Iran says Middle East peace talks futile: I agree because neither side want peace only war to win their way or so they think

Iran says Middle East peace talks futile

Housing vs. peace is Israeli quandary Even before peace talks with the Palestinians begin, Israel’s government is fiercely debating a key concession: whether to extend a slowdown of West Bank settlement construction. Israeli officials confirmed Monday that the government is in quiet talks with the United States in search to at least some continued construction in secret talks with the US. I hate to say it but I agree with Iran. Stop the building and give the Palestinians their homeland now!

Ayalon: Israel will react to Iran attack

I reiterate: Palestinians for their part are doing their share for peace but it is futile: They are willing to let Israel control the wailing wall and just want East Jerusalem as their capital but there is no way in hell Israel is going to give that up as they swear it belongs to them. It does not belong to them. They do not want peace unless they get everything they want and they will not. This will only end in war and we will be dragged in. That is why Bush ignored Afghanistan to get into the Middle East. Right from the get go helping Israel against Iran was the goal.

Again I reiterate there will never be peace in the Middle East, period! Only the UN wants it, Israel wants it her way and Iran/Syria want Israel obliterated, period. Israel and Iran have long been in preparation for this confrontation. As you know, when asked by a journalist how he felt upon returning to Iran in 1979 after 15 years in exile. Khomeini’s curt, one-word reply was “nothing” Whoa! From day one of his return to Iran Khomeini expressed no love for Iran only a love of the atom bomb. The drive even then was to possess a nuclear weapon though that desire is still denied until Iran can get their hands on one.

I have tried to give Iran the benefit of the doubt when they say their nuclear desires are peaceful knowing they could use nuclear power as an energy source for their growing population. I have always asserted that perceived need could be cover for the real goal of developing a nuclear weapon.

The nuclear program of Iran was launched in the 1950s with the help of the United States as part of the Atoms for Peace program.[1] The support, encouragement and participation of the United States and Western European governments in Iran's nuclear program continued until the 1979 Islamic revolution that toppled the Shah of Iran. We are so concerned about Pakistan and Iran today in regard to nuclear abilities and nuclear weapons and security. I was blown away to find out that we built the first nuclear Reactors in both Iran and Pakistan. Nuclear program of Iran - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia atoms for peace

I would have to assume this was after we overthrew the democratically elected President of Iran Mohammad Mosaddeq to install our ruthless puppet the Shah of Iran. We built and supplied Iran's first reactor because we thought we were in control. What the hell is wrong with us? That makes us personally responsible for the 1979 Revolution in Iran, the capture of our hostages, the disaster in the desert after a failed attempt to rescue them, the rise of the Revolutionary Guard, the protesters dilemma, the nuclear issue in Iran today, everything!

You know, I have long said that Iran’s civilian nuclear program is a cover for their nuclear weapons program. Now I see that Arab leaders feel the same way. They fear a nuclear arms race and I can only conclude that knowing how far along Iran is and how they feel that they are hedging their bets and it is already under way clandestinely.

On the other side there is Israel! I realized a long time ago that Israel is the world's chief war monger and we seem to do their bidding and fighting. If they get into a war with Iran we will end up coming to their rescue regardless of what they do or what Hillary says and that is sad! We should in fact take care of Jewish American's and American's and our interests in Israel and otherwise tell them in no uncertain terms they are on their own if they continue to instigate war not peace and expecting us to come to their rescue.

Remember Mordechai Vanunu whistle blower of Israel's clandestine nuclear program? Uzi Eilam former head of Israel's Atomic Energy Commission said Mordechai Vanunu did Israel a favor after revealing information about an illegal nuclear program at Israel's Dimona reactor. His information proved that Israel had broken the 1968 treaty on nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.

There is a US law that prohibits the support of countries that break the treaty in question. Vanunu's information led foreign experts to conclude that Israel had produced fissile material for as many as 200 atomic warheads thus warning other Nation's of Israel's military might. It was okay for Israel why the hypocrisy? Remember Mordechai Vanunu whistle blower of Israel's clandestine nuclear program? It was okay for Israel why the hypocrisy? Remember this discussion? The US will pay the price for Israel and US nuclear lies and hypocrisy after Israel attacks!

I must admit Israel's hypocrisy and lies are a plan I have discussed often and I have to disagree with Eliam's final assertion. He says an attack on Iran's nuclear program would be counter productive. I beg to differ! The General hit the nail on the head though and does not know it. I have long asserted that Israel would attack Iran's nuclear interests and we would come to her rescue.

That is a fact that is why I find his final statement troubling and prophetic. He correctly said One strike is not practical. In order to delay the Iranian program for three to four years one needs an armada of aircraft, which only a super-power can provide. Only America can do it. Bingo! You know from numerous discussions here that Iran is involved in every Middle Eastern country not just Yemen, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia where they have corrupted elections for Shiite interests in Iraq, backing rebels in Yemen, and instigating attacks on Saudi oil fields. Bush freed Iran to instigate far and wide and they are.

Israel is not going to back down neither will Iran. When all is said and done Israel knows the US will be there for them. It is time for Iran to put up or shut up! I am sure the US plans to come to Israel's rescue and do it largely from the Gulf with numerous carrier fighter groups. If it is really war they want stop the blustering and get on with it. It is getting closer!

Considering there hasn't been peace in the middle east for some 2000 years I'd say your bet is safe. Real question is would any of these parties use nukes? If so then things would get dicey.
Looking at your maps of Palistine from past and present it's easy to see Palistine's position. When you have a greedy nextdoor neighbor that keeps taking your land and bullying you there's no choice. When you have a farm and the neighbor builds a large steel wall through the middle you wouldn't be too happy about that either.

Yeah you can see nothing but war period. We use to have a policy of not giving the middle east advanced weapons so as not to add fuel to the fire but as you know, that changed under Bush and continues with Obama.

I keep hoping we can keep it non nuclear because someone has to be able to live there or so we think.

I don't know if you know my friend Jerome Grossman "the relentless liberal" who you can Google but he is 93 now and the father of our our nuclear non proliferation movement.

He and his foundations has been behind every important liberal cause for the last 65 years including the Vietnam moratorium.

Anyway he still lectures daily and is active in speaking against nuclear proliferation. I agree more with his son but I told Jerome when I worked with nukes in the military we were told they were a deterrent due to mutual destruction. Sometimes today I think mutual destruction is the goal.

I was NOT a reporter in 2005, but I became one after Vanunu told me:

"President Kennedy tried to stop Israel from building atomic weapons. Kennedy insisted on an open internal inspection.

"When Johnson became president, he made an agreement with Israel that two senators would come every year to inspect. Before the senators would visit, the Israelis would build a wall to block the underground elevators and stairways. From 1963 to ’69, the senators came, but they never knew about the wall that hid the rest of the Dimona from them.

"Nixon stopped the inspections and agreed to ignore the situation. As a result, Israel increased production. In 1986, there were over two hundred bombs. Today, they may have enough plutonium for ten bombs a year."

PLEASE listen to Vanunu speak for himself in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010 video and sign the international petition to FREE VANUNU NOW @The Vanunu Saga: 2005-2010

Hi Eileen! Every time I mention this I hope to hear from you. You are lucky and I always learn from you. Knowing we turned our heads when Israel broke the NPT I have a little problem with going after Iran but knowing the nature of that beast we have no choice. PS. too bad you didn't get a pic of you with Vanunu but yours is nice. Lucky you!

Hi again average patriot,
I get goggle alerts for Vanunu, so i knew of the conversation. The US has been in violation of the NPT since the day we signed it.
See "US and Israeli Nuclear Deceptions" @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bslmk5jipGA

PS: I do have a photo of me and V, and if i could figure out how to update my profile, i would change the photo.

Hi Eileen! If you're on Blogger it is presto chango. Just go to your dashboard next to your profile is the option to edit profile. I would like to see that picture if you do but not to worry.

It really bothers me that those with the power can do anything they want but nobody else can. Bush was the most blatant example of that.

I told all my sons when you have the power wield it authoritatively but kindly, keep yourself in check and they do.To me you know you are powerful so you keep it to yourself and just know you have it if needed.

Interesting background Eileen. I was watching a documentary about our tactics for defending against nukes back in the 60s. It was our plan to fire Nike missiles near incoming Russian planes. The nuclear blast would take out any planes but also kill us in the process. Gad! And I lived not to far from one of those Nike bases but didn't know the plan.

All right Eileen I just noticed this. I was on your site and joined you on twitter but anyway I noticed you are on blogger. On the toop left hand side of your page there is an orange Blogger icon with a magnifying glass next to it. Click on the icon. You will see your photo and profile on the left. just hit edit photo and you can insert a new one. Thanks for the link I'm going to look at it now.

And we will never know how many times we have come closer than a pinch of salt to a nuclear catastrophe.

From Ashkelon prison in 1987, Mordechai Vanunu wrote:

"Any country, which manufactures and stocks nuclear weapons, is first of all endangering its own citizens. This is why the citizens must confront their government and warn it that it has no right to expose them to this danger. Because, in effect, the citizens are being held hostage by their own government, just as if they have been hijacked and deprived of their freedom and threatened…when governments develop nuclear weapons without the consent of their citizens - and this is true in most cases - they are violating the basic rights of their citizens, the basic right not to live under constant threat of annihilation…Is any government qualified and authorized to produce such weapons?"

You know, I had an Indian Professor write about 4 years ago when it looked like Bush might do something against Pakistan.

He said if we went after Pakistan they would unite against us and any country who uses nuclear weapons first will feel the combined wrath of the world.

I think I told you they use to tell me the fear of mutual destruction was a deterrent to nuclear war now sometimes it seems to be the goal. We are living on the edge and with all the loose nukes and waste, who is going to push us over?

Whether by mistake or madness, this world could irrevocably change in a few hours time.

The Declaration of Independence from Nuclear Weapons at Oak Ridge Nuclear Weapons Center/Y-12, was read just prior to the arrests of 36 nonviolent anti-nuke activists:

The Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 indicted a government that engaged in barbaric conduct contrary to the laws of Humanity that included "works of death, destruction and tyranny unparalleled in the most barbaric ages" until the Age of Now!

Current Law requires an end to all planning, preparation, production, threat, or use of nuclear weapons and we the people have gathered here today, July 4, 2010 at Y-12 to demand this Government adhere to the fundamental rules and principles of Humanitarian Law.

These rules and principles require that civilians never be the object of attack. Consequently we must never use weapons that are incapable of distinguishing between civilians and military targets.

Whereas, all W-76 and W-76-1 thermonuclear secondaries produced at Y-12 are designed and produced to unleash 100 KT of uncontrollable and indiscriminate heat, blast and radiation, six times more than the Hiroshima Bomb,

Whereas, the International Court of Justice found that the destructive power of nuclear weapons cannot be contained in either space or time, and that the potential to destroy all civilization and the entire ecosystem of the planet,

Whereas, citizens have both rights and duties we the people of conscience must ensure future generations their right to life,

Whereas, under the principals of democracy we the people of conscience demand this government to fulfill its promise and responsibilities to pursue and achieve nuclear disarmament,

We the people of conscience therefore exercise the right of every citizen of this republic and this planet to peacefully resist the nuclear threat; attacking as it does every core concept of human rights.

Whereas it is a basic human right to be free of threat or violence, and it is our duty to protect children and future generations we call on this government to use our tax dollars that are now being used to wage permanent war unequivocally demand they be used to pursue a nuclear free world and clean up all chemical and radioactive contamination.

On Monday morning, August 16th, 14 nonviolent peace activists were arrested after blocking a Caterpillar truck on the site of a proposed WMD Facility in Kansas City, Missouri:

I saw the comments and was wondering whoa where'd those come from. Until now, that is the problem. This applies not only to the US but the entire world. We do not matter! I told you Jerome started our nuclear non proliferatio0n movement I think in 1946.

He was pretty pleased to see the reduction agreement between Medvedev and Obama but the realist in me says what is it worth. One is too many and like it or not they are here plus plants waste , all of it potential weapons and death forever as it has an indeterminable life span.

We the people, the righteous, the peace lovers of the world want peace and want to be heard but I learned we do not matter we are merely pawns to be used and sacrificed for the ruling party to get their way.

If we are to have a future period the so called big 3 must come together and cooperate. If not there will be no future. There can be no more Bush's. We had a golden opportunity to unite after the cold war but Bush and Cheney chose to divide and conquer instead.

I still have faith! I believe war in the middle east is a given regardless of what we want. It is up to the big 3 to keep it from being nuclear and from becoming ww3.

We know the future is in our hands, it is up to us do we want a future or do we want Armageddon. Sadly it is up to the Governments because when all is said and done we do not matter and are merely an inconvenience to be placated.
