Syrian crises deepens as Syria implodes

Iran is now in trouble in its own regard at home because of sanctions. Ahmadinejad says the sanctions do not bother Iran but people rioting in the streets and Iran pulling the Quds force out of Syria say Iran is hurting. Lebanon is now having its own problems with the war encroaching on its borders and conflict arising between Hamas and Hezbollah.
Russia is increasingly isolated in its support of Bashar Al Assad in fact Russia at this point is his only support. Arabs and the west are increasingly emboldened to help the rebels and the free Syrian army defeat Assad. Assad at this point looks like he is going down. Even his family is fleeing. Mentioning that has anyone heard about his wife as to her whereabouts?
We have to wonder what is going to happen when Assad falls. Will he use his Chemical weapons and blow this wide open. After what Russia has done to the Syrian people there is no way in the short or long term I can see the rebels allowing Russia to stay in country at all. A new Syria is not going to be allied with Iran so how will this affect Iran beyond further alienation?
This has turned into sectarian warfare!

You have to be very concerned about what is happening in Syria. I still have a problem believing Russia, China, and Iran are  going to allow Syria to fall to Democracy. What we saw after the voter fraud in Iran was mild compared to what the IRG will do if this movement spreads to Iran. I really wish Bashar would step down but Iran is the elephant in the room any way you look at it. The total middle east breakdown we have written about numerous times is well under way. We can only hope we keep it from erupting into WW3.

In closing: You know Putin just got himself reelected as President, he did this so he could be at the helm of Russia as he like me knows 100% that world war is our future. He plans on marshaling China who is rapidly building a more formidable military and whoever he can to take on US hegemony.Russia watched helplessly as we had our way in Libya. Putin blames what is happening in Syria on our interference and Libya for training the protesters to fight against Bashar Al-Assad.

Putin is going to do everything possible to keep us from helping the Syrian people and I really feel for them. I do not see this going down the way Libya did and Iran and Russia are going to make sure it does not. I am afraid the Syrian people are going to be sacrificed, sacrificed in what is merely an opening salvo in this the wars for future dominance. I just heard that Russia is gathering forces to go into Iran via Armenia for a quick strike through Georgia. We have a showdown setting up that looks disastrous for the worlds future. It will be a miracle if we can keep this from turning into WW3!

This comment isnt directly related to Syria's situation, although I believe that Syria is a tool of sort as well. For a few year's Jim, I had one of them "feeling's" like we are brewing up to a large war ... really ... you know, one of them feeling's ya get when something dont look right or alot cant be explained, yet no one is sayin a damn thing kinda deal. But a few year's ago I also heard about water cooler chat in Washington about some wondering if a "draft" should be reinstated ... you know, like the one we had as kid's, when we had to carry them lil "selective service" card's with us, showing that we signed up, etc. although other's say that's ridiculous, that we have the finest volunteer force's etc ... and no one would need to start a draft, etc But also alot of this stuff you write about make's ya wonder where alot of this is going too ... I mean ... fact's are fact's, eh? .. and this shit is/ has been brewing ... also this pressure in Israel ... you, even ole "Nuttin- Yahoo" nhas been holding up them chart's for the camera's drawing red line's on it, telling the UN ... this should be the deadline warning ya'll should set for Iran to shut- down their nuke joint's and such. You even got ole Romney proposing a defense spending increase of a couple trillion, etc, etc ... I actually believe Jim ... that, that is another reason there is so much pac money going to the GOP as well ... and alot of interest's with defense contractor's ... I mean, I am very supportive of our vet's and active duty military ... but I dont buy the talk that it's to improve our military as much as I believe it's about building a bunch of craft's for sea and air thatv we franjly dont need, UNLESS we were to have to engage in something of a massive scale ... get what I'm sayin? I actually also suspect that after 2013 election's is when the sales pitches and propaganda would hit the fan's ... I think that no one on the left or right want's to mention anything about this now ... but will somehow slip it to us within a year or two ... a build- up here ... a build- up there, etc,etc ... you know how they pull this stuff ... and I sure as Hell dont know nearlya s much on this stuff as you do ... but just what I do know and gather, make's me wonder what's goin on? I sure as Hell dont think that the money spent to to help our active troop's ... shit man ... I can show you vet's that are homeless in this town living in the street's, where even the Salvation Army wanted to charge them for a bunk for the night ... this is TRUE, I even wrote about it in my Veteran's Spotlight series ... in fact ... before Obama took office, the last administration wasnt even doing that much for our troop's, including defective Humvee's, etc. Yet they (politician's) "cloak" this crap in saying we doing it to have the best protection and military in the world, and to protect out freedom ... which I breckon is kinda true to some extent ... after all ... all these mega entities raping all the resource's arould the globe, ahve to have some protection ... but I dont think none of it has to do with looking out for the American people, etc Just some thought Jim.

BTW, Congrat's to the Pats yesterday when the Broncos came to visit ya'll ... which I watched. It was actually just as chilly here as in Boston ... wre are at 44 this morning in Dallas, but should get up to the mid 60's today, with plenty of sunshine.

Later Jim ....

BTW ... I remember back in the 1970's ... my mom (RIP) predicted that the next largest world at war conflict would start in the Arab world ... she was actually one of them "psychic's" (she called herself a "spiritual reader/ advisor, her specialty was some kind of necromancy thing? ... communication with the dead, at least that's what most of her client's paid for : ) by trade is why I use the word "predict" (not that I believe in that) ... I mean ... that's what my mom actually done for a living ... she was even liscensed and done it in North Hollywood(LA), Brooklyn and Buffalo, I never got into it though, even though she put me on one of them Ouiga (spelling?) board's at 8 year's old, and showed me the Tarot's, etc, etc ... I just kind of laughed it off I reckon ... but oddly ... she made some point's in some of the thing's she talked about such as that.

That was a good game, they are playing pretty goo0d. Ya gotta love Gronk!

You know, your Mother was right! I am really sorry for my kids and Grandchildren.

This is not what I envisioned nor what I wanted to leave them. I find myself apologizing to them and they just say "don't worry we'll deal with it"

In reality with all that is just gearing up in what I call a forever war and the horrific state of the planet the future does not look promising.

Take care Tom and thanks for the input it is appreciated!

Well RC the GOP is just looking for their next war to profit from. If all the spending cuts and increases to the military were enacted this country would be broke beyond repair. You can't cut your way to prosperity any more than you can eat yourself skinny.
And you don't need to be a psychic to know that there will always be turmoil in the middle east. We've been messing with them since the 1950s with all the dictators we've installed. But as you point out this is about the oil and a fight for resources. That's something that's not going to change in the near future.

Jim two points. As to the whereabouts of Assads' wife I believe she may have gone to Egypt. There was a post (actually a letter) from one of her elite friends in another country. I'll check if I get the chance.
As to our involvement I think we know that we can't go up against Russia and China should they somehow combine forces. I see no end in sight to this conflict as they are all really fighting for the country's resources. This is corporate wars on a grand scale if you ask me. But the problem is that after 11+ years of war the American public is tired of it. And if Romney thinks he can just waltz into Iran and take over he is more delusional than I thought.

The real question will be what happens after Syria collapses? Between people leaving and the bombing there can't be a whole lot left of the country. I watched the shelling live for hours and it's gone on for nearly a year now. Who then will pick up the pieces?

Demeur it is stunning to look at the damage they have reigned on Syria. I found myself wondering how they would rebuild it and I can't see it happening.

This is already spreading to Turkey and Lebanon. Irans Quds force supposedly went home because of problems there.

As I keep saying I see no way to keep the entire middle east from erupting and that does not count the so called spring!

I can see what Demeur mean's as far as not being psychic to understand about the middle east, the thing is Jim and "DEMEUR" ... my mom didnt know a thing about the middle east, arab's, politic's, military, or any of what Demeur for instance is so well educated on ... actually like Infidel, who is also seemingly fluent in Arabic ... I mean ... I take that Demeur, because you typed on your blog once in Arabic language, I asked you if you were fluent in Arabic?, yet you didnt answer the question ... the guy I mention Infidel being so, is because Infidel I known personally for over a decade, I mean, I spent two week's when he visited here in Texas showing him around actually (I done all the driving) and Matamoros, Mexico so I know that he know's arabic and about 4 other language's if I recall correctly, that is also why I mentioned the name Infidel to you ... because according to your stat's page, your damn near neighbour's, eh. He too said the same thing to me a couple year's ago exactly what you said, when I told him my mom talked about this middle east conflict, etc, etc ... because he dont believe either in psychic stuff. The thing is ... as I said ... my mom dont even know a damn thing about these intenational issue's, Hell, she didnt even vote or could have told you what her congress rep was, she was the typical pop culture type uninformed American, hippie type, high school drop out ... so it is easy for someone as yourself Demeur, to know and have an understanding of these thing's ... your sure as Hell very well educated despite your a unemployed sanitation worker or something if I recall in your profile ... again, like Infidel who is one of them University of Berkeley educated type's with several year's there, multi lingual, very informed on culture's and language in that part or any part of the world, etc

Just wanted to add that about my mom Jim ... since Demeur had to comment about my mother ... I loved my mom very much ... she died shortly after a very harsh death while I was at her side as well, so you can understand me defending my mother's statement.

Thank You Jim ....
