17 civilians beheaded in Afghanistan for commingling, Also 2 children beheaded
17 civilians beheaded in Afghanistan for commingling. A 12 year old boy had his head cut off as a warning to his brother a policeman and to date no one knows why the Taliban cut off the little girls head. Civilians better realize this is not going to stop. This is their future just as their past if they do not come together and eradicate this band of killers this Afghan Mafia.
The bodies of two women and 15 men were found by the side of a road in the Musa Qala district of Helmand province. Meanwhile, 10 Afghan army soldiers were killed in a Taliban attack in the same province. In eastern Afghanistan, two US soldiers were shot dead by an Afghan National Army soldier.
The bodies of the 17 civilians, which were discovered on Monday morning, were said to show signs of beatings. Some had gunshot wounds. Local officials said the men had gathered to listen to music and watch the women dance when they were attacked. The Taliban disapprove of men and women mixing socially.
So much for Mullah Omar coming out last week telling the Taliban to avoid killing civilians. Raping women is okay but nothing else in this he man killers club. Nothing at all has changed since NATO has been there except where the Taliban do their killing.
Remember before we attacked we made a big deal out of the Taliban using a sports field for all their tortures, killings, and public beheading? They have just spread out. This is not going to stop this is their lifestyle. The citizens must realize this and come together and eradicate them.
Dozens of Afghan civilians die in bloody day: More Taliban success!
: Dozens of Afghan civilians die in bloody day: Twenty-three people were killed and 50 others were wounded in the suicide attack in a car park crammed with vehicles supplying the largest NATO base in southern Afghanistan, police said.A suicide bomber on a motorcycle struck first and as a crowd gathered to help the victims a second bomber walked into their midst and set off explosives strapped to his body, Kandahar provincial police chief General Abdul Raziq told AFP.
"All casualties are civilians -- not a single military person," he said. Taliban insurgents claimed responsibility for the bombing, saying on their website that "several dozen of the foreign terrorist forces and their puppets were killed Wednesday in a martyrdom attack".
Pakistan and Taliban accused of poisoning Afghan schoolchildren: Pakistan and Taliban accused of poisoning Afghan schoolchildren. Afghan intelligence on Wednesday accused Pakistani spies of poisoning schoolgirls as authorities battle to halt a string of alleged attacks that have sown panic in parts of the north.
President Hamid Karzai called for an investigation and Mr Mashal said the intelligence service discovered a conspiracy by militants to try to scare families from sending their children to school. "They want to create terror and fear among students, especially in the education sector and also in the health sector, which are two of the major achievements of the 10 years of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan," said Mashal.
UN: Civilian deaths in Afghan war hit record : Last year was the deadliest on record for Afghan civilians with 3,021 killed, a rise of 8 percent from the year before as insurgents ratcheted up violence with roadside bombs and suicide attacks, the United Nations said Saturday.
Taliban-affiliated militants were responsible for more than three-quarters of the civilian deaths in 2011, the fifth year in a row in which the death toll went up, the U.N. said. The figures were a grim testament to the violence the Taliban and allied Islamist militants can still unleash in Afghanistan, even as NATO begins to map out plans for international troops to draw down and give Afghan security forces the main responsibility for fighting insurgents by the end of 2014. Mullah Omar must be quite pleased!

Mullah Omar was for killing civilians before he was against it
Reclusive Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar has urged insurgent fighters, who he said had successfully infiltrated the security forces, to avoid civilian deaths after a swathe of suicide bombings this week killed 63 people. Islamist suicide bombers on Tuesday targeted markets crowded with Ramadan shoppers and a provincial hospital in Afghanistan, killing scores and wounding 148 in the worst attack since a series of sectarian bombings against Shi'ite Muslims late last year.
The Interior Ministry said the Taliban had not let up on attacks during Ramadan and security forces had stepped up security ahead of the three-day Eid al-Fitr festival. But Mullah Omar, who is thought to be sheltering in Pakistan despite government denials there, boasted that his forces had successfully infiltrated Afghan security forces to mount rogue shootings of foreign troops that have killed 39 soldiers in 30 attacks this year.
Dozens of Afghan civilians die in bloody day: Twenty-three people were killed and 50 others were wounded in the suicide attack in a car park crammed with vehicles supplying the largest NATO base in southern Afghanistan, police said.A suicide bomber on a motorcycle struck first and as a crowd gathered to help the victims a second bomber walked into their midst and set off explosives strapped to his body, Kandahar provincial police chief General Abdul Raziq told AFP.

I just do not get it. If those people know how bad their life is going to be under the Taliban then why do they not fight to defeat them? *Vietnam all over again regardless of what they say. They are now offering the Taliban to join in the Government.
I really do not care what they do. Our soldiers did their job. We should get them out now with heads held high for a job well done. They have performed magnificently. The Taliban are going to take over again regardless and the people know it that is why everyone who can is making preparations to get out now.

Afghanistan's government condemns Taliban spring offensive as anti Islam: About time!
Afghanistan's government condemns Taliban spring offensive as anti Islam: The Afghan government on Monday condemned the recent Taliban announcement of the start of their annual “spring offensive,” calling it cowardly and un-Islamic and pledging the country’s forces would thwart any attacks. On Monday, the Interior Ministry said that “while again declaring war against the Afghan people, their government and constitution, the Taliban insurgents also abuse their religious values in the name of a cause opposed to the basic Islamic principles of peace, education and kindness.”

A long time ago after years of watching Al Qaeda and the Taliban slaughter their own men, women, and children, I realized these are nothing more than all men clubs of disenfranchised thugs. In reality they have nothing to do with Religion other than to use it to keep their destructive clubs in power. I can finally see something that should have been done years ago and that is all Muslims turning on these private clubs of killers, alienating them, and kill them or allow them to self destruct.

Taliban leader Mullah Omar's grip on insurgency weakens
Taliban leader's grip on insurgency weakens : Taliban leader Mullah Omar's grip on the insurgency is loosening as coalition battlefield successes in southern Afghanistan help sow discord among the Taliban top ranks and weaken the organization, a top U.S. commander said.
"What we have seen in the last couple months is … a lot of infighting among some of his senior leadership," Marine Maj. Gen. John Toolan, commander of coalition forces in southwestern Afghanistan, told USA TODAY. "There were some killings within and among the Taliban."
Mullah Omar Wikipedia
The Haqqani's Mullah Omar's most loyal killers are in disarray as Drone strike killed senior Haqqani member, US says“It’s probably the most senior death of any Haqqani network member in Pakistan to date, if it’s true,” said Jeffrey Dressler of the Washington-based Institute for the Study of War. “He’s on everybody’s radar.” Dressler and other experts said Zadran was not an active fighter but was in charge of group’s finances and arms shipments.
We have decimated of late both Al Qaeda and the Taliban on both sides of the Pakistan Afghanistan border. The Taliban have to be in total disarray with most of their top and middle commanders killed and not seeing hide nor hair from their so called leader even in their most dire hour of need. Supposedly since 2004, the US has been conducting a covert program to target and kill al Qaeda and Taliban commanders based in Pakistan's lawless northwest. The program has targeted top Al Qaeda leaders, Al Qaeda's external operations network, and Taliban leaders and fighters that threaten both the Afghan and Pakistani states.
I disagree with that since with President Bush the project was in name only to make it look like he cared while he spent all his time and effort in Iraq. That is why of the 67 some odd top Al Qaeda and Taliban leaders killed since 2004 all but 4 were killed on President Obama's watch. Since 2004, the US has been conducting a covert program to target and kill al Qaeda and Taliban commanders based in Pakistan's lawless northwest. The program has targeted top al Qaeda leaders, al Qaeda's external operations network, and Taliban leaders and fighters that threaten both the Afghan and Pakistani states.
This is really looking good. Since Obama was elected we have been killing many high and mid level leaders and numerous Taliban and Al Qaeda fighters. It is looking good and it is looking doable but? I invite you to read this and think about it all!
Anyway now we have killed 80 more in one encounter at a so called "secret camp" Bad days and bad times for the Taliban, they are being decimated There is a reason for this success as I said!
The Taliban think they are getting away with something and we are just getting lucky but they are being watched closely by JSOC ready to pounce and take them out when given the command. I say give it now and save lives. My guess is the command has been given because the Haqqani's have been going down en-masse. The network is important but I think "they" should take out the Haqqani's first. We may have check, check mate
I wish we would quickly kill the Haqqani's, both Jalaluddin and Sirajuddin and leave the rest to Pakistan and Afghanistan. I believe the are being squeezed from all sides and feeling intense pressure on their lifestyle and that is a big reason why the talks are progressing.
Anyway you look at it we are viewed as temporary and the violent convoluted backstabbing tribal relationships will always be a way of life in the border area especially. We can only be very concerned how this is going to turn out between NATO, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. It won't be translucent or good!
The Haqqani's seem true to Mullah Omar who want us out of Afghanistan and want their independent Afghanistan. Pakistan has proven they do not want a free and independent Afghanistan but want to control it. At this point I want to say our soldiers have done their job let them come home as scheduled if not sooner. Let Mullah Omar the Haqqani's and other Taliban interests fight for Afghanistan it is theirs not ours or Pakistan's. Good luck Hamid Karzai that's all I say!
I want us to get the hell out of Afghanistan like we should. If we are lucky enough to have that happen and I have my doubts, the people have a choice. They will still have their tribes but otherwise they have the choice of Mullah Omar who will kill them if they do not live the way he says or the corrupt drug dealer Hamid Karzai.

A man and a woman who allegedly had an adulterous affair have been stoned and killed in the northern Afghan province of Kunduz. The punishment happened in a crowded bazaar on Sunday in the Taliban-controlled village of Mullah Quli.
It shows that they [the Taliban] want to create a climate of fear. The woman was only 23 and the man 28. They were smart to flee but stupid to return after a Jirga met and declared they could return if compensation was paid. They stoned them both killing the woman and the man lived so they shot him 3 times in the head. This month the Taliban also reportedly flogged and killed a pregnant widow in western Baghdis province. The Taliban warned villagers if anyone does anything un-Islamic, this will be their fate.''
Taliban 'kill adulterous Afghan couple' in marketplace
Those people better wake up and quick! Afghanistan's giant private security industry, which guards everything from western embassies to Nato supply convoys, is set to be scrapped within four months under dramatic new plans from Hamid Karzai.
Afghan citizens better wake up and realize they better help defeat the Taliban at any cost unless they want a return to Sharia Law brutality and public beheading. Remember when the Taliban met out their brutal laws in public in the sports stadium with public floggings, beheading, and amputations of men women and children? Afghan civilians better realize they are in serious trouble if the Taliban get back in control of Afghanistan.
civilian deaths up 31% because of the Taliban From the for what its worth department Afghan Taliban Call for Joint Probe Into Civilian Deaths
They better step up, they are the enemy too, not just Christians and doctors trying to help them. Remember just a few weeks back
Taliban leader Mullah Omar ordered Taliban fighters to kill Afghan civilians, contradicting orders he issued last year. Remember that farce they called a code of conduct to protect civilians. Yes civilians are dying from both sides. As usual they get the shit end of the stick!
In a statement NATO said it intercepted orders that Mullah Omar gave to subordinate commanders at the beginning of June. It says he instructed fighters to kill Afghans who work with NATO or the Afghan government, and to kill women who provide information to coalition forces. I have to ask what's changed really?
There was no immediate reaction to the claim from Taliban leaders but since they have said themselves they would kill anyone they think is a threat to them as they killed those Doctors as spies for the west. NATO says Mullah Omar ordered the Taliban to kill civilians
More than 1,000 Afghan civilians were killed in armed violence and security incidents in the first six months of 2010, a new Afghan study says. Afghanistan Rights Monitor says 1,074 civilians were killed between January and June - a slight increase compared with the same period in 2009. However, the number of people killed in NATO air strikes in the same period has halved, the report says. Changes to rules of engagement helped reduce that figure, the report says. Afghanistan civilian casualties on the rise compliments of Mullah Omar
We managed to lower the number of civilians killed so Mullah Omar has ordered the Taliban to kill as many as possible. I would hope the civilians in turn, turn on them. Their lives are on the line. They have got to stand up! The Taliban was on a public relations drive. The militants fighting on fronts from Afghanistan to Pakistan feared they were losing the propaganda war among their own people so the leadership released a new "code of conduct" for fighters in the field.
This new code of conduct is a death threat to all Afghan civilians by Mullah Omar and the Taliban, those that want to control them. They better read the writing on the wall and do something about outing Mullah Omar and the militant Taliban if it is even possible. The mentality around the world has always been if you do not win the people you can not win the war. The Taliban have proven they do not care about the people. They will kill them and those that try to help them.
I have said frequently that civilians in Pakistan have formed Lashkars (civilian militia) and have taken on the Taliban and Afghan tribes and civilians better do the same thing. We should get out give them food and supplies and monitor the situation with drones. See if the people and the Government will stand up or be kowtowed by the Taliban. They must see the choice before them.

Taliban kills 10 aid workers, part of a medical team providing eye care in a northern province. Afghani's better pay heed!

They were returning from a trip to a remote northern area to provide eye care to rural villagers, their aid organization and local officials said Saturday. The 10 charity workers, who also included two Afghans, a German and a Briton, were found slain in remote forested area of Badakhshan province, according to provincial police and their Kabul-based group, the International Assistance Mission. The Taliban movement claimed responsibility for the deaths, claiming those killed were spies and preachers of Christianity. NATO says Mullah Omar ordered the Taliban to kill civilians: What happened to their code of conduct?

Kabul under attack! This is the only safe city in Afghanistan?

Taliban code of conduct
NATO convoy attacked outside Kabul 7 civilians killed many wounded. It is a good thing the Taliban puts civilian safety first. Remember Mullah Omar's code of conduct! Taliban issues code of conduct that tells fighters to limit suicide attacks and avoid civilian deaths Good thing huh?
Multiple rockets fired in Kabul dead and dying everywhere Good thing those civilians matter!
violence will get worse as promised by head of UN commission Despite the uptick in violence and the stifling heat people by the thousands still risk life and limb to listen to popular Presidential rival Abdullah Abdullah.
Taliban publicly execute woman
Kabul under attack Everything important is being hit, Presidential Palace, Government headquarters, police headquarters, supply lines. Good thing Kabul is the only secure city in Afghanistan. Yeah right! What do you think about those upcoming elections and the security of the people now?

Taliban code of conduct just initiated already horrifically broken, the Citizens better act!

Taliban code of conduct
25 years of recent war including with Russian Afghanistan and IED's were never used. IED attacks are now used routinely under the tutelage of Al Qaeda who has now joined the fray with their so called brother terrorists to repel the infidel us! They are now being used more and more and their use and the increasing attacks will get much worse and deadlier.
This is happening at the same time we are increasing our force levels. July was the deadliest month on record for American and Nato troop deaths. August is on track to be even worse.Anyway this will continue to get a lot worse unless Karzai and Afghanistan stands up. I said it too many times but I believe to the average Afghani we are the enemy. I do not believe they have a clue as to how tenuous their situation is. The citizens themselves must get involved as they have in Pakistan because they know the threat to them and their autonomy. I do not believe they do in Afghanistan.
Despite Mullah Omar's concern for rising innocent civilian deaths by the Taliban and his issue of a Taliban code of conduct Excerpts from the Taliban rule book
In order to minimize civilian deaths so they would not turn on the Taliban as they have in Pakistan they are increasingly hitting a nerve in their killing of innocent civilians. Afghan bomb kills 21 wedding guests. Taliban breaking promise?
Anyway Mullah Omar is increasingly feeling the pressure largely thanks to Pakistan as they are closing in on him. Mullah Omar still has a $10 Billion Bounty on his head but the US is ready to talk with the So called terrorist leader along with the other 3 leaders. Only demand: Lay down your arms and get involved with the Political process in Afghanistan. They may do that but they absolutely refuse to gave a Democracy.
Why are Taliban issuing code of conduct?
U.S. dismisses new Taliban 'code of conduct'
Mullah Omar's concern about alienating the Civilians by killing them will not be prevented as killing American's is the only concern and all "collateral dameg" is acceptable as I am sorry to say seems to be the case with us. Nothing will change with the Taliban until they get us out. Omar's code of conduct is merely a A terror manifesto in disguise
Pakistan's civilians have taken the matter of eliminating Al Qaeda and the Taliban into their own hands and I am very proud of them. Afghan civilian's must do the same thing if they really want peace as I do not see the US or the so called terrorists quitting. What is it going to take to get the civilians to realize their survival is in their hands? What will be the straw that breaks the camels back?
Do you realize we have been at this in Afghanistan for going on 8 years now? That is twice as long as US involvement in WW2. Like it or not this is still just beginning unless Karzai grows a spine and takes this seriously, the citizens get involved for their own good, their rights, their freedom if they really want it and peace. Either that or we should just leave and leave them to their own demise. They have not shown me any desire to help themselves. We can then monitor and decide what to do from here. Hell that seems to be our policy around the world why not here?
