The race to Bush's Forever War: Russia to cut Military ties to NATO warn of military response to MDS as Pakistan continues to explode!

Destructive updates and videos Below First a recap: The US has absolutely no political or moral standing to denounce Russia or anyone else for deploying military force. Washington asserts an unlimited and unilateral right to mobilize its massive apparatus of military violence wherever and whenever it wishes, spreading death and destruction from the Persian Gulf to Central Asia and threatening even more bloody conflagrations. In the current conflict, the US government and media have cast Russia as the aggressor. There is no progressive content to Moscow’s actions in Georgia. They are motivated by the predatory aims of the Russian ruling elite, which is intent on reasserting Russian control over territories on its border that it dominated for centuries. However, the eruption of war in the Caucasus is the outcome of a policy pursued by US imperialism since the breakup of the Soviet Union whose ultimate aim is the reduction of Russia to a semi-colonial status.

It is inconceivable that Washington was not intimately involved in the preparations for Georgia’s attack on South Ossetia. US military advisers virtually run the military of what Washington considers its key ally in the Caucasus, a strategically critical bridgehead between the oil-rich Caspian Basin and Western Europe. Just one month ago Secretary of State Rice visited Tbilisi and reaffirmed US support for Georgia’s admission to NATO, a development which Russia considers an intolerable threat to its security. Rice’s visit was followed by a massive three-week military training exercise, in which 1,000 US troops participated. The incendiary measures announced by Bush on Wednesday represent the response of American imperialism to the major setback it has suffered as a result of Russia’s military intervention in Georgia. There is great concern within the US ruling elite that Russia’s routing of Georgia will undermine Washington’s drive to displace Russia from Moscow’s former spheres of influence in Eastern Europe and Central Asia and establish American hegemony over the Eurasian land mass. US policy makers worry that the example of Georgia will weaken US control over right-wing client regimes it has established in a whole number of countries that were either part of the Soviet Union, such as Georgia and Ukraine, or allied to the Soviet Union through the Warsaw Pact.

A pattern of provocation: From the dissolution of the USSR in 1991 to the present, the United States has carried out a policy of militarily encircling Russia and surrounding it with hostile states dependent upon and subservient to Washington. As the USSR was disintegrating, the United States launched its first war against Iraq, a key ally of the Soviet Union in the Middle East. During the 1990s, the US and Western Europe sponsored the dismemberment of Yugoslavia in order to isolate and weaken the Russian ally Serbia. In 1998, the US spearheaded the incorporation into NATO, the US-dominated military alliance, of a whole number of newly independent states that had been either part of the Soviet Union or allied to it through the Warsaw Pact, including Estonia, Latvia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Bulgaria. Please read the complete report

Now, Bush thinks France and the world are on his side as he instigates his Forever War but look at this! So how did the crisis in Georgia really come about? Many Europeans believe that the events of the past week can be traced back to the recognition of Kosovo - which was also a clear violation of international law - and which the Russians have skillfully turned to their own advantage. For France’s Le Figaro newspaper, Renaud Girard writes in part:

“Twenty years after being eclipsed by what was called the American ‘hyper power,’ we are witnessing the Russian Bear’s big comeback to the international scene. The Western diplomatic ballet now trying to temper the violence of the Russian reaction to Georgian President Saakachvili’s forceful blow against Southern Ossetia last Thursday will change nothing. … Naively, Saakachvili believed that having international law on his side was enough to enable him to use force. The problem is that his Western friends have just precisely violated these very rules, by unilaterally recognizing Kosovo’s independence … In Brussels earlier this year, Russian Foreign minister Lavrov solemnly warned his American counterpart Condi Rice: the recognition of Kosovo would set a precedent for Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The Americans and their major European allies were mistaken not take him seriously.”

Not only this but the Ukraine is getting involved! Ukraine's military pledged on Thursday to carry out orders issued by the president obliging Russia's Black Sea Fleet to seek official permission for its movements. "There is a presidential decree and it will, naturally, be implemented. I guarantee that we will do everything to ensure the president's decree is carried out," Chief of Ukraine's General Staff Sergei Kyrychenko told a press briefing. President Viktor Yushchenko issued a decree on Wednesday requiring Russian naval vessels to request permission 10 days in advance before returning to the Ukrainian port of Sevastopol. Russia's defense ministry quickly denounced it as "not serious." The move ratcheted up tensions between Russia and Ukraine, which has given political support to Tbilisi during Russia's military conflict with Georgia. Russia has maintained its Black Sea fleet base in Sevastopol since the 1991 Soviet collapse and the current Russian lease on the facility expires in 2017.

Also to really instigate this war Poland and the United States will sign a preliminary deal to place part of a U.S. ballistic missile defense system in Poland -- a plan that has drawn sharp objections from Russia, the Polish president's office confirmed Thursday to CNN. The Bush administration has long pushed to base missile interceptors in Poland. The interceptor rockets would be linked to an air-defense radar system in the Czech Republic, whose officials agreed in April to take part in the system. Both countries are former Soviet satellites but now are members of the U.S.-led NATO alliance. The United States' plans to base the anti-missile system in Eastern Europe have raised alarms in Russia.

Moscow has mounted serious opposition to the missile shield plan, although the United States has insisted it is designed to counter threats from the Middle East and is not an aggressive move against Russia. The United States has also agreed to help Poland modernize its military, which it requested as a condition of its support for housing the missile defense system. Thursday's agreement comes amid heightened tensions between the United States and Russia over Moscow's invasion of Georgia, a U.S. ally Read last weeks update on Bush's Forever War coming to a head

Now Todays updates:
Hypocrisy: Despite Rice's BS and saying Russia has lost credibility Russia hints at military respnse over Poland!

Then announce Russia to cut military ties with NATO!

not only do we now have 5 carrier Battle Groups in the Gulf as we antagonize Iran but Pakistan is degenerating rapidly as Suicide blasts kill 57 at Pakistan arms factory

* None of this will be turned around! Because of the lie we are living since Bush This will all only end one way and one can only wonder what will be left after? There will be war with Iran. There will be war with Russia. There will be World War. There will be a "Forever War" They are al long instigated and necessary to Bush's forever war and declaring martial law. Remember the "denied" North American Union between the US, Canada, and Mexico? The North American corridor connecting them? Rumor of A new monetary system to replace the dollar? Yes it is all long in the works and coming to a head perfectly for Bush. There is no coincidence or surprise here just denial per usual until it all becomes undeniable fact!

We are screwed: It is very telling and confusing when you agree with a "manufactured" enemy!

Once again we will never know the truth as grey area is created to hide the truth: Georgia, South Ossetia, Russia in a nutshell!
This is what we are Hearing! First:

Georgia calls for international help while Russia appears to be taking it all!

UN emergency meeting on Russia Georgia Crisis!

Meanwhile From South Ossetia:

Russians are our saviors! Russia is invincible! what about Abkhazia?

In A Nutshell: Russian troops, tanks and warplanes descended on the province of South Ossetia on Friday, responding to a Georgian offensive aiming to crack down on the province's separatists. The conflict is rooted in a battle between the Georgian government, the people of South Ossetia and Russia, whose officials said they have peacekeeping missions in the area. The Georgian government is battling with the people of South Ossetia because of their continued demands for independence. The Georgian government insists South Ossetia must remain part of its territory and refuses to budge on the region's continuing demands for independence.
The Georgian government also refuses to bow to a push by some South Ossetians' for a reunification with North Ossetia, which would place the region under Russian control. Russian leaders have said they will defend their citizens in South Ossetia, referring to the nearly 70,000 people who have Russian passports or work in the neighboring country.

Leaders in Moscow insisted the Russian military response was aimed at protecting peacekeeping forces and civilians in South Ossetia, but Georgia cast it as a full-on invasion. The battle holds significance to other world powers, including the United States, for its threat to the stability of a critical region, and for its importance in the oil trade. World powers do not want to see the region destabilized by a military battle because the area is important for oil transport, serving as a keystone in a route that avoids Russia and Iran.
Georgia, South Ossetia, Russia in a nutshell!

It is intentional once again but are you confused yet? Look at what they are saying at Russian Bloggers.com
"Truth is the first casualty of war," as is always said about now, because that statement is almost always right. And the second casualty is surely civilized restraint. Wars are easy to start, hard to contain, let alone end. Right now, the surprising events in South Ossetia and Georgia represent a clash of information and interpretations. This is getting sorted out, but slowly. However, the events themselves are agonizingly speedy.

For a couple of years now Discovery Institute's Russia Blog has been almost unique in representing otherwise ignored news about Russia, Eastern Europe and Eurasia. Often we provide access to news about business, culture and social developments that are occurring in a region that the West--including the USA--has tended to neglect since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Now we are faced with a war in Georgia that is as big a surprise to most people (diplomats, too, it appears) as it is an obvious catastrophe for the peoples involved and an historic setback for Russian/Western relations. The complications for other regions will soon develop.

The most we can hope for would seem to be an immediate cooling-off period. After that must come some sober investigation of how things got out of hand. Then how to find a way ahead. Our first task at Russia Blog has been to try to get out facts and responsible opinions, letting readers sort them out. We do not want to promote some of the incendiary options being proposed and don't want to give them space. Our second task is to help air alternatives that stand some prospect of establishing peace. in this case, people who think the solutions are simple probably don't understand the situation.

*Sounds like the truth to me! Please read the rest! They have a great archive! This is all about the oil and no one is going to relent. The region is embroiled and this too is only going to get mach worse as Bush, Medvedev, Georgia, and everyone else in the world today hides the truth so they can create a gray area and further their hidden agenda. This is just one small part of the turmoil created as the world fights over oil and each countries role as they endeavor to move into the future! You see what is in store for all of us so once again I will only say relax, be prepared, and stay together and we will make it through this!

another timely terrorist warning as Iran reiterates we are going down. Nothing has or will change regardless of who is elected but...

Expecting a terrorist attack! What a coincidence just in time to affect the election! Will we even have it?

Now we are led to believe Bush is changing his tune with Iran. Bush is changing nothing with Iran! The chief lying war monger wants a peace legacy while Iran guarantees our demise as cooperation is emphasized! What?
Bush has changed nothing with Iran!! He didn't change anything! Someone was sent to listen in Switzerland but there was no conversation between them and nothing will change. It is just another facade of cooperation and concern, Have you noticed that as the world and the country increasingly fall behind Obama Bush is changing to what he is exhorting but only to continue this charade of Diplomacy until war can be started. That is the only goal and it will not be avoided. Two days ago I posted on the secret meeting Congress held in March to discuss declaring martial Law if things get worse as they are every day and they will get much worse. This entire manufactured perfect storm of financial collapse and war is soon to come to a head and no one will stop it.

I will not stop but no one will stop this and I am very annoyed that no one of consequence sees the brevity of our situation or what is really happening here. The other day I posted about the fact that Bush had the Taliban in Crawford and was meeting with them in Washington as he wanted their permission in creating a pipeline through Afghanistan. When the deal was nixed 10 days later 9/11 "suddenly" happened and Afghanistan was attacked. This is all about oil (Cheney, Bush, Rice, and others) running the white House and the country. Iran announced yesterday that they now have 6,000 centrifuges. Whether they do or not Iran will be attacked by Israel or us but this forever war will progress. I am very peeved to see our own Government purposely bringing this about and those with the connections to make a difference are not.

Despite the BS that Bush is trying to be more diplomatic with Iran as the idiot should have been from the start. His in your face my way or the highway do what I say or else so called "Diplomacy" has already set events in motion in Iran and around the world that will proceed regardless of who our President is! As he has in the past Iran's president on Tuesday blamed the U.S. and other "big powers" for nuclear proliferation, AIDS and other global ills, and accused them of exploiting the U.N. and other organizations for their own gain and the developing world's loss.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said, time was on the poor countries' side. "The big powers are going down," Ahmadinejad told foreign ministers of the Nonaligned Movement meeting in Tehran. "They have come to the end of their power, and the world is on the verge of entering a new, promising era." The more than 100-member NAM is made up of such diverse members as communist Cuba, Jamaica and India and depicts itself as bloc-free. But most members share a critical view of the U.S and the developed world in general. And with Iran assuming the chairmanship of the conference Tuesday, Ahmadinejad's keynote speech was tailored to reflect the struggle that some NAM members see themselves in against the world's rich and powerful countries. A draft of the final document that ministers will be asked to approve, made available to The Associated Press as the conference opened Tuesday, reflected that struggle.

"The rich and powerful countries continue to exercise an inordinate influence in determining the nature and direction of international relations, including economic and trade relations, as well as rules governing these relations, many of which are at the expense of developing countries," it said. NAM countries oppose "unilaterally imposed measures by certain states ... the use and threat of use of force, and pressure and coercive measures as a means to achieving their national policy objectives," said the draft. That appeared to be an indirect slap at the United States, which has refused to rule out force as a possible means of last resort against Iran unless it heeds U.N. Security Council demands to curb its nuclear activities. The draft also condemns "the categorization of countries as good or evil based on unilateral and unjustified criteria" -- oblique criticism of President Bush's labeling of Iran as part of an "axis of evil" along with Saddam Hussein's Iraq and North Korea.Ahmadinejad reiterates we are going down

I have to agree we are and Bush is responsible for it! Not just what he has done around the world that scum but the destruction of our societal order and our financial collapse! I have to say that the only benefit of an Obama Presidency will be that he would not be the sole decider and he would take care of we the people and our America. With that said as I have said in the past we will eventually be facing Iran, Russia, China, the non aligned Nations and everyone else Bush has wronged regardless of who the President is. We are screwed if Bush declares martial law, steals McCain in, or succeeds in setting the stage for him as he is as Homeland security warns of increased terrorist threats in time to benefit McAssWipe

A Panel calls for new war powers Legislation! You better hurreeeee! As usual Bush will act first as his caused world war three is unstoppable!

The other day a Panel calls for new war powers Legislation! You better hurreeeee! As usual Bush will act first as his caused world war three is unstoppable and getting closer. Then John Bolton on Hannity and Colmes said we are Inching towards war with Iran! Inching you mean racing?
On that front we discussed this possibility a year ago, it is now reality! Russia is thinking of aiming nuclear weapons at western Europe for the first time since the end of the cold war, according to defense sources in Moscow. The move is being considered in response to American plans to develop a defense shield against missiles from Iran and other countries. The plans under discussion include the possible deployment of ballistic missiles to Kaliningrad, a Russian enclave between the European Union countries of Lithuania and Poland. Kaliningrad has been nuclear-free since America and Russia agreed to scale back their nuclear arsenals at the end of the cold war.

A Russian parliamentary committee visited the enclave 10 days ago to examine how a new generation of nuclear missiles could be based there. Any such deployment would significantly escalate tensions in Europe between Moscow and Washington. Thanks to Bush Europe faces Russian nuclear missile threat

Also on that front and as a result of direct instigation to war Three days after the Czech Republic signed an agreement with the United States to host a tracking radar for an antiballistic missile system that Russia vehemently opposes, the authorities in Prague said the flow of Russian oil to their country was beginning to dwindle. In a statement on Friday, Czech officials declined to link the reduced supply to the deal signed Tuesday in Prague. Still, though the flow of oil can vary for technical reasons, it was clear that the Czechs suspected a connection and intended to ask the Russians to explain the decline. Russia maintains that the missiles meant to shoot down other missiles pose a threat to its own nuclear deterrence. The Bush administration says they are intended instead to counter a threat from Iran, which launched nine missiles on Wednesday. Czechs See Oil Flow Fall and Suspect Russian Ire on Missile System

I know just another coincidence! plus on the middle east front Syria caught on! The Syrian president has accused the US president of not being interested in peace in the Middle East, making it impossible for direct talks with Israel to go ahead within the next six months.Bashar al-Assad had asked Nicolas Sarkozy and the US to assist in peace negotiations as the two presidents met in Paris on Saturday ahead of talks by the Union for the Mediterranean. But Al-Assad said that his government will wait for the next administration to enter the White House, and made clear that the US should be closely involved in the process. Assad critical of Bush peace effort

Bush does not want Peace unless it is on his terms. He wants war! Towards that end: we hear Tensions may be rising between Israel and Iran after Tehran's latest missile test, but the BBC's Jonathan Marcus suggests it is too early to assume the worst. A high barbed wire fence marks the perimeter of the Palmachim air base. You can easily see the launch containers for US-supplied Patriot air defence missiles, large green rectangular boxes canted up at an angle of 45 degrees. But it is what is not visible that makes Palmachim Israel's front line in the growing war of words with Tehran. For this is also the base for a battery of Arrow interceptors, the weapon Israel is counting on to defend itself against a potential missile attack from Iran.

I asked one man in East Jerusalem what he thought. Was he worried about an Iranian missile attack? "Not at all," he replied with a grin. "You remember Saddam Hussein's rockets," he said. "Well, look what happened to him! The Iranians will go the same way." A 'new Persia'? That the views of a Palestinian from East Jerusalem should be so in tune with the Israeli mainstream illustrates the curious coalition That Iran's regional prominence has created. Israel, the United States, and many of its Arab allies in the region are eager to contain the rise of this new Persia. Iran and Israel's war of words

That will never happen without war and Congress better initiate emergency Legislation to control Bush's power to initiate war before he has a chance to beat them to the punch one again. The perfect manufactured storm from beginning to end is about to come to a head and this will dwarf WW2 and the Great Depression combined and be a Hell of a lot longer!

Mutual destruction no longer a Deterrent as Jews flee Iran, Nuclear war deaths between Iran and Israel underestimated as Russia improves nuclear...

Mutual destruction no longer a Deterrent as Jews flee Iran, Nuclear war deaths between Iran and Israel underestimated as Russia improves nuclear strike capabilities!

Two days ago I posted a Report stating Iran Would Suffer Up to 20 Million Casualties in Nuclear War With Israel. An estimated 16-20 million Iranians would die in a nuclear war with Israel, according to a report issued by a respected Washington think tank. The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) also estimates that between 200,000 and 800,000 Israelis would be killed, the Jerusalem Post reported.

The report, which is theoretical and based on limited verified knowledge of Israel's and Iran's nuclear capability, paints a bleak picture for both nations. It estimates that a nuclear war would last approximately three weeks and ultimately end with the annihilation of Iran, based on Israel's alleged possession of sophisticated and powerful nuclear weapons. The report does not predict the number of deaths due to nuclear fallout. It lists possible targets for an Iranian strike as Tel Aviv and Haifa, while the list of probable targets in Iran includes Tehran and Tabriz.

The report also points to Israel's Arrow missile defense system as an obstacle facing any Iranian strike. Another scenario includes Syria coming to Iran's defense with chemical and biological warheads launched at Israeli targets. Up to 800,000 Israelis would be killed if that were to happen, according to the report. Syria, however, would be forced to grapple with the deaths of approximately 18 million of its citizens if Israel responded with its nuclear arsenal, the Post reported. too rosy scenario

You know from my past stories on the subject that I am hoping nuclear war in the middle east will be avoided because it would at the very least render the middle east and its assets off limits for the rest of the world due to the nuclear fall out! 20 million dead Iranian's and 800,000 dead Israeli's is far too rosy and would be just the tip of the iceberg. No one seems to care about the dire state the planet is already as it becomes increasingly obvious that countries are now willing to chance mutual destruction for God and destruction of perceived enemies. Nuclear war between Israel and Iran whether Iran had the weapons or not would drag in the US (willingly if Bush is in I'm afraid) on the side of Israel and Russia and China rushing to the aid of their ally Iran. Even that sounds too rosy. you know from my past line of stories that Bush need war to further his idea of a one Government world.

* Today with the subject of Israel, Iran, and nuclear war progressing daily I have to note the latest developments! I must admit I was surprised when I first found out there were still Israeli's living in Iran so knowing what is unfolding between Iran and Israel as well as us, Russia, China. and the rest of the world this does not surprise me but warns us that this middle east explosion is getting closer!

Greeted by joyous relatives and a crowd of Israeli TV reporters, about 40 Iranian Jews landed in Israel Tuesday, leaving behind their lives in an increasingly bellicose Islamic regime for new homes in the Jewish state. The new immigrants took a covert route, facilitated by the Israeli government and backed with funding from American evangelical Christians who see their efforts as a fulfillment of biblical prophecy. The sensitivity of the operation was in evidence throughout. No details about their route of exit from Iran were given, but it was assumed they came through a third country.

Yehiel Eckstein, a rabbi who founded the Jewish-evangelical International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, said each immigrant receives $10,000 (euro6,950) from the group to help get them started in Israel because they "start in Israel with nothing," leaving behind all their possessions. Interviewed by telephone from Chicago, Eckstein warned that the situation facing Iranian Jews is critical, because of the attitude of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has repeatedly called for Israel to be "wiped off the map." Despite a recent U.S. intelligence report that found Iran has stopped its nuclear weapons program, Israel believes Iran is still trying to build a nuclear bomb. It already has long-range missiles.

Altogether this year about 200 Iranian Jews have arrived in Israel of a total of about 25,000 Jews in Iran. Michael Jankelowitz, spokesman for the quasi-governmental Jewish Agency, which deals with immigration, said more Jews have arrived in Israel from Iran in 2007 than in any other year since the 1978 Islamic revolution there, and the group of 40 was the largest. Iranian Jews are increasingly concerned about the intensity of attacks on Israel by the Iranian press, which they view as bordering on anti-Semitism ad I don't blame them. Read the whole sordid story
Meanwhile speaking of Russia's involvement in this unfolding scenario Russia's military on Tuesday successfully test-fired a new intercontinental ballistic missile capable of carrying multiple nuclear warheads -- a weapon intended to replace aging Soviet-era missiles. Existing Topol-M missiles carry a single nuclear warhead and are capable of hitting targets more than 6,000 miles away.

"The RS-24's deployment will strengthen the Strategic Missile Forces' capability to penetrate missile defense systems and strengthen the nuclear deterrent potential of Russia's strategic nuclear forces," the statement said. "The RS-24 will form the backbone of the Strategic Missile Forces and safely ensure the security of Russia and its allies through the mid-century." President Vladimir Putin has used windfall oil revenues to modernize Russia's military arsenals amid increasing tensions with the West. The Kremlin has fiercely opposed U.S. plans to deploy missile defense sites in Poland and the Czech Republic, saying they threaten Russia's security. Russia's nuclear Missile improvements thanks to Bush
This horrific event will not be just between Iran and Israel or with the US. The entire world will be dragged in and dragged down! Everything Bush has done is to instigate world war three including the MDS while appearing the innocent victim forced to war he has been instigating will not be avoided and is coming to fruition. I am sickened knowing the fragility of the planet and that the obvious casualties will not deter anyone. I saw that last week there was a special on CBS titled In Gods Name. The horror man is willing to unleash in Gods name is what strikes me! Mutual Destruction is no longer a deterrent to nuclear war but a goal and for God and in Gods name. Why? Can we stop this? We must act now!

Fox and Bush wrong again about Al Qaeda and Iraq, Top analyst ignored but right that Afghanistan and Pakistan most important!

During his recent televised speech about Iraq, the president hammered home the point once again that a loss in Iraq is a victory for Al Qaeda. Of that, no realist without a political agenda could argue. What he failed to mention with clarity, however, is that a loss in Iraq is also a victory for Iran — a clear victory at that, and one whose ramifications may extend far beyond those of a victorious Al Qaeda.
Fox analyst Lt. Col. Bill Cowan is wrong again as he says the real issue is not about an Al Qaeda victory in Iraq. It’s worse. It’s about an Iranian victory in Iraq. Iran as empowered and emboldened, quick to fill the void, on the threshold of having nuclear weapons and openly frank in their desire to wipe Israel and the U.S. off the map.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,290723,00.html
I don't have to tell you but a loss in Iraq, the entire middle east, and Pakistan and Afghanistan was guaranteed the day Bush diverted from the so called war on terror in Afghanistan to attack Iraq not to unseat Saddam or free the Iraqi's but to get our military in the middle east to prosecute his new middle east order "God" told Him too. He will not leave period until he finds an excuse to use our military further while they are over there. He is still insisting that the biggest threat too Iraq is Al Qaeda.
He is only saying that to get the American people behind him as he endeavors to stay in Iraq until he finds his excuse to attack Iran or Pakistan, whoever comes first now. You know my concern has increasingly become for Al Qaeda, Islamists, Taliban, Mujahadeen, Insurgents, whatever you want to call them, coming from Pakistan. I was glad to hear that a day after President Bush sought to present evidence showing that Iraq is now the main battlefront against Al Qaeda, the chief US intelligence analyst for international terrorism told Congress that the network's growing ranks in Pakistan and Afghanistan pose a more immediate threat to the United States.
You know he will be ignored because he is right but In rare testimony before two House committees, Edward Gistaro, the national intelligence officer for transnational threats, said that Al Qaeda terrorists operating in South Asia are better equipped to attack the United States than the network's followers in Iraq are.
Asked which arm of Al Qaeda concerned him the most, Gistaro told a joint session of the House armed services and intelligence panels that it was South Asia. "The primary concern is in Al Qaeda in South Asia organizing its own plots against the United States," he said. Al Qaeda planned the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks from its bases in Afghanistan.
The top leaders of the terrorist network, Gistaro added, are "able to exploit the comfort zone in the tribal areas" of Pakistan and Afghanistan and are "bringing people in to train for Western operations and we know this is true.
http://www.boston.com/news/world/asi...
You know I am increasingly concerned that Bush is going to wrongly keep us in the middle east until he can attack Iran and at the same time as this is going to happen he will find it necessary to go into Pakistan. Listening to Gistaro some of us might want to feel vindicated for our concerns but me, knowing that Bush will ignore this threat too because it does not fit his plans until it becomes another "Bush allowed" crisis, I am troubled that Pakistan will quickly become priority one. Man are we ever in serious trouble because of Bush's corruptive ineptitude as his only concern is pursuing his so called new world order.
