Saudi's want bigger role in Iraq to counter Iran, Iran Ready for Confrontation with Israel, Bush's middle east breakdown imminent

ANALYSIS-Saudi wants bigger role in Iraq to counter Iran

Iran Ready for Confrontation with Israel

Ahmadinejad calls for "face to face talks" with Obama Xinhua Ahmadinejad says the US has so many nuclear bombs and fears Iran having even one. No kidding because Iran has threatened to use them if they had them and you can bet they will as they want to obliterate Israel.

Okay, I will make no excuses. This is going to be a bit lengthy but not as long as could or should be. This Middle East breakdown guaranteed by Bush after attacking Iraq to free Iran up to instigate throughout the Middle East is immanent. I will just reiterate 2 discussions we have had numerous times as they are coming to fruition:

Saudi-Iranian Neo Cold War:
At the same time as it denies cooperating with preparations for a potential Israeli attack on Iran, Saudi Arabia prepares for strike of its own. Saudi Arabia’s air force has signed a deal to upgrade its fleet of 150 strike aircraft and procure advanced weaponry to respond to an Iranian military threat while simultaneously denying reports that the country is coordinating with Israel over a possible strike against Iran’s nuclear sites.
Saudi's upgrading fighter jets to counter Iran's threat

“The Saudis are very worried about the growing power of Iran,”I use to be concerned that the old confrontation would erupt in war between Iran and at the least US armed Saudi Arabia?

You can not blame them but I had no idea the dissention goes all the way back to the naming of the Gulf. Saudi’s know it as the Gulf of Arabia and I can remember that but Iran calls it the Persian Gulf as the rest of us seem to now.

Both Iran and Saudi Arabia have been using Lebanon as their battlefront up to now able to avoid direct confrontation. Iran has pumped millions of dollars in supplies and arms much to the consternation of her suffering people while Saudi Arabia has been supporting the Palestinian Authority. As you know, Iran has many problems at home plus the UN who is trying to keep them from developing nuclear weapons. Now Iran is going to sanction attempting to break Israel's blockade of Gaza to take the heat off them and get direct confrontation with Israel going.

While the world had been engrossed following events in Iran since the election was stolen to keep fascist Ahmadinejad and he fascist agenda in control Iran has been fueling a rebel war in Yemen and what a surprise it has extended into Saudi Arabia. A propaganda war is also being waged. Egypt and Saudi Arabia have pulled the plug on Iran’s Arabic speaking TV. It makes me wonder why they did not do that during the height of the protests when Iran’s Government sanctioned channel was televising pure lies and propaganda? I find it hard to believe that Iran is that vulnerable in that area!

So far there has been no direct confrontation. However I absolutely saw what I have been warning about since Bush diverted from Afghanistan to attack Iraq and get back in the middle east to create a new middle east (dis)order! I do not give a damn what anyone says. Bush Cheney and their Democratization program in an already historically unstable middle east set all of this and more in motion!

The hell on earth Bush created for Iraqi’s will engulf the entire Middle East before it encompasses the entire world if we can not contain it. Under Bush we broke a long standing tradition of not adding fuel to the Middle East fire by supplying weapons. We are now, including advanced weaponry and missile defense systems. The Middle East breakdown Bush started armed and funded will continue under Obama. This up to now proxy war in the middle east is under way and Saudi Arabia is hoping Israel keeps Iran busy until the US is forced to come to their rescue as you know they will. Wait, watch, and listen, this is not good for the world and our future!

Israeli intelligence experts say that Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan are at least as worried as themselves and the West about an Iranian nuclear arsenal.Israel has sent missile-class warships and at least one submarine capable of launching a nuclear warhead through the Suez Canal for deployment in the Red Sea within the past year, as both a warning to Iran and in anticipation of a possible strike.

When all is said and done we hear our navy is not over extended and I disagree but their assets will be used here but it would be tough on the country at a bad time. Food, gas and oil, will be rationed but as you know I have said before, knowing a nuclear Iran would to common sensed eyes mean a power balance in the middle east you have to come to the conclusion that is not wanted.

Israel will never accept a nuclear Iran and will attack. Whoever is President will come to their rescue! Once again war will occur to prevent war. That makes sense yeah! Again as I keep saying, at one time the threat of mutual destruction use to be a deterrence. Today it seems to be the goal.

I reiterate there will never be peace in the Middle East, period! Only the US wants it, Israel wants it her way and Iran/Syria want Israel obliterated, period. Israel and Iran have long been in preparation for this confrontation. As you know, when asked by a journalist how he felt upon returning to Iran in 1979 after 15 years in exile. Khomeini’s curt, one-word reply was “nothing” Whoa! From day one of his return to Iran Khomeini expressed no love for Iran only a love of the atom bomb. The drive even then was to possess a nuclear weapon though that desire is still denied until Iran can get their hands on one.

I have tried to give Iran the benefit of the doubt when they say their nuclear desires are peaceful knowing they could use nuclear power as an energy source for their growing population. I have always asserted that perceived need could be cover for the real goal of developing a nuclear weapon.

The nuclear program of Iran was launched in the 1950s with the help of the United States as part of the Atoms for Peace program.[1] The support, encouragement and participation of the United States and Western European governments in Iran's nuclear program continued until the 1979 Islamic revolution that toppled the Shah of Iran. We are so concerned about Pakistan and Iran today in regard to nuclear abilities and nuclear weapons and security. I was blown away to find out that we built the first nuclear Reactors in both Iran and Pakistan. Nuclear program of Iran - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia atoms for peace

I would have to assume this was after we overthrew the democratically elected President of Iran Mohammad Mosaddeq to install our ruthless puppet the Shah of Iran. We built and supplied Iran's first reactor because we thought we were in control. What the hell is wrong with us? That makes us personally responsible for the 1979 Revolution in Iran, the capture of our hostages, the disaster in the desert after a failed attempt to rescue them, the rise of the Revolutionary Guard, the protesters dilemma, the nuclear issue in Iran today, everything!

You know, I have long said that Iran’s civilian nuclear program is a cover for their nuclear weapons program. Now I see that Arab leaders feel the same way. They fear a nuclear arms race and I can only conclude that knowing how far along Iran is and how they feel that they are hedging their bets and it is already under way clandestinely.

On the other side there is Israel! I realized a long time ago that Israel is the world's chief war monger and we seem to do their bidding and fighting. If they get into a war with Iran we will end up coming to their rescue regardless of what they do or what Hillary says and that is sad! We should in fact take care of Jewish American's and American's and our interests in Israel and otherwise tell them in no uncertain terms they are on their own if they continue to instigate war not peace and expecting us to come to their rescue.

Remember Mordechai Vanunu whistle blower of Israel's clandestine nuclear program? Uzi Eilam former head of Israel's Atomic Energy Commission said Mordechai Vanunu did Israel a favor after revealing information about an illegal nuclear program at Israel's Dimona reactor. His information proved that Israel had broken the 1968 treaty on nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.

There is a US law that prohibits the support of countries that break the treaty in question. Vanunu's information led foreign experts to conclude that Israel had produced fissile material for as many as 200 atomic warheads thus warning other Nation's of Israel's military might. It was okay for Israel why the hypocrisy? Remember Mordechai Vanunu whistle blower of Israel's clandestine nuclear program? It was okay for Israel why the hypocrisy? Remember this discussion? The US will pay the price for Israel and US nuclear lies and hypocrisy after Israel attacks!

I must admit Israel's hypocrisy and lies are a plan I have discussed often and I have to disagree with Eliam's final assertion. He says an attack on Iran's nuclear program would be counter productive. I beg to differ! The General hit the nail on the head though and does not know it. I have long asserted that Israel would attack Iran's nuclear interests and we would come to her rescue.

That is a fact that is why I find his final statement troubling and prophetic. He correctly said One strike is not practical. In order to delay the Iranian program for three to four years one needs an armada of aircraft, which only a super-power can provide. Only America can do it. Bingo! You know from numerous discussions here that Iran is involved in every Middle Eastern country not just Yemen, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia where they have corrupted elections for Shiite interests in Iraq, backing rebels in Yemen, and instigating attacks on Saudi oil fields. Bush freed Iran to instigate far and wide and they are.

Israel is not going to back down. When all is said and done they know the US will be there for them. It is time for Iran to put up or shut up! I am sure the US plans to come to Israel's rescue and do it largely from the Gulf with numerous carrier fighter groups and they are almost finished with their 30000 pound bunker buster behemoth to take out underground facilities. Iran can negate that by paying for the Palestinian's power to help them and send food and medical supplies by accepted channels. If it is really war they want stop the blustering and get on with it!

* Well it is imminent!

Jim, as you know, you and I both predicted conflict between Israel and Iran, and nothing would pleas me more than to be wrong on this one.

The US is right to oppose Iran's quest to become a nuclear power. The US is wrong to have turned a blind eye to Israel's nuclear weapons program, and both India's and Pakistan's as well.

US, mostly Republican, hypocrisy, especially Crawford Caligula's empire building attempts and failures, have put us in this mess, and the only way I see out of it is for Israel and Iran to suddenly become reasonable, an unlikely prospect.

I agree with TC. We seem to keep doing the same things over and over and expect different results. We've messed with so many governments in that region I'm surprised that they all aren't against us.
I also think that we're just waiting for Israel to do out dirty work.

Hi Tom! There will never be pace in the middle east and as you know, this was all done on purpose and it really pisses me off. This has yet to begin but begin it will. Just another part of Bush's forever war!

Demeur as you know, every single time we interfere it comes back to haunt us and this is no exception.

Israel's "dirty work" is to aid in getting this war going. Our dirty work will be coming to their rescue and doing the heavy lifting.

Thing is Jim, there's not a damn thing we can do about it. Like Demeur said, we don't learn. At some point I hope we realize the true enemy may be Israel.

No Tim we will never learn and we will end up in this too. It has been an obvious given for a long time it is just sickening in our current political and financial situation to say nothing about our military.
