Tony Blankley: Wiki leaks Julian Assange may be guilty of treason punishable by death, I agree!

Just look at that SOB, how can anyone be foolish enough to think he did this because he's righteous?

Pentagon demands WikiLeaks return all leaked documents

Tony Blankley - Wiki Espionage

Many of you know 3 of my sons are career military and in and out of these wars. I disagreed with the illegal war on Iraq and I disagree with the way the war is being conducted in Afghanistan and feel we should pull out now with our heads high and the job well done but you know that is not going to happen.

Whatever you think about the war in Afghanistan you do have a sense of right and wrong. When I first became aware of Julian Assange and the wikileaks my first thought was that there was no new news here. Then I thought about it and had to wonder how many of our troops have been killed and wounded because this ass took it upon himself to publish 90,000 secret documents with the promise of more to come.

Without a doubt the future cooperation of Afghani's helping us so we can stabilize Afghanistan and get out has seriously been jeopardized. I wonder how many who have helped in the past have been found and killed thanks to Assange. The more I thought about it the more I was bothered that I see some who are unversed enough to say he should be given a Nobel peace prize. I thought there must be a law against what he did.

Well there is! if Assange was in Russia , China, Iran, or anywhere else he would already be dead along with his family. There is nothing honorable or righteous about his intentions. Just look at his face his intent is nothing but malicious and vengeance. I hope you read the wikipedia about him. He was not imprisoned for being good in doing this in the past. He is ruthless and unconcerned about what he has done. He better be held accountable and even though he is not a US citizen we can do it and it should already be done.

Because of damaging wartime leaks by WikiLeaks operator Julian Assange, Assange should be prosecuted and possibly executed by the U.S. government for wartime espionage.
Title 18 U.S. Code, Section 794, Paragraph (b) reads:

"Whoever, in time of war, with intent that the same shall be communicated to the enemy, collects, records, publishes, or communicates, or attempts to elicit any information with respect to the movement, numbers, description, condition, or disposition of any of the Armed Forces, ships, aircraft, or war materials of the United States, or with respect to the plans or conduct, or supposed plans or conduct of any naval or military operations, or with respect to any works or measures undertaken for or connected with, or intended for the fortification or defense of any place, or any other information relating to the public defense, which might be useful to the enemy, shall be punished by death or by imprisonment for any term of years or for life."

The New York Times, the Guardian and Der Spiegel who coordinated the publication of his leaks should be prosecuted too, I agree they might find the following Subsection (c) also to be a revealing read: "If two or more persons conspire to violate this section, and one or more of such persons do any act to effect the object of the conspiracy, each of the parties to such conspiracy shall be subject to the punishment provided for the offense which is the object of such conspiracy."

According to Friday's New York Times, "Justice Department lawyers are exploring whether Mr. Assange and WikiLeaks could be charged with inducing, or conspiring in violations of the Espionage Act." They damn sure have and the more I think about it the more I see so called extremists very happy and emboldened. They were picking up anyway but they are now empowered to go full bore. These people should all be in custody already though the damage is done and I can't believe we are playing games. This is no game!

Jim, I agree in part. Whedn government witholds the truth from the American people, we depend on leakers to tell us what our government should, but wont. For that reason, I still consider Daniel Ellsberg a hero. How this case differs is that Assange should have redacted such names and places whose disclosure could but service people and civilians at risk for their lives. This he did not do.

The US Government can't say "it's old news" and then proceed to charge someone with espionage. I condemn the leaking of civillian names, but the rest is information we should know about why, and how, we are fighting this insane war.

If anything, our government has been too secretive about both war and surveillance of citizens. If we are the good guys, then the truth should be on our side.

Tom it is the FU I am going to divulge what I want attitude I do not like. I would take care of him myself if I could because some of my sons are in this.

We will never know the tryth even with these leaks. I am concerned about my sons and Afghan civilians who will be killed.

Jim have you bothered to download the file and actually read it? I didn't think so. The files are a history of what happened from 2004 to 2009. There is nothing in the files that would give the enemy any critical information. It does however show just how screwed up this entire operation really is.
Cheney in his outing of a CIA agent did far more damage to our national security and field agents than the leaks of these documents.

Oh yeah I was looking at them but only a sample. I know no one that has looked at all 90000. Everything I saw was old news to all of us but who knows what we have not seen and what and who was outed and will pay with their life.

Before I add my two cents, I have to read a synopsis of the report. I will say this, those who say they have reported it indeed was old news. Every other source I've read says names have been redacted. I do know this, it took a hell of a long time before we new the truth about Tillman.
Also that young woman,Jessica Lynch, that story was made up to gather support for the war. It was Jessica, who said it was bullshit as to what they were saying. I wish in both of these cases we had an inside track. The Military lie to us? All the time.

Tim we will never know the truth about Tillman. We killed him period. We will never know the truth about any of this lie we arwe living today. Supposedly critical info was redacted but I don't know of anyone who read all 90,000 pages, certainly not me. At any rate I would expect the slime to be more vindictive this time. Think he is doing good or not I think he should be put down and I volunteer!
