Haditha, My Lai, What's Changed? The stress Of War! We Don't Like It But It Happens!

Murder charges may be brought against some Marines for what may be the worst atrocity committed by U.S. military personnel in Iraq, a senior Pentagon official said Friday.
The Marines initially reported that one Marine and 15 Iraqi civilians had been killed in crossfire when U.S. forces responded to an insurgent attack on Nov. 19. The first report to the contrary surfaced in March, when Time magazine quoted witnesses saying the Marines "went on a rampage after the attack, killing 15 unarmed Iraqis in their homes, including seven women and three children."

I Included links to both Fox and CNN because the difference in reporting was so stark!

CNN so short and terse, Fox so over the top. It just shows it is all where you get your news!

The top Marine Corps general flew to Iraq yesterday to tell his troops they should kill "only when justified," as the U.S. military investigated whether Marines killed civilians in two incidents.

Many of our Marines have been involved in life-or-death combat or have witnessed the loss of their fellow Marines, and the effects of these events can be numbing. There is the risk of becoming indifferent to the loss of a human life, as well as bringing dishonor upon ourselves," Hagee added.

Knowing that our so called leaders are fond of saying we must learn from Vietnam and continually are shown they have learned nothing I still have to ask.
Do any of them remember My Lai and Lieutenant Calley. Lieutenant Calley was in charge of Charlie Company, a unit of the American Division's 11th Infantry Brigade, who were on a mission to root out the communist 48th Viet Cong Battalion fighters. He ended up losing it and killing innocent civilians.

After deliberating for 79 hours and 57 minutes, the jury returned a verdict. They had found Calley guilty of premeditated murder of 22 of the villagers of My Lai.

This is how it all turned out and where he is today!

So anyway my obvious thought is first that all the training in the world could not prevent this from happening occasionally not that anyone wants it to. However we started this war so despite what the Rummy says, we should have been prepared.
So I have to still ask, did any of these military leaders think of talking to the soldiers, and not just once, routinely and ongoing as common sense would dictate. You know, sensitivity training. combat is a rough thing and requires great restraint and self control on the part of the combatant. Occasionally someone will break, regardless of the preparations. So in the end it looks like right or wrong a trial is just another whitewash so what???

When all is said and done You have to believe that as in every other instance, there was no preparation here either. You know, when I was in College for accounting they said if your wrong it is okay. Just be consistently wrong. Bushco follows that creed and if nothing else they are consistently wrong and out of control!

Anxiety symptoms are important for the diagnosis of the disorder as it helps to determine the underlying factor of the disorder. The symptoms are carefully analyzed using the psychological examination, physical examination, and review of the symptoms, to find out the exact subtype of anxiety. The treatment of anxiety will depend upon the basic reason of the anxiety disorder. It includes biological reasons, family history, brain abnormalities, environmental conditions, chemical imbalance, addiction or any major stressful incidents in life. http://www.xanax-effects.com/
