Yemen: U.S. Strike Kills Local Al Qaeda Media Chief Ibrahim al-Bana along with six other militants after killing Anwar al-Awlaki

Is Al Qaeda really going down? Can anyone really think it matters or we are winning this so called war on terror? Yemen: U.S. Strike Kills Local Al Qaeda Media Chief: A U.S. airstrike has killed the media chief for Al Qaeda's Yemeni branch along with six other militants including Al-Awlaki's son, Yemen's government and security officials said Saturday, in the second high-profile American missile attack in as many weeks to target the terror group.

The strike, which follows the killing of prominent U.S.-born cleric Anwar al-Awlaki in a similar American missile attack late last month, points to Washington's growing use of drones to hit al Qaeda militants in Yemen. The targeted attacks appear to be part of a determined effort to stamp out the threat from the group, known as al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, which U.S. officials have said is the terror network's most active and most dangerous branch. The slain media chief, identified as Egyptian-born Ibrahim al-Bana, was killed along with six other militants in the southeastern province of Shabwa on Friday night.

'US delivered justice to Osama bin Laden; Al Qaeda on path to defeat': We can't be this stupid? Well are they?

US delivered justice to Osama bin Laden; Al Qaeda on path to defeat
Ahead of the 10th anniversary of 9/11 attacks by al-Qaeda, President Barack Obamaz on Friday said the US delivered justice to Osama bin Laden, who was killed in a covert American raid in Pakistan on May 2, and declared the terror network is on the path to defeat. "The perpetrators of those (9/11) attacks wanted to terrorize us, but they are no match for our resilience. Today, our country is more secure and our enemies are weaker. We can't be this stupid?

What about Al Qaeda in Iraq? I know we are blaming increased bombings on them having resurged. What about Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula? What about Al Shabab and other Al Qaeda associates in Somalia? What about Al Qaeda in Yemen who we blame for attempted bombings on the US and around the world? What about the lone wolfs in the US and around the world? the sleeper cells? We have won or defeated nothing! This is just beginning!

Three Terrorist Groups in Africa Pose Threat to US, American Commander Says: General Ham made clear that the three militant organizations — the Al Shabab in Somalia, Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb across the Sahel region of northern Africa and Boko Haram in northern Nigeria — had not yet shown the capability to mount significant attacks outside their homelands.

If you have been following me you know that this so called war on terror in my mind was long instigated by the west and is just beginning. Personally I am sick of hearing how we are killing Al Qaeda and Taliban leaders and weakening the so called war on terror. First this is not a war on terror and we are winning nothing it is just beginning.

Like it or not this is a war against the majority of Islam. It is a Religious war and that is only part of it around the world! I am sick of hearing world leaders come out after an attack on our interests saying they strongly condemn the actions of the so called terrorists! So what! That is absolutely worthless! Now we are in Uganda and a few other African countries supposedly only with advisers. Hell that is the way we started in Vietnam. What the hell is wrong with us? What is next? WTF?

From the beginning the so called terrorists said they wanted us off their lands which will never happen so what does Bush do he attacks them and rubs salt in the wound. We have our work cut out for us and will have to fight and it will be much longer than anyone can imagine. I said years ago that as we know Religious wars are the longest and the dirtiest and this will be the worst and at a point in time when our Planet is at a point in its life cycle where it may not survive and be life sustaining as we need it to survive as we know it!

Anyway you look at it this so called terrorism fiasco is just beginning and will be fought for many generations. I am of the frame of mind that these people will only get better and more desperate over time. They are learning from us every day and we better start learning from them. Do not trust in your leaders keep an eye peeled! The war on terrorism is will not go away and will have to be fought to win regardless of how long, period.

A War of choice versus war of necessity: Drug war deaths compared to terrorism war deaths

The latest or so we think: 53 die in attack on Mexican casino: At least 53 people were killed in a fiery attack at a casino in an upscale area of Monterrey, Mexico, government and emergency officials said.

Bomb kills 7 at U.N. building in Nigeria: At least seven people have been killed and many more injured in a bombing Friday at the U.N. building in the center of the Nigerian capital, Abuja, witnesses say. Recent attacks, including on the church and police station, may have been the work of a radical Muslim sect, Boko Haram aims to enforce a strict version of Sharia law in the nation.Africa's most populous nation is divided between a largely Christian south and a Muslim north. Islamist and anti Christian Religious terrorism, you bet!
Nigerian Islamist militants claim UN attack: Christian Science MonitorNigerian Islamist militants claim UN attack. Christian Science Monitor: Today's suicide attack on the United Nations headquarters in Nigeria marks the first time Boko Haram has struck a foreign target.

Researching the death totals in the war on terrorism is unbelievably convoluted and the totals elusive so here you can just take a look and I will explain at the bottom

Here too researching the death totals in the war on drugs is unbelievably convoluted and the totals elusive so here you can just take a look and I will again explain at the bottom

Any way you look at it the world realizes the war on drugs is lost and the war on drugs has been a war of choice. The world says drug war lost end it so the US increases drug war spending. Duh!

In closing on this subject I want to say something different for me. When I think of the war on drugs I think illegal drugs but at the link above I learned something I never gave a thought and that is that over 50,000 Americans are killed a year from prescription drugs. That is a growing problem and where we should be concentrating our efforts.

If you have been following me you know that this so called war on terror in my mind was long instigated by the west and is just beginning. I am sick of hearing how we are killing Al Qaeda and Taliban leaders and weakening the so called war on terror. First this is not a war on terror and we are winning nothing it is just beginning.

A milestone in Iraq not discussed as Zero Americans killed in December but we’re off to the Gulf of Aden so?

No U.S. deaths in Iraq in December : World & Nation :

I have to reiterate something I have said too many times since Bush chose to ignore all warnings of total civil war spreading throughout the entire Middle East so he could attack Iraq and straighten out the Middle East as God spoke to him and instructed him to. You know I firmly believe and have said so a million times by now that since 9/11 everything was construed to allow Bush to gain the power he needed to prosecute his new order not just in the Middle East but on the entire world! He diverted from Afghanistan to get back into the Middle East with the goal of setting up a larger safety zone for Israel and going after Iran.

Bush has created a hell on earth for Iraq that he calls liberty and success with promises to spread it throughout the entire Middle East. He has long wanted a Korea style force in Iraq to secure the peace! We were concerned because we knew that would never work in Iraq or the Middle East! Planting our military in the middle of the mess Bush has created out of the Middle East because of his failed Democratization program would be a Custer's Last Stand on a grand scale!

I still; see a total civil war Sunni against Shiite erupting in the Middle East because Bush freed up Iran to instigate it on their end and they are. I still am concerned we will have a permanent presence in the Middle East but feel we will have to largely leave Iraq to her own demise. We will still be there but it looks like Yemen, and the Gulf of Aden will be the prime focus unless Iran gets something going between the US and Iran.

I am psyched as I see the civil war Bush created in Iraq progressing and without killing and involving American troops. We have a milestone in Iraq I feared I would never see. December is the first month free of American deaths since this began in March 2003. 2009 was also the lowest year for casualties since this started. No US combat deaths in Iraq in December‎ -

However what’s it worth as we just discussed the new front in the war on terrorism is the Gulf of Aden

A little history on our "friend" Pervez Musharraf" and our "ally" Pakistan!

Most do not know or forget Pakistan's long History of assassinations, internal strife, and deceitful government Hmm sounds sounds like us doesn't it! Anyway I saw the Wolf Blitzer interview of Musharraf on CNN! Discussed was the fact that Musharraf said last year that the President may change but the policies will remain the same! We all knew around the world they would but under Obama there would be Diplomacy and there is!

Things are changing quickly here and because of Obama's Diplomacy of peace tempered with the fact that we must have peace but we will never back down or be defeated! That in itself is a major change and has already bared fruit between Israel and Hamas who have now found common ground, Iraq who now says we can leave by May of next year though I still expect them to turn on each other once we leave, and the entire world saying they will work with him. That is tempered with the knowledge that Iran feels empowered by Hamas using the tunnels and powering back up to fight, Russia now pushing Obama around the world and specifically in South America, and China tightening its economic policies pushing Obama to see how far they can go and what he is going to do! Right now I want to talk about our "main ally" in this just beginning so called war on terror. The history is long, convoluted, and just another part of the lie we are living today! Musharraf emphasized Pakistan is being treated unfairly in this so called war on terror receiving only $10 Billion while Afghanistan has received $tens of Billions, and the war in Iraq up to $1 trillion. I have to agree with him but Pakistan is not the tried and true friend for 48 years that Musharraf wants us to think. musharraf on Pakistan being mistreated

A reminder of their deceit and complicity with the so called war on terror and the CIA! The CIA was complicit with Pakistan's ISI and let 9/11 occur do they really think we the believed Pakistan's Lies of Al Qaeda killing Benazir? I want to discuss the complicit CIA going to bat for Musharraf and Pakistan's ISI once again!

First some history! The complicity is well documented but as usual, denied! They can't really think they have any credibility?

The 911 movie, press for truth has got to be the very best movie exposing the 9/11 cover up. Bush, Rice, Cheney, the FBI, CIA, everyone of them said over and over that there was no forewarning that terrorists were going to strike and that planes could be used as missiles to bring down buildings. They all lied about Pakistan's involvement. Why should we believe the CIA? Especially in light of what they are continually did against us. The movie documents factually that we heard in 1995 that planes may be used but never concerned ourselves about it. We received multiple warnings prior to 9/11 that terrorists were around, planes would be used, and the towers were coming down. Surprising to me was that prior to 9/11 one of the hijackers backed out and turned himself in, telling authorities what was going to happen. He was given 2 lie detector tests that he passed with ease. I don't recall who in the Administration said it. But they were told to let him go and send him back to London.

9/11 was allowed to happen for a reason! Once it did occur we attacked Afghanistan of course. As you remember, Bin laden and many of the leadership were trapped in Tora Bora. In the past I have said Bin Laden was allowed to escape so bush could use him to keep fervor up and Afghani's were credited with being responsible for his escape. We knew there were four ways out and only guarded three. We gave them a way out. The CIA and others knew this and let him escape to Pakistan, how are we supposed to believe them? Not only that but I vaguely remember hearing about a 1,000 car caravan but it was never mentioned that we were bombing the area around it but allowed the 1,000 car caravan carrying the Bin Laden entourage to escape into Pakistan and at night, come on. Most do not know it was us that designed Tora Bora for the Mujahedeen as a safe house against Russia. We know all the secrets and in's and outs! Now this part really irks me and I for one never heard anything about it and still don't. As far as I am concerned Pakistan is no friend of America's and will partner with India and turn on us when the time comes. We also heard over and over how Bush would track down any Al Qaeda finances and try anyone involved. He made a big deal out of the fact that someone outed the fact that we were checking out electronic transfers etc. Something he himself announced.

Then I watched the movie and find out that the head of the Pakistani ISI transferred $100,000 to Muhammad Atta just prior to the 9/11 attacks. This gets worse. Primarily because not only do we have records of this financing as well as pictures but we ignored it and supposedly are in cahoots with them. What happened to anyone caught aiding, abetting, or financing terrorism being hunted down? To make it worse, the joke of a sideshow they called the 9/11 commission hearings was an obvious farce. Again I ask, how are we suppose to trust the FBI,CIA, and especially Bush's Government which had taken total control of us through lies and secret laws?

We knew Rice and others were lying and Bush and Cheney were allowed to hold hands and lie together (take that any way you want). I think I vaguely remember hearing this but like everything else it was dismissed as insignificant. Anyway, the guy who ran Bush's election campaign if I remember correctly, was the one running the commission hearings. He was the one who decided what was significant and what wasn't as well as what questions could be asked. What the hell is that? This entire thing was stacked against the truth and the facts getting out. It was our duty as Americans to hold these liars accountable and we did not. We owed it to the victims. We owed it to our children. We owe it to our history and we owe it to ourselves and this underhanded crap just continues! I like to think not under Obama but he is going to play the game too!

To reiterate, 9/11 was allowed to happen. As you may remember, Bush was looking for something to happen that would put the country and the world behind what he already had plans to do. 9/11 gave him that something. He had plans right from the beginning to establish a new societal, middle east, and world order. That is why it was important to him to whip up a media and public fury which of course, he has done. Bush and the CIA have been complicit with Pakistan from the beginning. They can't seriously think we or the Pakistani's believed them when they come to Musharraf's aid again?

As you know, I am convinced that the ISI and musharraf sympathizers murdered Benazir Bhutto. Amidst increasing violence that will not be quelled Pakistani forts are falling in the tribal areas along the border with Afghanistan. This is just the beginning and this breakdown too will not be averted then Obama will get us in deeper and over the lie called Al Qaeda. For some reason the CIA thinks they have credibility. They are complicit and as dirty as Bush was and Musharraf is.

The Pakistani Taliban and Al Qaeda have drawn closer ideologically over the past couple of years and see themselves at war with the Pakistani state, CNN terrorism analyst Peter Bergen said at a conference at a Washington think tank. He pointed to the growing number of attacks against Pakistani government officials and the ISI, the country's intelligence service. Please read!

* Pakistan is not our ally in this so called war on terror, the so called terrorists, Islamists, so called Al-Qaida, and the Taliban if they have not already meld as one and continue pouring into the frontiers in Pakistan to cross the border and get into Afghanistan to further this fight. They have never been defeated and will not now by Obama or anyone else though I hope I am wrong. Bin Laden may even be dead but he will continually be used to drag us in further and unify Islam against us! This is still just beginning!

Despite "the Surge" and Maliki's futile emergency summit Bush's imposed Iraqi Government will fail then engulf the middle east! Then?

Iraq's prime minister appeared to clear the way Monday - with a last-minute push from the U.S. ambassador - for a crisis council that seeks to save his crumbling government. The U.S. military, meanwhile, announced a third major operation since additional U.S. troops arrived and said it would target al-Qaida in Iraq and Iranian-allied Shiite militia fighters nationwide. The sinking fortunes of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and his Shiite-led administration have become something of a second front for Washington.
Al-Maliki's government - a shaky coalition of Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds - has been gutted by boycotts and defections. A full-scale disintegration could touch off power grabs on all sides and seriously complicate U.S.-led efforts to stabilize Iraq.Al-Maliki has struggled over the past days to pull together a summit of Iraq's main religious and ethnic groups. The meeting finally appeared likely after U.S. Ambassador Ryan Crocker called on Vice President Tariq al-Hashemi, the lone Sunni Arab invited to the talks that are scheduled for Tuesday. Al-Hashemi's attendance had been in question.

A senior American official, who spoke in Baghdad, said the stage was set for major changes in the ``structure, nature and direction of the Iraqi state.'' The official spoke on condition of anonymity because of the delicate nature of the planned gathering. Any political changes in Iraq also have reverberations around the region. Iran, the world's most populous Shiite nation, wants Iraq's majority Shiites to remain the leading voice. The Arab world, including heavyweight Saudi Arabia, offer backing to fellow Sunnis in Iraq. The only certainty at the moment, however, is that al-Maliki's 15-month-old governme
http://www.guardian.co.uk/worldlatest/story/0,,-6848185,00.html

I think we can all agree that it was the dead wrong thing Bush did when he diverted from the so called war on terror to attack Iraq not to save Iraqi's from Saddam but to get America's military in the middle east and as I keep saying, he will leave for nothing until he at least attacks Iran and really gets this going.
Iraq is in civil war and many of us believe it will spread throughout the middle east and then really get going. The problem for us is that Bush will stay in the middle of that still developing mess until he can use our forces elsewhere in the area.
If you think only about the larger issue being the so called global war on terror and nothing else, if Bush had unseated Saddam in another fashion as he should have done and pulled out immediately as he should have done, this really could have worked in our favor. We all know Muslims for whatever reason think only their sect and the way they practice their faith is right and acceptable. All other sects including those in their own that do not practice it the way the dominant force thinks they should, should be killed.

We keep saying the Islamists will only concentrate on killing each other once we leave for whatever reason. We talk about the middle east breaking down to Sunni against Shiite and Bush right in the middle attempting to assert his new middle east order. I am not the only one that believes that, we do not want it but this is a war between us and the majority of Islam.
With that in mind we should pull out of Iraq immediately if fighting terrorism was Bush's real goal. We should concentrate on fortifying America for the inevitable. Watching Pakistan, Afghanistan, and too many other parts of the world we know this is still just getting started and our efforts will be needed and better served elsewhere.
Meanwhile, that explosion in the middle east that Bush started if handled right could work out in our favor if we were to leave right now but you know that will not happen. That so called civil war will not be stopped whether we leave today or 100 years from now. We should realize we cannot stop them from killing each other and step back and let them do their thing.
There is nothing we can do now to stop it. Allowing them to do so would keep them busy and save us a lot of unnecessary trouble. Anyway you look at it I think if we took ourselves out of their mix they would merely concentrate on each other instead of trying to get us off their land. I cannot envision them ever getting along with each other if we were not there to give them a reason to come together. The enemy of our enemy is our enemy!

I am always concerned with Pakistan falling apart and those nukes falling into Islamist hands where they would be instantly used on us and our interests and they would be. That aside and Russia and China, I think we have enough on our plate and we should let the civil war commence without us because it would keep them busy for a while. When they are ready they will be following us home regardless of Partisan rhetoric but we would be more ready if we concentrated on America and not Bush's new world order.
Anyway, with the middle east exploding Sunni against Shiite, Pakistan being 77% Sunni 20% Shiite and erupting, Russia and China having their own Muslim problems, Africa, Indonesia, and most of the rest of the world, it seems we would be best served at this point to protect ourselves and sit back and watch Islam fight it out amidst themselves for now.
The middle east break down Bush guaranteed by attacking Iraq will not be stopped despite Maliki's perceived desire. I really believe he is in bed with Iran and Saudi Arabia is behind the so called Iraqi Al Qaeda and there will be no unified Government there. As you know, every step forward is a giant step backward and every success a total failure. With no infrastructure there will be total failure regardless of our efforts What do you think?

Obama's stance on Pakistan should make you realize what you don't want to hear and no one talks about!

In light of my line of conversation in how this so called war on terror is going to plat out I think it is important to discuss what Barack Obama said today on the subject. He mentioned something that will be a necessity but does not realize the dire repercussions. I don't know what you think of Obama's stance on fighting terrorism or whether or not it will help or hurt him but let's give this a parsing and then discuss reality. Politicians do not and will not ever see it and it is soon to hit us all.
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said Wednesday that he would send troops into Pakistan to hunt down terrorists even without local permission if warranted in an attempt to show strength when his chief rival has described his foreign policy skills as naive.
. I am listening to his speech being analyzed saying he is brave enough to come forward and say and do something Bush has refused too. I don't have to tell you I am no friend of little Bushie's but I am in the unenviable position of defending just this one little thing.
Knowing how volatile the situation is in Pakistan I am convinced that Bush will attack them if he deems necessary or as he said himself, will go into Pakistan to get terrorists if he knows where they are. I don't know how convicted he is to this and I happen to think they are everywhere but yesterday I discussed the ramifications of funding Saudi Arabia and others to do Bush's ground war against Iran and Syria.
He will now be free to go after Pakistan and Iran from the Gulf with our carrier and battle Groups while others will be doing the brunt of the fighting and ground combat. Everything is almost prepared. Bush is prepared in the Gulf and we have a seasoned fleet Admiral in command of middle east forces set to lead events while others expend their efforts on Iran.
Anyway this is called brave talk for Obama and I hate to say it but it is right on target but again, no one mentions the repercussions of doing this. The Illinois Senator warned Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf that he must do more to shut down terrorist operations in his country and evict foreign fighters under an Obama presidency, or Pakistan will risk a U.S. troop invasion and losing hundreds of millions of dollars in U.S. military aid. I don't have to tell you but this may play good politically but there is no way you could clear out those radical Madrasas and the towns of radicals let alone the fiercely independent mountainous areas. Ask the many who have tried and failed as we would.
"Let me make this clear," Obama said in a speech at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. "There are terrorists holed up in those mountains who murdered 3,000 Americans. They are plotting to strike again. It was a terrible mistake to fail to act when we had a chance to take out an al-Qaida leadership meeting in 2005. If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won't act, we will."
I have always thought that was a mistake. Knowing hard line Bush I will never understand that unless there was someone there they wanted kept alive? I can also understand attacking from a drone but to threaten an Invasion? Obama's speech comes the week after his rivalry with New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton erupted into a public fight over their diplomatic intentions. Again I don't have to tell you these Political spats are just that and just to say something because it is Politically favorable plays well but though I in the end cannot see it being avoided but all hell will erupt.
Thousands of Taliban fighters are based in Pakistan's vast and jagged mountains where they can pass into Afghanistan, train for suicide operations and find refuge from local tribesmen. Intelligence experts warn that al-Qaida could be rebuilding here to mount another attack on the United States and you know they are. Invading Pakistan though will bring to a head this war of all wars for sure.
Obama said that as commander in chief he would remove troops from Iraq and putting them "on the right battlefield in Afghanistan and Pakistan." He said he would send at least two more brigades to Afghanistan and increase nonmilitary aid to the country by $1 billion.
ABC7Chicago.com: Obama says he would send troops into Pakistan to hunt down terrorists
I of course agree with that but a million more men over there would do the same thing they would do to bring victory in Iraq, nothing! Politician's and so called experts for some reason do not want you to know or they are too stupid to realize it themselves but this so called war on terror is still just getting started and the Political games must stop if we are to succeed in this endeavor.
Bush has certainly worsened our situation as he endeavors for his new world "dis"order but fighting "insurgents" in Iraq, "Taliban" in Afghanistan, "Al Qaeda" in the U.S, "Islamists" in Pakistan, like it or not will continue to spread and this so called war on terror will be ongoing for generations and despite Partisan rhetoric over Iraq we will be followed home anyway. As you know, I am convinced we will be in Pakistan too. I don't see any way around it and a lot more as this war against Islam that isn't continues to grow. The Politicians and so called experts do not have a clue as to how much of a long haul this in fact will be.

In Bush's misguided effort to bring Democracy to the middle east he might've inadvertantly done right for the wrong reason But!

In Bush's misguided effort to bring Democracy to the middle east he might've done right for the wrong reason, but we must leave now in order to benefit from it!
I was watching the talk shows this morning about Bush, his democratization efforts in the middle east, and Iraq. Of course you never hear the right take but only bias Partisan rhetoric so each side can follow the course they want. It did though set me to thinking!
Anyway listening to the talk shows and communication with many of you we always come to the common sensed conclusion that Bush should not have attacked Iraq.
We keep saying the Islamists will only concentrate on killing each other once we leave for whatever reason. We talk about the middle east breaking down to Sunni against Shiite and Bush right in the middle attempting to assert his new middle east order. Then it dawned on me!
What do you think?
