Iran next? No way! Parliament wants to execute Mousavi and Karroubi

Iran next? No way in hell, they will murder and slaughter their people and the people know it. Iran's regime make believe they are on the Arabs side but they want a resurgent dominant Persia once again and they "the IRG and the Basij" are not going to let their agenda be stopped after going this far.

Iranian lawmakers condemn protests; call for execution of leaders

Egypt echoes across region: Iran, Bahrain, Yemen Let's get back to Iran though!

As Iranian opposition groups threatened to rally in Tehran in support of the uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia, the BBC's Mohsen Asgari asks whether the Middle East political contagion could spread to Iran - the first non-Arab country. Iran arrests opposition leaders head of pro-Egypt rally in Tehran Mousavi, his wife Zahra Rahnavard, Karroubi, and many of the protest leaders have been arrested or are under house arrest. They have taken to the roof tops again shouting God is great as they are afraid of being killed.

There are dozens of police and security forces in the Vali-ye Asr Avenue [Tehran's largest street]... they have blocked entrances of metro stations in the area," a witness told Reuters. Critics say Ahmadinejad's government was moving to squash the potential for a repeat of pro-Democracy demonstrations that rocked the country after the 2009 election -- demonstrations that were ultimately put down by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. Thousands demonstrate in Iran despite ban

As you know, the IRGC was set up to protect the ruling authority after 1979 and are supposed to be controlled By Ayatollah Khamenei authority. I know Ahmadinejad and 2/3 of his first 21 member cabinet are ex IRGC members and that simply reinforces that I am increasingly led to think the IRGC has become the final authority not the Supreme leader.

The Supreme leader is appearing as a puppet needed to keep the religious leaders together and to make it appear that they are still in charge. They have become a major force capable of taking control of Iran and I am afraid nothing less than that is what has happened.Iran is not going to let their fascist agenda be stopped now.

We gave Iran their nuclear start in the fifties they are not going to stop and we will not know where they are till they possess a nuke.

We gave Iran their start in the fifties and once Khomenei returned from exile their efforts to control the middle east and develop nuclear power and weapons began in earnest. As you know, when asked by a journalist how he felt upon returning to Iran in 1979 after 15 years in exile. Khomeini’s curt, one-word reply was “nothing” Whoa! From day one of his return to Iran Khomeini expressed no love for Iran only a love of the atom bomb. The drive even then was to possess a nuclear weapon though that desire is still denied until Iran can get their hands on one.

I have tried to give Iran the benefit of the doubt when they say their nuclear desires are peaceful knowing they could use nuclear power as an energy source for their growing population. I have always asserted that perceived need could be cover for the real goal of developing a nuclear weapon.

The nuclear program of Iran was launched in the 1950s with the help of the United States as part of the Atoms for Peace program. The support, encouragement and participation of the United States and Western European governments in Iran's nuclear program continued until the 1979 Islamic revolution that toppled the Shah of Iran. We are so concerned about Pakistan and Iran today in regard to nuclear abilities and nuclear weapons and security. I was blown away to find out that we built the first nuclear Reactors in both Iran and Pakistan. Nuclear program of Iran - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia atoms for peace

I would have to assume this was after we overthrew the democratically elected President of Iran Mohammad Mosaddeq to install our ruthless puppet the Shah of Iran. We built and supplied Iran's first reactor because we thought we were in control. What the hell is wrong with us? That makes us personally responsible for the 1979 Revolution in Iran, the capture of our hostages, the disaster in the desert after a failed attempt to rescue them, the rise of the Revolutionary Guard, the protesters dilemma, the nuclear issue in Iran today, everything!

You know from numerous discussions here that Iran is involved in every Middle Eastern country not just Yemen, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia where they have corrupted elections for Shiite interests in Iraq, backing rebels in Yemen, and instigating attacks on Saudi oil fields. Bush freed Iran to instigate far and wide and are even training Taliban on their border. Any new actions will only serve to worsen their instigation and cause them to cause chaos everywhere they can and further Bush's total Middle East breakdown Period.

You know, I have long said that Iran’s civilian nuclear program is a cover for their nuclear weapons program. They have been working at this for over 60 years nobody can seriously think anything can stop them without direct confrontation after they have gone this far. That would mean war whether it's Russia, the US or China. All we can hope for is that it is kept limited and not allowed to develop into WW3.

It's hard to say. Egypt was a fairly authoritarian nation and look what happened to them. If enough people start suffering then it's game over for the regime. People will only stand for so much. I suspect many of Mubarak's goons weren't able to feed their families either.

I agree Demeur but there is no way in hell Persian Iran is going to let go of their agenda to lord over Arabian dominated middle east. Their Parliament has already called for the execution of Mousavi, Karoubi, and other protest leaders.
