The latest in the Middle East and the still just beginning Middle East Breakdown
Bush's intention in attacking Iraq was to get our military back in the Middle East to help Israel establish a safety zone, create a new middle east (dis)order as God told him to, and to establish a permanent middle east presence. I was very concerned that this entire mess in the middle east would take on a life of its own and our military would be left in the middle of it. Well it has happened. Are we smart enough to stay out of it? Or will we be dragged even deeper into it?
The middle east is exploding as we long said it would and anti Israeli anti US forces are trying to use it to their advantage. Israel is nervous as they should be with all their hedging at a real 2 state solution: 34 members of the Muslim Brotherhood amongst the thousands broken out of prison Arab Israelis back Egyptian protestors
Middle East Egypt protesters in Cairo standoff So far over 100 dead and anger is increasingly being turned on the US for supporting Mubarak!
Egypt death toll mounts; army to boost deployment
Egypt's uprising unites society in rage
Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas seek to increase role in Egypt
Yemeni protests turn violent
Are Yemen's protests going to bring another revolution? I'd say there is more of a chance there with Al Qaeda instigating for it than anywhere else!
African Union in new move to end Ivory Coast crisis
Across the Arab world, people living under the thumb of repressive leaders are rising up against the rulers who once seemed omnipotent. It is no coincidence these were all American allies! They are not quite sure what they want. But from North Africa to the Arabian Peninsula, they know they want change. And their wrath and their courage are creating a new form of Arab unity. Fearless protesters challenge regimes around Middle East

This all boils down in all interests to something I learned as a kid and that is "be careful what you ask for" You know what you have but you do not know what you're going to get"

Egypt is said to be in crisis, It isn't Egypt it is the Middle East: The total Middle east breakdown is in progress
In Egypt firefights erupt and it is described as an Alamo: This is just the beginning of what I have described from day one as our Custer's last stand
Does anybody remember that we have almost a quarter million troops over there? Around 150,000 in Afghanistan for now, 50,000 so called non combat troops in the middle of Iraq's civil war, and we made great pomp and circumstance out of pulling the last of Iraq's combat troops into Kuwait!
You never hear it mentioned but those troops are now sitting in the middle of all this and we were put there on purpose by Bush. We have to be smart enough to get out of there or my warnings of a Custer's last stand in the middle east will prove prophetic. Look at this! Egypt: Tourists Offered Early Flights Home Firefights erupting and it is described as an Alamo! So far I hear there are more than 100 dead.

Dictatorship to democracy? Tunisia's risky venture
Iran is giddy and taking credit for all this as Iranian leaders hope for Islamic republic in Egypt. The Clerics are using this for their cause saying protests against Mubarak government were inspired by 1979 revolution in Iran. Iranian leaders expressed satisfaction with the anti-government protests in Egypt, with one leader saying he believes the protesters were inspired by the revolution in his country in 1979.
“Today, as a result of the gifts of the Islamic revolution in Iran, freedom-loving Islamic peoples such as the peoples of Tunisia, Egypt and nearby Arab countries are standing up to their oppressive governments,” the New York Times quoted Ayatollah Mohammad-Taghi Mesbah-Yazdi as saying. He congratulated the Egyptian people, saying their actions were "based on the principles" of the Islamic revolution. Iranian leaders hope for Islamic republic in Egypt
The leader of Jordan's powerful Muslim Brotherhood has warned that unrest in Egypt will spread across the Mideast and Arabs will topple their "tyrant" leaders allied with the U.S.

Mid-East: Will there be a domino effect? Yes all the way to the US: Anarchy the worlds future
Mid-East: Will there be a domino effect? Absolutely!
Security and the collapsing state

Five years ago I began having numerous discussions on many important issues facing our country and all were pointed towards this subject. With that in mind I had a real confusion of thoughts as to how to talk about this knowing what is happening in America with our societal degradation, increased homelessness, increased job loss, record cop killings, and concern of societal unrest over an increasingly dire situation for many.
My first thought as to our troops training for inner city fighting was not for Iraq and Afghanistan as the below report states but right here in the good old USA. The training is in a mock city the size of San Diego that includes a circular town center, a hospital district and a full-scale soccer stadium where troops can land helicopters. Base officials have also applied what they call an immersive training technique to bring the city to life:
About 1,000 role players interact with training Marines, even shifting allegiances or their level of support for the U.S. to reflect possible real-world scenarios. Many buildings are furnished. One block of hotels had curtains in the windows, signs, and vintage computers on the desks. This is supposed to represent a typical town in Iraq and Afghanistan and I could be wrong but computers? curtains? blocks of hotels? Sounds like America to me. US Troops get urban combat training in massive mock city
We have had many discussions as to the secret meetings on Martial law if it became a necessity to declare martial law in the event of massive civil unrest over the economy and overall living conditions and unhappiness with the Government. We have had many discussions about the FEMA concentration camps that are supposedly in case we are over run by illegal immigrants. At one time the Democrats figured they would be in them then the tea partiers thought they were for them.
Watching the unrest in the world today in the Middle East and Africa over corrupt Government, lack of jobs and food and knowing that the poorer countries which happen to be predominantly Muslim will be the first to fall apart and rebel in the streets as they are and eventually this degradation and anarchy will take over America and the rest of the so called civilized world too I have thoughts of Posse Comitatus
The statute generally prohibits federal military personnel and units of the National Guard under federal authority from acting in a law enforcement capacity within the United States, except where expressly authorized by the Constitution or Congress. In late 2006, Congress revised the Posse Comitatus Act and the Insurrection Act to make it far easier for a president to declare martial law.
Knowing all this I would like your input on what you think about US troops training for inner city training now especially when we are supposed to be getting out of Iraq and Afghanistan! I remember in 2005 discussing US troops training in and being used in our cities but seeing what is happening around the world with growing break downs and growing civil unrest what do you think about it now knowing we are not?

Egypt's ElBaradei under house arrest in Mosque, Mubarak on last legs?
President Mubarak has finally spoken and asked the entire Government to step down saying he was for the poor people. That said it was after midnight and people were taking to the street asking for Mubarak to step down and were going after the information Ministry. Can the old bulwark in the middle east stand as is?
Egyptian government 'on last legs' says ElBaradei
ElBaradei: The man to lead a 'free' Egypt?
When thousands of angry protesters take to the streets of Egypt today, one man many see as the country's next potential leader will be among them.
ElBaradai is the best man for the job even if he says he would take control long enough to get the country back on track. It certainly beats the Islamist alternative. The 68-year-old former head of the United Nations nuclear agency and possible presidential candidate, who has urged President Hosni Mubarak to leave office, told reporters at the airport that he will take part in an anti-government protest planned for today in Cairo.
ElBaradai was also a nobel peace prize winner and he set up the National Association for Change in 2010 to campaign for democracy and against corruption. That is certainly a unique concept in these corruptive so called Democracies. The alternative to me is the Islamist group Muslim Brotherhood who will also be in the protest today and would like to turn Egypt against the west. Egypt's ElBaradei Returns to Cairo Following Protests, Clashes
CAIRO - Kuwaiti foreign minister says the Arab world is witnessing an "unprecedented political mobilization," in reference to the expected secession of south Sudan and the uprising in Tunisia that led to removal of a longtime authoritarian ruler. Kuwait FM: Arab world witnessing 'unprecedented political mobilization'
African nations, the Middle East, they are all in trouble as in environments like this the down trodden and poor nations are the first to go down. It is no coincidence that they happen to be Muslim and the Islamists will capitalize off this but it will not lead to more jobs food and a better life. It will lead to a stricter harsher life period!
The Islamists will take advantage and create dissention everywhere they can. This may have started on 9/11 2001 but it is really still just beginning to take shape. Demonstrations have erupted in the past month in several Arab countries including Algeria, Morocco and Yemen, which all face high unemployment rates and rising living costs, factors which fueled the uprising. Jordan is also worried! At least with ElBaradai ther4e is hope for Egypt.

Iran Saudi Arabian proxy war in Iraq gaining steam!
Muqtada's warriors are coming! It was the third straight day of attacks around the country, most targeting places where Iraq's minority Sunnis, once a bedrock of the country's insurgency, have decided to participate in government. On Tuesday, a bomber killed 60 people seeking jobs with the police in Tikrit, the hometown of the late leader Saddam Hussein. The day before, the Sunni governor of western Anbar province survived a bomb attack on his convoy.String of bomb attacks continues in Iraq
At least 15 killed in third straight day of suicide attacks in Iraq
Meanwhile The Sunni want us to stay in order to protect them from Shiite violence they feel is backed by Iran. Incidentally you can bet if not now Saudi Arabia will be helping the Sunni. Well what a surprise huh? 45 Shiite pilgrims killed in twin suicide bombings in Iraq's Karbala
This Middle East breakdown guaranteed by Bush after attacking Iraq to free Iran up to instigate throughout the Middle East is immanent. I will just reiterate 2 discussions we have had numerous times as they are coming to fruition:
We know of the Iranian influence for the Shiite but we don't hear much about Saudi Arabia helping the Sunni. continued violence against the Sunni will draw them out in the open and Bush's civil war will get going full swing.
Saudi-Iranian Neo Cold War:
At the same time as it denies cooperating with preparations for a potential Israeli attack on Iran, Saudi Arabia prepares for strike of its own. Saudi Arabia’s air force has signed a deal to upgrade its fleet of 150 strike aircraft and procure advanced weaponry to respond to an Iranian military threat while simultaneously denying reports that the country is coordinating with Israel over a possible strike against Iran’s nuclear sites.
Increasingly fearful of Iran Saudi's upgrading fighter jets to counter Iran's threat
“The Saudis are very worried about the growing power of Iran,”I use to be concerned that the old confrontation would erupt in war between Iran and at the least US armed Saudi Arabia?
You can not blame them but I had no idea the dissention goes all the way back to the naming of the Gulf. Saudi’s know it as the Gulf of Arabia and I can remember that but Iran calls it the Persian Gulf as the rest of us seem to now.
Both Iran and Saudi Arabia have been using Lebanon as their battlefront up to now able to avoid direct confrontation. Iran has pumped millions of dollars in supplies and arms much to the consternation of her suffering people while Saudi Arabia has been supporting the Palestinian Authority. As you know, Iran has many problems at home plus the UN who is trying to keep them from developing nuclear weapons. Now Iran is going to sanction attempting to break Israel's blockade of Gaza to take the heat off them and get direct confrontation with Israel going.
While the world had been engrossed following events in Iran since the election was stolen to keep fascist Ahmadinejad and he fascist agenda in control Iran has been fueling a rebel war in Yemen and what a surprise it has extended into Saudi Arabia. A propaganda war is also being waged. Egypt and Saudi Arabia have pulled the plug on Iran’s Arabic speaking TV. It makes me wonder why they did not do that during the height of the protests when Iran’s Government sanctioned channel was televising pure lies and propaganda? I find it hard to believe that Iran is that vulnerable in that area!
So far there has been no direct confrontation. However I absolutely saw what I have been warning about since Bush diverted from Afghanistan to attack Iraq and get back in the middle east to create a new middle east (dis)order! I do not give a damn what anyone says. Bush Cheney and their Democratization program in an already historically unstable middle east set all of this and more in motion!
The hell on earth Bush created for Iraqi’s will engulf the entire Middle East before it encompasses the entire world if we can not contain it. Under Bush we broke a long standing tradition of not adding fuel to the Middle East fire by supplying weapons. We are now, including advanced weaponry and missile defense systems. The Middle East breakdown Bush started armed and funded will continue under Obama. This up to now proxy war in the middle east is under way and Saudi Arabia is hoping Israel keeps Iran busy until the US is forced to come to their rescue as you know they will. Wait, watch, and listen, this is not good for the world and our future!

Egypt riots, Self immolation in Saudi Arabia still barely the beginning: Food wars coming to a country near you!
People vs Police State: Revolution rage to spread after Tunisia? Yes!
The violent economic and food riots in Tunisia and Algeria show just how quickly things can change. Just a few months ago, these two northern Africa nations were considered to be very stable, very peaceful and without any major problems. Now protesters are openly squaring off with police in the streets. Many of the protesters are resorting to throwing "fire bombs" or are shooting fireworks at the authorities, and the police are responding with a tremendous amount of violence themselves.
Self immolation in Saudi Arabia still barely the beginning
Egypt protests: Eyewitness accounts
In Algeria, several protesters have been killed by police and several others have actually set themselves on fire to protest the economic conditions. In Tunisia, more than 100 people have been killed and the president of that country actually had to flee for his life. As we discussed numerous times in this economic disaster it is the poor and the poor nations that will feel it and go down first. That is Africa, the middle east, and I am sorry to say yes the Muslims and they are vulnerable to the Islamists and their empty promises.
I started discussing the growing food wars and the water wars a couple years back. Wait until they go through the poorer countries and hit us! Food Riots 2011
Growing water wars and food wars 4/12/08
world wide water wars 1/24/08
Tunisian events likely to spark wider Arab reforms, but not revolutions Yes, Revolutions and it's long been a given. Egypt alone has had food riots for years.

Al-Jazeera has declared war on Palestinians
Al-Jazeera has declared war on Palestinians
Leaked documents released by al-Jazeera TV suggest Palestinian negotiators agreed to Israel keeping large parts of illegally occupied East Jerusalem. Whose side is Erakat on anyway? Erakat: This is part of campaign targeting the Palestinian Authority, Abbas refused to make far-reaching concessions on Jerusalem; Abbas: We have nothing to hide. What the hell do they call giving away Jerusalem? Nothing will make Israel happy! I am sick of this so called negotiation. No I am not Palestinian I just believe in honesty and fair play and we are seeing nothing but lies and deceit from the so called "chosen ones"
Erakat calls the documents a distortion Again I say Palestine has already given enough, whose side is he on?
The Palestinian's have given away enough. Israel will only be happy with Palestine as a subservient slave State and that will never go over with Iran and Syria. Netanyahu does not want peace until he gets everything he wants which includes all of Jerusalem. We have to take care of our own and let them hang themselves. Ahmadinejad was right in one thing when he said years ago that is Europe and the US felt so bad for what happened to the Jews in ww2 they should have given them part of their country. We would have no problem then. We are as guilty as them for not enforcing UN resolution 181. Resolution 181 that was established in 1947.
Make them go back to it and call it a frigging day!
I have been sick of Israel's lying about wanting a compromise, a two state solution. Ehud Barak had a viable solution Benjamin Netanyahu shot down. Netanyahu's lies to provoke and prolong this impasse holds the day. I am sick of this crap, I am sorry!
Netanyahu disavows Barak plan on sharing Jerusalem BS, it is integral and proof Netanyahu does not want peace but all of Jerusalem!
Lack of a peace solution to the Israeli crisis we created keeps being blamed on the Palestinians and I for one am quite sick of it! Israel could lease Palestinian lands in exchange for Palestinian statehood: report I am thinking this can be done after all my apprehension. With Palestine rebuffing Iran, Iran would be the one left out in the cold however Israel does not want this to succeed. Leave Israel to her own demise, I am sick of the lies!
They say that Palestinian refusal to recognize Israel as a Jewish state shows they are not serious about two-state solution. What about Israel's refusal to go back to 1967 borders, to stop building settlements, or to let Palestine have a homeland free of Jews if they want? What about UN resolution 181 established in 1947?
PLO wants map from US with future Israeli border Can you blame them?
Vice Prime Minister and Strategic Affairs Minister Moshe Ya'alon said that he saw "no chance of reaching a peace deal with the Palestinians in the near future". There is no way in hell ever because neither side really wants it. They want the other subversive, end of discussion.
"In the eyes of Palestinians, the occupation began in '48 and not in '67," Ya'alon told Army Radio. "Not only Hamas thinks this – Abu Mazen [Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas does too." I think that too! I refuse to believe we took it upon ourselves to displace the Palestinians and give their land to the Jews in 1948 because we felt bad for them.
I reiterate: Palestinians for their part are doing their share for peace but it is futile: They are willing to let Israel control the wailing wall and just want East Jerusalem as their capital but there is no way in hell Israel is going to give that up as they swear it belongs to them. It does not belong to them. They do not want peace unless they get everything they want and they will not. This will only end in war and we will be dragged in. That is why Bush ignored Afghanistan to get into the Middle East. Right from the get go helping Israel against Iran was the goal.
Again I reiterate there will never be peace in the Middle East, period! Israel wants it her way and Iran/Syria want Israel obliterated, period, seems like peace is in Palestinian hands and depends on how much they are willing to bend because Israel will not. * The ball is in Israel's court and I do not like what they are doing with it as they want to hold the ball till they get their way. Well the heck with them, we have given enough force their hand!

Israel and the US willing to create a nuclear disaster to prevent a nuclear Iran
The New York Times reported on Sunday that the Stuxnet worm shut down a fifth of Iran's nuclear centrifuges in November. The newspaper said testing of the worm has been taking place for the past two years at a heavily guarded secret nuclear plant at Dimona in the Negev Desert. The US and Israel have been working on it for two years and of course there has been no official response from Israel to the story. The Worm in Iran's Nuke Program: Made in Israel?
Israel, US behind Stuxnet Virus affecting Iran's nuclear program You can bet on it!
Stuxnet virus attack: Russia warns of 'Iranian Chernobyl' We are willing to create a nuclear disaster in the middle east to prevent Iran from possessing a nuclear weapon and to prevent a nuclear war or so they think!
Iran dismisses reports on Stuxnet effect on nuclear facilities
Iran's nuclear program and a new era of cyber war
We gave Iran their start in the fifties they are not going to stop and we will not know where they are till they possess a nuke.
We gave Iran their start in the fifties and once Khomenei returned from exile their efforts to control the middle east and develop nuclear power and weapons began in earnest. As you know, when asked by a journalist how he felt upon returning to Iran in 1979 after 15 years in exile. Khomeini’s curt, one-word reply was “nothing” Whoa! From day one of his return to Iran Khomeini expressed no love for Iran only a love of the atom bomb. The drive even then was to possess a nuclear weapon though that desire is still denied until Iran can get their hands on one.
I have tried to give Iran the benefit of the doubt when they say their nuclear desires are peaceful knowing they could use nuclear power as an energy source for their growing population. I have always asserted that perceived need could be cover for the real goal of developing a nuclear weapon.
The nuclear program of Iran was launched in the 1950s with the help of the United States as part of the Atoms for Peace program. The support, encouragement and participation of the United States and Western European governments in Iran's nuclear program continued until the 1979 Islamic revolution that toppled the Shah of Iran. We are so concerned about Pakistan and Iran today in regard to nuclear abilities and nuclear weapons and security. I was blown away to find out that we built the first nuclear Reactors in both Iran and Pakistan. Nuclear program of Iran - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia atoms for peace
I would have to assume this was after we overthrew the democratically elected President of Iran Mohammad Mosaddeq to install our ruthless puppet the Shah of Iran. We built and supplied Iran's first reactor because we thought we were in control. What the hell is wrong with us? That makes us personally responsible for the 1979 Revolution in Iran, the capture of our hostages, the disaster in the desert after a failed attempt to rescue them, the rise of the Revolutionary Guard, the protesters dilemma, the nuclear issue in Iran today, everything!
You know from numerous discussions here that Iran is involved in every Middle Eastern country not just Yemen, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia where they have corrupted elections for Shiite interests in Iraq, backing rebels in Yemen, and instigating attacks on Saudi oil fields. Bush freed Iran to instigate far and wide and are even training Taliban on their border. Any new actions will only serve to worsen their instigation and cause them to cause chaos everywhere they can and further Bush's total Middle East breakdown Period.
You know, I have long said that Iran’s civilian nuclear program is a cover for their nuclear weapons program. They have been working at this for over 60 years nobody can seriously think anything can stop them without direct confrontation after they have gone this far. That would mean war whether it's Russia, the US or China. All we can hope for is that it is kept limited and not allowed to develop into WW3.

Attacks down almost 20 percent in Pakistan and Taliban Fighters Appear Quieted in Afghanistan
Both Pakistan and Afghanistan are benefitting from Pakistan's military operations, better surveillance by law enforcement agencies and the death of key militants in U.S. drone strikes, a think tank said Sunday. Pakistan's anti-terror efforts are a key focus of the Obama administration, which wants the country to do more to target Taliban militants who regularly launch attacks against U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
U.S. officials have also expressed frustration with Pakistan's unwillingness to launch an offensive in North Waziristan, part of the country's lawless tribal region that hosts a large number of militants who wage attacks in Afghanistan. The Pakistani army says its troops are stretched too thin by other operations in the tribal region. But many analysts believe the military is reluctant to cross militants with whom it has historical ties and could be useful allies in Afghanistan after foreign troops withdraw.Attacks down almost 20 percent in Pakistan
Pakistan's unwillingness to go into North Waziristan home of the Haqqani's is in my mind what is keeping the attacks down for now but the U.S. has responded by more than doubling the number of drone strikes in the tribal region. There were close to 120 such strikes in 2010, most of which occurred in North Waziristan. Prime target, the Haqqani's
For now NATO appears to be smoking the Haqqani's and have them on the run. I recommend reading this link! The deadliest group of Taliban fighters in Afghanistan "the Haqqani's" has not conducted a complex large-scale attack in the capital city of Kabul for seven months, its momentum stymied as elite American-led commandos have escalated raids against the militants’ bomb makers and logisticians. In the past three months alone, commandos have carried out 1,784 missions across Afghanistan, killing or capturing 880 insurgent leaders. Taliban Fighters Appear Quieted in Afghanistan
New and increased drone attacks come in Khyber, an area abutting Afghanistan’s Nangahar province, that’s been notably drone-free. It has become an area for militants fleeing military action in South Waziristan. They also bring the drone-strike tally for this year up to 113, more than twice last year’s 53 strikes. But those figures don’t begin to tell the whole story.
According to a tally kept by the Long War Journal, 58 of those strikes have come since September: There has been a drone attack every 1.8 days since Labor Day. “unprecedented since the U.S. began the air campaign in Pakistan in 2004.” (By contrast, in 2008, there were just 34 strikes.) Both Roggio and the New America Foundation have found that the overwhelming majority of this year’s strikes have clustered in North Waziristan: at least 99. About one-third of those operations were directed against the Haqqani network, a senior NATO official said.
That torrid pace of attacks should make it beyond debate that the drones are the long pole in the U.S.’s counter terrorism tent, even if the drone program is technically a secret. So called extremists have their equalizer "the IED" ours is the drone. The Pakistanis haven’t sent their Army into North Waziristan so it is up to our drones like it or not. While most Pakistanis remain ignorant of the strikes, those in the tribal areas live literally in their shadow, and register enormous discontent, approving of retaliatory attacks on U.S. forces.
There’s no official or universally accepted figure of how many civilians have died as a result of the strikes, but New America pegs it at around 25 percent of all fatalities. Long War Journal’s registry is more generous, claiming that 1,671 militants and 108 civilians have died in the strikes since 2006.
A United Nations report urged Obama to rein in the drones, restricting them to attacks on the senior most militants. He did the opposite. Most are against the drones but I am not as long as civilian harm is minimized or preferably negated. The new area we have been in is supposed to be used by militants only. I have to believe we are starting to hit the top of Al Qaeda and the Taliban where some in the ISI have strong bonds.
Anyway don’t expect Obama to heed that warning in 2011 either.Knowing our many discussions of late as to the ties between the Taliban, the Haqqani's, and elements in the ISI I am very concerned to find out they are in fact keeping elements who want to kill the Haqqani's from doing so and being so open about it so I thought we better discuss the ISI and the Haqqani's once again. These developments are not good! This really bothers me. I am not going to elaborate on the vile nature of Pakistan actively working against anti Taliban factions. That will be denied but it is fact!
I understand Mullah Omar is under control by elements of Pakistan's ISI and not allowed to roam too far. High level Taliban commanders are also being flown by NATO to Kabul in at least one instance and driven from Pakistan by NATO escort to Kabul to have these secret meetings with Hamid Karzai. They are so secret that mid level commanders deny these meetings are happening and vow to fight on period!
As you know, the US is increasingly taking matters into its own hands inside Pakistan. The Haqqani's network and their increasingly foreign fighters have become the main focus after 9 years of fighting. The Haqqani's Network's North Waziristan leadership -- usually called the Miram Shah Shura consists of a number of Haqqani's family members and closely associated long-serving commanders.
At the top of the network is Sirajuddin Haqqani's, who oversees the group's political and military activities and is the main liaison to the Mullah Muhammad Omar led Quetta Shura Taliban, the Taliban's leadership body (named for the capital of Pakistan's Baluchistan province). He is also one of the network's liaisons to Pakistani Taliban figures and al-Qaeda.
He travels or should I say "did" regularly into Afghanistan to coordinate with field commanders and occasionally to Peshawar and South Waziristan to connect with militants there. Remember Bowe Bergdhal? There are many field commanders in Afghanistan, but turnover is high because many get killed or captured. The most prominent is Mullah Sangin, who is believed to be holding Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl a captured U.S. soldier and Zakim Shah the movement's shadow governor of Khost province.
Jalaluddin Haqqani legendary leader who fought the Soviets and his son, Sirajuddin who directs operations are increasingly the targets of drones and now manned NATO aircraft in Pakistan as the Pakistani's have been leery to go in the area for whatever reason. Many are being killed, I heard over 80 in a week with no civilian casualties.
I wish we would quickly kill the Haqqani's, both Jalaluddin and Sirajuddin and leave the rest to Pakistan. We are getting closer hitting a nerve and I can finally see success if Pakistan and the ISI cooperate. We have been taking down one key leader after the next for the last 6 months but with their rate of regeneration this is just beginning and we can not relent now nor think any form of victory is at hand. I wish we would get out and leave the rest up to Afghanistan and Pakistan, keep an aye on events, and see what they do from here on in. Our job as a ground force is done if we are smart enough to leave starting this year like we said we would.

If we don't leave Iraq in 2011 it will be Custer's last stand on a grand scale
If you have been following my line of thought on this illegal war in Iran you know civil war was guaranteed from day one when Bush ignored the and why. Just take a glance at the 3 links immediately following and you will agree it is coming soon and it is inevitable. The Kurd's want us there to protect their free Kurdistan which will be over when we are gone.
The Sunni want us to stay in order to protect them from Shiite violence they feel is backed by Iran. Incidentally you can bet if not now Saudi Arabia will be helping the Sunni. Well what a surprise huh? 45 Shiite pilgrims killed in twin suicide bombings in Iraq's Karbala
Meanwhile right from day one of his return Muqtada Al-sadr told his people to fight the American's any way they can till we leave in 2011. I don't think that will be the result of it but knowing the army is largely Shiite I have to believe the two soldiers were doing his bidding and my worst fears about Iraq and the middle east are coming true.
Al-sadr's return complicates "to put it mildly" US existence
Iraqi cleric urges supporters to resist the US
Iraqi soldiers kill two US soldiers in Mosul
I have to reiterate something I have said too many times since Bush chose to ignore all warnings of total civil war spreading throughout the entire Middle East so he could attack Iraq and straighten out the Middle East as God spoke to him and instructed him to. You know I firmly believe and have said so a million times by now that since 9/11 everything was construed to allow Bush to gain the power he needed to prosecute his new order not just in the Middle East but on the entire world! He diverted from Afghanistan to get back into the Middle East with the goal of setting up a larger safety zone for Israel and going after Iran.
Bush has created a hell on earth for Iraq that he calls liberty and success with promises to spread it throughout the entire Middle East. He has long wanted a Korea style force in Iraq to secure the peace! We were concerned because we knew that would never work in Iraq or the Middle East! Planting our military in the middle of the mess Bush has created out of the Middle East because of his failed Democratization program would be a Custer's Last Stand on a grand scale!
I still see a total civil war Sunni against Shiite erupting in the Middle East because Bush freed up Iran to instigate it on their end and they are. I still am concerned we will have a permanent presence in the Middle East but feel we will have to largely leave Iraq to her own demise. We will still be there but it looks like Yemen, and the Gulf of Aden will be the prime focus unless Iran gets something going between the US and Iran.
As you know, I talk about it often as I watch Bush's new Middle East (dis)order progress. He ignored Afghanistan so he could use the patriot acts powers to divert from Afghanistan to attack Iraq using the excuse of unseating Saddam so he could get in the Middle East to help Israel establish a buffer zone and establish a new middle east (dis) order or so Israel and Cheney thought. Bush at Cheney's urging made an abrupt shift in policy towards Syria, a shift that has now brought the entire Mideast region to the brink of war and chaos. Much worse than the hell on earth they created for Iraq. Did you ever read A clean Break
That plan was put together in 1996 for Israel. They were just waiting for an idiot to come along so they could implement their plan for the Middle East. Along came the life long follower and life long alcoholic loser Georgie Bush. I wish I could say the rest is History but this is still barely beginning and just beginning to take shape. All Bush did by ignoring Afghanistan and attacking Iraq was to guarantee a loss of everything and a complete Middle East and Asian Breakdown.
He freed Iran up to pursue her version of new middle East order by interfering wherever she could while Bush was doing the same thing with his Middle East Democratization program. I think you can see how successful Bush and Cheney were with chaos creating Middle East Democracy program but you are barely seeing the results they created in Iran.
The goal absolutely is to be the country who decides which direction the new Middle East (dis)order will take. Bush started it by attacking Iraq to get into the middle east to destabilize it and start the new middle east order the idiot said God told him to do now it will be up to Iran and Saudi Arabia at least up front fight it out whether this goes the Iranian Shiite way or the Saudi Arabian Sunni way and do not forget Israel!
Both will fail! It has long been my contention that coming to Israel's aid once they attack Iran will be our in to Iran!
What about the Kurds who want their autonomy and they do not want to share their oil fields period. Nuri Al-Maliki wants that issue resolved and it will never be.
Bush has created a hell on earth for Iraq that he still calls liberty and success with promises to spread it throughout the entire Middle East Sunni against Shiite. Bush had long wanted a Korea style force in Iraq to secure the peace! That will never work in Iraq or the Middle East! Planting our military in the middle of the mess Bush has created out of the Middle East because of his failed Democratization program is going to be a Custer's Last Stand on a grand scale if we are still there when this breaks open! Looking at the war cabinet Obama has amassed I am going to say at this point that this is going to happen even under a President Obama. Watch out Iran!

After Tucson this State of the union will be a game changer
Will Obama face a different crowd at State of the Union? Yes he will! Read below, this is his 9/11 moment!
After a traumatic few days with both party's blaming the other for the rhetoric we have all been hearing from day one. We as a Nation needed President Obama's healing speech. Limbaugh and Beck along with Hannity and the rest of them fed this too as you know and the Republicans said nothing and used it to get elected. They are all responsible. Both sides are scared to the point where I see a second term for President Obama and they know they must respond positively to President Obama's message of hope.
Obama's message of hope and to stop the blame game, we can be better really resonated because "yes we can" The political games will continue but we as a people can come together. He use to be criticized by the right for saying we can be better and for putting down America which was not what he was doing but largely due to them we can be better and we must move forward and come together.
America is sharply divided and as you know it is not just our politics. Republicans have purposely instigated a huge rise in anti Government militia around the nation wanting to take down the Government.
Obama's speech went a long way "if not all the way"in healing sharply polarized divisions for our own good because we are coming apart at the seams. President Obama found the right words in his moral, in his call to unity, as he always does in his speeches. The difference is I believe both sides agree with what he said as they must if we are to heal as a Nation. Barack Obama's Tucson speech rose to the moment and transcended it Obama to Americans: 'We can be better' Yes we can!
Udall: 2 others back State of Union show of unity Traditionally they sit on 2 sides of the aisle while one side stood up and cheered the other sat somber and stone faced. Time to come together for America. Time to show unity! Remember when 9/11 was used by those on the right to accuse Democrats of not being Patriotic and loving America if they did not back everything President Bush and Republicans wanted? Well this is his 9/11 moment!

The return of Moqtada al-Sadr will reignite the civil war countering Sunni violence
What's next for Iraq after Sadr's comeback as Anti-US Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr's return to Iraq from exile in Iran is a product of the rise to political power of the Sadrist movement, and declining US influence What do you think? The enigmatic cleric mobilized millions of poor Shi'ite Muslims after the 2003 invasion that ousted Saddam Hussein and his militia battled U.S. forces. His return could mean a shift away from fiery rhetoric in the wake of his bloc's political gains in last year's election.
He wants to be a political leader and you can bet he has the backing of Iran where he has been living and studying during his exile. Much of the continued violence is attributed to Sunni Islamist insurgents opposed to Shi'ite political supremacy in Iraq, but some of it is due to Shi'ite extremist groups once allied with the Sadrist movement but which have since split. You can bet this civil war is going to be reignited regardless of what they say.
Iraq still wants the US out in 2011 They want to get on with their Bush guaranteed civil war in this Bush guaranteed Middle East breakdown.
I have to reiterate something I have said too many times since Bush chose to ignore all warnings of total civil war spreading throughout the entire Middle East so he could attack Iraq and straighten out the Middle East as God spoke to him and instructed him to. Israel prepared for 'large war', WikiLeaks cable reveals: yeeeah? That is why Bush attacked Iraq!
Israel prepared for 'large war', WikiLeaks cable reveals That's no leak we have known that since 1996 and that is why the mindless life long loser was elected in the first place. They needed someone they could manipulate and voila Bush showed up. You knoew the rest of the horror at least up to now.

It has long been my contention that coming to Israel's aid once they attack Iran will be our in to Iran!
Israel lied to get nuclear weapons and will do anything to keep Iran from doing the same and challenging them. Remember Mordechai Vanunu whistle blower of Israel's clandestine nuclear program? Uzi Eilam former head of Israel's Atomic Energy Commission said Mordechai Vanunu did Israel a favor after revealing information about an illegal nuclear program at Israel's Dimona reactor. His information proved that Israel had broken the 1968 treaty on nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation. There is a US law that prohibits the support of countries that break the treaty in question.
I must admit Israel's hypocrisy and lies are a plan I have discussed often and I have to disagree with Eliam's final assertion. He says an attack on Iran's nuclear program would be counter productive. I beg to differ! The General hit the nail on the head though and does not know it. I have long asserted that Israel would attack Iran's nuclear interests and we would come to her rescue.
That is a fact that is why I find his final statement troubling and prophetic. He correctly said One strike is not practical. In order to delay the Iranian program for three to four years one needs an armada of aircraft, which only a super-power can provide. Only America can do it. Bingo! You know from numerous discussions here that Iran is involved in every Middle Eastern country not just Yemen, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia where they have corrupted elections for Shiite interests in Iraq, backing rebels in Yemen, and instigating attacks on Saudi oil fields. Bush freed Iran to instigate far and wide and they are.
Israel is not going to back down. When all is said and done they know the US will be there for them. I am sure the US plans to come to Israel's rescue and do it largely from the Gulf with numerous carrier fighter groups but the George Washington is holding exercises near Korea to further instigate the North. When are we going to realize this entire mess I call a forever war is just beginning and this is our future. A future of war for us and profiteering for the elite. Israel will have their larger war.

Gates warns China not to underestimate US power
Gates, China Say Stronger Military Ties Needed To Avoid Conflict, China was tepid but undeterred as Gates warns China not to underestimate US power. Oh that's helpful. The Chinese are working on a stealth aircraft said to be years away but looked pretty advanced to me, building a base in the middle east and in the Gulf of Aden, and building their first Aircraft carrier as they unveil a retrofitted Soviet carrier and announced a missile designed to sink aircraft carriers, they are also instigating around Asia with their Navy. They will get worse as we get closer to the way of the Roman Empire.
Gates, China Say Stronger Military Ties Needed To Avoid Conflict
Gates warns China not to underestimate US power
Cooperation between China Russia and the US is critical not just Russia but China too! Obama was right to say our ties will shape the future of the 21st century. The US and China are eyeing each other and moving very cautiously as they try to strike a balance. A few years back I began to view our relationship with China as the most important in the world. Not because we drove each others economy but because if at the time with Bush's instigation to war with Russia China due to the fact of how our 2 economies are so intertwined that if something happened China would side with us not Russia. I never imagined that today problems between China and Japan would be the issue.
As we discussed there have been at least three cases of groups of Chinese military ships crossing through the area of Okinawa since November 2008, first 4 ships then 6 then 8 and now 10 including destroyers and submarines. That case appeared to be the first involving surfaced submarines. The group of 10 ships, including the submarines, was observed about 90 miles (140 kilometers) southwest of Okinawa in international waters.
Two missile destroyers and three frigate ships from the same group were spotted participating in a flight exercise of carrier-based helicopters April 7-9, the Defense Ministry's Joint Staff Office said in a statement The war ships were in international waters but close to Okinawa and Japan was not notified. That area as you may know has natural resources under the ocean and islands claimed by both Nations. It is important that we stay in Okinawa as China plays a more important role in Asia and around the world as she gains strength militarily and economically as we just discussed. Remember our discussion on the importance of China and the US staying together to move successfully through the 21st century
We must maintain as much of the old world balance and order as we can to maintain a balance as we try to move progressively and successfully through the 21st century! I know of China and Japan's past, I know of the still ongoing Island disputes, the disagreement over natural gas in another area of the East China Sea, I also remember that with China's economic clout rising she took the number 3 seat on the world bank and we talk constantly that China is taking the leading role in Asia and Asia relations.
Being in a superior position puts one in a unique position of power and that power must be handled gracefully, with humility, responsibly, and not abused. That is something I taught all my sons and America under Bush did a lousy job of handling. I am a little worried that China too is getting a little too heavy handed and abusive with her new position of power and beginning to take what she wants instead of being content with what she has which is what I constantly lecture has to be the case if we are to have a future. The time when man and the planet could handle war and colonialism is over, period or else!

Global nuclear cover-up: Depleted Uranium, Gulf war Syndrome, Increased Autism, Diabetes, Cancer!
I was watching a program about a scientist who did a fraudulent study on Autism being attributed to flu vaccine and thought I should get the truth out on this once more: Global nuclear cover-up, Depleted uranium, Gulf war Syndrome, increased Autism Diabetes Cancer, they won't admit it but Now you know why! Leuren Moret is a whistle blower from the Livermore Lab. In her presentations she exposes shocking and highly suppressed facts about our Government poisoning is with radiation right at this very moment.
Leuren documents every statement she makes with research documents many of which are actual Government Data to draw their conclusions. Did you know that diabetes, Autism, and other forms of mental illness are caused by exposure on nuclear radiation. No wonder Diabetes and Autism are on the upswing and supposedly no one knows why. You have to believe they do not want you to know the truth here too.
watch the video of Lauren speaking the truth about the nuclear cover up
From nuclear testing we have switched to nuclear power plants that are causing increasingly high rates of cancer, birth defects, and literally an epidemic of diabetes. I have heard it mentioned here before that we have used weapons containing depleted Uranium and didn't really think too much about it because I really wasn't sure.
However watching this video totally documented that depleted uranium has not only turned Iraq and Afghanistan into uninhabitable nuclear holocaust for millions of years. Remember the Gulf war Syndrome? Depleted uranium was also used at Tora Bora. I was not aware of that! Cancer among soldiers is rampant!
We are giving our soldiers a death sentence. Why are we not testing our soldiers? You know why! Anyway it is also blowing over the rest of the planet causing Americans, Europeans, and others to die from radiation diseases.
Remember Chernobyl? That too is affecting all of us as it only takes one year to mix globally. This is all something our Governments do not want us to know. I was really surprised to hear the Queen has a great financial interest in Uranium mines around the world. I was blown away to hear that there were 2 million new cases of Diabetes around the world in one year.
It is not just Britain and the U.S. that do not want the truth known, there is a Global Conspiracy on the issue because other governments are also involved in nuclear programs and they don't want their citizens to know the real reasons why their children are being born with severe anomalies and why the diabetes rates are soaring worldwide. This is just amazing! Watch the video and the cities around the world that are least affected will blow you away. Washington DC is the lowest in the country. What a surprise.
This all amazes me in light of the Manifesto to the World I wrote detailing what is happening and why, and what we will do to the planet someone has to be able to live and be sustained on, and hearing routinely the rattles of war threatening to make things even worse!
