked what the soldier told her, Tillman says, "She said that he was shot getting out of a vehicle. He was shot in the head getting out of a vehicle. And that's basically all she knew." Eleven days after his death, Pat Tillman’s family held a memorial service in their hometown of San Jose, Calif. At that time, Tillman's family was led to believe that he was killed by the enemy, which was reinforced when the Army awarded him a Silver Star for his "gallantry in action against an armed enemy." They were told his convoy had been ambushed and he had charged up a hill, forcing the enemy to withdraw and saving the lives of his fellow Rangers. "Was there any solace in the story the military told you about how courageous Pat had been?" Couric asks. "Well, of course. But what's interesting is the story itself seemed so contrived, even then, even before he knew that it was contrived. It had this contrived feel to it," Tillman says. Asked why, she says, "Well, you know, the soldier, you know, running up the ridge line, firing at the enemy. You know, saving his men. It did sound kind of like a John Wayne movie." Then, about a month later there was a stunning announcement: the Army had been investigating his death and determined that Tillman was killed by his own men. Please read the interview or watch it

Like everything else in this mis-Administration the truth will never be known about who killed Pat Tillman either! I remember quite a while back hearing that he identified himself many times saying "it's Pat F#@ing Tillman stop firing and who ever shot him was point blank. It may have been the facade of an accident but it was no accident! Of course the Rights disinformation juggernaut tried to spin another lie in their favor so they could glorify their war mongering! Remember Pfc Jessica Lynch? She even admitted they lied about what happened to her so they could make her appear a hero in their mis cause! This underhanded lying will never stop and that my friends is the new truth!

War is building on our northern and southern Borders by the rest of the world as Bush is in their yards doing his instigating! 2 stories...

War is building on our northern and southern Borders by the rest of the world as Bush is in their yards doing his instigating! 2 stories must be reiterated!

As we watch Bush interfere in every area of the world as he races to instigate world war before his time is up a story I responded to last night about whether or not Alaska was going to become the next middle east mad me realize many do not realize what is happening in our northern yard and for that matter our southern Backyard as Bush instigates the world to war everywhere he can we are being squeezed from both ends right here in America. I find it necessary to repeat 2 of the many stories I have done on this as many still do not realize how bad it is right here gas and food aside!
This is really bad! First Russia building Venezuela Refineries, China Building Mexican ports, North American Union, what about the myriad of problems in our own backyard?
I know we have much to be paying attention to and be concerned with around the world. Most of it is due to Bush. However as I have written many times about Chavez's hate for Bush and America and watching their ever growing connections with Iran, China, and Russia, I am becoming increasingly concerned about what is happening right here in our own backyard while our attention seems to be everywhere but in our immediate area.

We have Russia building up to 13 refineries in Venezuela. Very interesting as Iran is experiencing gas shortages and riots as a result of a lack of refineries. Anyway Venezuela has to build four refineries to process heavy crude from fields in the Orinoco Belt and is considering establishing a joint venture with Russia to satisfy these goals, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said during a business conference Friday at the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce.
"Orinoco, where Lukoil is now working, there are demonstrated reserves of 300 billion tons of heavy crude in two new fields," Chavez said. "Therefore we have decided to build four refineries, and in the future, accounting for the interests of countries in the Caribbean region, 13 refineries altogether."
Chavez said that at present, Venezuela is considering establishing a joint venture with Russia in pursuit of these aims. He said that Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and other South American countries could also found such ventures. they will build a pipeline to Argentina and buy $5 Billion worth of equipment figuring why not Russia?

I have learned from our own Mariacha mama through a conversation on the clandestine efforts in creating A North American union that China is funding and clandestinely building ports in Mexico. She pointed out to us that Lázaro Cárdenas is home to a deep-water seaport that handles container, dry bulk, and liquid cargo.
The port handled 160,000 TEU in 2005 but is expanding to a capacity of 2.2 million TEU annually. Cargo is moved to and from the port by road and rail equally, with rail service provided exclusively by Kansas City Southern Railway. The port is expected to become a major container facility due to congestion at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach and its relative proximity to major cities such as Chicago, Kansas City, and Houston.
Then she noted that the LA and Long Beach ports handle 6.7 million TEU and 3.8 million and they are very congested. Due to a lot of reasons, they can't expand as you can see, the Mexican port is not to replace the US ports, (it couldn't) but to add more ports so we get more crap we don't need from China. Also there are plans for another deep water port in Baja. A Los Angeles firm, fronting for Chinese and Korean concerns, is lobbying the Mexican government to be granted permission to build a $1 billion dollar port in the agricultural area of Punta Colonet, 150 miles south of Tijuana.

The downside is the obvious environmental impact. The LA Times described the intended area as ‘deserted farmland’ This is far from fact. Punta Colonet south San Quintin is one of the most productive agricultural areas in Baja. Its proximity to Hwy. 1 and the US have spurred the growth of large commercial farming in the area. Having anchored in Punta Colonet, it is a beautiful, unspoiled area where orchards and farms run right to the oceans edge. There has been tremendous growth in the region over the last 5 years
Meanwhile because of warmonger Bush I don't know if we are a real threat to Venezuela or not but we have Chavez preparing for war.
President Hugo Chavez urged soldiers to prepare for a guerrilla-style war against the United States, saying that Washington is using psychological and economic warfare as part of an unconventional campaign aimed at derailing his government. Declaring that it is not just armed warfare, Under Chavez, Venezuela has recently purchased some $3 billion worth of arms from Russia, including 53 military helicopters, 100,000 Kalashnikov rifles, 24 SU-30 Sukhoi fighter jets. Last week, Chavez said he is considering arms purchases, including submarines and a missile-equipped air defense system, as he prepared for his tour of Russia, Belarus and Iran.

While all this is going on in our own backyard we had a very good discussion on the clandestine efforts to establish a security and Prosperity Partnership known as the North American Union. However there were a couple who said we were crazy. I was happy to receive confirmation from Canada and again from one of our members. He said: I wish more left-wingers would recognize this as There's a left-wing organization in Canada ("The Council of Canadians") that has been on top of this for several years now. They call it "Deep Integration" and talk about it as an extension of NAFTA.www.canadians.org/integratethis please read it in its entirety and learn what Canada and Lou Dobbs say
Now even worse than all that! I did a series of 3 stories last August 9th, 10th, and 11th. Feel free to check them out but here is the most critical as to what is happening in our northern yard as the world prepares for the upcoming war future! Anyway, I wanted to discuss that last week when Russia declared that it had successfully planted their flag at the bottom of the Arctic claiming it as Russian territory Russia was disturbed that Canada the US and others dismissed it as a joke saying that is worthless in the 21st Century. Myself I wasn't so sure as it seems like a scary ratcheting up of the race for future resources and world domination. Well attitudes are changing when recent events are taken into account.

IN RECENT weeks it has been noted that Russian nostalgia for past greatness has been seen stretching from the North Pole to the Mediterranean via the Caucasus. First the Russians planted a flag on the bottom of the Arctic. Then they promised to return to the Mediterranean. For good measure, a Russian-made bomb fell (but did not explode) into a vegetable field in Georgia. That the three events came close together may be a coincidence. That they all testify to Russia's new assertiveness is not. Then there are the ongoing threats of retargetting missiles, and dropping existing arms treaties because of Bush insisting on putting the missile shield in Poland and Chezhoslovakia.
The incident in Georgia may be the most serious with Georgia vying to join NATO which would really heat up the region. I am talking about the bomb dropped in Georgia. Of course no one did it and the Georgian's are blaming the Russians while the Russians are blaming the Georgians themselve, of course America has cautiously called the strike a "provocation" and the European Union urged all sides to show restraint.
This latest row with Georgia is not the only source of anxiety for its neighbours. A few days ago Russia's naval commander proposed "to restore its permanent presence" in the Mediterranean, using the Baltic and Black Sea fleets. For years a Russian naval base in Syria has been standing empty. The return of their ships to Syria is a dream of Russia's admirals and a nightmare for Israel, which fears renewed Russian co-operation with Syria.

I heard that Russian ships were off the coast of Syria and one has to be concerned about that knowing what Bush is doing in the middle east. However in my mind Russia's Mediterranean plans pale in comparison with its audacious foray into the Arctic where they collected soil samples and planted the Russian flag two and a half miles below the sea. The official purpose of this first-ever manned mission was "to prove that the North Pole is an extension of the Russian coastal shelf." Geologists say the region could have big oil, gas and mineral reserves.

Knowing that the Artic features prominently in Russian Imperial mythology and the rising desire for Russia to regain prominance as a world power you have to be very concerned about this and Canada now is. Canada's prime minister has begun a three-day trip to the Arctic in an effort to assert sovereignty over the region a week after Russia symbolically staked a claim to the North Pole by sending submarines.
Five countries -- Canada,
Russia, the United States, Norway and Denmark -- are competing to secure subsurface rights to the Arctic seabed. One study by the U.S. Geological Survey estimates the Arctic has as much as 25 percent of the world's undiscovered oil and gas. PM Harper, who has pledged to spend billions defending Canada's sovereignty over the Arctic, is expected to announce the location of a planned military deep water port later in the week.

"Economic development -- unleashing the resource-based potential of the North, environmental protection -- protecting the unique Northern environment, national sovereignty -- protecting our land, airspace and territorial waters." Last month, Harper announced that six to eight new patrol ships will be built to guard the Northwest Passage sea route in the Arctic, which the United States insists does not belong to Canada.

U.S. Ambassador David Wilkins has criticized Harper's promise to defend the Arctic, calling the Northwest Passage "neutral waters." This is all very troubling as we watch the ratchetting up of tensions around the world as we try to move into the future. The increased militanism around the world is tenuous but throw all the recent developments in with what is shaping up to be a fight over the Arctic and its resources which will only serve to ecologically destroy another very important part of the Ocean's and world's ecosystem in what is increasingly appearing Russia, Denmark, Norway, claim the arctic challange canada and us

Wondering what to discuss today I had to settle on the lie of Iraq and the purposeful Bankruptcy of America!!

I was looking at two storylines today, religious persecution using the excuse of fighting terrorism and the perversion of America, the abuse of our military. and the bankruptcy of America. I had to settle on the lie of Iraq and the purposeful Bankruptcy of America!!

President Bush will never live down “Mission Accomplished” — and should not. When the White House’s spinners spun that claim five years ago (remember the aircraft carrier?), it seemed cocky and premature. As Mr. Bush continues his $526 billion war-without-end in Iraq, it seems stunningly deceitful. The only mission that needs to be accomplished is an orderly exit from Iraq, and Mr. Bush is no closer to acknowledging that reality. Neither is Senator John McCain. All Congress seems capable of is hand-wringing. So it is up to Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton to revive the national debate on Iraq — and up the pressure on the White House. While it is clear that Mr. Bush has no intention of coming up with an exit strategy, there are things he could do to give his successor a better chance at containing the chaos after American troops leave.

* A rational debate must first recognize that Iraq is still a very dangerous place. An increase in American forces last year initially produced a steep decline in insurgent attacks. But attacks in April killed more than 50 United States troops — the highest death toll for a single month since last September. Americans also need a full accounting of the American-financed and American-led military training programs in Iraq, and a better explanation of why Iraqi forces remain so weak. Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki’s decision to finally challenge some Shiite militias was a good thing, but it exposed how the Iraqi Army remains unprepared — even now — to fight by itself. We are encouraged that Mr. Maliki chose to talk to Tehran about its role in arming and financing militias. It is long past time for Iranian leaders to hear directly — and firmly — from their Shiite brethren in Baghdad that such destabilizing behavior must stop. The United States also needs to engage Iran, Syria and all of Iraq’s neighbors.

They need to understand that more chaos in Iraq is not in their interest. It is shocking that the United States and Iraq still have no strategy for dealing with more than 4 million Iraqis who have been driven from their homes; 2.7 million people are internally displaced, and there are another 1.5 million or more refugees in Syria and Jordan. This is not only a question of human suffering. It threatens to spread Iraq’s chaos far beyond its borders. Both Iraq and the United States must take responsibility. Baghdad, awash in oil profits, must provide more aid to its own people. Washington must provide more aid and allow in many more than the 12,000 refugees it has pledged to accept for this year. We fear that it is unlikely to meet even that meager target. The list of failings and missions not accomplished doesn’t stop there. Millions of Iraqis still don’t have clean water and medical care, thousands are jobless, the government is still dragging its feet on important reforms like an oil sharing law. Mr. Bush no longer declares “Mission Accomplished.” Quite the opposite. He has made clear that he will keep troops in Iraq until he leaves office — and then abandon the mess to his successor. The three senators who want his job should insist that he address these problems now. spinning Iraq to keep our economy appearing successful

* 4 million permanent nomads and growing, Millions of Iraqis still don’t have clean water and medical care, thousands are jobless, the government is still dragging its feet on important reforms like an oil sharing law. That's success! How many more Billions must we spend and thousands must we kill in this Facade?

Yesterday It was a big day for apologies to the troops yesterday. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates apologized once again for the sub-standard treatment the war wounded receive, security rules are being modified to avoid the stigma that mental health treatment disqualifies one for a clearance, and the Secretary labeled the barracks conditions of soldiers in North Carolina "appalling." what the hell is new? Though it is true that a Secretary of the Army and a few generals and other officers have been relieved as a result of the Walter Reed scandals, the larger scandal is that our defense budget has never been bigger while the number in uniform has hardly ever been smaller, and yet we still are unable to fulfill our Constitutional responsibilities - our Constitutional responsibilities - to support and maintain a military. Big deal! What the hell has changed?

The first impulse when the subject of supporting the troops comes up is either to have more troops (!) or spend more money. This is the stance of all three presidential candidates, by the way. No one is saying: Where the hell does the half a trillion dollars we spend every year on defense go? Not even anyone in Congress seems to be that alarmed that we could be so incompetent or wasteful or inattentive that hospitals and barracks could, in this day and age, be "appalling." And I might add that under the Constitution it is the responsibility of Congress to support and maintain the Army and the Navy. how can we spend more money? The answer is clearly not more money: The Pentagon has got to be the only large-scale enterprise on the planet (after all, the Soviet Union is gone) where the more it screws up, the more it fails its workers, the more it fails to produce a bottom line, the more it gets. I've asked many times before where all that money goes. What is appalling is that not very man people in power seem to any longer care.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates had to learn from the television networks and from YouTube of the conditions of barracks at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The father of a soldier assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division ("All Americans"!) shot the video showing peeling lead-based paint, broken plumbing and sewage backing up into sinks, busted toilet seats (remember those $600 seats!) and mold throughout the barracks. Gates also said that the military had made mistakes in treating returning combat troops, not just in having them live in squalor, but in their physical and mental health care. Anyone who has been awake for the past year knows the story, and by now we've heard the Pentagon's sad laments and its commitment to do better ad nauseum. Gates was in Texas to announce a change in procedures regarding the granting and maintaining of security clearances: henceforth soldiers seeking treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or other mental health problems can seek treatment without fear of losing their clearances or harming their careers. The ever empathetic Gates told a group of junior officers that he "shared" their frustrations. Support the troops burn more money

It's sick but the more McCain distances himself from Bush the more like him he gets!

The other day I noted President Bush, hoping to inoculate his party and his presidential legacy from election-year anger over the economy, heaped criticism on the Democratic-led Congress on Tuesday for "letting the American people down." He said he'd consider a summer suspension of federal gasoline taxes. But he offered no new ideas for a range of economic worries now facing the country, from record gas prices and soaring food costs to rising inflation, layoffs and home foreclosures, and a credit crunch that even has sparked fears of a college student loan squeeze.

He rejected a new economic stimulus package, saying the tax rebate checks that began going out this week from a $168 billion economic aid plan adopted in February must first be given time to work. He also rejected bipartisan suggestions that the government stop filling the nation's Strategic Petroleum Reserve while oil costs so much, saying it involves such a tiny amount of supply that doing so wouldn't push prices down. Instead, the president tried to shift the focus to Congress, saying he long ago sent lawmakers proposals to deal with many of the nation's economic problems, only to see them sit or be replaced with approaches that he deems unacceptable.

Today it dawned on me the more McCain tries to distance himself from Bush the more like him he gets. John McCain's obsession with banishing "wasteful government" spending in the form of "earmarked" projects has long annoyed his colleagues in Congress. But he may have gone a bit too far lately. In New Orleans' Lower 9th Ward last week, McCain startled reporters when he said Congress was partly to blame for the failed response to Hurricane Katrina, because it "funded pork-barrel projects" instead of "projects that were needed here." Funny I thought Katrina was allowed to do what it did and it was Bush's fault! This week, McCain blamed earmarks for the deadly 2007 collapse of a Minnesota bridge. According to the Associated Press, he told reporters that the bridge "collapsed because so much money was spent on wasteful, unnecessary pork-barrel projects." What the heck is that?

The collapse, which killed 13, remains under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board, but authorities suspect a "serious design error" as a factor. Some Minnesota leaders didn't take well to McCain's musings. Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, a possible McCain running mate, distanced himself from the senator's comments by saying he was waiting for the agency's report. McCain is beating Bush and is alienating his party before he is even elected. As a result According to AP, McCain backtracked somewhat Thursday, stating that he couldn't be sure if redirected spending would have prevented the tragedy. "Do I know specifically whether it would have replaced that bridge in Minneapolis? No, but I know that funding would have been available for higher-priority projects," he said. McCain blames bridge collapse on earmarks -- then backs off

* Not only that but as he gets deeper Sen. John McCain yesterday attempted to clarify comments about last summer's deadly bridge collapse in Minneapolis, saying he never intended to say federal budget earmarks led to the disaster. Responding to reporter's questions as he traveled through Iowa, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee said he meant to say only that earmarks divert money from necessary projects toward unneeded pork-barrel ones. "When you divert money to projects that are unneeded and unwanted, any project that is deserved is not going to receive the funding that's necessary," he said. "And I will maintain again that I believe that when you fund a bridge to Alaska or you fund a highway in Florida that the people there don't even want, then money is diverted from much-needed projects." I have to tell you, that Bridge to no where in Alaska and the Florida highway are Republican projects. All pork projects bother me and there is an easy answer to them and to help the country at the same time.

We can strengthen our homeland defense that is another facade and in reality has been totally ignored. At the same time we can solve the pork problem that both parties take advantage of. They can have their pork and help their state and the country at the same time! We can clean up the abuse of the Political, legal, and financial system, and stop altogether the impetus of politicians to find loopholes to go around the soft money issue by having their special interest donations donated to a Presidential runners home State, an interest of the donor, or the States own school system that may benefit from the money. We should find out right away whether a nominee has the right thing in mind or his or hers own interest in mind. I am sick of al the underhanded childish games only for Political gain while the country is rapidly going down the tubes.

Of Course 5 years later Mission still not Accomplished: It will never be and Bush ensured that as the real goal of attacking Iran gets closer!

CIA Director Michael Hayden said Wednesday that Iranian policy, at the highest government level, is to help kill Americans in Iraq, the boldest pronouncement of Iranian involvement by a U.S. official to date. Hayden made the statement in response to a student question while delivering the Landon Lecture at Kansas State University. "It is my opinion, it is the policy of the Iranian government, approved to highest level of that government, to facilitate the killing of Americans in Iraq," Hayden said. "Just make sure there's clarity on that."

In recent weeks, U.S. officials have ratcheted up their complaints that Iran is increasing its efforts to supply weapons and training to militants in Iraq. Military commanders in Baghdad are expected to roll out evidence of that support soon, including date stamps on newly found weapons caches showing that recently made Iranian weapons are flowing into Iraq at a steadily increasing rate. Another senior military official said the evidence will include mortars, rockets, small arms, roadside bombs and armor-piercing explosives — known as explosively formed penetrators or EFPs — that troops have discovered in caches in recent months. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the evidence has not yet been made public, said dates on some of the weapons were well after Tehran signaled late last year that it was scaling back aid to insurgents.

Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has said the U.S. prefers to resolve the issue through other pressures, but that it has the combat capability to strike Tehran, if necessary. Hayden also said the recent Iraqi offensive in the southern Iraqi city of Basra should stand as a clear indication to Iraq's neighbors that it intends to be a credible force in the region. He added that such activities boost the credentials of the Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's government. CIA Director Hayden Says Iran Wants Americans in Iraq Killed

That isn't enough, it gets much worse. An Israel Cabinet minister says Iran could have nuclear bomb technology in 2008, at least a year earlier than previously believed. Shaul Mofaz, a former defense minister and military chief, said in a speech Wednesday at Yale University in the United States that Iran could have the knowhow to build nuclear arms within months, his spokeswoman Talia Somech said Thursday. Despite international sanctions meant to persuade Iran to stop the program, Tehran is steadily progressing with its pursuit of nuclear technology, Somech cited Mofaz as saying.

Mofaz is in the U.S. holding talks with American intelligence officials. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's office would not comment on Mofaz's new assessment of the Iranian program. Iran denies it is trying to build bombs, insisting its program is meant to produce energy. But Israel, the U.S. and other countries are skeptical. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has threatened to destroy Israel. A recent U.S. intelligence assessment maintains Tehran stopped developing a bomb in 2003. Israel insists Tehran continues to aggressively pursue nuclear weapons. Israeli Minister: Iran Could Have Nuclear Bomb Technology Within Months

That really peeves me because we know Bush will not accept even a nuclear knowledgeable Iran and we expect an attack on them to come before our elections. This is too timely and comes at a time when things are continually getting worse in Iraq and the death toll is climbing and speeding up as we expected.

As we watch the death toll rise: There have been 4,371 coalition deaths -- 4,063 Americans, two Australians, 176 Britons, 13 Bulgarians, one Czech, seven Danes, two Dutch, two Estonians, one Fijian, one Hungarian, 33 Italians, one Kazakh, one Korean, three Latvian, 22 Poles, three Romanians, five Salvadoran, four Slovaks, 11 Spaniards, two Thai and 18 Ukrainians -- in the war in Iraq as of May 1, 2008, according to a CNN count. (Graphical breakdown of casualties). The list below is the names of the soldiers, Marines, airmen, sailors and Coast Guardsmen whose deaths have been reported by their country's governments. The list also includes seven employees of the U.S. Defense Department. At least 29,911 U.S. troops have been wounded in action, according to the Pentagon. I don't think I have to remind you but in attacking Iraq Bush guaranteed that mission will never be accomplished let alone after 5 years. Remember the carrier "mission accomplished"

* As you know, this mess was doomed from day one and nothing will change that. Iran will be attacked and the entire middle east will be embroiled. Thanks to Bush's insistence of putting the Missile Defense System at Russia's door step and his provocation for ex Soviet Satellites to join NATO this too is going to continue to erupt because of Bush as he blames those reacting to his instigation for causing the trouble, in fact Russia is moving troops in as I write this. How the hell does he get away with this? You know how this is all going to end at home, in the middle east, and around the world, as Rodney Dangerfield Bush cries poor me and blames everyone else for what he has purposefully done and he will happily appear forced to fight his Forever war. If we are lucky enough to get rid of him whoever follows him will be forced to deal with the nightmare future Bush has set in place! Just remember how bad everything is getting right now for average Americans and just imagine how bad it is going to get soon. The attack on Iran is sadly only a small part of the whole and your sacrifices are just beginning!
