5 Years ago we had a particularly bad climate report and it got me on to the subject of fresh water which amongst many things has become a pet peeve. Of late the question has been posed often as to why would oil, energy, and other corporations destroy the planet and ruin our fresh water supply when they too depended on it. Then I remembered why.

Climate Report's are increasingly dire but after discussing it with you, the poor getting hit and the rich fleeing to South America which has been the case for years made perfect sense!

We discussed the growing apocalyptic climate situation. During the course of discussion I learned an awful lot that really makes sense now that I see the dire predictions and how they will affect the worlds poor, ours included. political semantics aside just look at this and what I learned from you.

The world faces increased hunger and water shortages in the poorest countries and even in the richest, massive floods and avalanches in Asia, natural and man made catastrope's around the world, and species extinction unless nations adapt to climate change and halt its progress "you know it never will" according to a report approved by an international conference on global warming. I hate to say it but I do not see a 100% turn around changing anything in time but we still must do it.!

We discussed yesterday the fact that a worsened return to the Dust bowl in America is forecast. We already are experiencing more severe storms with human and economic loss, and cultural and social disruptions.We are also already experiencing more hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, droughts, heat waves and wildfires. Knowing this is already happening it makes sense now what I learned from some of you but in a minute please!

We also learned and this only makes sense, that Africa will be hardest hit. By 2020, up to 250 million people are likely to be exposed to water shortages. In some countries, food production could fall by half, it said. Knowing the cries around the world already to increase aid and help to the starving people of Africa this is telling and Dire news indeed. We also know that Parts of Asia are threatened with massive flooding and avalanches from melting Himalayan glaciers. Europe and Australia will be greatly affected from even moderate increases in sea temperatures and changing temperatures as we already see.

That does make me remember that when I was in College a Woman who was a survivalist wanted me to go with her to Nova Scotia because it was believed even then that, that would be one of the only areas spared. Now that brings me to what some people brought to my attention and to put 2 and 2 together.

I have heard here half jokingly that Bush had purchased 3,000 acres in Paraguay and after he screwed up America he was going to flee to Paraguay.
Then someone educated me as to what sits under Bush's little Paraguayan Paradise. the Guarani Aquifer!

After learning this I found out The Guaraní Aquifer System (SAG) is one of the world´s most important fresh groundwater reservoirs, due to its extension (1,200,000 km2) and its volume (40,000 km3). The SAG is shared by four countries: Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay (South America), which use this resource for various purposes with different exploitation levels. GUARANI AQUIFER SYSTEM

After I found this all out I was told that Ted Turner recently bought 37.000 hectares (1 Hectare = 2.471 Acres)from Argentina and they have sold a ton of their land to the rich who were buying up land in water. Hearing the news from the report and that it would affect the poor and our water and food supplies the most it all dawned on me.

The rich are destroying the world for their profit and while the rest of us are doomed to try and survive in the mess they created for their financial gain they will flee to relatively safe areas with protected underground water sources and they will be protected to start over again. After almost 8 years of lies we're still recovering from Bush now we have trump

After a couple conversations I had yesterday with a couple of our Friends who were getting hit by the created financial mess so total control over us could be gained and this new (dis)order agenda here and around the world could be continued I was thinking in the middle of the night that I would put a compilation together today illustrating once again from beginning to end that we are living a total lie. It is all documented but denied and lied about, and this "manufactured" perfect storm is coming to a head in the perfect time for Bush to do what this says and allow him to take over as dictator for life as I posted a couple days ago. Once again I must digress from covering very important events as McClellan will testify before the House in CIA leak case! Is it too late? First...

US stock markets fell heavily in early afternoon trading on Friday after crude oil prices rocketed by almost 10 dollars a barrel to briefly break the 137 dollar barrier for the first time. The Dow Jones Industrial Average had slumped a hefty 272.76 points (2.16 percent) to 12,331.69 and the tech-dominated Nasdaq composite had dived 46.48 points (1.82 percent) to 2,503.46 at 1736 GMT. The broad-market Standard & Poor's 500 index retreated 25.62 points (1.82 percent) to 1,378.43. Traders said a sharp spike in oil prices had added to Wall Street's earlier losses. Stocks had been weighed down in earlier trading as a government survey revealed a sharp jump in unemployment. Wall Street's losses deepened as a key New York oil futures contract rocketed 9.91 dollars to a record 137.70 dollars per barrel before retreating somewhat. Hell I saw it closing in on $1400 myself! Major US automakers such as General Motors have blamed soaring oil costs for falling sales and the closure of production facilities while big domestic airlines, including American Airlines, have announced layoffs and flight cutbacks due to rising fuel bills. this is still just the beginning

"There's a short window for the president here when it comes to new policy. We understand that," Gillespie said. "So I guess what I'm saying is, don't rule it out." Gillespie spoke before a Bush speech on the economy, timed around the ceremonial swearing-in of the president's new housing secretary, Steven Preston. In his remarks, Bush stuck to promoting his existing economic policies. The government's $168 billion stimulus package, passed in February, began getting tax rebate checks to people last month and helped to energize shoppers. "We're beginning to see signs that the stimulus may be working," Bush said at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. But analysts believe consumers still are anxious, and a weakening job market could make people feel less inclined to spend. This, and talk that the economy already has fallen into its first recession since 2001, has led to questions about whether a second stimulus might be warranted.

* The first one provided rebate checks for individuals and extra tax breaks for businesses. The White House has insisted it needed to wait to see the full effects of the existing stimulus before discussing any new steps. The president did not unveil any new proposals during his speech, nor even hint whether he believes any are necessary. Instead, he called on the Democratic-controlled Congress to pass long-sought existing priorities of his, such as making tax cuts passed during his presidency permanent and allowing expanded oil exploration in the United States. "Unfortunately, these policies are being blocked by the Democratic Congress," he said. "I call on the congressional leaders to put partisanship aside and work with me to enact these important issues for the American people." Earlier Friday, a government report showed that the nation's unemployment rate jumped to 5.5 percent last month, the biggest monthly rise since 1986 and another sign of a deeply troubled economy. Dwindling job opportunities are combined with continuing hardship in the housing, credit and financial sectors.

Omitting the president's sentences is called 'deceitful.' He was answering a question about whether his comments in Israel on negotiating with terrorists were directed at Barack Obama. The White House criticized NBC News on Monday for what aides to President Bush called "deceitful" editing of an interview in which Bush was asked whether comments about the president of Iran were directed at Sen. Barack Obama.

Bush aides were angered by the way the president's answer was portrayed when correspondent Richard Engel asked about his address to the Israeli parliament last week.Bush had mentioned the president of Iran in the speech and said: "Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along." Obama, the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination, considered that an attack on him. The White House denied it.

Engel asked Bush if he had been referring to Obama. As it appeared on “Nightly News” on Sunday and the “Today” show#24696422 on Monday, Bush's response was: "You know, my policies haven't changed, but evidently the political calendar has. . . . And when, you know, a leader of Iran says that they want to destroy Israel, you've got to take those words seriously." NBC deleted the following passage between those sentences: "People need to read the speech. You didn't get it exactly right, either. What I said was that we need to take the words of people seriously."

Bush counsel Ed Gillespie, in a letter to NBC, said that "this deceitful editing to further a media-manufactured story line is utterly misleading and irresponsible." The unedited Bush interview#24696309 is on the network's website, NBC noted, saying the reporting accurately reflected the interview. Gillespie said: "It's simply absurd for people to have to log onto the Internet and stream video to get accurate information from NBC News."

He rejected a new economic stimulus package, saying the tax rebate checks that began going out this week from a $168 billion economic aid plan adopted in February must first be given time to work. He also rejected bipartisan suggestions that the government stop filling the nation's Strategic Petroleum Reserve while oil costs so much, saying it involves such a tiny amount of supply that doing so wouldn't push prices down. Instead, the president tried to shift the focus to Congress, saying he long ago sent lawmakers proposals to deal with many of the nation's economic problems, only to see them sit or be replaced with approaches that he deems unacceptable.

Today it dawned on me the more McCain tries to distance himself from Bush the more like him he gets. John McCain's obsession with banishing "wasteful government" spending in the form of "earmarked" projects has long annoyed his colleagues in Congress. But he may have gone a bit too far lately. In New Orleans' Lower 9th Ward last week, McCain startled reporters when he said Congress was partly to blame for the failed response to Hurricane Katrina, because it "funded pork-barrel projects" instead of "projects that were needed here." Funny I thought Katrina was allowed to do what it did and it was Bush's fault!This week, McCain blamed earmarks for the deadly 2007 collapse of a Minnesota bridge. According to the Associated Press, he told reporters that the bridge "collapsed because so much money was spent on wasteful, unnecessary pork-barrel projects." What the heck is that?

The collapse, which killed 13, remains under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board, but authorities suspect a "serious design error" as a factor. Some Minnesota leaders didn't take well to McCain's musings. Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, a possible McCain running mate, distanced himself from the senator's comments by saying he was waiting for the agency's report. McCain is beating Bush and is alienating his party before he is even elected. As a result According to AP, McCain backtracked somewhat Thursday, stating that he couldn't be sure if redirected spending would have prevented the tragedy. "Do I know specifically whether it would have replaced that bridge in Minneapolis? No, but I know that funding would have been available for higher-priority projects," he said. McCain blames bridge collapse on earmarks -- then backs off

* Not only that but as he gets deeper Sen. John McCain yesterday attempted to clarify comments about last summer's deadly bridge collapse in Minneapolis, saying he never intended to say federal budget earmarks led to the disaster. Responding to reporter's questions as he traveled through Iowa, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee said he meant to say only that earmarks divert money from necessary projects toward unneeded pork-barrel ones. "When you divert money to projects that are unneeded and unwanted, any project that is deserved is not going to receive the funding that's necessary," he said. "And I will maintain again that I believe that when you fund a bridge to Alaska or you fund a highway in Florida that the people there don't even want, then money is diverted from much-needed projects." I have to tell you, that Bridge to no where in Alaska and the Florida highway are Republican projects. All pork projects bother me and there is an easy answer to them and to help the country at the same time.

We can strengthen our homeland defense that is another facade and in reality has been totally ignored. At the same time we can solve the pork problem that both parties take advantage of. They can have their pork and help their state and the country at the same time! We can clean up the abuse of the Political, legal, and financial system, and stop altogether the impetus of politicians to find loopholes to go around the soft money issue by having their special interest donations donated to a Presidential runners home State, an interest of the donor, or the States own school system that may benefit from the money. We should find out right away whether a nominee has the right thing in mind or his or hers own interest in mind. I am sick of al the underhanded childish games only for Political gain while the country is rapidly going down the tubes.

This morning was a continuation as I went through last nights news to see what had to be discussed so the truth could be told and every single story once again was about the Bush created breakdown of order in America and around the world and the assignation of blame to Democrats and everyone else in the world while poor bush seven years later still suffering from the Rodney Dangerfield syndrome did nothing and gets no respect. As a result I will focus on one aspect from America, Iraq, Iran, and Russia!

Iran has dramatically reduced dependence on the dollar over the past year in the face of increasing U.S. pressure on its financial system and the fall in the value of the American currency.

Oil is priced in dollars on the world market, and the currency's depreciation has concerned producers because it has contributed to rising crude prices and eroded the value of their dollar reserves. "The dollar has totally been removed from Iran's oil transactions," Oil Ministry official Hojjatollah Ghanimifard told state-run television Wednesday. "We have agreed with all of our crude oil customers to do our transactions in non-dollar currencies."

* Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called the depreciating dollar a "worthless piece of paper" at a rare summit last year in Saudi Arabia attended by state leaders from OPEC countries. In Europe, Iran's oil is sold in Euros, but both Euros and yen are paid for Iranian crude in Asia," said Ghanimifard. Iran's central bank has also been reducing its foreign reserves denominated in dollars, motivated by the falling value of the greenback and U.S. attempts to make it difficult for Iran to conduct dollar transactions. Over recent weeks Russia appears to have been significantly turning up the pressure in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, the BBC's diplomatic correspondent Jonathan Marcus says. He says that many Western diplomats see these moves as part of a more assertive Russian policy in the wake of Western recognition of the independence of Kosovo in February. The row over Moscow's support for separatist enclaves in Georgia now threatens to provoke a more serious strain between Russia and the West, our correspondent adds.

I have talked for years and often that Bush practiced the politics of division to accomplish what he wants. These Rove taught 3D Politics (divisive, deceptive, deceitful, Politics) are used daily on us to create his new societal order and are now being employed by those running for office today. Underhanded Politics are the new norm. Lies are the new truth! bush has created division here and around the world to be used to get what he wants! He uses it routinely in the middle east to create what he thinks will be his new middle east order. He is using it around the entire world creating division wherever he can get a toe hold.

* Kosovo is the straw that broke the camels back. Kosovo's declaration of independence backed by some but vowed illegal by others including Russia who has declared a possibility of war over the issue because Bush is upsetting world order. What they do not understand is that is bush's whole idea! Earlier Palestine said that a Kosovo style Independence with a neutral police force might be the way for them to go. I don't know! In Geneva, 3,000 people massed outside U.N. offices, and in Brussels, Belgium, several hundred Serbs gathered outside EU offices chanting "Kosovo is Serbia" and waving placards that read "Ask any lawyer" and "Don't legalize it."

First An explosion ripped through a U.S. Embassy vehicle Tuesday as it traveled along a coastal highway north of Beirut, killing four Lebanese civilian bystanders, according to American and Lebanese officials. Four Lebanese civilians were killed in the blast, which happened around 4:45 p.m. (9:45 a.m. ET), according to McCormack and Lebanese Cabinet minister Marwan Hamadeh. An American, an Iraqi and three Lebanese were among those wounded in the blast, said a Western diplomatic source. The Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation said 20 were injured, including several who were treated at the scene for minor wounds. The attack happened during "a major political crisis" in Lebanon, which has been without a president for nearly eight weeks amid a bitter political feud.

"This explosion just exacerbates a difficult situation," spokesman Chatah told CNN. Tuesday's blast appears to be the latest in a series of attacks against pro-Western, anti-Syrian targets in the Lebanese capital. As we listened to the Partisan bickering over an Iraq withdrawal we have been reduced to playing Republican games. In this instance it is the Political theater of a Senate sleep over. The vote of course failed and is being called a defeat for the Democrats but it is not. It is a defeat for America and our troops.
Meanwhile some very important Issues to our troops and their care is being ignored and swept under the rug. As I was researching news sources to talk about what was happening or "not happening" in the Senate I discovered the usual biased coverage. While CNN took this seriously Fox accused Democrats of playing games. Meanwhile nothing is going to get accomplished and I had to go to other sources and stories to get the serious news on this that is glossed over, ignored, and not mentioned to us.
The CNN story did show that as we know, that all night session was absolutely worthless as everyone interviewed insisted on holding their Partisan course while ignoring the real issues at hand.
It is sickening to hear the childish senseless banter to Protect Bush and his mess while our troops are in real danger, being ill cared for, and their equipment needs go unmet and underfunded by Bush.

Sen. Christopher Dodd of Connecticut did say that he would introduce an amendment to the defense authorization bill that would cut funding for combat missions in Iraq and he would use the billions in savings to rebuild the nation's military. that of course is something else that may be needed but will never happen. Millions of dollars a week are being squandered in Iraq . While our nation's military is calling out for additional resources to repair the damage caused by the administration's policies Dodd said.
Dodd said the National Guard has requested $38 billion from Congress to replace vehicles, aircraft, equipment and personal gear that were transferred to Iraq, and that shortfall remains unfunded in the current defense authorization bill.
"It means that we are short of equipment to respond to natural and man-made disasters here at home, short of equipment for training, short of equipment to maintain the standard of maintenance rotation for equipment currently in the field ... short of equipment to protect the American people," he said.
How can we ignore those issues and make a joke out of the very important issue of troop withdrawal? I was disappointed to see that the Washington Post also treated the all night debate as a joke instead of treating our situation seriously. Amidst all these wasted Partisan arguments on withdrawing our troops I did run into an important story that is unfolding at least under my radar and on the Washington Post. Maybe things will get done right, there now.
Anyway the secretary of veterans affairs, resigned yesterday and said he would leave his post by Oct. 1, ending a tenure marked by the largest data breach in the federal government's history and sharp criticism of the care given to injured veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
He has done such a great job of mismanaging the Department of Veterans affairs that I am sure he too will be given a medal.
I'm sure you remember that The agency has faced considerable criticism for its treatment of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans as they move from the military healthcare system to VA's, and for its chronically slow processing of disability claims by injured or sick veterans from all eras. Critics complain about lost paperwork, a shortage of VA caseworkers, a caseload of 400,000 pending disability claims and long waits for initial appointments in the VA healthcare system.
The criticism grew louder this year when The Washington Post revealed decrepit conditions and poor outpatient treatment of wounded troops at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, though that facility is run by the Pentagon, not VA.

All I heard was A face to face Demand for the truth and no more Blind Backing of Bush's so called New Order!

I see Michael Moore has been recieving some attention here but I just want to discuss the truth finally getting some air time. The video which I recommend seeing if you haven't yet is at the end of this story. I had the good fortune last night to catch the interview of Michael Moore by Wolf Blitzer. After a three year hiatus Michael was primed. I was pretty impressed at his performance. He was there to discuss his latest movie "Sicko" He begrudgingly did that but he kept reverting to his movie Fahrenheit 911: and the lies that were told about that movie and he never recieved requested apologies for being right..
I can't really say I have seen either one but I do remember the reviews of Fahrenheit 911 and CNN and Fox amongst others refuting what Michael was saying about 9/11. I thought Mike was on top of the interview and in control. He pointed out that everything he said in Fahrenheit about the WMD and numerous other lies that were trumpeted on major media turned out to be true as many of us have always asserted ourselves.
He kept asking Blitzer why he did not apologize to him and the American people for not telling the truth, being a mouthpiece for the numerous lies we continue to be told, and admit that they were wrong. Michael was right but despite the many apology requests I don't believe I ever heard it. I do believe Michael and the American people are owed a major apology by the media and everyone else that is supposed to be serving America and the American people. The constant misrepresentation of the truth allowing Bush to continue on his mis course to me just proved that despite Bush's complaints, the media has up to now been in his pocket and cowardly complacent to him and his mis agenda. they too bear the blame for where we are today.
As Michael pointed out, it took 4 years before the truth started being told about Bush, Cheney, and much of the corruption and underhanded activities coming right from the top in this Mis Administration. Iraq and the health care industry are only 2 of the endless corruptive lies we have all been fed since some fools elected Bush. I really was impressed to hear the truth demanded by someone who stands a chance to get heard and make a difference. I can only hope that those like Michael Moore will continue to speak up and start to make a real difference so we can get "our America" back and get back on track.
I have the transcripts for the two part interview of Moore but watching this 3 minute video must be seen and enjoyed He was fired up and demanding that the media tell the truth, level with the American People, and apologize to him as Fahrenheit proved to be spot on in every respect and not the lies they reported for Bush. First, to me it is ridiculous that Cheney feels he can claim executive privilege or any privilege for that matter. However when you remember the upity no good we're dealing with, it is no surprise. It is also no surprise to those of you that read my diaries that I believe Cheney is the real Decider and purveyor of this so called new order while Bush is merely the figurehead and the life long cheerleader elected to push the agenda through. Democrats think he has too much power. If they only knew!
I have been keeping an eye on events and at this point I think knee jerk reactions are gone by so I would like to discuss the latest developments! Bush calls these "Political games" but that of course only applies to Democrats. Anyway! It is doing the right thing if Bush does it.
As you know, Cheney routinely refuses to cooperate or show records on anything quoting executive privilege however as we discussed he has taken his quest for secrecy a step further by challenging demands from the US National Archives for information about the volume of classified documents generated by his office.
The dispute has exposed Mr Cheney to a fresh wave of questions about his powerful role at the heart of the Bush administration and added momentum to efforts by the Democratic-controlled Congress to uncover the secrets of his office.

I thought it a bit much but I thought it interesting when in response to Vice President Dick Cheney's claim that he doesn't have to follow executive orders on safeguarding classified information because he is part of the legislative branch has prompted congressional Democrats to respond in kind.

Rahm Emanuel, chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, is proposing lopping off funding for the vice president's office when the annual spending bill for the executive branch comes before the House later this week. I thought that was pretty interesting and stupefying when Lea Anne McBride, the vice president's spokeswoman, fired back saying Emanuel can either deal with the serious issues facing our country or create more partisan politics.

I really can't see getting away with Defunding Cheney's office and I did find it interesting when at Noon today I heard The Senate Judiciary Committee subpoenaed the White House and Vice President Dick Cheney's office Wednesday for documents relating to President Bush's warrant-free eavesdropping program.
Also named in subpoenas signed by committee Chairman Patrick Leahy, D-Vermont, were the Justice Department and the National Security Council. The committee wants documents that might shed light on internal disputes within the administration over the legality of the program.
"Our attempts to obtain information through testimony of administration witnesses have been met with a consistent pattern of evasion and misdirection," Leahy said in his cover letters for the subpoenas. "There is no legitimate argument for withholding the requested materials from this committee."
Echoing its response to previous congressional subpoenas to former administration officials Harriet Miers and Sara Taylor, the White House gave no indication that it would comply. I'll tell you, we are not getting much done because Bush and Cheny et al. will do their darnedest to make us appear as worthless as them but you have to admit that we are trying. I also have to say that in light of recent Democratic announcements and action, that we are getting desperate to be listened too and have an impact.
