America is a war Nation: Part 1 of 2

The Business of America Is War:  There is a new normal in America: our government may shut down, but our wars continue.  Congress may not be able to pass a budget, but the U.S. military can still launch commando raids in Libya and Somalia, the Afghan War can still be  prosecuted,

Italy can be  garrisoned by American troops (putting the “empire” back in Rome), Africa can be used as an  imperial playground (as in the late nineteenth century “ scramble for Africa,” but with the U.S. and China doing the scrambling this time around), and the military-industrial complex can still  dominate the world’s arms trade.

America: Living to fight as it appears or Fighting to Live as we are told?

Below from counter punch is an interesting article written in 2003 about our 227 years of warfare. 7 years later and nothing has changed. We are still at war without as break and much to come in Bush's forever war I guarantee will dwarf the 100 years war. I have 3 sons in this and at this point they look at it as job security. Jim who retires in 5 years plans on going to Afghanistan after and leading or commanding troops in combat.

Otherwise war with Iran and Syria  is coming, Somalia, Yemen, what the heck is next. Look at North Korea and China. I no longer am sure about our past, our many wars, and why we really fought them. Are we fighting to live or living to fight? What about Syria and Iran both which we have egged on for years?

The Perle-Wurmser policy document demanded: 1) Destroy Yasser Arafat and the Palestinian Authority, blaming them for every act of Palestinian terrorism, including the attacks from Hamas, an organization which Sharon had helped launch during his early 1980s tenure as Minister of Defence. 2) Induce the United States to overthrow the Saddam Hussein regime in Iraq. 3) Launch war against Syria after Saddam's regime is disposed of, including striking Syrian military targets in Lebanon, and targets in Syria proper. 4) Parlay the overthrow of the Ba'athist regimes in Baghdad and Damascus into the "democratization" of the entire Arab world", including through further military actions against Iran, Saudi Arabia, and "the ultimate prize," Egypt. a clean break Think about what is going on now in Egypt, Syria, and throughout the middle east. Now do you see it differently?

I was listening again to the number of Americans killed in past wars including the civil war where some 562 thousand lost their lives as you know, fighting amongst ourselves. At first I was focused on the wasted lives in Iraq and was wondering how many there would be when all is said and done as well as feeling there is no foreseeable end. then I went to this list and I wanted to compare how many lives were lost in wars in contrast to how many we lost fighting amongst ourselves.

The numbers were getting too convoluted for me to come up with anything tangible I thought. I then was looking at the immense numbers of conflicts and wars we were in and I decided a comparison of war years to peaceful years would be best to tell our story. I couldn't figure it out. I was floored by the number of conflicts and wars America has been in since our founding and thought I would say we have only had approximately 50 years of peace and supply this link on our war and peace History.

American war history through 1975

Then I went back to Google and I found this compelling story by Jon Stanton showing that America has been at war openly or clandestinely essentially since we were founded. I merely want you to see what is out there and think about the whole story. Having read what he wrote I thought there was something at least worth reading, thinking about, and putting in perspective.

I never read him so I researched him and found him to be a Virginia based writer that writes from a left wing perspective and I am afraid I agree with much of what he says. In fact I have written much of it myself in the past. I am not a warmonger I am a peace lover so I thought I would give you the link to Jon Stanton's book 227 years of warfare written in 2003 and you could tell me what you think. 227 years of warfare

14 years later and you can make that 241 years with no end in sight. Now Syria and Iran. Hezbollah? WTF?

It did make me remember that I did a diary a while back in which I said the U.S. has a war economy and some took exception to that but looking at our History of wars our fault or not I really have to wonder, what are we? I am a peace lover willing to fight for my country as are my sons as you know but are the leaders of America particularly our President fighting to live or living to fight? what is happening to us? How are we supposed to feel? Whatever the future our children will be fighting!

Israel, Iran, the US: our future is tied but not good!

We heard about preparations yesterday but today I have both sides and the consequences of an Israeli attack on Iran! I have been saying for years now that an Israeli attack on Iran was unavoidable and long in the planning. I have done numerous stories on it saying coming to Israel's aid will be our way of getting at Iran. Israel has long declared their willingness to attack if necessary and are now thanks to us armed, prepared, and are practicing!

American military officials say Israel launched a major military exercise that appeared to be aimed in part at demonstrating its ability to stage an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. Israel's military refused to publicly confirm or deny whether the exercise was a rehearsal for a potential bombing attack. But a senior Israeli Air Force official close to the operation told FOX News that the military is preparing for all possibilities with Iran, and during this exercise was testing its refueling capabilities. The source said helicopters were even used to practice how to respond to a downed plane. An Israeli fighter pilot also confirmed to FOX News that he took part in the mock air mission in mid-May. Pentagon officials said Israel sent dozens of aircraft on the large-scale mission in the eastern Mediterranean. The aircraft used in the drill, F-15s and F-16s, flew a distance of about 900 miles — similar to the distance between Israel and uranium-enrichment facilities at Natanz, Iran, officials said. One defense official said the exercise could be taken as a show of force to Iran and a demonstration to the world that Israel is serious about the need to challenge the country's nuclear program — and might be prepared to do so militarily.

"They have been conducting some large-scale exercises — they live in a tough neighborhood," one U.S. official said, though he offered no other recent examples. Another defense official told FOX News that the "dry run" was the second time in three months Israel has carried out such a drill. The official said the reports on the mission were probably the result of a deliberate leak from the Pentagon to send a signal to Iran — and even Israel — about a potential strike against Iran.Privately, Pentagon officials grimace at the idea of Israel striking Iran, fearing the unintended consequences of such an attack. The Jerusalem Post reported that a senior cleric in Iran warned Israel, in response to the drill, that it would react to such a strike with a "strong blow." The New YorkTimes first reported Friday that more than 100 Israeli fighter jets took part in the maneuvers over the eastern Mediterranean and Greece. Citing undisclosed American officials, it said the exercise appeared to be an effort to focus on long-range strikes. "They wanted us to know, they wanted the Europeans to know and they wanted the Iranians to know," a Pentagon official told the Times. "There's a lot of signaling going on at different levels."(okay we know)

The source said the air force got permission from the countries along the Mediterranean to fly the mission. The Israeli Air Force needed permission to conduct the exercise from all the countries whose air space was entered, according to the official. The Israeli planes flew above civilian air space to avoid disrupting any passenger jets. U.S. officials, however, did not believe Israel had decided to attack Iran or think such a strike was imminent. Asked to comment, the Israeli military issued a statement saying only that the Israeli air force "regularly trains for various missions in order to confront and meet the challenges posed by the threats facing Israel." Israeli military analyst Martin Van Creveld of Jerusalem's Hebrew University said military preparations for a possible attack are indeed under way.

"Israel has been talking about this possibility for a long time, that it would not take an Iranian nuclear weapon lying down. And it has been practicing the operation or operations for a long time," he said. But though an Israeli strike would likely be able to "paralyze the most important Iranian nuclear installations," it probably won't be able to destroy the program entirely, Van Creveld said. "I would be very surprised if Israel can really knock out every part of this program, which by all accounts appears to be large and well-concealed and well-dispersed," he said. Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev offered no comment beyond the military's statement. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has said he prefers that Iran's nuclear ambitions be halted by diplomatic means, but has pointedly declined to rule out military action. In an interview with the German magazine Der Spiegel published on Wednesday, Olmert said the current international sanctions against Iran would probably not succeed alone, adding there were "many things that can be done economically, politically, diplomatically and militarily." Asked if Israel was capable of taking military action against Iran, Olmert said, "Israel always has to be in a position to defend itself against any adversary and against any threat of any kind." Israeli Military Demonstrates Ability to Attack Iran, U.S. Officials Say

*Personally I believe it will open up a hornets nest and Russia if not China will protect their interests and help Iran. Israel has long feared a three pronged attack from Iran, Syria, and Hamas. There are on going efforts to mitigate the threat from Syria and hopefully have a peaceful neighbor in Palestine as the inevitable war with Iran comes closer. In response to learning about Israel's preparations Iran has said it considers a military attack on its nuclear facilities by Israel as "impossible". "Such audacity to embark on an assault against the interests and territorial integrity of our country is impossible, said spokesman Gholam Hoseyn Elham. The statement follows reports in the US media that Israeli aerial maneuvers over the eastern Mediterranean were a possible test-run for a strike on Iran. Iran discounts 'attack by Israel

Impossible or not they are prepared! Iran would respond to an Israeli attack on nuclear facilities with a ``heavy blow,'' a senior cleric said, following a New York Times report that Israel carried out an exercise that could prepare it for such a strike. Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami leading Friday prayers in Tehran, said today that Iran favored dialogue and would resist ``mischievous acts,'' the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency said. Such an attack would prompt an ``uproar on the part of our nation,'' Khatami said. ``If enemies, especially Israelis and their U.S. supporters, wish to speak in the language of force, they should rest assured they will be dealt a heavy blow on the face by the Iranian nation,'' the ayatollah said, according to IRNA.

Khatami spoke after the report in today's Times that the Israeli military had carried out maneuvers this month over the eastern Mediterranean with more than 100 F-16 and F-15 fighters as well as refueling tankers. Citing unidentified U.S. officials, the report said that the 900-mile (1,450-kilometer) range exercise could be a rehearsal for an attack against the Iranian nuclear plant in Natanz and Iran's long-range conventional missiles. Iran doesn't recognize Israel and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has repeatedly predicted the end of the Jewish state. Crude oil rose today following the Times report that Israel held a rehearsal for a potential bombing attack on Iranian nuclear targets, and as the weaker dollar enhanced the appeal of commodities as a currency hedge. Iran Would Respond to Attack With `Heavy Blow

** Just wait until you see what else happens as a result of Israel attacking Iran and our inevitable involvement! Can anyone say gas and food rationing and that is just the beginning? As you know, fighting terrorism was merely the excuse to impose this so called new world order. The other main powers are doing the same damn thing. All it means is hell for a future and again as I say unless bringing about the end of days as I think it is, is the goal we are in more than serious trouble because someone will have to live in the mess that is left. Again as you know, I have said numerous times, this will dwarf the hundred years war in length dwarfing WW2 and the great depression combined. It is getting closer and it will not matter who is our President. They will run to Israel's aid and get this entire new world order Forever War going.

This will just feed the just beginning Bush Forever War: Georgia's integrity, reconstruction to be Czech's prioritiy as Russia plans to redraw Europe!

There is Crisis in the caucuses thanks to Bush!

As US aid to Georgia upsets Russians! At this point nothing is going to be right and I don't trust us myself!

PRAGUE, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- The territorial integrity of Georgia and the country's reconstruction after the recent armed conflict with Russia will be the Czech government's priorities at the forthcoming EU summit on Georgia, Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg said on Wednesday. What the hell can they do? The reconstruction plan should concern the whole territory of Georgia, including the breakaway regions of South Ossetia and Abkhasia whose independence Russia officially recognized on Tuesday, the Czech news agency CTK quoted Schwarzenberg as saying.

Russian troops entered Georgia in early August after Georgia tried to dominate its province South Ossetia by force. Schwarzenberg told journalists after a cabinet meeting that Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek received a relatively open mandate for the summit to be organized on Monday on the initiative of French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Topolanek said the summit would discuss long-term reconstruction of Georgia. The Czech Republic wants to earmark 150million crowns (about 8.9 million U.S. dollars) for it in the next three years, according to CTK. EU Affairs Minister Alexandr Vondra said the Czech EU presidency, lasting from January till June 2009, will certainly deal with the conflict, CTK said. Georgia's integrity Czech's priority

This is the perfect recipe for the Forever War Bush instigated and Guaranteed as Any doubts about why Russia invaded Georgia have now been erased. By illegally recognizing the Georgian territories of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, Dmitry Medvedev, Russia’s president, made clear that Moscow’s goal is to redraw the map of Europe using force. This war was never about South Ossetia or Georgia. Moscow is using its invasion, prepared over years, to rebuild its empire, seize greater control of Europe’s energy supplies and punish those who believed democracy could flourish on its borders. Europe has reason to worry. Thankfully, most of the international community has condemned the invasion and confirmed their unwavering support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. I don't know about thankfully? Russia is responding to Bush's instigation towards total war as expected what the hell is there to be thankful for?

Moscow says it invaded Georgia to protect its citizens in South Ossetia. Over the past five years it cynically laid the groundwork for this pretence, by illegally distributing passports in South Ossetia and Abkhazia, “manufacturing” Russian citizens to protect. The cynicism of Russia’s concern for ethnic minorities can be expressed in one word: Chechnya. Since Russia’s invasion, its forces have been “cleansing” Georgian villages in both regions – including outside the conflict zone – using arson, rape and execution. Human rights groups have documented these actions. Moscow has flipped the Kosovo precedent on its head: where the west acted to prevent ethnic cleansing, in Georgia ethnic cleansing is being used by Russia to consolidate its military annexation. Once again the issue has been totally confused so hidden agendas can be followed to all our demise. Doesn't Czech Poland Georgia and the rest of them realize they are screwed and for oil? WTF!

Russia’s campaign to redraw the map of Europe is based on the propagation of misinformation. On Wednesday on this page, Mr Medvedev asserted that Georgia attacked South Ossetia. In fact, our forces entered the conflict zone after Russia rolled its tanks on to our soil, passing through the Roki tunnel into South Ossetia, Georgia. Mr Medvedev also claimed Russia had no designs on our territory. Why then did it bomb and occupy Georgian cities such as Gori? Why does it continue to occupy our strategic port of Poti? The next step in Russia’s invasion script, of disinformation and annexation, is regime change. If Moscow can oust Georgia’s democratically elected government, it can then intimidate other democratic European governments. Where will this end? What we know about Russia, and especially the current regime, is not encouraging. Russia's plan to redraw the map of Europe

* With Both sides so firmly entrenched in redrawing the map in Europe thanks to Bush imposing his will for oil. This is just another small piece in the Forever War Bush has guaranteed for our future. You see what he has done in the middle east for oil causing division and Russia and the US both arming them to the teeth to fight this Bush created future mess and it is coming to a head rapidly and at the perfect time for Bush to take total control of our facade of Democracy to prosecute the lie we are living! !

Crushing Debt and Bush's Forever War! I thought I coined a new phrase but no! Peruse this stunning video and Help us!

I was lying in bed this morning thinking of Bush's Nazi like drive to war and as much as he can get in his drive for "new world order. This is frightening. I ask all of you to peruse the video below, contact them, and participate any way you can, our future depends on it! Bush's Forever War
Crushing Debt and Bush's Forever War! I said Bush has plenty of time and his greatest damage is yet to come. after thinking about all the repercussions of what this idiot is doing I now believe that it will not occur until long after he is gone if we are lucky enough to get rid of him. This Forever War he himself has started in the middle east will continue virtually "Forever" and will involve the entire world.
I was thinking about him getting ready to attack Iran knowing he wants us permanently in the middle east and China and Russia who by the was just strengthened their ties with Iran, will come to their defense, and we will be at war with them too.

It reminded me of a book I read while in the service 30 years ago titled "The Forever War" that went on for a thousand years and no one knew any longer why they were fighting and I realized Bush started it but we are in a Forever War and I wondered if China calls in our debt for whatever reason, what will happen?
In the beginning of this the so called Islamists said their stated goal was too drive us off all land around the world they consider theirs so what does he do? He attacks the Middle East. In turn the vow to drive us from Iraq and the middle east and what does he do? he says we will be there permanently. The results are obvious, Bush's Forever War. But how are we going to pay for it?
A new Congressional study finds that President Bush's plans for the US. in Iraq over the next several decades will reach the trillions of dollars, on top of the approximately $567 billion the war has already cost. That accounting assumes a significant troop draw-down -- and still tallies a daunting expense for the United States.
Story and Report

A couple of trillion Dollars for the wars that are coming are a gross underestimate when you look at $567 Billion just for the Iraq War. Look what is unfolding as we speak and will not be stopped. These wars that are no longer under control, they are just developing and will encompass the entire so called civilized world. Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran is coming, this is just the beginning and pretty soon the world..
Bush is getting interestingly and increasingly cocky and I have to ask, when Bush attacks Iran and for whatever reason we no longer have China to purchase all Bush's debt what is going to happen? Will that put an end to bush's new world order drive? China is funding Bush's forever War and his drive for new world order. Are they hoping to fund our Demise?
I as looking at the video I recommended you read earlier that as we are all too familiar with ourselves, starkly draws comparisons between Bush's quietly passed National Security Directive 51 which sets up Martial Law in the US and Hitler's which was called the enabling Act. They also said and I have heard this before, that there are 4 or 5 Admirals and Generals who will mutiny if Bush attacks Iran.
Bush's Forever War

I guarantee you he will. Do you really think a few mutineering Admirals and Generals are going to stop Bush's Forever War? He really has become Maniacal, all jokes aside! We have got to stop this mad man!
