China aircraft carrier confirmed by general
first Chinese aircraft carrier finally revealed: A top Chinese official for the first time revealed that the growing Chinese military will soon launch its first aircraft carrier."An aircraft carrier has been under construction, but has not been completed," China's Defense Minister Chen Bingde told a Hong Kong newspaper Tuesday in a rare admission for the secretive Chinese government.
The Chinese are working on a stealth aircraft said to be years away but looked pretty advanced to me, building a base in the middle east and in the Gulf of Aden, and building their first Aircraft carrier as they unveil a retrofitted Soviet carrier and announced a missile designed to sink aircraft carriers, they are also instigating around Asia with their Navy. They will get worse as we get closer to the way of the Roman Empire.
Cooperation between China Russia and the US is critical not just Russia but China too! Obama was right to say our ties will shape the future of the 21st century. The US and China are eying each other and moving very cautiously as they try to strike a balance. A few years back I began to view our relationship with China as the most important in the world. Not because we drove each others economy but because if at the time with Bush's instigation to war with Russia China due to the fact of how our 2 economies are so intertwined that if something happened China would side with us not Russia. I never imagined that today problems between China and Japan let alone Vietnam would be the issue.
As we discussed there have been at least three cases of groups of Chinese military ships crossing through the area of Okinawa since November 2008, first 4 ships then 6 then 8 and now 10 including destroyers and submarines. That case appeared to be the first involving surfaced submarines. The group of 10 ships, including the submarines, was observed about 90 miles (140 kilometers) southwest of Okinawa in international waters.
Two missile destroyers and three frigate ships from the same group were spotted participating in a flight exercise of carrier-based helicopters April 7-9, the Defense Ministry's Joint Staff Office said in a statement The war ships were in international waters but close to Okinawa and Japan was not notified. That area as you may know has natural resources under the ocean and islands claimed by both Nations. It is important that we stay in Okinawa as China plays a more important role in Asia and around the world as she gains strength militarily and economically as we just discussed. We must maintain as much of the old world balance and order as we can to maintain a balance as we try to move progressively and successfully through the 21st century! I know of China and Japan's past, I know of the still ongoing Island disputes, the disagreement over natural gas in another area of the East China Sea, I also remember that with China's economic clout rising she took the number 3 seat on the world bank and we talk constantly that China is taking the leading role in Asia and Asia relations.
Being in a superior position puts one in a unique position of power and that power must be handled gracefully, with humility, responsibly, and not abused. That is something I taught all my sons and America under Bush did a lousy job of handling. I am a little worried that China too is getting a little too heavy handed and abusive with her new position of power and beginning to take what she wants instead of being content with what she has which is what I constantly lecture has to be the case if we are to have a future. The time when man and the planet could handle war and colonialism is over, period or else!
We are Taiwan's and Japan's protectors. As China flex's their military muscles in the area we are not supposed to worry. Just what are we supposed to think they are going to do with their advanced weaponry, missiles, stealth aircraft, aircraft carriers and the like. Their threats are going to become more ominous until they cannot be ignored and it is too late. We have been here before. The world was not supposed to worry as Hitler built his arsenal and we know how that turned out.

I'm less concerned with Chinas' military hardware than I am about her computer skills. Think about it. They could take down an entire nation without firing one single shot.
If you worry about China being heavy handed then you'd better look at the example we are setting.
Demeur that is exactly what they are trying to do and we know it. You know we are doing it to them and everyone else we deem a threat too. The battlefield of the future!
Hey Jim ... I have heard a tad about this in the news today. Of course reading my journal would make some folk's think I'm a "commie", as some do locally in Texas, because of my support for China, after all they have a bad history of human right's and such. I realize this, but China I say in less than 5/6 year's or so mathematically speaking "should" be the No#1 economic world power. I like China because of Jintao and the new direction that the young Chinese want to go, and because it is becoming a very innovative type society, and because their government is a technocracy. The China- India connection has been being worked on for a few decade's, that was one of the hardest thing's to get through for the big market icon's. At the same time there is a flipside that China is looking for, and they need to be on their toes, because the "same" power's that control our government and has them bought and paid for and are screwing us, as well as our government, are the same power's that China see's and know's that is trying to take over their country in a similar fashion, they are basically learning from the west, except, unlike us, they are capitalizing off it. In the future as I have wrote, China and even other nation's for US professional's will look more attractive to live than this country. At the rate America is going, it can only amount to worse economic's, and as I jokingly wrote in earlier posting's, one of the largest immigration dumping ground's for folk's who have nothing and not wanted by anyone else, one of the new large 3rd world countries, if you will, probably more like Mexico, but without the benefit's of Mexico ... Mexico's health care for instance make's USA look like "shit class". And those who say it isnt, dont know what they are talking about. Being that this country will just be a larger gap between the have's and have not's, like Mexico is, Mexico is very wealthy for instance, but the people live poor in alot of it, especially the northern half, but also gvmnt regulate's and control's thing's like the price of tortilla's and gas/ petro, so you dont get hit like you do here with the price gouging and market effect's of speculation's investor's. My friend who live's in Monterrey drove up here for a week to spend with me, and brought me all the info on the Mexico subsidized health care, utlities subsidizing etc. My friend work's as a rep for a gvmnt subsidized and part private electrical provider that cover's the northern half region of Mexico, and make's a decent paycheck, and live's in suburban Monterrey. They are responsible for all the contracting to install electrical set up's, engineering, and supply, to large businesses, factories, etc. But back to China, I only hope to see our relation's improve as well, of course they are spying on us and watching us like a fox watches a hen house, and rightfully so ... many out of our nation are some of the world's most back stabbing at it's best, and thieves. They are also doing the thing's in their country that need's to be tackled, spending enormously on infrastructure, while this milking piss pot here, send's all our money to the wealthy and offshore, and to those who run this cesspool. Our leadership in this country overall is a waste, basically worthless with not much integrity even at that, and frankly should be eradicated ... heh, heh, heh, heh, heh ... call it "ethnic cleansing" :)
BTW Jim ... I been meaning to tell you, that when I seen that your favourite book was "The Forever War" ... I never read it or even heard of it, but thought it would be a great title for your blog here, because it cover's so much about the current war's ... just a tad humor Guy ... I'm alwayz thinking up stupid shit :)
But as far as reading book's ... I'd be lucky to read two a year these dayz ... in fact, I dont hardly read at all to be frank, one blogger once commented that I must be a prolific reader or something similar, and about how much I know, but I dont read much, and as far as formal education even, I completed 8th grade, never been back to school since, and alwayz hated school beside's recreation, and I limit how much I "do" read and remain very selective, because it influence's my thinking too much, and I like thinking for myself only. I also am not a left or right, or believe in thing's like good and evil, right and wrong, etc. I only use them word's when I write or talk to get my point across so the one I'm talking to understand's my message. I am not much of an online person as far as socializing and communicating either, I am a "very" in person type, not shy and very outspoken, I communicate better with those I can look at face to face in their eye's and such ... I am a salesman also, and if the price is right, I can sell anything. When I seen your title "in the trenches of society" or whatever ... I liked it, because that is the type person I am ... constantly in the trenches of society.
BTW ... for the record for anyone who read's these comment's here ... in the first comment's I left at the end, when I wrote "ethnic cleansing", I meant to write "ethic cleansing" ... out of humour.
