It would be laughable if all of this was so serious. If Bush wants more power he simply takes it or steals his power. He secretly passes another power grabbing law in our so called Democracy while others are forced to play by the rules. That means U.S. naval forces are operating in the same waters as an organization the United States considers a major supporter of terrorist activity. Adm. Michael Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, made the disclosure Wednesday at the Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where he was answering questions from military students.

The move is of concern to the U.S. Navy, which has long viewed the IRGC's forces as more antagonistic than Iran's regular navy. Mullen said Iran made a "strategic decision" in recent months to "essentially give the entire Gulf to the IRGC over the next four or five years." "That's a big deal, because I think part of the leading-edge challenge with Iran is the IRGC specifically," Mullen said. In recent years, the Iranian military has recognized that, in a toe-to-toe fight with the U.S. military, "they'd get squashed," Samii said.

"That son of a Bee" Those were purposely threatening fighting words aimed at picking a fight and coming from the very spot where it will be fought. Those of you that have read my diaries and there have been many on this subject, know that attacking Iran is only "one" of Bush's original goals.
He diverted from the so called war on terror in Afghanistan so he could get into the middle east and used attacking Iraq as his reason to get in there. He now must stay the course in the middle of their civil war long enough for him to find an excuse to attack Iran.
With interests on both sides spoiling for a fight the reason will soon be found and it will start in the Strait of Hormuz. We know the Patriot missiles are in place around the Gulf. the Charles De Gaulle is standing guard at the entrance and our third carrier supposedly to replace one of the others is due in the Gulf soon. Can anyone tell me when it is due?
Cheney as you know was just in Iraq telling American troops how they are fighting terrorism and must stay the course. He makes them feel righteous and Patriotic including two of my sons but his real intention is that they stay the course long enough to find a reason to attack Iran and fully en "gulf" the entire middle east in his so called "new middle east order"
Cheney said the goal is to prevent Iran's Dominance in the region. their "drive" for dominance was made possible by Bush destabilizing Iraq. Cheney also said the goal is to keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of Iran. It seems to me that the only stated goal from Iran is to have nuclear power. It seems to me after delving into their situation that this might be a valid goal and for a reason we never hear because it would fly in the face of what Bush is trying to get us to believe. We hear constantly from Bushco that Iran's goal is to make nuclear weapons. I don't know if that is true or not but if it is it seems like it again is in response to a threat from us.
Cheney said that throughout the region our country has interests to protect and commitments to honor. I still want to know where the Nimitz is right now but He said that with two carrier strike groups in the Gulf we're sending clear messages to friends and adversaries alike. We'll keep the sea lanes open. We'll stand with our friends in opposing extremism and strategic threats. We'll disrupt attacks on our own forces.
He said we would continue bringing relief to those who suffer and delivering justice to the enemies of freedom. Meanwhile Iran's top nuclear negotiator warned that a compromise over the country's nuclear program will not be possible if the West continues to demand that Iran suspend a program to enrich uranium. knowing that right from the beginning makes it very critical to understanding the politics of threats utilized by Bush. He knows there will be no backing down on uranium enrichment that is why it is made a critical issue.
With no reason for Iran to back down and all the reasons supplied to them by Bush to fight it is only a matter of time before this whole thing blows up. The Strait while Cheney vows to keep open to those allies importing and exporting oil I just want to remind you that Bush seems to be banking on keeping the Gulf open but I wouldn't count on it. I see a major disruption and when all is said and done China and Russia who are now military allies will step in to protect their own vital interests. Repercussions go on and on and I have discussed them many times so I won't again right now but other countries will be in dire straights when the Strait of Hormuz is tied up but we will have other alternatives. Oh what a tangled web we weave!

Supposedly the captured British marines admit to a purposeful incursion into Iranian waters.this is a classic setup.
Iran says the 15 British sailors and marines seized by Iran in the Persian Gulf have confessed to trespassing into Iranian territory, the semi-official FARS News Agency reported Saturday.But the British Ministry of Defense would not confirm the report. The British government said its request to communicate with the detained troops has not been granted by Iran.
The British Ministry of Defense said Friday the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy surrounded and seized the marines while they were conducting a routine inspection on a merchant vessel. They were then "escorted by Iranian vessels into Iranian territorial waters." (Location of incident)

When all is said and done the Revolutionary Guard, Israel, and Bush, will have their War! It looks after all like the Gulf will be the boiling point. I will be keeping an eye on the developments on this as they continue to unfold. Anyway, Bush, Britain, Israel, Iran, China, Russia, all of them are looking for this war and a chance to test their technology and military. They all feel they can militarily win their way and no body will like the results.
It does not seem strange to me at all that this confrontation in the Gulf took place. You have to remember a couple of things. Yesterday I referred to a naval confrontation between Iran and the U.S. in 1998 that was the largest naval battle since WW2 and with the U.S. Losing 1 ship and Iran 6, it was a lopsided victory Iran wants payback and they constantly say do not be fooled, we are much better then during Gulf 1. It also only makes sense that the Revolutionary guard would be in the forefront and not the regular military because as is the case with the U.S., it is the Religious zealots in Iran that are looking to assert their desires not the regular citizens. They will be dragged into this like the average American has been.
A professor from Columbia University said nothing ever comes of these confrontations.You do have to wonder why they pay them the big bucks. There are no experts today beyond those of us on the lower level of life "if you will" where this confrontation is coming from and will be instigated. You constantly hear idiots like Bush say this is a war like no other and we must think like never before as he and others prove incapable of doing. Anyway with that said, the Professor under normal conditions would be right! But these are not normal conditions.
Normally with naval confrontation as this, muscles would be flexed to say don't mess with us and a diplomatic solution would be worked out. It is way beyond that. No one wants a Diplomatic solution. Bush and Israel want their new middle east order and at the same time the so called Islamists want their version. no one wants a Diplomatic solution! It's funny but these so called experts have proven from the beginning of this so called war on terror that they are worthless today and do not have a clue! They have learned no lessons from Vietnam, Lebanon, Iraq, or any of the many interventions and conflicts of the past.
At any rate, Iran, or the revolutionary guard does want conflict. That is why they took the 15 British Marine's and when all is said and done they and Bush will get their way and we will all pay.
