Khomeini's Ghost - The Iranian Revolution and the Rise of Militant Islam Makes sense of everything including Ayatollah Sistani

You know I have said many times that having legitimacy is not Ayatollah Khamenei's concern! Ayatollah Khomeini betrayed the 1979 revolution right off the bat and Khamenei is following him. That is why the most popular Ayatollah in Iran Ayatollah Sistani who has lived in Iraq since he was a teenager but visited Iran every year left Iran for Iraq and has never returned.

Ayatollah Sistani is gaining more converts every day. Ayatollah Montazeri was a leader of the Revolution too and has disagreed with Khamenei's betrayal of the Revolution. Instead of leaving like Ayatollah Sistani he chose to stay in Iran and has frequently butted heads with Khamenei. Ayatollah Sistani the most powerful Ayatollah in Iran has stayed out of Iran since the 1979 Revolution. He said the Revolution was betrayed and it was. Ayatollah Sistani Intrigue

Reading the book by Con Coughlin titled Khomeini's Ghost - The Iranian Revolution and the Rise of Militant Islam while as usual not totally correct it certainly makes you think and put everything in its proper frightening perspective. Please look at the book review and decide for yourself. From Khomeini's response on his return to Iran after 15 years of exile to today's events it all makes sense and the world better be concerned as there is more than idle threats and braggadocio coming from Ahmadinejad. Khomeini's Ghost - The Iranian Revolution and the ...

When asked by a journalist how he felt upon returning to Iran after 15 years in exile. Khomeini’s curt, one-word reply “nothing” Whoa! From day one of his return to Iran Khomeini expressed no love for Iran only a love of the atom bomb. The drive even then was to possess a nuclear weapon though that desire is still denied until Iran can get their hands on one.

I have tried to give Iran the benefit of the doubt when they say their nuclear desires are peaceful knowing they could use nuclear power as an energy source for their growing population. I have always asserted that perceived need could be cover for the real goal of developing a nuclear weapon. I now believe it is!

I do not trust Iran an Iota any more! They are playing war games taunting Israel. Check out the link, despite supposed recent cooperation I am more concerned than ever about what Iran is really up to and not just with their nuclear ambitions. Reuters South AfricaIran begins war games to protect nuclear sites

IRG Ahmadinejad, the stolen election, the killing and imprisonment of the children of the Revolution, the violent crushing of all oppositio0n, the clandestine nuclear program, It is all making sense, beware! Natanz, Qom, Isfahan, Bushehr, Natanz, how many more nuclear facilities? How will this end?

Mounting Outrage in Iran!

Iran remains 'in crisis' after disputed election - 17 July 09

Friday prayers: Differing views

Mounting Outrage in Iran!

Iran daily slams Rafsanjani querying poll resultThe Kayhan daily, whose editor is appointed by Khamenei, accused Rafsanjani of breaking the law by disputing the stolen election and supporting the disenfranchised protestors. Gee what a surprise the editor is appointed by Khamenei, so the plot thickens.

Ex President Mehdi Karroubi was reportedly attacked and beat Friday by Revolutionary so called security forces. Security forces once again were using motorcycles tear gas and batons to disperse crowds out to listen to Rafsanjani. Rafsanjani has impeccable revolutionary credentials. he studied theology in the Shiite clerical nerve center of Qom, was frequently arrested and also became an early follower of Khomeini. However Rafsanjani also caused a stir in 2007 by saying in his memoirs that Khomeini had wanted to drop the iconic Islamic republic mantra of "Death to America." No more shouts of Death to America! What a surprise and no wonder Khamenei and Ahmadinejad are against him and want him silenced. Rafsanjani: Iran insider and Ahmadinejad nemesis

Rafsanjani correctly said doubt has spread like leprosy! He is Iran's Barack Obama in that he is keeping hope alive! I still want him, Moussavi, and the most popular Ayatollah in Iran Ayatollah Sistani to form an alliance and do not understand why they have not done so yet as that would blow this wide open. Unless avoiding that and protecting Iranians is their goal. Ayatollah Sistani Intrigue

Iranian women's rights activist Shadi Sadr was brutally beaten and arrested on her way to prayer in a continuing effort to quiet any organized dissention. Women's Rights Activist and Lawyer Violently Arrested in Iran ... The Basiji did their damnedest to control Rafsanjani's audience by giving the first 30 rows to the wives of the Revolutionary Guard, barring those they deemed questionable, and searching and confiscating anything green. Despite that women snuck in green ribbons pulling them out later and tying them around their wrists. Plus there was not the encouraged traditional shouts of Death to America instead there was more shouts of the forbidden "God is Great"

As you may know,Rafsanjani heads two of the regime's most powerful bodies, the Expediency Council, which settles disputes over laws between the parliament and the Guardian Council, and the Assembly of Experts – which has the power to appoint, supervise and in theory dismiss the Supreme Leader. There is a growing movement to replace Khamenei I say do it and replace him with Rafsanjani Rafsanjani: Iran in crisis

* Both councils headed by the true faithful revolutionary Rafsanjani of course are in contention with the Guardian Council that immediately came out in favor of Ahmadinejad and has steadfastly refused to listen to the will of the people. This all goes totally counter to the education of ayatollah Rouhollah Mousavi Khomenei Like Khamenei, Khomenei too betrayed the Revolution. He did not keep his pre revolution promises to the people of Iran. He marginalized and crushed opposition opposed to clerical rule.. It gets worse! Sound familiar?

* In closing: Prophet Muhammud said a Government not backed by the people is not legal and at one time Khomenei also believed it but as you can see, no longer. Rafsanjani wants that principle to once again hold sway as it should. Why has Rafsanjani not disavowed Khamenei and backed the installment of the most popular Ayatollah in Iran Ayatollah Sistani? The time has come!

Qum clerical leaders side with movement dismissed as agents of the west so Khamenei can clamp down on them too!

Iran's civil war gets closer ever day as mullahs openly flaunt him and Khamenei increasingly blames the west for instigating them so he can brutalize them too!

With the rapidly changing events here in the US, With North Korea, China's crackdown, Afghanistan, Iraq, Obama in Russia, I have to digress and once again discuss Iran as it affects the entire world and though unity is asked for the ugly set up to civil war gets closer every day!

I was pretty pleased a few weeks back when Grand Ayatollah Montazeri said no one in their right mind could believe Ahmadinejad won the election particularly with the supposed landslide he was "given" Montazeri decried the Brutality and rightly said a Government not respecting the people's vote has no Religious or Political legitimacy whatsoever. Those on the side of the reform movement must know by now that does not matter to Khamenei. Iran's senior ayatollah slams election, confirming split | McClatchy

Having legitimacy is not Khamenei's concern! He betrayed the 1979 revolution right off the bat. That is why the most popular Ayatollah in Iran left Iran for Iraq and has never returned, Ayatollah Sistani is gaining more converts every day. Ayatollah Montazeri was a leader of the Revolution too and has disagreed with Khamenei's betrayal of the Revolution. Instead of leaving like Ayatollah Sistani he chose to stay in Iran and has frequently butted heads with Khamenei.

Now we can include the Religious leaders of Qum in continuing to demand the release of the "children of the Revolution" but that will never happen. Releasing them and the thousands taken prisoner would instantly get this civil war going instead of having it on slow burn. A serious rift has opened because of Khamenei's brutality and disdain for the will of the people so he can continue his farce of a Religious theocratic Democracy.

The Provocateur: A Split in the Mullahs

This is not going to be good! This will only continue to come to a head until it there is either a very violent crackdown or civil war occurs. It is in the hands of the Ayatollah's and the people not the Government.By definition this is going to be much worse than the 1979 revolution that brought the current brutal regime in if they are to succeed in removing it. Iran Opposition Calls for End to Crackdown

The clerical and public split from Khamenei's once absolute word continues to grow every day. The important group of Religious leaders and teachers of Qum have come out squarely on the side of the people and Moussavi. A winning combination is taking shape. One that can take back the true meaning of Iran. This growing chorus of leaders calling the new Administration illegitimate represents the most significant historic crack, crack?, chasm since the 1979 Revolution. The clerical establishment from the Holy city of Qum have come squarely down on the side of the reform movement. The movement to recapture the true meaning of the 1979 Revolution continues to grow until? Clerical Leaders Defy Ayatollah on Iran Election - NYTimes.com

* In closing I have to reiterate Moussavi,Karroubi, Khatami. Rafsanjani, not the Religious leaders of Qum are all stating exactly why Ayatollah Sistani the most powerful Ayatollah in Iran has stayed out of Iran since the 1979 Revolution. He said the Revolution was betrayed and it was. I still look for an active alliance of Sistani, Rafsanjani, and Moussavi as this civil war progresses. That I believe is just what the world needs. Moussavi and Mehdi Karroubi call Ahmadinejad illegitimate vow to continue fight! US downplays his role in future talks!

Ahmadinejad heckled outside Mosque by Moussavi supporters

Jon Bon Jovi Stand by me in Farsi

Joan Baez we shall over come in Farsi

Before I get into that I just heard that a Canadian Iranian reporter Maziar Bahari who was missing for 9 days "supposedly" just admitted that there is a possibility that reporters instigated some of the riots but credited the Basij for breaking it up. First, this bothers me because I know it is a lie! Last week I was listening to CNN reporter who was called in and told someone wanted to talk to his. A large Burly man told him in the IRG he supposed told him they were told he was writing untrue information and had to leave.

The guy told him he could stay and all would be forgotten if he would write favorable stories about the horror he was seeing. Of course he refused and had to leave immediately. This is preposterous and another lie another set up. We don't know who is doing what there. We do not know what anyone is saying. Remember Saberi? Coming from Iran state TV you know it is a lie. This so called confession was undoubtedly coerced if it is even true. We can not verify it!

The arm twisting and attempts to keep the truth from getting out will never stop as long as Khamenei and Ahmadinejad are in power. The following story illustrates that. I can't say it enough that I am so impressed with what I have been seeing from the Iranian people since the election. I am including the songs in Farsi by Bon Jovi and Joan Baez to show solidarity with the Iranian people!

The other day there was a Government sanctioned rally and Moussavi supporters took the opportunity to show up and display support for Moussavi. Now Moussavi has found the opportunity to speak though Khamenei closed down his newspaper and web site and jailed 25 of his employees.

Moussavi despite being kept under raps came out with his wife Zahra Rahnavard and declared that he considered the new Government to be illegitimate. He said it in a way to show the principles of the 1979 Revolution were betrayed when he called for the release of the children of the Revolution. Mehdi Karroubi, a reformist cleric also declared the Government illegitimate and a betrayal. Karroubi too called for the release of the children of the Revolution. He also vowed to continue his fight. Shortly thereafter the daily newspaper sympathetic to him was shut down.

The Doctor who witnessed a Basiji shoot Neda Soltan from a motorcycle made that public and treated her fled to London before the order was given to arrest him. More than 1000 have simply disappeared because of their opposition to the stolen election. ex-President Mohammad Khatami still continues to be one of the fiercest critics of this coup! Mousavi says new Ahmadinejad government 'illegitimate'
In pursuing Iran talks, US downplays Ahmadinejad role

* In closing i have to say Moussavi and Karroubi are stating exactly why Atatollah Sistani the most powerful Ayatollah in Iran has stayed out of Iran since the 1979 Revolution. He said the Revolution was betrayed and it was. I still look for an active alliance of Sistani, Rafsanjani, and Moussavi as this civil war progresses. That I believe is just what the world needs.
