Hypocrisy Continues to be The Rule Of The Day!

The White House said that "strengthening the ethical standards that govern lobbying activities is a necessary step" in upholding the public trust. The Bush administration also supported language in the House bill that would shed more light on earmarks, or pet projects inserted into legislation.

Why don't we start with the ethical standards in dealing with the Public period? Stop the Facades of Concern! Stop the Lying! Be Honest it works!

The House on Wednesday approved criminal penalties and fines of up to $150 million for energy companies caught price gouging, yet lawmakers acknowledged there is no quick and easy fix to higher pump prices.

That is a lie! what happened to: we know we are being gouged? That is why the law!

This is just another worthless useless facade of concern to cover the politicians while once again doing absolutely nothing about the problem!

Why not follow Brazil's model? When we all faced gas problems in 1970, Brazil vowed to become oil independent. They did it. How? Ethanol. What cars do they drive? Ones built by American companies that run on ethanol. If our car companies can build them already for Brazil, why not start doing for us? Everyone talks about "studying" and developing new sources of energy. Well, they've already done the work for us. Why not just follow their lead?

Political money is in oil and lobbyists, that is why!

Also A federal jury of nine men and three women decided Wednesday that Moussaoui should spend the rest of his life in prison for his role in the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States. He will not be eligible for parole.

This is because supposedly Mossaoui could have prevented 9/11 if he had come forward. Bullshit! We know al Qaeda did not entrust knowledge of an operation to those involved. They only knew about their own piece of the operation!

Bush though could have prevented 9/11. We knew of the existence of those injvolved and that they were in country and something Big was going to happen. Yet we chose to do nothing.
Why isn't Bush held accountable for not doing something? This is just another facade of concern and a diversion of the real facts and responsibilities!
